Roy Moore Issues “Voter Fraud” Money Beg

The Hill reports:

Roy Moore’s campaign announced Friday that it is seeking donations for an “election integrity fund” following the former judge’s unsuccessful bid for an Alabama Senate seat.

Moore has refused to concede the race, which went to his Democratic opponent Doug Jones with 50 percent of the vote compared to Moore’s 48 percent.

The campaign is seeking to meet a deadline to report cases of voter fraud before Alabama’s secretary of state certifies the vote. The election will be certified between Dec. 26 and Jan. 3.

“My campaign team is busy collecting numerous reported cases of voter fraud and irregularities for the Secretary of State’s office,” the statement said.

So Mercer said no to his money request to pay for a recount. Good. Get it from the morans.

    • olandp

He’s not going to pay for any re-count. This is his last attempt to grift a few more bucks from the rubes. There won’t be a re-count, and Roy ain’t givin’ no refunds.

      • teeveedub

If they were dumb enough to vote for him, they’re probably also dumb enough to give him money for a recount.

        • glass

In alternate reality world, moore would get enough to get a recount. And it would be awesome if Jones’ numbers increased because of it. That would be an ultra fuck you to moore.

          • margaretpoa

But here is realityland, we need Jones seated sooner, rather than later.

98 percent of black women and 93% of black men voted for Democratic Senator-elect Doug Jones yesterday in Alabama, a state where black people make up a quarter of the population. Black voters made up 28% of the electorate on Tuesday, a turnout that hasn’t been seen since President Obama’s 2008 and 2012 campaigns. Since those numbers started to trickle in late last night and early this morning, one thing became clear: black voters saved America from Roy Moore.

How about the Democratic Party stop ignoring the Black voter. As they’ve been doing for decades now.

          • margaretpoa

Those things aren’t mutually exclusive and after 2016 it is more evident than ever that liberals and Democrats need to get our shit together and stop being so petty and purity demanding. Yeah, there are places to draw the line but giving a speech on Wall Street or having been a Republican in high school is not that place. We can organize our “own people” AND stop ignoring the Black, especially female, base. And if we don’t, all we’ll have to blame are ourselves.

          • unsavedheathen

Without Black voters the Democratic Party could not exist as a national political party. And while African-american voters may be ignored after elections, before elections they are heavily courted. And the power they exert on the internal politics of the party should not be discounted. African-american, Democratic primary voters in ruby red, southern states, in effect, chose the Democratic nominee last year. I’m not making a judgement or trying to start anything here with anybody.

Today the Democratic party south of the Mason-Dixon line is to a great degree, a party of African-americans. This is the fruit of Nixon’s Southern strategy, gerrymandered congressional districts that contain and isolate black populations and sixty years of dog-whistle appeals to racist whites by Republicans since the passage of the CRA and VRA.

        • La’Kietha

America needs to come to the realization that forced labor (slavery) brought this country to prosperity, and at least 1/3 (probably 3/4) of the country are pissed and embarrassed and try to pretend it didn’t happen and don’t know how to deal with it.

Blaming the victims isn’t going to fix it.
Pretending it didn’t happen isn’t going to fix it.

We are so fucked, we exploit the disadvantaged and then resent them for needing them.

Rep. Jackie Speier, tonight on a local (San Francisco) news program.

Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-San Mateo) told KQED Newsroom today that she believes Republicans are trying to shut down the House Intelligence Committee’s probe into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 elections.Speier also said, “The rumor on the Hill when I left yesterday was that the president was going to make a significant speech at the end of next week. And on Dec. 22nd, when we are out of D.C., he was going to fire Robert Mueller.”

Current and former female Fox News employees say they are “stunned,” “disgusted” and “hungry for justice” after media mogul Rupert Murdoch on Thursday dismissed allegations of sexual misconduct at the network as “nonsense” outside of a few “isolated incidents” with former Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes.

In the case of the wife and these ladies, it’s what I’m referring to when I say I have very little sympathy for the problems you yourself have caused.

Then they wonder why other people despise them.

I preferred the Space: 1999 analogue, “The Guardian of Piri.” From the photo below, you can see at least two reasons why.

Their strange lamps and use of orange?

        • Treant

Yeah. Yeah, that’s it. It was the creative use of a high-tension color that managed to create a serene background.

      • safari

I avoided Space 1999 and other shows with a year in their title as I was too young.

          Except Seaquest 2032.

          It was nuts.

The biggest argument my father and I ever got into peripherally involved Space 1999. He slapped me (only time that ever happened) and I threatened him with a scalpel from my brother’s school dissection kit if he ever did it again. True story.

          • greenmanTN

            OK, here goes.

It was a Saturday and the local PBS station showed Space 1999 in the afternoon and I liked it, though in retrospect it’s pretty bad. My dad came into my room and said it was time to mow the yard, which I was planning on doing, so I said, “OK, I’ll do it as soon as this show is over.”

Him: No, you’ll do it NOW. (I don’t know what had crawled up his ass, but that was unusual behavior for him.)

