CHATTER AWAY: Overnight Open Thread

The wait may finally be over! While music legend Cher has certainly been busy lately promoting “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again,” it has been a minute since we have heard new music from the “Believe” singer. After teasing fans with a track list of her upcoming ABBA covers album, on Wednesday (August 8), she released a snippet of one of the tracks.

The diva posted a cryptic tweet featuring her vocals and a snippet of a cover of “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight),” the 1979 ABBA classic.

Music fans might also recognize the song from being sampled in the 2005 Madonna single “Hung Up.” Fans were quick to speculate that this may be the lead single from the covers album, and that the project is coming sooner than previously thought.
