Trump Parrots Hannity In Attack On FBI

Reuters reports:

U.S. President Donald Trump accused the FBI and the Justice Department of politicizing its investigations on Friday, just as the White House is expected to approve the release of a secret Republican memo alleging FBI bias against him in its Russia probe.

The comment echoes Sean Hannity’s own word choice late Thursday night. While calling for the release of the memo, Hannity repeatedly criticized the FBI and DOJ, but added: “not rank and file, we love you guys.”

How about that? President Putin has delegated puppeteer duties to Sean Hannity.

    • Especially if this comes to pass:

Many legal scholars doubt a U.S. vs. Trump case is possible, but two
attorneys who have dealt with special counsel Robert Mueller’s team
disagree. One expects Mueller to move as early as this spring.

      • GayOldLady

Mueller’s going to nail Trump with so many charges that it will be impossible not to impeach him. And if the GOP refuses, the Dems will impeach him when we win back the House. We’ll have to wait and see what the composition of the Senate is, but if they’re smart they’ll remove him from office IF he doesn’t resign first. Trump is finished.

        • Amanda B. Rekendwith

          Trump is finished.
          I SO want to believe.
But he is slippery and greasy and hangs in waaaaaaaaay beyond his best-before date.
          I hope you are right.

      • Gerry Fisher

When Mueller was appointed, I read a comment from someone very familiar with this level of legal investigation, and his estimate was 12 to 18 months. That would put us out into late spring and throughout the summer and early fall. The indictments last fall were early.

    • The_Wretched

Kelly doesn’t seem to understand the republicans. It’s all faked. They cannot say what their actual agenda is* and the rest is lies to cover it up.

*government of, by and for the ultra-elite as determined by wealth.

  • Blake Jordan

    I don’t understand this memo bullshit…

If it was the FBI (or other intelligence agencies) that write memo in which they admitted to being biased against Donnie, that would be a big deal!!!

But this is a memo written by republicans, about their own opinions about the trump-russia investigation, so who the fuck cares / why is it being treated as a big deal!?!?!?

What have I missed about this memo!?!?

    • netxtown

rumor has it that the memo starts out with:
      dear abbey…

      • kareemachan

Dear Abbey, dear Abbey, you won’t believe this…..

    • canoebum

The Trumpeteers will make a lot of noise, cover the Twitterverse with more lies and outrage and demand that their Dear Leader remove the offending parties, Rosenstein and Mueller. The Orange Menace will use it as a pretext to start firing people, claiming it was “the will of the people” and he is doing the right thing to restore good government.

      • McSwagg

Nixon tried that with his “Saturday Night Massacre” where he was trying to get rid of his nemesis, Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox. dRUMPf’s attempt will blow up in his face just like Nixon’s attempt did.

        • Piet

Nixon had at least one principled guy who refused to go along and made sure the public knew it; who in dRumpf’s circle is both principled and willing to try to stop the march toward fascism?

          • McSwagg

McGahn kept him from firing Mueller, but I don’t put any hopes in the man.

It’s a big deal, not because of what it is, but because of what it does: release classified information.

      • Gerry Fisher

If we can survive this, we need to give a handful of comedians awards. They’ve been fierce.

    • MonochromeMouse

Nothing, that’s exactly what it is. The republicans want the notes Nunez took released because the idiots who regularly vote republican without questioning will see it and dismiss the investigation as “Faik Nues”.

    • greenmanTN

It’s being promoted as secret info denied, thus people want to see it.

Here’s an analogy. Roddy McDowell supposedly knew ALL the gays in “golden age” Hollywood, But stipulated in his will that his diaries holding all that info not be released until decades after his death. I want to see it NOW!

      • cleos_mom

It’s being promoted as secret info denied, thus people want to see it.

In mythology, literature and drama (the province of peepull with buk smartz), that’s known as “the One Forbidden Thing.”

    • The_Wretched

You missed that the author was supposedly recused from trumprussia for prior idiotic attempts to shield the WH from trumprussia.

  • Gustav2
    • Proud MOFO Beaner (bkb)

Doesn’t only one of these instances involve classified info?

      • Gustav2

No, the Nunes memo has classified practices on how info was collected according to Wray. If the Russians connect the dots, also persons who have helped.

        • Proud MOFO Beaner (bkb)

          That’s what I meant — HRC’s enails didn’t

Pathetic, desperate Old Man is about to be indicted for “Obstruction of Justice” and a “Collaborating with and taking money from a hostile Foreign Power” to affect the outcome of an election and in exchange for reducing or eliminating sanctions against the Government of Russia. And that doesn’t even include the RICO charges of Money Laundering. When America sees the charges, you’ll be screwed, blued and tattooed Old Man.

    • Gerry Fisher

I’ve got my fingers crossed for the money laundering charges.

  • DaveMiller135

I can’t raise even a flicker of belief for anything Trump says. Or Tweets, I’m equal opportunity.

  • Raising_Rlyeh

Because it was never politicized, for decades against liberals, under J edna Hoover.

  • Bubba in TX

Some say “in favor of Democrats and against Republicans”, others say “in favor of the rule of law and our nation and against a President suspected of high crimes and misdemeanors”.

Of COURSE Muller, the FBI and the DoJ look biased against Republicans. They are on the trail of the President, as well as his staff, who happen to be (mostly) Republicans.

    • Friday

SO are most of the investigative leads and appointees, of course.

  • Halou

The investigation is ‘politicized’ because politicians are committing crimes. That is not the fault of investigators.

  • cleos_mom

When I got to the “sacred investigative process” part, I laughed — a one-syllable HA! Don’t judge me.

    • Gianni

Trump using the word ‘sacred’ gave me a chuckle, too. Never mind the sacred trust we expect our President to uphold. His blowhole should be burning from his speaking that word.
