SOUTH DAKOTA: Lawyer Asks For Summary Judgment In Marriage Case

Via KSFY-ABC in Sioux Falls: There’s a development in the lawsuit to overturn South Dakota’s ban on same-sex marriage. The Minneapolis-based lawyer, Joshua Newville, does not want the case to go to trial. Instead, he wants the judge to rule the ban is unconstitutional, and legalize same-sex marriage. And he says he has precedence on his side. Newville enlisted the …

MINNESOTA: Christian “Infiltrators” Claim 80 Converts At Twin Cities Pride

Last month I reported that a coalition of Minnesota churches planned to “infiltrate” (their word) Twin Cities Pride in order to convert attendees and cure them of AIDS. Journalist Andy Birkey reports on how things went: An evangelical group called Trinity Works sent outreach workers canvassing through Twin Cities Pride, and set up a corn feed in hopes of luring …

Over at Boy Culture, Matt Rettenmund has compiled another of his exhaustive rankings – this time taking a look at the “100 Most Memorable Guest Spots On Golden Girls.” Dick Van Dyke, Ruby Dee, Cesar Romero, and many lesser known but still fascinating personalities make the list. I found the Star Trek tidbit the most interesting. Hit the link and …

Louie Gohmert: Send Troops To Mexico

Brian Tashman writes at Right Wing Watch: Rep. Louie Gohmert is pretty sure that President Obama is pushing for minors to cross the border as part of a giant voter fraud scheme, and thinks that if the president were serious about cracking down on illegal immigration, then he would send troops to the Southern border … and perhaps into Mexico. …

Britain’s Telegraph: “The metrosexual is dead, long live the spornosexual: a more extreme sex and body-obsessed male. But who exactly are they? We found out.” Spoiler: They’re pretty much the gay men of the last 25 years.

Is Rosie Returning To The View?

Page Six says it’s a done deal. Rosie O’Donnell has been offered a “one-year, seven-figure deal” to rejoin “The View,” sources said — and she’s demanding a say on her co-hosts and absolutely no reality stars. Just days after we reported that ABC was reaching out to her, insiders tell us the deal is not confirmed but is “absolutely in …

Sarah Palin: Impeach President Obama

“Enough is enough of the years of abuse from this president. His unsecured border crisis is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, ‘no mas.’ President Obama’s rewarding of lawlessness, including his own, is the foundational problem here. It’s not going to get better, and in fact irreparable harm can be done in this lame-duck term as he …

VIRGINIA: Marriage Ruling Imminent

So says the Richmond Times-Dispatch: Almost two months after an appeals court in Richmond heard arguments in a federal case aimed at overturning Virginia’s same-sex marriage ban, a ruling is imminent, legal experts say. But the fact that the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has not yet weighed in may indicate opposing views on the three-judge panel and that …

Maggie Mocks Gay Parenting Study

“The New York Times and the media are widely reporting the results of a new study of 500 children raised by same-sex couples. Researchers are aghast that such a shoddy piece of work, which is based on a convenience sample of parents who volunteered to be surveyed, and which relies solely on these parents’ reports to determine child well-being, should …

Paging You-Know-Who….

Via AdWeek: Carl’s Jr./Hardee’s isn’t a shy fast-food chain. But this time they’ve traded oiled-up models for innuendo. I won’t spoil the new spots, but let’s just say they aren’t too subtle. The approach shouldn’t be too surprising, as this is the same restaurant chain that once asked people if they preferred A holes or B holes. I am curious …
