REPORT: Trump Taunted FBI’s Andrew McCabe By Asking How His Wife Feels About Being A “Loser”

NBC News reports:

The day after President Donald Trump fired James Comey as director of the FBI, he became so furious watching television footage of Comey boarding a government-funded plane from Los Angeles back to Washington that he called the bureau’s acting director, Andrew McCabe, to vent, according to multiple people familiar with the phone call.

Trump demanded to know why Comey was allowed to fly on an FBI plane after he had been fired, these people said. McCabe told the president he hadn’t been asked to authorize Comey’s flight, but if anyone had asked, he would have approved it, three people familiar with the call recounted to NBC News.

The president was silent for a moment and then turned on McCabe, suggesting he ask his wife how it feels to be a loser — an apparent reference to a failed campaign for state office in Virginia that McCabe’s wife made in 2015. McCabe replied, “OK, sir.” Trump then hung up the phone.

The White House, as always, has denied the report.

  • Moebym of the Returners

I don’t think we need more confirmation that the squatter in the WH is at heart an 8-year-old schoolyard bully.

    • Treant

I think most of us came to that conclusion ages ago.

What’s shocking is that McCabe put up with it and didn’t snitch the Russian Payoff files to send to Mueller. Or maybe he did. I guess we might find out someday.

      • TK

Really interesting thing is that no one including the orange asshole has a clue what Mueller really has up his sleeve.

        • PickyPecker

I’m truly hoping for SHOCK AND AWE tactics from Mueller. Take all those motherfuckers down fast.

      • northern_neighbour

Brilliant! I bet he has been quietly planning his exit, leaving all the damning evidence he had total access to in the hands of Mueller, yet “anonymously” “with no footprints in the snow” And can have a quiet and peaceful time, maybe work on his wife’s next campaign, or not …

  • I wish this fucker were dead.
    yes, I fucking said it.

    • Todd20036

Agreed. Heart attack, stroke, or just someone fucking shoot him already.
      Shit. I fucking hate Nazis.

      • Mark Née Fuzz

If the secret service would just give him the Caligula Praetorian Guard treatment..

      • Natty Enquirer

I hear your frustration, but calling for violence may get you in trouble with Joe and the Secret Service.

        • Christopher

He’s not technically calling for violence, just making his wishes publicly known.

Like my mother used to say to me “Wish in one hand and shit in the other. Now which one would fill up faster?”

          • Stephen Elliot Phillips

well unless youre into scat. Then your wish is granted…..
            lol

          • Christopher

            LOL

            Eww!

        • Mark Cross

Plus, with Trump in office, I bet the Secret Service is very, very busy tracking down how many people are hoping and wishing for him to die, one way or another! Tracking millions of people wishing the same thing would take hundreds or even thousands of agents.
Trump’s death is not necessary. A stroke for example, a paralyzing stroke, accompanied by a complete loss of ability to speak would be just fine with me.

          • saucetin

The Stephen Hawking sentence. A start.

      • Denis

He’s not going to. He will live to be 100. Fucking Dick Cheney is still alive. Rupert Murdoch, the Koch bros, Sheldon adelson -all ancient. Evil people don’t have stress

        • The two evil Pat’s roberson and buchanan

        • TK

They also all have and can afford the very best medical care in the entire world to keep their sorry saggy asses alive. All of them way overdue for the big dirt nap.

          • While working to make sure the poors don’t have any chance.

        • RationalismRules

But narcissists have higher levels of cortisol (stress marker), so there’s a glimmer of hope.
          https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/240692.php

        • BlueberriesForMe

I’m afraid so. As you say, Dick Cheney is a perfect example.
However, I look forward to the day that Drumpf is permanently out of office, whether tomorrow or in the near future.

      • DreadPikathulhu

If he’s shot he’ll be a martyr for the right. I’d rather he suffer the consequences when, after his trial, he face a slow, painful death from rectal cancer and watches from his prison deathbed as his legacy is destroyed and the name “Trump” is spat upon.

        • Berdawn Hutchinson

it’s not like pissing on Reagan’s grave is a thing but there is hope, I guess

        • RationalismRules

I suspect the greatest pain you could inflict on him would be to vote him out in a landslide. ‘You’re fired!’

        • fahvel

          bravo!!!!!!

      • margaretpoa

        Then we have Pence.

      • charemor

And let’s hope that it is slow and painful.

      • exGander

Please. I have been awaiting a well placed sniper’s bullet since last November.

Fuck you CIA and whoever else may be wiretapping this shit. You know you want this too.

      • gothambear

No no we want him in pain and drooling = looking terrible and miserable for years….shitting his pants, the whole thing.

