SECRET SOCIETY: Emails Show “Anti-Trump” FBI Agent Wrote Draft Of Comey Letter Reopening Hillary Probe

CNN reports:

Emails obtained by CNN show the FBI agent at the center of a Capitol Hill storm played a key role in a controversial FBI decision that upended Hillary Clinton’s campaign just days before the 2016 election: the letter to Congress by then-FBI Director James Comey announcing the bureau was investigating newly discovered Clinton emails. The new revelation about FBI agent Peter Strzok comes as Republicans accuse him of being sympathetic to Clinton while seeking to undermine Donald Trump during the heat of the 2016 campaign season.

Strzok, who co-wrote what appears to be the first draft that formed the basis of the letter Comey sent to Congress, also supported reopening the Clinton investigation once the emails were discovered on disgraced former Rep. Anthony Weiner’s laptop, according to a source familiar with Strzok’s thinking. The day after Strzok sent his draft to his colleagues, Comey released the letter to Congress, reigniting the email controversy in the final days of the campaign.

False flag!!! Liberals spreading misinformation to make the Trumpers look crazier!!!

    • CPT_Doom

To quote Wadsworth the butler in Clue to Colonel Mustard: “You don’t need any help from me, Sir.”

      • agcons

Something I read in a novel years ago, and I cannot remember which novel: “I did not make a fool out of you. I merely pointed you in the right direction.”.

        • boatboy_srq

          Sounds like Sayers.

    • boatboy_srq

They really don’t need our help with that.

  • The_Wretched

The anti-Trump guy example was key in anti-Clinton efforts?

How do you “Sure Jan” on steroids?

    • kareemachan

I think the repugs just did.

  • PickyPecker
  • JoeMyGod
  • crewman

Gee, this kind of makes the GOP look like a bunch of liars and criminals grasping at straws to scuttle an investigation into another criminal.

    • johnnybc

Oh, it’s THAT what makes them look like a bunch of liars and criminals grasping at straws? Funny, I though that photograph had already been taken, developed, printed, mounted and framed….

    • Todd20036

Makes the FBI look like a bunch of blasted fools, too

      • JWC

        that was Nunes aim

      • AC

        how so?

    • Nic Peterson

And in other news, water is still wet.

  • Sam_Handwich

Soros and the lizard people aren’t going to like this one bit!!

OT – Tonight’s Law & Order SVU is all about Alt-right and Antifa. It’s worth watching. .

  • There is no truth, only that which is momentarily expedient. When reality becomes inconvenient denounce or deny. That is the Republican way.

    • boatboy_srq

      Ignorance Is Strength.

  • coram nobis

So, have I got this right? The anti-Trump FBI agent is the one that torpedoed the Clinton campaign in October 2016?

  • Jean-Marc in Canada

…and the shitshow keeps on shitting….

  • Sam_Handwich

    Super Bowl Sunday massacre?

    • JCF

Well, wouldn’t it? “How DARE you lie about the loyalty oath I demanded you make [Loyalty: lie on my behalf!]? You’re fired!”

  • Lazycrockett

But this fits right in with the bizarre narrative that Drumpfs believe in.

    • shivadog

What’s so bizarre? Obviously Hillary conspired with the Russians and the FBI to lose the election while selling children in the basement of a pizza place. Makes perfect sense.

  • another_steve

    Fuck all this depressing shit.

For my JMG friends, something wonderful from the soundtrack of “Call Me By Your Name.”

    Ravel’s “Une Barque sur L’Ocean”

    • ETownCanuck

That IS something wonderful, thank you!

  • GanymedeRenard

OT/ Joe, we haven’t seen an LGBT-related story for quite some time. Which makes me wonder if your blog is still a mainly LGBT-oriented site. :-/

You’re doing an excellent job, don’t get me wrong! And take this comment not as a critique, but merely as an observation. 🙂

    • Natty Enquirer

It has been mainly Democrats Against Trump as of late.

      • GanymedeRenard

        Edit: This isn’t sarcasm.

    • another_steve

      A fair observation, I think.

JMG has morphed into 60 percent general “anti-religion,” 20 percent “anti-Trump” and 20 percent “other.” For better or for worse.

It’s Joe’s blog and he has a 100 percent right to make of it as he pleases. He does an amazing job. At times, super-human.

I’m his guest only, and I applaud him.

