Trump Golfs For 85th Time Since Inauguration After Tweeting That He’d Be Getting “Back To Work” Today

The Hill reports:

President Trump visited his West Palm Beach, Fla., golf course the day after Christmas. The president arrived at the Trump International Golf Club just after 9 a.m. on Tuesday.

The president, who has insisted he is on a “working vacation,” tweeted on Christmas night that he would get “back to work” Tuesday. The White House has not told reporters how Trump will be spending his time at the course.

He’ll be on the golf course, out of listening range, with a Russian oligarch or two.

    • BearEyes

Is Derapaska’s (SP?) yacht still docked in Mimi?

    • Tomcat

Mueller has the sand traps and woods bugged.

      • Bj Lincoln

        I hope!

    • GayOldLady

No such thing as “out of listening range”. Trump’s own words, spoken from his own mouth, will spell his doom.

  • shellback

“…it’s back to work in order to Make America Great Again (which is happening faster than anyone anticipated)!

Here’s hoping for a true patriot will do his/her duty:

    • Karl Dubhe 2

Or if not a patriot, maybe a fox will help solve the problem with Donald.

      • Gustav2

        My favorite pic this week!

      • Bj Lincoln

We have them all around and they are fun to watch. There is a meadow close where they bring the little ones to get sun and play in the spring.

    • agcons

I’m seeing a remarkable resemblance between the gator’s jowls and Donnie’s.

    • Bj Lincoln

That was a huge one! Damn! I would play Drumpf being attacked by one that size over and over. Thanks for the day dream of the day.

  • Tomcat

Yes trump is making America great again. He is piling it high and wide and making America a great big pile of shit.

  • Tomcat

Mueller works non-stop to get you trump. Be very afraid.

  • ohbear1957

    Fixed it:
“I hope everyone is having a great Christmas, then tomorrow it’s back to
work for Robert Mueller to make his case for treason (which is happening faster
    than anyone anticipated)!”

But he’s not black so no one gives a damn.

  • CanuckDon

For the life of me, I just don’t get any of this hideous situation. I get that the rich of America’s rightwing are having their heyday currently and gleefully fulfilling whatever hellish agenda is going through their deranged minds but what I cannot get is how they personally deal with Trump. They hate him as much as the rest of us (probably more) so where and when will this finally end? They now have their beloved tax cuts. I just wonder now if the brakes will be pulled.

    • BearEyes

      $$ uber alles
As long as they can milk some more $ out, they’ll keep him. When that gravy train dries up, he’s out so they can milk the next scam – er gravy train. When tRump is played out, he’s totally expendable.

      • CanuckDon

I guess that’s the question…just what else are they wanting? Have noble government regulations towards certain business ventures to protect the people always been a thorn in the sides of the money-hungry? When I look at this battle in the states, is it clearly indicative of the evils of money?

        • BearEyes

they don’t want any regulations that have any impact on them.
consumer protection regulations = job killing regulations (read that as money making as a job)
          They want power and control.

        • zhera

They want a war. And they want Donnie to start it, so that when Pence takes over he can be the savior of Murka.

  • Todd20036

You know, Trump hurts America the least when he isn’t working.

So I’m no longer bothered by him vacationing.

    • Karl Dubhe 2

His appointees are doing the damage he’s not doing.

    • Jean-Marc in Canada

The problem is, he’s never really been working. The WH and the government are being run by Pence and his Christofascist Cabal. Trump is literally a figure head, I’m convinced of it. Worse still, all this money he’s wasted could have easily help fund CHIP and other programs. He’s ineptitude, crass disregard for fiscal responsibility and the GOP’s glee at having free reign should give pause. He’s hurting America, whether he’s golfing, tweeting or sitting his fat ass in the Oval Office. So, with due respect, be bothered, be very, very bothered.

  • BlackGayVeganAtheist

WOW so in eleven months of golfing and before this trips price to be included in the billing of costs it was just over $91$ million in known costs.

This trip will put it over the $100 million dollar mark for sure in less than a full year.

President Obama’s trips cost $90 million over 8 years. This idiot spent that amount in just one year. That is the type of fiscal responsibility you can expect from the GOP.

The conservative party at its finest moments.

    • Tomcat

Yes, it shows how absurd it is for republicans to call themselves fiscally conservative.

  • Tomcat

What I love is the fact that congress does not trust trump enough to actually go on vacation. They are actually not on vacation to keep him from doing stupid things while they are gone.

    • Tomcat

Just think what he might do if congress actually went on vacation.

  • Ragnar Lothbrok
    • Todd20036

      Oooo. I like this idea.

  • I think Trump plays more golf than I play video games, which is saying something.

Trump Golfs For 85th Time Since Inauguration After Tweeting That He’d Be Getting “Back To Work” Today

It’s hard work hauling that fat ass into and out of a golf cart.

  • anne marie in philly

is it wrong of me to want to shove that MAGA slogan so far up dump’s ass that he will never shit again?

    • bzrd

      or sit

    • Gianni

Not wrong in my book. It’s not good manners, but, fact is that at some point, you have to set Miss Manners aside.

  • Coprolite

“Getting back to work” is Dump’s secret code for screwing US citizens out of their hard earned money by playing golf at his resorts at our expense.

  • boobert

That tweet doesn’t mean HE’S going to work. He’s just telling everyone else to go to work. He’s in FL till after new years.

  • JWC

the operative word “Working’ Maybe “working” on his Golf swing

  • GanymedeRenard

“Back to work”?? HA! That’s a good one.

  • FelineMama

Back to Work??!! What exactly is his “work” anyway. Other than being a disgusting Moron & getting a lot of money, being a disgusting Moron.

  • infmom

Golf is a lot of work for someone built like the Michelin man.

  • EdA

This is somewhat off-topic, but I don’t recall ever seeing any reports on how well Benedict Trump scores and whether he has in fact improved his game any. At this point, he should have thoroughly mastered each of his courses, even apart from possible cheating.

    • Gianni

You’re right. I’ve not seen a single comment on how well he plays or his scoring ability. Maybe he golfs like he leads the country – not well at all.

  • Gianni

What does Donnie call ‘work’? I’m sure it isn’t what most of the rest of us call ‘work’. How does he find time to do anything of importance between rounds of golf? When he said, during the campaign while he was complaining about ‘all the golfing’ that Obama does, that he wouldn’t have time for golf because he’d be spending all his time working in the WH – he actually mixed up the words. He meant that he wouldn’t have time for work because of all the golfing he’d be doing. Donnie has to top anything that Obama did and that includes the amount of golf trips. I believe he’s already outstripped Obama’s eight years worth of golfing.
