60 Minutes To Air Stormy Interview Next Sunday

The Washington Post reports:

For a week, the world has waited: When would “60 Minutes” air its interview with porn star Stormy Daniels alleging an affair with President Trump? CBS has been silent. Now there is a planned date, March 25, according to two people familiar with the timing.

Daniels’s attorney, Michael Avenatti, heightened the suspense. After Daniels sat for an interview with news anchor Anderson Cooper, the lawyer tweeted a photo of the three of them, along with the Twitter handle @60Minutes — teasing a tell-all from the woman who has been silenced for more than a year by Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen.

CBS News officially offered little information about the “60 Minutes” interview. Network president David Rhodes has made no official statement. CBS declined to comment on whether it made any legal arrangement with Daniels. It also declined to say whether it has received any legal threats from Trump or his attorneys, leaving open the possibility that there is behind-the-scenes maneuvering.

  • Tulle Christensen

Wouldn’t the 25th be the Sunday after next?

    • Duh-David

      The 18th is “this” Sunday.
      25th is “next” Sunday.

      WaPo wasn’t going for clarity.

      • Tulle Christensen

I guess my math background took over where next is nearest, I see your point though

      • Paddycakes2001

I know that this use of “this” and “next” exists, but I can’t help but feel that it is incorrect. Next means immediately adjacent. The next Sunday we will experience is March 18th, not March 25th.

        • Nowhereman

I would call the 18th as Sunday next or this coming Sunday.

        • Duh-David

It’s an extension of “this week/next week,” but please don’t try to explain to which week Sunday belongs.

    • Salton

You’re right. A week from this Sunday would be more explicit.

      • stuckinthewoods

yup, I’d probably have said “Sunday week” but…y’know…

    • Jim Maloney

CBS Will Air Stormy Daniels Interview on March 25

That was the headline on another site.

  • SoCalGal20

And here’s Stormy’s lawyer on Morning Joe this morning acknowledging she received threats.

    • Jeffrey Robert

As noted above, he is so dreamy. I’ve been obsessed since this story broke. I want it to go on a long time so I can see more of him. OR, I want him to start doing porn.

  • gaycuckhubby

This is starting to go the direction to Bill Clinton. The president’s party will back him up and the president’s opponents will try to impeach.
What is the punishment for $130,000 worth of campaign finances gone awry? A fine?

    • Gustav2

Yes, it would be only a fine. But it hasn’t been established it was ‘campaign finances’ Cohen says it was his own money.

      • gaycuckhubby

Right. So worst case scenario for the president is his reputation takes a bit more of a hit than it already has and he has to pay a small fine. I’m sure they’re just trying to keep pictures and video from being released. Which also sounds like revenge porn

        • Gustav2

But it also opens the door to investigate ALL of the financial transactions Cohen has participated in for Trump & Co going back years.

          • Mike Solo

I think this would be the greater victory

          • Gustav2
          • jimbo65

Question; alot of gifs that I grab from the Internet are over the 5mb limit you can post on here. Do you know if there’s a way to compress it without downloading a program for android?

          • Gustav2

            No, sorry

          • jimbo65

            Ok thanks!

          • gaycuckhubby

            THAT I’m all for!

          • Gustav2

And also if there was more than just “rent” money going back and forth between the campaign and the company. These people have always been shifting money around various entities.

          • Discovery, baby, yeah! 😏

        • SkokieGuy- playing Helen card

And he gets to play the witch hunt victim card even harder.

I’m trying to make America great but those evil libruls can’t get over that lying Hillary lost the election.

          • gaycuckhubby

Yep, he can just look at all the old Clinton tapes and use his Playbook exactly. I think it will work a second time

      • Nowhereman

And yet he’s griping that he wasn’t reimbursed for it.

        • Gustav2

That may be a ‘plant’ to make everyone think he wasn’t.

  • Leo

Avenatti is HOT. So nice to look at. Sorry, needed to say that.

    • gaycuckhubby

      Zaddy!