      • GanymedeRenard

I agree with you 100%, which is why I said an “observation” (as a guest), and not a “reprehension” (as an owner).

      • canoebum

The hardest working man in the Blogosphere. Hip-hip…

        • another_steve

I have two major online sources for news: JMG and Google News.

I’ve made this observation in the past, here in the comment threads: I’ll read a breaking story here on JMG, and 20 or 25 minutes later, it hits Google News.

I don’t know how Joe does it.

      • Prost Seattle

I think of it this way: if we aren’t concentrating on the important matters in the republic, we’ll all be in boxcars heading who knows where.

        • another_steve

          Truth in that.

          But this also:

Without joy, without promise, life is sterile and barely worth living.

    • Bambino

The larger picture is the current administration and the congress undermining the FBI and packing the judicial branch with right wingers will have devastating impact on everyone including the LBGT community.

      • GanymedeRenard

Of course, but the same thing could be said about other minorities, and I’m sure this doesn’t preclude those minorities from having publications/blogs whose content is mainly dedicated to their specific issues.

    • William

There was a story yesterday about a Canadian serial killer who was targeting gay men.

      • GanymedeRenard

Correct, William. A story among dozen others.

    • JCF

I believe that if LGBTs aren’t focussed on Evil Incarnate in the White House, “strictly LGBT” posts would be like rearranging the tea dance on the Titanic…

      • GanymedeRenard

Same could be said about Ebony magazine. But that publication still exists chiefly to cater to the African-American community.

  • Treant

OT-ish: New rules, unstopped by the “Trump” “Administration” have gone into effect regarding T8 fluorescent light bulbs: “The most common category of T8 lamps, the 4-foot medium bipin, must now achieve an efficacy of 92.5 lm/W – a 3.8% increase over the previous efficiency standard…..Most current fluorescent T5 linear lamps already comply with the new standards.”

After all the whining about “banning” bulbs, apparently this wasn’t, after all, important enough to bother stopping. I’m sure you’re all shocked, but it was just a reason to whine at Obama.

(Also, my plant lights are T12 to avoid hot glass and burning leaves that grow into them…old-fashioned, but they serve a purpose)

    • Tread

They’re releasing LED bulbs that can be retrofitted to replace fluorescents. Much better for the environment.

      • Treant

        Yep, mostly T8.

I could replace my T12s with 12 volt LED strips and the work is certainly within my range. It would end up replacing 960 watts of fluorescent lighting with about 800 watts of LED light. I’d have to split-spectrum the LED lighting, or go with plant lights.

The price is…rather high, actually…and the spectrum not wonderful. I also use those fluorescents to fight seasonal affective, so I spend time down with my plants, visiting and reading a book to them.

        • boatboy_srq

Cree made a T8 bulb with a wonderful bright white temp. Apparently it was a “fire hazard” so was pulled off the shelves.

          • Treant

Plants are weird; we respond best to reds and yellows. Greens we also see well. Blues, not so much, but we manage. Purples, poorly. Near IR and near UV, not at all.

Plants “see” best in the near infrared to red, and again in purple to near ultraviolet (UVA). Hence the reason why they’re green, and yellow or bright red/orange when the green fades; they’re bouncing away that light as useless or as creating more heat than it’s worth.

So our lights are tuned for our eyes. Plants are often left in the dark, so to speak, in terms of efficient photosynthesis.

Consequently, the spectra of plant lights has to be chosen very carefully. Talk to PickyPecker for way more on that subject!

  • leastyebejudged

    Lock them up !

  • joe ho

lol. The Deep State is way more clever than we imagined.

    • Ben in Oakland

      And even more imaginary.

  • Gerry Fisher

That picture was amusing when it was first published, and it has an extra layer of poignancy now that we’re a year into the Cheetolini regime.

  • Ninja0980

The FBI folks wanted Trump, they got him.
No pity at all for them.

  • boatboy_srq

Something tells me that the “deep state” the MAGAts and Teahadis fear so much is actually a creature of their own creation, and fails just as spectacularly as they insist ours succeeds.

  • GayOldLady

Well that blows the GOP’s Strozck and FBI Secret Society and pro Hillary bias theory.

  • JCF

“Quick, Rethug minions: time to think up a NEW diversion from Drumpf’s Treason! The media just eats that shit up—they never tire of it.”

  • Ore Carmi

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again–I hate Republicans. In all their forms.
