FLORIDA: University Graduation Ceremony Canceled After Note Found Threatening Mass Shooting [VIDEO]

The Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel reports:

Florida Atlantic University canceled tonight’s graduation ceremony after a “credible threat” was found in a note stuck to a mirror in a women’s bathroom on campus. A staff member found the small sticky note at about 4:15 p.m. in the Business Building.

“It was a threat specific to our graduation tonight,” said Chief of FAU Police Sean Brammer. “It would hurt the investigation if I told you the specifics of the note. We took it seriously and canceled the ceremony.”

College President John Kelly said in a statement: “We immediately huddled and made the decision that we would cancel the graduation ceremony. I feel terrible for our students. I’m disappointed as well. One of my thrills of the year is graduation.”
