Trump: I Love Orrin Hatch Because He Said I’m The Greatest President Ever (Hatch Spox Denies) [VIDEO]

“Orrin — I love listening to him speak. He said once that I am the single greatest president in his lifetime — now he’s a young man, so it’s not that much. And he actually once said I’m the greatest president in the history of our country, and I said, ‘Does that include Lincoln and Washington?’ And he said, ‘Yes.’ I said, ‘I love this guy.’ I love him. He’s a special guy.” – Trump, speaking today at the GOP retreat in West Virginia.

Raise your hand if you’re embarrassed that this freak is President of the United States.

  • jeffg166

    I love Orrin Hatch’s sarcasm.

    • Lantor

I remember Hatch saying that. I wondered what he was buttering him up to be.

I don’t consider things like this as news.

      • Lars Littlefield

        Sounds like personal problem.

        • Nathaniel

This would be news if it happened in Europe.

      • Treant

I’m starting to get to that point. News agencies barely report them. Congress doesn’t give a shit. There’s absolutely no power I have that will change anything further as I already vote in every election.

        • Christopher

They’re happening so frequently I can’t even keep up with all of them.

      Tar and feathers ready ?

    • Treant

That’s…actually OK. News sources can’t then quote the memo without disclosing classified information, which is illegal. Whereas rebuttals from House and Senate Dems, plus the FBI, need merely not quote the memo.

Plus the news spread of reading a memo on the floor? Limited. Not many people will ever hear it.

      • US news sources that is. What about news sources in other nations like The Guardian? There are many that would be glad to oblige. You cannot censor these days.

        • Treant

Still fine. We read The Guardian. Deplorables can’t understand the Queen’s English and the thing is completely and utterly disparaged already as a Liberal Source.

          • Agreed on both your counts about The Guardian actually 🙂 When I lived in the UK I liked The Times because of The Court Circular. I loved reading where Princess Anne was every day.

          • Treant

Now imagine if Bratfart actually told their people to go read Al Jazeera…

          • If you ever want to upset people there, just keep on leaving comments BREITBART WAS A JEW!. It is incredible how much that upsets them. Capitalize it. I got banned. Especially racist articles supporting the alt-right.

          • Dale Snyder

            A credible source of news.

            It’ll never happen.

A nation that can’t summon enough courage to excise an OBVIOUS cancer is PATHETIC.

A democracy that bows down to the illegitimate authority of OBVIOUS gangsters has already died.

The media KNOW what’s going on, and covering it up–not calling it what it so OBVIOUSLY is–is not “impartiality”–no, it is COMPLICITY with a crime, with the wanton MURDER of this republic.

        Hello, sweetheart! XO

I’m starting to break down–this vile farce–the failure of any institution to stand up to these hateful, smirking THUGS–is destroying me.

No one is going to stop them–they’re DEFILING this democracy!

A people who’ve lost their self-respect will continue to recognize their ILLEGITIMATE authority!

        • PickyPecker

Hang in there, my dear Bear. It’s not over. This whole farce is not going to end well for the traitors. It’s just a matter of time. XOXO

  • billbear1961

This is a repost from an earlier thread . . .

Where are Trump’s tax returns and other financial records, and WHY are there no demands–incessant and thunderous–from ANY quarter for them, neither in the press, nor from Congressional Democrats, nor from the public?! Even his own people think he’s doomed if that information becomes public!

Your chances to stop these fascists are SLIPPING AWAY! The electoral process is NOT secure, and they are stacking the courts with fanatics and weaponizing law enforcement. Getting hold of Trump’s financial history, insisting the elections be made secure, preventing the courts and law enforcement from being pulled ever-further to the right, and DEFENDING THE RULE OF LAW (protecting the Mueller investigation from any interference) should be the MAIN objectives of massive and relentless demonstrations on a scale with the Women’s Marches for ALL who can take part, demonstrations that should be coupled with substantial and nonstop economic measures.

It’s been estimated that 3.5% of the population constantly in the streets can bring down an authoritarian regime. It has also been estimated that significant economic measures taken by NY, CA and WA–those three states alone–could bring the U.S. economy to a virtual standstill. Stop all non-essential purchases, online and off. Recourse to a GENERAL STRIKE should not be ruled out.

The Sovereign Authority is YOURS, ALWAYS, not just at election time; and, if no one ELSE will defend the rule of law and the fundamental tenets of genuine democracy, not to mention simple human DECENCY, a FREE people MUST!

BEND your elected SERVANTS–who are violating their oaths of allegiance to the Constitution in attempting to SUBVERT the rule of law and to ROB you BLIND–to your Sovereign WILL, or PARALYZE the organs of illegitimate government and divest these saboteurs of the authority that their subversion FORFEITS!!

