Family Research Council: HRC Is Bullying Law Firm Over NOM’s Cleta Mitchell

As I reported last week, NOM has hired infamous Tea Party lawyer Cleta Mitchell as the point person in their bid to evade Minnesota’s campaign finance law. This move has prompted the Human Rights Campaign to criticize Foley & Lardner LLP, the major DC-based law firm where Mitchell is a partner. Enter the Family Research Council:

Continuing their bullying campaign against anyone who believes marriage is between one man and one woman the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) is now going after law firm Foley & Lardner LLP for having the gall to have in their employ an attorney who represents and supports pro-family organizations. Cleta Mitchell, attorney extraordinaire, is one of those “must knows” if you are a conservative because of her straight forward attitude as well as her vast knowledge of the legal field, especially campaign law. Her latest affront according to the Human Rights Campaign? She recently registered as a lobbyist for the National Organization for Marriage in Minnesota, where a marriage constitutional amendment will be on the ballot in 2012. For this HRC thinks she should be unemployable.
