One Million Moms: We Killed Save Me

“Dear Joe, Thank you for not taking the summer off! This summer has been a busy one, but our efforts have paid off. 1MM has been productive and has closely monitored several television programs this season that need to be taken off the air. Many sponsors have pulled their support – too many to list here – and as a result one program has been canceled already! NBC’s Save Me can’t be saved without any sponsors so it has been pulled off the air and will not be returning for a second season. I appreciate all your dedication to our mission. 1MM continues to stand up for traditional Christian values. Together, and with God’s help, we are taking a stand for our children and our voice is being heard.” – One Million Moms, via email.

FACT CHECK: Save Me was actually cancelled because it averaged an abysmal 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic. That pesky fact, of course, is missing from the above message.
