Judge Orders Pro-Life NY Plate

A federal court has ordered New York to begin offering a pro-life vanity license plate.

The Children First Foundation filed a lawsuit in 2004 after the New York Department of Motor Vehicles rejected its application for a plate design with a crayon drawing of a yellow sun behind the faces of two smiling children. The state claimed a significant segment of the population would consider the design “patently offensive” because it included the words “Choose Life.” Alliance Defense Fund attorney Jeff Shafer tells OneNewsNow the court on Tuesday ruled that the state was guilty of viewpoint

The ruling is expected to be appealed.
