Religion Is A Virus

Almost literally.

The AFP Newswire is reporting that according to Symantec’s annual Internet Security Threat Report, those cruising the Internet are more likely to catch a computer virus when visiting sites dedicated to religious issues than are those that visit porn sites. Also notably, the newswire says that viruses users get from such sites are embedded there by hackers, not the web site owner or anyone affiliated with them. CNET adds that the popularity of pornography on the web has led to sites that have enough money to invest heavily in security measures to prevent or remove malware, thus making them safer for travelers to visit.
