Trump Quotes State TV In Lying Tweetstorm

The Wrap reports:

President Donald Trump was watching “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday, tweeting out his gratitude to the Fox News morning show over a segment focusing on President Obama’s handling of the Russia threat. Trump added an attack on Obama, pulled word for word from the “Fox & Friends” line up. The tweets came after show co-hosts Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt and Brian Kilmeade all but addressed Trump directly on Tuesday with an extended case arguing that President Obama had not been tough enough about confronting the Russia threat while he was in office.

    State propaganda.

    • Friday

      More like ‘party propaganda.’

  • TexasBoy

Donald, “President’s Day” is to honor all of our past Presidents. It wasn’t a holiday designed just for you.

  • greenmanTN
  • Hunter M

See he told the truth. It’s totally fake news that he was tougher than Obama.

  • j.martindale
  • Rex

Nice that he’s been able to free up some time to watch TV.

    • FAEN

He needs a break from all that presidenting.

      • Nowhereman

I say we give him one. A nice LONG one.

    • Nowhereman

(Shhh! we’re supposed to call it “executive time.”)

    • Princess Lardass

One can only golf so much.

  • Bambino
    • Nowhereman

      “Fake president!!”

  • Rex

Just watch the crazy amp up as Mueller gets closer.

  • shellback

Indictments. I need to see more indictments.

  • Rex

He seems to forget that not all Americans watch Fox News and not all Americans are as stupid as he seems to think we are.

    • FAEN

Too many morons still watch it and believe it. Meh! I don’t get it.

      • Nowhereman

It’s like religious fantasies. They really really want it to be true.

        • fuow

Thanks to their commitment to voting, they’re also working hard to make their religious fantasies come true in the country.

    • Galvestonian

Yeah, but quite a few of them are – You’ve got to remember that these are just simple people. These are people of the land. The common clay of the country. You know… morons.

      • Nic Peterson

        AKA, the willfully ignorant.

    • fuow

Unfortunately, he has much reason to believe so. Were the election to be held today, he’d still win – that’s how rethugs think.

    • normadesmond

You can’t forget what you never knew.

    • Home Island

Most Americans are incredibly stupid – including liberals. Liberals really believe that Russians and Jill Stein cost Hillary the election.

  • Anastasia Beaverhousen

I have a hard time make a comment or two every day on here. This dimwit is president and can rant on twitter forever. I guess I have no time management skills.

    • Hunter M

When you get to be president, you’ll learn that it’s easy. All you have to do all day is play golf and twitter. It’s not like you have to govern or anything important.

    • fuow

Thank you for your comments – they’re the splash of Vermouth in an otherwise dull cocktail. I get so sick of the happy-slappy, play-nice, mindful idiot comments from people who live in Ivory towers. Without your sharp wit, I’d die of sugar poisoning.

    • Nowhereman

Made me chuckle. Perhaps some more executive time would help. Do you own any golf courses?

      • Anastasia Beaverhousen

Oh, honey, my motto is, “If hell exists, I will be playing golf and bowling with republicans, and after we will go for Chinese and barbecue for eternity.”

  • AdamTh

I really wish we had a respectable president again……….

At this point, I’d even take Nixon..

    • Keroleen

I’m old enough that I firmly remember Watergate. Until the last couple years or so, I never thought that Nixon’s image would be rehabilitated to the point it is during my lifetime, but here we are. I guess it’s true – Trump’s incompetence can make just about anyone look good.

More incoherent lies Drumph regurgitated from Faux News propaganda while actually refusing to defend the country.

Funny, it seems it wasn’t too long ago that Fox and Congressional Republicans were screaming that Obama shouldn’t even investigate this, while claiming that what *was* done was partisan politics while using Putin’s and Assange’s hacked BS to make something of the Hillary nothingburger while *actually* leaving the non-private servers vulnerable to hacking in their benefit.

    • Strepsi

oh jesus christ i forgot about that word “nothingburger” that somehow EVERY GOP spokesprick used on the same day.

  • Leo

OT. A relative just sent me a long-winded, depressing rant by text over how she finally decided to cut off a Trump voter and former friend from her life completely which I suggested (oh I don’t know) 20 times she do last year. At some point you run out of small talk and its emotionally draining.

    • kladinvt

I get it. How do you have a ‘conversation’ with a cultist?

      • FAEN

You really can’t. It’s anazing how they deflect, refuse to believe facts and pretzel themselves into different ‘beliefs’.

    • Bryan

My unrepentant Trumpy aunt just lost 3 or more long term friends over some commment she made. Mom keeps her for familial reasons, I blocked her ages ago and I’m not regretting one second of it.

    • Nowhereman

I broke off relations with two now former friends who went Trump. It was sad but it was too painful to listen to them anymore. I had known them for years and had no idea that they were racists. It really shocked me that they would think that I agreed with them. They might not even know why I stopped visiting with them, and I don’t really care. Trump has really emboldened closet racists to come out into the open.