      • Grumpy Old Man

How about a stroke that leaves him blind, speechless, and paralyzed from the shoulders down.

      • fahvel

maybe not dead so much as totally incapacitated drooling dripping with pain and totally aware at all times of his decay. Damn, that sounds like now –

    • Mark Née Fuzz

Me too. And I don’t particularly care to hear any of the “Pence is worse”whining.

      • Todd20036

Agreed. We will deal with Pence when we need to

      • DreadPikathulhu

Pence will be covered in Trump taint. Any term he serves will be filled with scandal as the revelations come out.

        • Pence will be covered in Trump taint.

          …he’s gonna turn orange?

          • saucetin

            “Pence will tongue trump ‘taint”
isn’t at all cromulent as fantasy

discuss site spell-check tries to change to ‘corpulent’ thoughtful

        • Joe in PA

Please, never say the word “Trump” and “taint” in the same sentence, k?

Some of us have a certain fondness.

        • emjayay

Well with better luck Pence will be implicated also. He at least knew a whole lot that he chose to pretend weren’t happening. Because Jesus.

    • Treant

True, but…this site does get mined for potential threats and those get reposted on right-wing sites. This is a little too easy to misconstrue.

      I might advise revising it…

      • canoebum

Please. Let them repost this: I’d pay money to watch him being hanged. Traitorous piece of shit that he is.

      • It Takes a Village, People

I’m long past caring about the Right Wing narrative. I will never be on my best behavior again.

        • Treant

Then, I’m sorry to say, you’ll watch your bad behavior be reflected all around as “All Liberals Do This.”

          • It Takes a Village, People

            Fuck off, troll

          • Treant

            Well, aren’t you a delight.

    • Christopher

I’d rather see him destitute and poor, living in a cardboard box next to a building that used to display his name.

    • TK

I for one am glad you said it because I have been thinking it for a long time. I have never wished so much evil upon a person in my entire life. He doesn’t deserve to be breathing the Clean Air that he is working so hard to pollute.

      • DreadPikathulhu

I’m torn. I don’t like saying it but I’ve never hated anyone more than DJT, his family, and his enablers in the Republican party. After eight years of of Obama putting this country on a path towards the future despite all attempts by the GOP to derail his efforts, we’ve seen so much destroyed in just 12 months and there are 36 more to go.

        • Mark Cross

The Russian presidency used to have a term of just four years, then good old Putin changed it from 4 to 6. It wouldn’t surprise me a bit to see that page from the Russian Playbook try to be imitated here by the orange orangutan.

    • RNegron

      tRump will die in Jail!

[I say this, because just yesterday someone here used the phrase “armed rebellion”, which I flagged. If you’re going to test the diligence of the Secret Service or FBI, please do so on your own websites.]

  • penpal

It’s entirely consistent with Trump’s character and mannerisms. No one should doubt the report for a moment. Not that anything he does or says ever makes a difference in his approval ratings.

  • McCabe will get his revenge when he asks Trump how he likes his new orange jump suit.

    • Chucktech

    • Rambie

He was going to leave in March, so there’s some reason he left this early. Hopefully he’ll have a talk with Muller soon

      • Chucktech

He only resigned his position as FBI Deputy Director. He will still be in the FBI until March so he can get his pension.

      • ClevelandJim

He probably just doesn’t want to fucking deal with trump’s bullshit anymore.

  • Reality.Bites

Great sir. Perhaps you could ask yours how she feels being married to someone she can’t hide her hatred for, even in public?

  • bkmn

A reminder that Trump should not be calling anyone at the FBI, other than to ask for updates on cases they are working.

      I think you mean ‘deplorable”.

      • “Deplorable” feels too kind.

        • Joe in PA

          It really does.

    • canoebum

New Yorkers have been saying that since the 1970s. The message hasn’t gotten through to a lot of people yet.

      • SkokieGuy

New Yorkers weren’t loud enough and vocal enough to join the chorus trying to warn the country. Maybe, knowing what a hated clown he is, never thought his chances were serious? But once he got the nomination, they should have been shouting from the rooftops.

      • emjayay

As our former multi-term super rich guy mayor said, “God help us. I’m a New Yorker, and I know a con when I see one.”

    • jeffg166

Yea, if SCOTUS grants a stay based on this crap, then the next time Democrats get control of the Senate, it will be time to expand it.
If the Republican judges on there will go along with crap like this, then the only option will to expand the courts to counteract them.

    • Treant

Disagree. If SCOTUS grants a stay on this crap, it’s time to revolt. They have just placed their stamp on one political party and endorsed them for 2 elections in a row, guaranteeing Republican rule.

