VIRGINIA: GOP State Del. Mark Cole Intros Bill Requiring “Correct Anatomical Sex” For Restroom Use

GOP Virginia state Del. Mark Cole wants to see what students have between their legs. Via Crooks & Liars:

Cole wins the Creepiest Lawmaker of the Day award for this stunning piece of legislation, requiring that students strictly adhere to designated restroom assignments or risk being fined.

The legislation as filed requires that students attending schools designating restrooms for a specific gender be fined if they use the restroom of the opposite gender.

The proposed law defines gender as “anatomical sex, mean[ing] the physical condition of being male or female, which is determined by a person’s anatomy.” If students break the law, they are fined up to $50 per infraction.

Under that definition, the only way for anyone to determine such a thing would be to examine each student’s genitalia as they enter the restroom. Is that really what Cole thinks public schools should be doing?

RELATED: In 2010 Cole introduced a bill which would have banned placing microchips in humans. The bill was opposed by missing children groups and by advocates for Alzheimer’s patients. According to Cole, such action would totally encourage the Anti-Christ and bring about the End Times. Not incidentally, Cole’s bill was backed by state Sen. Charles Carrico, who yesterday introduced a bill that would allow state employees to refuse to issue same-sex marriage licenses.
