Morning View – 79th Street Transverse

The 79th Street Transverse is one of the four east-west vehicular routes through Central Park. The roads are mostly submerged in order to reduce traffic noise in the park. This is the 79th Street entrance; the road exits the west side of the park at 81st Street because the American Museum of Natural History sits on the first two blocks of W. 79th.