Post census, there will be yet another reason to delay.

  • Boreal

tRump, emolumenter-in-chief, furious that someone was getting a government benefit to which they might not be entitled, priceless…

    • CPT_Doom

Not to mention Comey was on official business when the coward Drumpf fired him, and Comey learned about it on the news. Pretty sure any company that fires you while you’re on a business trip for them has an obligation to get you back home.

  • Stogiebear

In order to make sure this kind of thing never happens again, next time he fires someone who is travelling anywhere on Air Force One, he’ll call the pilots and have the plane recalled to Washington immediately. That way the losing loser has to make his/her own travel arrangements back. So will all the support stall on AF-1 but who cares about those peasants. If they want to fly they should flap their arms faster.

    • cyndikdb

I’m thinking about DT heading to Russia someday – maybe when Mueller is coming down with indictments or something – and the US and AF1 just leave him there and hightail it back to the US. A girl can dream.

    • Christopher

He should sue for hostile work environment.

There are no checks and balances in their blessed holy founding fathers design to fix this level of “fucked up”

      • billbear1961

In a democratic republic, the Sovereign Authority belongs to the PEOPLE. Icelanders understood this in 2008. That authority is not–NOT–limited to election time.

When a government is subverting the rule of law, its authority is FORFEIT. It’s undermining the very foundation of any claim it can make to legitimate authority in a GENUINE democracy. Don’t expect the corporate media or the spineless Democrats to point this TRUTH out to you!

If no one ELSE will defend the rule of law, the PEOPLE must!

        • David Walker

And we’re not. What does that say about us? Women’s marches, great. Town hall meeting protests. Excellent. In person protests about the tax on everyone but the rich. Loud and brassy. Come and go. Come and go. Pressure needs to be applied constantly.

          • billbear1961

            ^^This!^^

          • billbear1961

And they’re doing this because careful observation over the past quarter century has led them to believe–rightly–that nothing would be done to stop them, to stop their gradual, insidious overthrow of the Republic.

          • billbear1961

Yes, as I’ve been saying, massive and relentless protests are needed.

        • MBear

I doubt what worked in Iceland could ever happen in the US. It’s a nice fantasy, though

A friend of mine is a criminal defense attorney (named female lawyer of the year — Philadelphia a few years ago), you should sit back and watch her explode on the “strict originalists”. A joy. She met Gorsuch a while back and actually said “we kind of liked the guy”. You should hear her take on him now. Explosive.

Yeah it would be great to come home to this guy, even though I see he’s likely cruising internet porn on his laptop there on the bed.

        • Cuberly Deux

Studying greek in Canada….sounds like a much better plan.

          • northern_neighbour

Yeah, the Athenians were pretty awesome way back in the 5th Century B.C. Art, sculpture, architecture, great dramas, historians, Olympic games, success in boat building and thus trade around the local seas and a radical new Democracy, courts of their peers, and a general pride in achieving one’s personal best and most excellent self, both physically, and intellectually, and as a citizen, with self restraint and shunning hubris (arrogance.) But yeah, they had slaves … brought home from conquests, and of course women had no role beyond the domestic one.

If they had bet more heavily on their very observant scientists of the time instead of endless colony conquest, the modern world would likely have come about far sooner. Unfortunately they were also a fighting oriented society only a few hundred years out of the Bronze and Iron ages. Conflict resolution was not fully developed in terms of our modern view of human rights.

But they were an awesome culture in so many ways.

Although Fortune probably had it in for them anyways, ultimately, and that Lady’s name was Rome.

    • Steverino

Given a choice of one or the other, I’d sooner watch a YouTube recording of Kellyanne Conway and Sarah Palin harmonizing with a key-grinder at Home Depot.

    • thatotherjean

I can’t stand his voice, even when he’s (rarely) being honest; I refuse to listen to him blathering on about how wonderful he is and how great the economy is after his first year in office. He’s not wonderful, and the economy is doing sort of OK because the policies are still Obama’s.

      • emjayay

It will be read in his revolting flat reading voice with those negative intonations. Sure he attacked Obama for using teleprompters, but what the hell. Mexico was definitely gonna pay for that beautiful wall too.

    • emjayay

I am. It will be appalling and disgusting. I have a really big bottle of bourbon.

        • David Walker

It’s like you’re in an organization and everyone is all hot and bothered about a project. A vote to take action is won by anonymous consent. Lots of “good”s and “yes”s. Then comes the question: Who wants to lead the project? And no one takes it over. We were born from a revolt against a despotic ruler. The times demand we either do something concrete and widespread or go home and turn on the TV or play games.

