Ken Cuccinelli To Ana Navarro During DACA Debate: I’m Sick Of Hearing Your Shrill Voice In My Ears [VIDEO]

The Hill reports:

Former Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli (R) told Republican strategist Ana Navarro that he was tired of hearing her “shrill voice” during a contentious panel segment regarding immigration policy on “CNN Tonight” late Tuesday.

“We’ve defamed General Kelly here in this segment. He started off by saying ‘Maybe some people might have been afraid to sign up for DACA. Other people might have been lazy.’ And both of those are true,” said Cuccinelli, referring to White House chief of staff John Kelly and the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. “Who cares? I care that people are breaking the law,” Cuccinelli replied.

“Let me explain to you who cares. Can I answer your damn question about who cares? The people who care are the immigrants who are sick and tired of having this White House attack us and bash us on a daily basis,” Navarro interjected. “I’m sick of hearing your shrill voice in my ears,” Cuccinelli said before motioning with a mocking hand gesture used when someone is rambling.

Here in Virginia ol’ Ken wanted to criminalize gays and women. He really hates a lot of people

    • Ragnar Lothbrok

      I hate his face.

      • ted-

All GOPers should just take a long walk off a short pier with cinder blocks tied to their feet.

    • another_steve

You Virginians really dodged a bullet. That monster could have become your governor in 2013.

      • Ninja0980

The shutdown is why he didn’t become governor, simple as that.

    • kirby7771

      The feeling is mutual.

    • Steverino

Funny how right-wingers hate approximately 2/3 of the people in the country, and have the audacity to pose themselves as being the “true patriots.”

  • kaydenpat

So glad Virginia didn’t elect his bigoted behind as Governor.

  • Kelly Lape

America – be exactly as “us” or else.

  • netxtown

    speaking of shrills…..

  • Proud MOFO Beaner (bkb)

I think we need a viable second party in this country. But the current GOP is essentially white supremacist kleptocratic organization and untenable for the long-term viability of our democracy. Sone republicans like Ana understand this and I respect them for speaking out. Get ‘em, girl

    • another_steve

Given the changing age and racial/ethnic demographics in the U.S., if the Republican Party is to remain a viable party in the future, the few remaining sane Republicans will have to declare the current party dead and rebuild it from the bottom up.

Trump is in the process of destroying the Republican brand.

      • Todd20036

That started with Nixon. Trump merely exposed the rot for all to see

      • Butch

On the other hand, I’ve been reading about the GOP’s “demographic winter” since probably the 1970s. We can’t pin our hopes on changing demographics, because it won’t happen soon enough.

        • another_steve

          But happen, it will. Eventually.

Given that only certifiably insane people of color vote Republican these days, this should be of concern to the Republican Party:

          ——————–

By 2044, the majority of the U.S. population will be people of color. According to analysis of Bureau of the Census projections, by 2044, the United States will have no clear racial or ethnic majority.

According to new population projections, whites will
make up 49.7 percent of the population, followed by Latinos at 25 percent, African Americans at 12.7 percent,
and Asians at 7.9 percent. 3.7 percent of the population
          will identify as multiracial.

But this is exactly why the GOP is so insane. They are backed into a corner and are lashing out more and more desperately.

    • prixator

Not just white supremacist and kleptocratic but, also plutocratic. The white men with the most money make the rules.

How could any sensible woman vote Republican?

    • Todd20036

Religion. Being submissive to men. Blah blah blah

    • Joe in PA

It’s all about the 9 month babies being RIPPED out of their mother’s wombs. Yes, trump said that.

      • Smithbc

This. This is the sole reason so many women in my family voted for the orange turd. Because “Hilary is for killing babies”

        • Bill Castellani

          Here is your response:
1.) When Abortion is outlawed, the number of abortions does not go down. But more women are injured and die.
2.) When Republicans are in office the number of abortions rises because Republicans do not favor sex education and do not encourage free easy access to contraception.
3.If you oppose access to contraception, you are not opposed to abortion, you are opposed to people having sex.
4.) The number of abortions and teen pregnancies is at a low now due to the Obama policies.

    • Lars Littlefield

Navarro didn’t the last election. It’s like that old joke about a man talking with a little boy playing with a box of puppies.

Man: What kind of puppies are the?” he asks.
Little boy: “They’re Republican puppies,” answered the littlt boy.
A week goes by and the man runs onto the littl boy and the same box of puppies.
Man: “Why, hello again. How are your Republican puppies?” he asked.
Little boy: “Oh, they’re not Republican anymore. Their eyes finally opened.”

  • Ragnar Lothbrok

” It’s not helpful, but I do it anyway ha ha ”

    Fuck off forever.

    • ClevelandJim

Yeah, what was THAT? What a sorryass moron.

  • DesertSun59

So, here’s how it’s actually playing out in reality.

The WH sends a dog whistle to their cult supporters – the ones ruled by their primitive reptilian brain that signals fear – that MS-13 is in their basement with a machete, ready to kill homeowners in their sleep for no apparent reason.

Meanwhile, the admin is going after children and established scientists and deporting them to places they’ve never been.

The reality is that this admin REFUSES to actually go after gangs. They prefer going after low-hanging fruit. This is so because they can’t and will NOT organize, mount or fund things that matter.

    • AJayne

As they always have, (R)s want to keep their “enemies” front and center – if they ever got rid of gangs, or resolved immigration, or overturned Roe v Wade (or Obergefell), those “enemies” would be gone. Consider all of them safe until they come up with another set to replace them.

    • Ninja0980

      It’s not just that.
It’s about sending a message to all immigrants that no matter how successful you are, we are going to come after you.
They are trying to drive all immigrants out via fear.