    • Gerry Fisher

I think that an important part of life is to decide which people/things are not worth your time. Including spending time with someone whose values go wildly against your own. You can find more than enough people who share your values–or, at the very least, whose values aren’t super offensive–to share small talk with. I have some relatives who voted for Trump but who aren’t die hard supporters; they’re more like, “We often vote Republican. Smaller government and fiscal responsibility are GOOD!” types. Naive. I can hang with them. I have another relative whom I discovered was a Breitbart reader (or equivalent); no more contact.

As for state taxes, Doinnie, you’re the one trying to push off your unfunded mandates for your pet projects plus your tax cuts for the ultra rich and cuts to everything that benefits regular folks off on the states, while of course you’ve removed the Federal tax deductions *for* the state taxes you are trying to force states to increase even as you try to rip off those from Blue states that already have state-supported public interest programs.

    • Nowhereman

They are trying to take even more money from the successful blue states and move it to the red welfare state who won’t lift a finger to help themselves. Isn’t that also known as wealth redistribution? I thought conservatives hated that.

  • Joe in PA

I suggest that Trump get his PDB from Fox and Friends. Just saying.

    • Rambie

You state that like it’s not already fact.

    • Nowhereman

He already does. He also live-tweets Hannity and hangs on Sean’s every word.

  • fuow

I live in the most Republican state in the Union – Wyoming. The sheer number of people here who believe this nonsense is staggering. They also turn out and vote in mid-term elections.

    • Rambie

Oh dear, Wyoming? I don’t think there is any purple areas in that state.

      • fuow

A few cities are held by the Democrats, the rest, yikes.
We have an exceptionally strong Republican/christer base here (lots of splinter-group ultra-far right momos) and the Democrats tend to be older and spread quite thin on the ground. Young people are awful at voting here. Even worse than most places. As I am so frequently told: It doesn’t matter, they’ll win, anyway.

        • Rambie

I’m a Utah boy so trust me, I know the crazy Momos and “christer” types. At least SLC was a bright blue dot in a field of red.

          • fuow

Oh, yeah – the momo mothership. We went through a stretch here in Cheyenne a few years back when the momos who ran several city departments were using new city rules on ‘zero-tolerance of discriminatory practices’ to get Democrats fired from their jobs.
I know the happy-slappy ‘mindful’ folks around here live in liberal strongholds. They couldn’t be so foolishly naive, else.

          • Rambie

I’m sure us red state liberals have seen things they haven’t. But we’re all on the same side.

  • FAEN

Thin skinned whiny little bitch is yammering on about facts? Really? He wouldn’t know a fact if it bit him on his fat ass.

  • Ragnar Lothbrok

    • Bryan

I couldn’t read it without my eyes glazing over and my mind dissociating

  • Ragnar Lothbrok

At this point, the most obnoxious snotty teenage boy or girl you ever met would be a 1000X better than this loser as president.
If nothing else, their hands would be bigger!

    • FAEN

      So would their brains.

      • ZRAinSWVA

I don’t know about that. My impression is that critical thinking skills are becoming a rarity in this country.

  • Jean-Marc in Canada
    • Nowhereman

And who STILL refuses to impose sanctions against Russia that were voted for almost unanimously by THIS Senate. I’d say he is “soft” on Russia.

      • Jean-Marc in Canada

“he is “soft”, that’s what Melania keeps saying.

  • Nowhereman

Oh for pity fucker’s sake! Putin’s ass is raw from Trump licking it.

  • Bryan

Two or three tweet storms in three days he is really coming unhinged

  • Movie pitch: America elects a moron to be president and he’s so clueless he lets the hosts of a morning “news” show tell him how to shape policy and serve as his top advisers.

It sounds like a comedy, but it’s really a tragedy in disguise.

  • Ragnar Lothbrok

LOL he polled his guests at Mara Gago ?

    • Strepsi

Cher fort the win, almost always!

    • SoCalGal20

Yep. At the Studio 54-themed party he went to after visiting the hospital.

  • Halou

We are now starting to win again?

If by “we” he means himself and his Russian masters, sure. Americans? No.

  • Karl Dubhe

Didn’t Donald Trump suggest that the election of the USA was rigged? Before the votes were counted, of course.

I sure as hell seem to recall him saying something like that.

    • Keroleen

I distinctly remember him lawyering up in preparation for challenging a Hillary win early in the day when the projections still looked good for her.

    • Gianni

It was a large campaign theme of his.

  • Rick Zajac

    Total Fake President!

  • JWC

America your Trump is growing tedious A year of a 7 year old’s tantrums, out breaks and pouts ware thin

  • Home Island

The two parties have just reversed their positions based on what is politically expedient. Russia really isn’t anymore of a threat than any other country and this is all ridiculous.

  • He probably hits the “mic” button while F&Fs is on and uses ‘speech to text’ to tweet.

  • Gianni

Even if one takes Dear Leader’s blaming Obama for lack of action against Russia as true, how in hell does that excuse you, Dear Leader, from continuing to do absolutely nothing. You’re doing the exact same thing you are accusing Obama of doing. You’re better than Obama aren’t you? You’re tougher, stronger, more determined to do what’s right for the America we all love, right? MAGA!

  • Jim Maloney

There’s an old saying: “Those who tweet-shot incessantly to make their case(s) on Twitter are usually wrong.” – Wise Old Man