    • Rex

Don’t apologize, I think he is as well. I also think Anderson is sexy, and I hear he’s single, so I’m available to go out with him or his ex.

      • gaycuckhubby

Well he broke up with his long-term boyfriend, but already has a new boyfriend

        • Todd20036

          Monogamy is overrated.

          • Karl Dubhe

You’ll change your mind, when you’re old and single. 🙂

          • Todd20036

I’m already old. I hit 50 in a month. Still waiting for the sympathy

          • GayOldLady

Baby you are not old! I have children older than you.

          • Gustav2
          • GayOldLady

I also got some fabulous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. I’m a lucky woman. 🙂

          • Salton

In fact you’re pretty young! I’m almost double your age; 93 years old to be precise.

          • Todd20036

Nice! The stories you could tell…

          • jimbo65

            I salute you!

          • yes b’y

Todd, Todd, Todd, I’ve got hats older than you.

          • Hank

Come down to FTL and I will show you some REAL “sympathy” for the weekend!!!

          • John

Honey….50 is NOT old! Get over that thought right now.

          • gaycuckhubby

Meh. It’s important to me personally. Which I know is completely weird, all things considered

          • Devon Rodriguez

yes to some monogamy is overrated but others desire it and achieve it….

          • Todd20036

Its’ when they claim to desire it, then get some on the side, that amuses me…

          • Devon Rodriguez

Oh yes, be who you are and not what the great society deems credible…

HOWEVER if you enter the relationship with the idea and desire of monogamy and then change mid stream…don’t be an asshole tell your partner that you have changed your mind…as so they can make an informed decision

        • Rex

Damn, he told me he wouldn’t tell.

      • Devon Rodriguez

Anderson and Bennie are both available for a little side action…but when have they not been available…

      • Devon Rodriguez
    • Hank

I agree, he strikes me as a HOT Alpha Male. I would even even give dating a lawyer again a chance!!! (I lived in DC and tried dating Gay Lawyers there. The egos where too much for me.)

  • Devon Rodriguez

Keep in mind that it does not matter to many GOP voters if he slept with his own daughter at the age of 9…

These people vote with a low bar of integrity but the key take away is that they VOTE…

They are not hampered by morality or judgment…

They VOTE because they HATE anything that looks, sounds or slants toward Democrat/Libera/Progressive or Intelligent…

  • Butch

Whatever its importance I actually doubt that the “world” is waiting.

    • Todd20036

It’s not the interview per-se, it’s more like shoving the evangelical’s hypocrisy out for everyone to see. Again

      • Butch

They seem to wear the hypocrisy as a badge of honor any more.

      • gaycuckhubby

I think hypocrisy goes both ways on this one

        • Todd20036

          How so?

          • gaycuckhubby

People who defend Bill Clinton are attacking Trump. People who are attacking Clinton are defending Trump.

          • violamateo

Clinton may have cheated on his wife, but he’s also stayed with her–thick and thin–all these many years. When Trump has cheated, it’s always been to trade in the current wife for a newer, flashier model. In other words, he dumps them. Plus, I don’t recall ever hearing about a massive payoff to Jennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, or Monica Lewinsky on the part of Clinton or his lawyers, the way Trump did with Stormy.

          • gaycuckhubby

Trump stayed with Melania for 12 years now after having an affair with Stormy Daniels.

          • pansarkraft

But it’s not about the sex, it’s about the criminal coverup

          • gaycuckhubby

Right. Just like Bill Clinton’s wasn’tabout the affair but about the obstruction of justice and perjury

          • pansarkraft

Depends on what your definition of is is 😉

          • violamateo

You seem to be forgetting about Ivana and Marla….

    • Edmund Allin

      I am . 🙂

  • Bambino

Not quite the Al Capone’s vaults but it will have little or no political impact but ratings for CBS.

  • gaycuckhubby

I like Stormy… she’s funny and smart. But I’m starting to climb off this scandals bandwagon.
I think it would be a legitimate scandal except it’s feeling like a double standard after the 90s

    • SoCalGal20

He probably used campaign money to pay her off and she was apparently threatened with physical harm so, no, not just a rehash of Clinton.