  • Acronym Jim
    • Lars Littlefield

It took me a moment, but yes. Cuccinelli does suffer from three personality disorders: Antisocial Personality Disorder, Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and Borderline Personality Disorder.

  • AJayne

When you have no valid argument, attack the messenger…

  • Rebecca Gardner

I’ve fucking had it with these misogynistic motherfuckers.

  • IAMBOWLINGGREEN
    • RemusL

Completely unrealistic. This cartoon depicts manual labor by Herr Twitler.

  • Chris Gardner

I really enjoy seeing Ana get worked up and speaking truth to power as it relates to Trump BUT she is a longtime Republican. It’s not like these people just showed up one day. She was fine with them all of these years until suddenly, the racism became more blatant.

    • Joe in PA

Exactly. Same thing with Linda Chavez. This editorial was in our local paper yesterday. Wasn’t that long ago and she was a big time shill for the Rethugs. I thought, THIS is Linda?

      https://www.creators.com/read/linda-chavez

    • ClevelandJim

One thing I really love about Ana (despite the GOP thing), is that when she gets angry and is ranting, her thoughts, and her ability to express them, are always very clear and concise. She may go a bit overboard sometimes, but there’s never any word salad with her.

      • prixator

I admire that ability in others. When I get very emotional about something, my brain just stops working properly and I get flustered.

It’s always later, when I’m replaying it in my mind, that I think of all the things i should have said and how I should have said them.

    • Ninja0980

      I feel the same way.
They were fine with the dog whistles but someone ditches them and then they get mad?

    • Exactly. I enjoy her rants, but it’s not like this wasn’t the party it’s been for the past 40 years. Okay W actually made some overtures to Hispanic voters, but even that was a long time ago.

    • Paul

There was actually a time when the Latino vote was up for grabs.

  • Paula

Cuccinelli, Cuccinelli. I got nothing. Is he important or something?

    • E.J.

Isn’t that an Italian food with squid?

  • Boreal

Another wimmen hater. He expects wimmen to keep their mouths shut and cook his dinner.

    • prixator

Or, at least, make him a sammich!

  • Lars Littlefield

Cuccinelli needs to watch his back. Navarro will happily knife him.

    • TrollopeReader

she’s brave enough to do so from the front.

  • TrollopeReader

Hey Cooch …. a +20 (or more) Trump district in MO just elected a D state rep by +3 ….

  • Joe in PA

But what a stupid segment, after 30 seconds of the two of them talking at the same time…30 SECONDS…Don says meekly “one at a time please”.

    Pathetic “news” channel. 🙁

  • olandp

I’m sick and tired of hearing your lies Kenny boy.

  • Butch

Can we keep in mind that a DACA application costs $500? Sorry, rich boy, but that’s a lot of money to some of us.
Edited to add: Boy, does Lemon do a poor job on this segment.

    • Lumpy Gaga

Plenty of people who consider themselves middle class can’t come up with a spare $500 or $700. Pretty much guarantees that the only applicants able to make the nut will be the alleged gang members/drug dealers.

  • ClevelandJim

Ugh, The Cooch is still around?

    • djcoastermark

And it seems to have a nasty, smelly yeast infection too.

      • ClevelandJim

        It’s congenital in that case.

  • Taylor

Just out of curiosity, why was he even on this panel? Didn’t the voters make him irrelevant a few years ago?

  • Stogiebear

Did MS-13 even exist before Dump started running for office?

    • Droz

      Sadly, yes.

  • RaygunsGoZap

Defends racist calling Latinx lazy by calling a woman shrill…..

  • itsjoe618

Thank goodness he lost to Terry McAuliffe.

  • Charlie 2001

The correct response to this might be “Then why don’t you leave, A-Hole?” And something about Cuccinelli bleeding from his whatever.

  • Barry William Teske

‘Who cares? I care that ‘other’ people are breaking the law,’ Cuccinelli replied.

    There fixed it!

  • Gregory In Seattle

In short: “Shush. Men are talking.”

  • Halou

Wow, so dignified and intellectual. /s

  • CB

These panels are the death of TV. When people start shouting and talking over each other, I just tune out. It’s supposed to be “spirited,” but it’s just a bunch of ignorant hacks bloviation. These TV anchors need something like they have in radio–a button that allows them to turn off the mics of anyone not talking.

    • ted-

Just like the Atheist Experience, when the caller fails to comply with the “rules,” they (typically Matt Dillahunty) mutes your sorry ass.

    • ZRAinSWVA

Agreed. I cannot stand the new panel “forums”. No decorum, respect or civility, just people screaming at each other ’cause they have to make their most important point.

  • Nowhereman

    “Shrill”–code for “Shut up, woman!”

  • Hank

Cuccinelli has ALWAYS been a Royal Asshole!!!

  • whollyfool

    Yet she persisted shrilly.

  • Pip

I’ve always wondered why news shows don’t have a mute button when they have these panels.

  • Bill Castellani

    He is gay.

    • GanymedeRenard

      According to…?

  • Jean-Marc in Canada

The Latino woman is persisting and the angry straight white Christian man can’t handle it.

  • Professor Barnhardt

Gawd, I’m glad he lost the election. I made it 37 seconds into that video before I had had enough.

  • #DJTK5F

Ol’ Cooch really can’t stand when a strong Latina woman won’t be told what to do.

Who’s gonna tell him he can’t just deport her?

  • fuzzybits

    What an asshole.

  • Gianni

Just heard from the Mooch the other day and now we’re hearing from the Cooch.

  • JellicleCat60

    Go, Ana!!!

  • William Tigano

That assface is Italian. They called us WOPs for a reason. That stood for “without papers.” Italian gangs caused a lot of trouble too if my memory serves me well. His steerage class grandparents most likely came here illegally. Dumb fuck.
