Focused on providing education, resources and raising awareness, The Handsome Father’s programs and services include a one-to-one mentorship program, an online platform to showcase family profiles, and a comprehensive resource listing of family-building and sustaining services. Watch our animated short video“We believe that every man—no matter who he is or who he loves—should know he can be a father if he choose,” says Andy Miller, co-founder of The Handsome Father and president of its Board of Directors. ”No man should have to sacrifice his dreams of fatherhood simply because he is gay.

About their name: “Did you know that the word ‘handsome’ by definition means pleasing, dignified, generous, appropriate, fitting, ample, graceful, bountiful, and yes, attractive? We believe fatherhood is handsome in every respect of the word. When someone commits his life to raise a child and takes the steps a gay man must to create his family, we call that ‘handsome.'”
