MANHATTAN: Judge Rules That Only 14 Out Of 639 Items Seized In Raid On Cohen’s Office Are Privileged

The New York Daily News reports:

Michael Cohen’s privileges are limited. The retired judge reviewing the trove of materials seized by the FBI from the law office and residences of President Trump’s personal attorney found less than 1% of the hundreds of thousands of items she’s reviewed so far are protected by attorney-client privilege.

The judge, Barbara Jones, is acting as a “special master” resolving claims of privilege by Cohen’s legal team. She wrote to Manhattan Federal Court Judge Kimba Wood on Monday that she has completed the review of eight boxes of documents consisting of 639 “items” that were 12,543 pages total. Out of all those items, only 14 were privileged, she wrote.