This went back and forth for a bit until I said “You’ve been sitting on your fucking ass all day reading a goddamn western and now that you’re done everybody else has to hop to it. Well it doesn’t WORK that way, I SAID I will mow the yard when my show is over!”

            SLAP!

By this time we had moved into the hall so I turned and ran into me room and locked the door and he was banging on it, demanding I let him in. I let him in but I was holding the scalpel and said “If you EVER hit me again I will cut your fucking throat.”

He left, then a bit later my mother came in and said “Well I hope you’re happy because you made your daddy cry.” I went into their room, he was crying, I started crying and we hugged and cried together.

Then I mowed the fucking yard.

          • safari

            Thank you.

          • sadoldguy

            That sucks.
Family dynamics get so warped out of perspective over (probably) unrelated events.
Empty the garbage is an escalation of “your music is too loud” or “your hair is too long”.

          • safari

“Dad’s mowing the lawn with a gun in case *they* come.”

          • greenmanTN

The dynamics in my family were already screwy, but by the time I, the late accident, came along it was tending toward southern gothic. First off, my parents were told I was mentally handicapped when I was born due to a switched test (PKU) at the hospital. My mother couldn’t handle that and later terms like “failure to bond” were tossed around. I was sweet and compliant 99% of the time, but you had to watch out for that 1%.

          • sadoldguy

I am on the “autism spectrum”, when I was in elementary school I was labeled mentally deficient (a retard).
I get the parental disconnection / confusion / unacceptance.
Not excusing their actions, but they just weren’t equipped to deal with it.

          • greenmanTN

Trip my stubborn button and I would not/could not back down. My parents tried that “you won’t get up from the table until you clean your plate” thing on me ONCE. Even now I have to step back and have some time to think and cornering me is a really bad idea.

        • Treant

          I am afraid to ask.

Last night I had a dream wherein my mind generated a bathroom upon which sitting on the toilet caused my mind to generate faults based upon its illogical geometry, waking me.

    • Treant

If you do enter the Outer Planes, could you send back help? A few shadow creatures could come in quite handy right now. And they can be fed.

Oh, yes. They can be fed.

      • safari

I’ll pass that along should it happen again. In times of high stress I usually get the *head-splosion* types of dreams along with some type of sleep paralysis that requires me to ask “am I awake?” over and over until I actually come out of it. If I encounter a god, even a minor one, I’ll pass along your message.

        • Treant

You’re a lamb. In times of high stress, I zonk out for eight to twelve hours and have no memory of any dreams at all.

          • safari

            I envy you.

          • Treant

Since I normally sleep no more than four unbroken hours, don’t. I had my nap from 7 to 9. I’ll probably hit bed around 2 and back up no later than 6. And that’s it for Friday night…

*old man, sitting next to you on a bench*
My sleep apnea requires I be connected to a machine. I think my lungs forgot how to breathe. Yeah, hm. The apples I got at the store were overpriced and were terrible. Hm, where do you buy apples?

          • Treant

My cousins own an orchard, but the apples? They’re just not the apples I got when I was a kid. Those were some apples, let me tell you.

            Today? Bland, all of them.

          • safari

Want to bond with a person? Bitch about the Red Delicious.

            Oh, it is red.

          • Treant

But not delicious. They were actually bred for long storage life and solid flesh that doesn’t bruise as easily when shipped. Flavor was strictly fourth in line in terms of chosen characteristics.

There actually are incredible apples you can get if you’re local to an orchard and if they grow them. But they can’t be shipped.

          • safari

And tomatoes tasted better, we learned, when they had dark-green early growing on their tops and light green as shipped… lost… to genetic variety… in favor… of blah

          • Mike_in_the_Tundra

            Just buy heirloom tomatoes.

          • greenmanTN

My favorite tomato to grow is Mr Stripey, an heirloom variety. When ripe they are almost sweet, juicy and delicious. When green they are flavorful, with a slight lemony taste, great for green tomato chili or fried green tomatoes.

          • coram nobis

A wise grocer once told me how to look for apples, a simple rule: any variety but Delicious, from any state but Washington, and look for a dull finish.

I happen to like local Gravensteins, from Sebastopol (CA) area, BTW. When in season, unavailable otherwise.

          • TuuxKabin

          • M Jackson

We were in the Anglican church (St. Matthew’s Cathedral in Dallas) mainly because of the music.
My mother was a private voice teacher and had been a choir director. Our church had a paid professional choir of about 20, who did beautiful motets and plainsongs and anthems. We also had one of the great pipe organs in the state so I also heard majestic preludes by Vaughn Williams.
For years our Lessons and Carols and then Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve were broadcast live on the local ABC station, which was a thrill for me as a youngster.

    • Treant

Obviously (I do keep saying it). The only real question is what we’re going to do about it.

Hint: The fix is already in as far as Mueller is concerned as well.

      • DaddyRay

I hope Mueller has a few tricks up his sleeve to make S#!^ come raining down if they pull this

        • Treant

Doubtful, because if you’re read my stuff, I’m quite sure he’s been in on it all along.