          • billbear1961

“The times demand we either do something concrete and widespread or” ADMIT IT’S OVER, and the U.S. is no longer a free country.

        • Steven B

I marched in Chicago on Jan 20 with 300,000 others not counting the millions of protestors around the country who would beg to differ with you. No one can silence your voice as long as will still have the freedom of speech and freedom of assembly gauramteeed by First Amendment. Look at the faces of the Americans in my video. Do they look like they’re submitting to anything?

My husband and I marched in Chicago on Jan 20 where 300,000 others not counting the millions of other protestors around the country would beg to differ with you. No one can
silence your voice as long as will still have the freedom of speech and freedom of assembly guaranteed by First Amendment. Look at the faces of the Americans in my video. Do they look like they’re submitting to anything? (Forgive the dramatic background music. It was too perfect not to use)

I have no intention of submitting to Evil Inc. I do, however, have decades of rage built up to fight them should they arrive.

This scene comes to mind frequently…

its OK bill-bear, its OK, … polar bears like you will always be loved up here in Canuckistan, even if you have to go live in the Winnipeg zoo as the polar caps melt away. Or, come to think of it, they have Polar bears also in the Zoo in St. Felicien up in Lac St. Jean.

Winnipeg has St. Boniface, so it’s a good bet that those bears are bilingue and in a pinch those in La Belle Province can handle either French cuisine, such as whole fresh live fish, or standard English fare, like whole fresh live fish, for example … 😇
…and hold the batter and the chips and the salt & vinegar.

My heart does bleed though for your non-polar bear countrymen who are caught up in the nightmare.

Oh I also forgot, though, … you also still have your sweet Québecois Man …
The two of you are national Canuckistan cultural treasures, btw.
And this here American blog is also a Canadian cultural treasure … despite its very international readership. G’nite then, et de bonnes rêves.

      {gonna say it}

Fuck your fatalism. We CANNOT afford it!

  • Joe in PA

So I read (from a Mediaite commenter — don’t judge) that today was the last day to sign the Russian sanctions bill. First, I thought it WAS signed. Secondly, how fucking long does he have to start enforcing? Why isn’t the MSM hammering him on this?

    • Boreal

      Benghazi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      • Joe in PA

Don’t forget that sexual harasser working Hillary’s campaign!

        • Boreal

Yeah some worthless troll lil something or another was trolling on JMG yesterday about that.

        • Ninja0980

CNN has been covering that non-stop since Saturday.

          • Joe in PA

Fuuuuucccckkkk. I saw (didn’t click) some item on RawStory…some accuser beefing. Goddamit…THIS is what CNN has to worry about?

    • billbear1961

Because the miserable bastards are COMPLICIT!

    • safari

      So, pocket veto

      • E.J.

According to the Senate web site:
“The Constitution grants the president 10 days to review a measure passed by the Congress. If the president has not signed the bill after 10 days, it becomes law without his signature. However, if Congress adjourns during the 10-day period, the bill does not become law.”

So, there are SOME restrictions on how the pocket veto is used.

      • Joe in PA

Is that anything like “pocket pool”? Asking for a friend.

  • billbear1961

By not launching massive and relentless protests, coupled with economic measures, to STOP this SUBVERSION of the RULE OF LAW, this Republic is saying to this GANGSTER and all his henchmen in the White House, in Congress, in their media LIE machine, “Okay, sir.”

  • itsjoe618

Guy who got 3 million less votes than his opponent calls someone else a loser? lol

  • Christopher

Well Donnie knows a lot about losers. Just look at the three oldest spawn.

(I’m giving Tiffany a pass because she’s stayed out of the shitshow for the most part, and Barron gets a pass because he’s a kid. He’ll most likely turn out to be a raging asshole, but only time will tell.)

  • margaretpoa

Know what? I don’t know anything about McCabe personally but as hateful as the FBI was toward Clinton and as much as they tried to help the shitgibbon win the election, you’d think Il Duce Arancia would be a bit more grateful….or the FBI a bit more apologetic to the country.

    • coram nobis

I’m not sure I’d compare Donald to Benito. Mussolini was more eloquent, and also spoke other languages than his own, German and English at least, and Donald can hardly manage English.

Mussolini also had his son-in-law shot when he got inconvenient.

  • nocadrummer

“How do I feel about being a ‘loser’? I don’t know. Why don’t you ask one of your wives?”

  • another_steve

Very embarrassed to be an American today.

Please forgive us, all non-Americans reading here.

    • andrew

Don’t forget that 66,000,000+ of us Americans voted for Hillary who would probably have been much like an Obama 3rd term.