      • gaycuckhubby

I think it’s hard to prove that he personally threatened her, or ordered it. The campaign money will just be a small fine. And this was over a decade ago when he wasn’t in public office, and not with someone on his payroll. And as of yet he has lied about it for the grand jury. I think it’s actually less of a problem than Clinton

        • SoCalGal20

She got paid off a few weeks before the 2016 election.

And her lawyer says he’s been approached by six other women with similar claims, two of which have NDAs that he’s investigating. So we’ll see.

          • gaycuckhubby

Agreed. We’ll see where the investigation leads. But the parallels or lack thereof are pretty striking to me and people’s reactions are exactly what one would expect

          • pansarkraft

I have become really interested in this.

Apparently it is not a legit reason to start an LLC in Delaware for the purpose of covering up a crime. Not disclosing a 130 000 payment that benefitted T’s campaign (campaign finance law) and adultery is a crime in NY (who knew?). Paying hush money is not a legitimate reason to form an LLC.

If lawyer did it all himself he could loose his license as well.

Clinton never paid hush money, which is why Lewinsky was able to tell her story freely.

          • Scout

The hyprocrisy of Trump, where he brought in 3 women with accusations against Clinton’s husband for a front row seat to a debate with her, as an intimidation tactic, makes all this necessary and justified, because he can’t have it both ways.

        • April

Most likely it was Trump’s bully of an attorney.

      • cleos_mom

I’m genuinely surprised that no one has used the word “distraction” yet. Trump takes a dump, it’s a distraction. Starts a nuclear war, it’s a distraction. Gets an ingrown toenail, it’s a distraction.

      • Paddycakes2001

The settlement/confidentiality agreement says that she has a tort claim for injury *to her person.* I want to know what the hell that is all about.

    • blackstar

It could help take down *tRump. 100% for it.

      • gaycuckhubby

no offense, but I think that’s a problem in our politics

  • SoCalGal20
    • Skeptical_Inquirer

Even if his base give Donald Trump more mulligans, they just opened themselves up to being considered randy adulterers and the fundy women should be told “If you OK this shit, don’t expect to be surprised to end up with the clap or worse from YOUR men who thought you were just fine with this.”

  • ccc

It is an avalanche-earthquake-tsunami-hurricane combined shitstorm package of winning.

  • evanedwards

Stormy Daniels physically threatened by Trump representative, her lawyer says.

    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/stormy-daniels-was-threatened-by-someone-representing-trump-her-lawyer-says/

    • Reality.Bites

      Another illustration of their stupidity.

The woman has seen and had sex with a naked Donald Trump. Clearly her ability to withstand pain is at a nearly superhuman level.

  • April

I’m sure CBS has a check for $1,000,000 ready to hand over to Trump’s lawyers. Cover the penalty when Stormy spills the beans.

    • gaycuckhubby

I seriously wonder what she could have to say that is worth a million dollars

      • pansarkraft

A clause in her NDA that says each and every mention costs her one million

        • Nowhereman

These NDAs should be null and void. I wonder what they threatened the women with to make them sign. And how sad that such a manly-man like Donnie Two Scoops has to make sure that any women who have sex with him (Yech! and EEEWWWW!) sign a legal document not to talk about it. Maybe he should have kept it in his pants and saved it for his wives.

    • The_Wretched

More likely they think the liquidated damages clause is unenforceable or the contract is void.

    • Reality.Bites

Pretty sure CBS News would have a policy against paying for interviews.

  • ceeenbee

As I was watching Avenatti this morning, I had only one thought —I would not want to fuck with that guy.

  • Salton

You’re right. A week from this Sunday would be more explicit.

  • April

Next time when one of my holier than thou representatives has a town meeting I’m going to ask how such a good Christian can be in the same room with our unrepentant super sinner of a President. Supposedly they are to avoid such evil at all costs.
