Eurovision – Germany’s Alex Swings Oscar Sings

Germany’s Eurovision entry is a Ricky Martin-ish big band/pop mashup featuring an orchestra led by German house DJ Alex Christensen. Vocals are by openly gay California-born Oscar Loya, a first generation Mexican-American who resides in Munich. Eurovision doesn’t care much about the contestants’ actual nationality. After all, Celine Dion won for Switzerland in 1988.

Wisconsin Supreme Court To Hear Challenge To Gay Marriage Ban

Yesterday Wisconsin’s Supreme Court added a challenge to that state’s ban on same-sex marriage to its calendar. The state Supreme Court on Thursday said it will hear a challenge to the 2006 constitutional amendment that prohibited same-sex marriage.