  • JP

Narcissist are all frighteningly the same.My ex expected me to treat pepple shitty that he would fall out with. One time he had the petty fallout with a mutual friend. We ran into the friend in public and I was cordial to the guy. Nothing more. The ex ripped me the biggest new asshole(and not in a good way) as soon as the guy was gone.

    • Jerry Kott

It is a frightening dance. Reality is not the Narcissist Friend.

      • JP

Sorry to have jmg therapy but Trump and Melsnia trigger me.my ex used to pick fights with my friends as an isolation technique

        • kareemachan

I am SO glad you are using the word “ex”. Stay well and safe and away from that asshat.

          • JP

we. Didnt speak for 2 months and out of the blue he calls christmas day. Now he messages everyday. Its hard to not respond because it was 5 years.

          • Dazzer

Emphatically do not respond to him.

He doesn’t love you, he doesn’t like you and he just wants to control you to get his own back.

          • JP

I was at first, but then I noticed the games had started again. Now I just do everything to keep myself occupied so I don’t feel the need to respond to him. Things like posting in here. It’s just so bizarre because I was treated like a s-hole for 5 years and when I’m gone suddenly he wants to be my best friend or something. This is why I feel a degree of empathy for Melania. We can call her complicit and all that, and even I roll my eyes at her birther stuff, but I wonder how much of that was her. I stayed in my situation for 5 years and he wasn’t even wealthy or anything like that. After awhile I just felt trapped.

        • Jerry Kott

No problem. I suspect that many here have been to that mountain. It is like being caught in a spider’s web and the more you struggle to get out, the more complicated it gets. It is “gas lighting ” to the max.

What a loathsome creep we have in the Oval Office.
Donald Trump lacks the class and education to be president, he is nothing more than a thug hiding from the overwhelming body of facts showing that he has been working financial deals with Russians for a very long time. No doubt, he has broken laws along the way, but that is for the Grand Jury to decide.
It has been verified, Donald Trump forced the FBI Director, Christopher Ray to push out Asst. FBI Director Andrew McCabe for doing his job. There is no evidence McCabe has shown bias against Trump, but Trump is in a panic and wants the investigation to end immediately.
You would think if Trump was innocent, he would let the process play out in order to exonerate him, but no, he acts like he is as guilty as they come.
I have to believe there is a balance in the universe and when Karma finally comes for him, it won’t be pretty and we will all be wincing and turning our heads.

  • netxtown

i suppose – for the betterment of the nation – I refused to take career path into politics. Had i made it to this particular WH – I would have back handed his stupid fucking flapping yap in perpetuity.

  • J Ascher

I hope McCabe writes a tell-all book about Trump’s behavior toward him and the FBI!

  • ClevelandJim

Ok, just think about it. How does he come up with these obscure factoids with which to taunt people in the moment like this supposed phone call thing about McCabe’s wife? Does he have a rolodex, with cards for everyone in any type govt capacity, listing this’ll-piss’em-off bullet points?

    • coram nobis

Donald has a long memory for grudges. It’s one thing he’s well-practiced at.

  • fuzzybits

Someone should’ve beat donnie in the head with the phone after he hung up.

  • Chris Gardner

This man is about as evil and they come. Just like with other evil monsters throughout history, his time will one day pass. We just need to make sure that history remembers him as truly evil.

  • Silver Badger

Ah yes, a man of class and distinction is the illegitimate president. /s

  • unclemike

Just in case we were wondering if Trump was a completely irredeemable vicious used diaper of a person.

    He is.

  • boatboy_srq

As has been pointed out to me elsewhere, the biggest part of this is that Lord Dampnut wanted Comey’s “disloyalty” to come with immediate consequences – in this case, being stranded in Los Angeles and have to get himself back to DC on his own.

He really does think the entire federal bureaucracy works for, and is accountable to, him personally.

  • Mark_in_MN

Trump is a petty, inhumane, cruel tyrant. Not that is any new revelation. Even if I had just fired him, had he been denied a flight back home after traveling for government business, that’s when I would have been furious. Stranding someone away from home is well beyond reasonableness and good sense.

  • Mike Knife

Trump Taunted FBI’s Andrew McCabe By Asking How His Wife Feels About Being A “Loser”, there could be some truth in that people. Think about it.

  • thatotherjean

Nasty, spiteful, petty little man. He lacks any qualifications whatever to be president, and he seems to recognize at odd moments how far over his head he is. I hope he’s miserable, but I do wish he would stop being able to spread his misery to the rest of us. C’mon, Mr. Mueller!

What a truly uncouth POS! BULLY!

  • Gerry Fisher

For some reason, this report angers me more than anything I’ve read about him recently. Damned embarrassing, childish bully posing as a human being, never mind a president.
