Story developing. The Detroit Free Press reports:
Police are responding to reports of shots fired at Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant this morning. According to 9&10 News, a text was sent to students alerting them of reports of shots fired near the 4th floor of Campbell Hall, a co-ed dorm. The college’s school of humanities and behaviorial sciences also tweeted that the university was alerted of the shooting by an emergency alert.
URGENT INFORMATION: There has been a report of a shooting on the campus of Central Michigan University. MPPD is assisting @cmupd with the situation. The shooter has not yet been apprehended. Please remain aware of your surroundings and call 911 to report suspicious activity
