Saturday Night Live took full advantage of host Miley Cyrus‘ cultural footprint this week with a hilarious sendup of her aggressively surreal We Can’t Stop video, instead featuring Republicans like John Boehner and Michele Bachmann vamping dirtily to We Did Stop (The Government), an ode to the current federal government shutdown. The piece featured We Can’t Stop’s weird, scuzzy imagery, stuffed elephants in place of teddy bears, and a voyeuristic President Obama peeking through the curtains.
