AFA Prayer Of The Day: Smite Non-Christians

In today’s prayer of the day, the American Family Association asks God to “stop holding back your right hand” and smite non-believers. They write:

Lord God, We praise you today as the God who is our King from of old, the one who brings salvation upon the earth. You are the one who split open the sea by your power, and broke the heads of the monster in the waters. You opened up springs and streams, and dried up the ever flowing rivers. The day is yours, and also the night; you established the sun and the moon. You are the God who set the boundaries of the earth and made both summer and winter.

And yet your enemies mock you, and foolish people revile your name. Fools mock you all day long. The clamor of your adversaries and the uproar of your enemies rises continually. We ask you to stop holding back your right hand, and to take it from the folds of your garment and overcome them. We pray that you will rise up, O God, and defend your cause.