    • Billbear, I am outraged also by Trump. I want him to roast for eternity — an all star celebrity roast that never ends insulting him as he fries, over and over, is one idea. Bill Maher can play the devil and be the MC.
      But this
“It’s been estimated that 3.5% of the population constantly in the streets can bring down an authoritarian regime”
Who is “it”? Where are you finding this?
      I do not agree.
—In the USA, that would 12 million people constantly in the streets. We had that with the women’s marches. If we had this every day I am not sure it would bring down Trump and give us a President Mike Pence. (which I am not sure would be any better).
—The only way we are going to change our situation is at the ballot box. Or, by other legal remedies such as impeachment and removal from office which seems very unlikely simply because it has only been done 8 times in 225 years (never with a President) and requires bipartisan support — Republican Senators are not going to vote for this if it gets this far.
We need to do this at the voting booth. I am not sure demonstrations will accomplish this alone. But they cannot hurt.
I think any thoughts of a “revolution” to bring down our “system” will result in armed gun violence — and the right is better armed than we are. I would not support it, and LGBT people, blacks, latinos, and other minorities would suffer disproportionality.

      • billbear1961

As long as you continue to recognize the right of a neo-fascist party–the GOP as it is currently constituted–to exercise authority in what is supposed to be a democracy, the crisis will continue. Such a party, which rejects the rule of law and the tenets of genuine democracy, has no RIGHT to exercise authority in a true democracy! They are subverting the rule of law, and that FORFEITS any authority they could once have legitimately laid claim to. You must REFUSE to recognize the authority of these thieving, lying GANGSTERS unless they immediately alter the blatantly fascist path they are so obviously on, or soon you will have no PERMANENT rights!

They behave as they do because they have nothing but CONTEMPT for your weak refusal to stand against them! Show them OTHERWISE, in the streets of D.C. especially, before it’s too late. Passively REFUSE to cooperate with ANYTHING they do or demand, as MLK, Jr. would have done; or prepare to lose EVERYTHING, to live under their THUMBS, the butt of their jokes, their third-class SERVANTS if you are not relegated to GHETTO communities! You are set on a path to corruption like that of Putin’s Russia, and your last chance to take a stand is SLIPPING AWAY!!

        • coram nobis

You cannot buy the Revolution. You cannot make the Revolution. You can only be the Revolution. It is in your spirit or, it is nowhere.
          — Ursula Le Guin, The Disposessed

If it be now, ’tis not to come; if it be not to come, it will be now; if it be not now, yet it will come: the readiness is all.
          — Hamlet

          • billbear1961

I fear the spirit is dead in the U.S.–not in everyone, of course, but in the majority.

Without protests, and economic measures, I think it’s over. The people must save themselves–no one is going to do it FOR them.

      • billbear1961

All the claims I make about numbers and economic measures come from a study that was quoted in an article I saw excerpts from perhaps a YEAR ago on Daily Kos. I wish I’d kept the link, especially as I’ve been unable to find it since that time.

Pence would continue to stack the courts with fanatics and to weaponize law enforcement, and he would also do nothing to make the elections secure or to end voter suppression. He and his fellow neo-fascists in the GOP and their henchmen on the courts would continue to work against the tenets of genuine democracy, rejecting the fundamental principle of Equal Protection. No FREE people in a modern democracy can bow down to laws or rulings from fascist fanatics that, based on nothing but hate and prejudice, would strip millions of their civil rights, making them subservient to a “MASTER RACE” or a two-faced FANATICAL religion! The longer you wait to resist this party, the longer you recognize their illegitimate right to exercise authority over you in what is supposed to be a democracy, the worse conditions will get, and the harder it will be to dislodge them from power!

You place all your faith in elections which are NOT secure–where voter suppression has already robbed MANY of their right to vote. Voter registration rolls and the elections themselves are vulnerable to foreign and domestic hacking. Nothing is being done to prevent the same gross irregularities that occurred in 2016 from occurring AGAIN! One of the main objectives of massive and relentless protests should be to gain protection for EVERY citizen’s RIGHT to vote and to ensure elections will be free from ANY interference.

  • AtticusP

Orrin Hatch probably didn’t say it, but I have no doubt that those are the words that Trump heard.

I think that Dotard 45 has issues, and when this rat gets cornered it will not be pretty.

A wee suggestion: the next time they get together, perhaps the GOP will take a vote on replacing the elephant as their mascot/symbol with something more accurate. I would suggest they give serious consideration to the human centipede. Yes, that human centipede.

  • Pat Padrnos

Is anyone else feeling like they need to throw up about now? Orrin Hatch – Donald Trump – enough to make you want to do that.

I’ve an irritating chuckle, I’ve a celebrated sneer,
I’ve an entertaining snigger, I’ve a fascinating leer.
    To ev’rybody’s prejudice I know a thing or two;
    I can tell a woman’s age in half a minute — and I do.
But although I try to make myself as pleasant as I can,
Yet ev’rybody says I’m such a disagreeable man!
    And I can’t think why!
    Chorus: He can’t think why!