This was to keep the rubes quiet and nothing more, until they’d secured enough power. 2018 will be the tightening down phase where the most minor disagreement will lead to expulsion from the government.

          • Tread

I really can’t afford that kind of thinking with the year I’ve had. I have to believe that there are still people in the upper echelons of government who love our country enough to try and save it from the fascists trying to destroy it.

In case anybody missed it, the following words have been banned at the CDC (wish I was making this Orwellian shit up):

    • zhera

Hopefully they’ll use those words even more now. This has Pence’s paw prints all over it.

If I remember my history classes properly, this is one of the “little” steps to building a nasty fascist society.

    • djcoastermark

I suppose, like was used in a certain book and television show, us in the LGBT community will now be referred to as “Gender Traitors”

  • SoCalGal20

There’s going to be a training call on Dec. 18 for how to respond if/when Trump fires Mueller.

  • I guess God spoke and didn’t say what Moore wanted to hear.

FUCKING LOSER! GO AWAY AND DIE!

  • SoCalGal20

Read this thread about MN state Rep Mary Franson who apparently believes it’s not her “duty” to meet those of her constituency who are Democrats and the high Dem club who’s been trying to get a meeting with her. Also, she has a challenger for her upcoming race.

      Which thread? 🙂

Generally, if you click slightly to the left of the profile pic in an embedded tweet, you’ll get taken where you need to go.

reload… the embedded tweet wasn’t there for me either until I refreshed this page.

We’re not at a full year and there’s legitimate editorial talk of a constitutional crisis with the firing of Mueller. After Jones and gerrymandering, who knows what will happen in 2018.

Easy to feel helpless – the majority of my liberal co-workers vote regularly but see little difference can be made beyond that and I’ve given up making the argument beyond that. Forget family which is hopelessly divided and I never bring the subject lest the XMas table setting catches on fire. My friends are all active as hell and I love them for it but we don’t keep in touch as much recently.

    Tired of feeling tired.

  • Friday’s_cat

Alabama won’t certify the election results until Trumpcut has been voted. I bet if Moore won he’d be in Washington today.

So I’m a fucking newbie to medicinal cannabis and a newbie to cancer. But I’m also part Jamaican through my grandma. I guess I have the genes to know when the dispensary sells me new shit. It’s like being Scots Irish and having an instinct for Whisky or being French with a sixth sense for wine. Caribbean peeps always know that cannabis has its subtleties. We can feel it in our bones.

Who the fuck knows what he calls this new Indica. I already forgot the name. All Wowie (Sativa) does is make you want to talk your ass off. This shit is worse. It’s almost time to wake up, but I’m still fucking stoned. I need it to fucking wear off if I wake up, like the Sativas.

Obsession. Hallucinations. Revelatory visions of grandeur and notes of Mild paranoia. Alice in Wonderland. Munchies. I almost demolished a whole fucking pint of Halo Top and feeling disgusted about it. I think I’m switching back to Sativa or at most, an Indica like Buffalo Soldier.

Indica feels like you’re a sleazy 1970s Barbarella trapped in the Orgasmotron with Steely Dan’s “Do It Again” playing in the background. RIP Walter Becker, but I just can’t pr0n right now. I’ve got too much work to get done this weekend.

They should just call this shit “WTF???!!!” I’m not sure if I like it or hate it. It’s not a red wine/white wine thing. It’s a Red Bull vs. chamomile tea thing. I honestly just want to sleep. I’ve got a busy day ahead tomorrow working on another fucking End of Year deadline. I am glad I don’t have to drive today. But I do have to work today so I can find time to watch the Last Jedi on Sunday.

There are ways to kill the high, or at least disrupt it. I think it’s an individual thing though, perhaps. Fear, or Adrenalin, will kill my buzz every time. Walk up to a cop and say hi while stoned, that will kill your buzz. (Don’t do that in the States, it might get you killed too. Which is bad)

      • BeaverTales

I’m black and I live in the States. If I ever want to suicide by cop, I’ll try it.

        • Karl Dubhe 2

Sorry, I shouldn’t have said that part. 🙁

The linked article had better suggestions, including a cold shower and surprisingly masturbation or sex.

          • BeaverTales

Well, pr0n does help me sleep. I guess that’s what the Internet does best. Horror flicks just make me laugh.

    • kareemachan

I don’t remember its brand name, but when the doctor was trying to figure out what the hell was going on with me, I got some candy-form pot (peach-mango flavor) for nausea after talking to the store owner about it. He recommended this kind cuz I really didn’t want to get all stoned out, just be able to eat or even smell food without feeling sick to my stomach. They really do know their stuff here in WA state, which I appreciate. I’m also using Muscle Melt on a gouty knee, which seems to be doing the trick and NOT making me feel stoned.

  • Charles Nelson

I want to investigate voter fraud against Roy Moore. I need at least a million dollars by Monday, my mortgage payment is due, and I need a new car. So please hurry in sending your donations.

  • Kevin Andrews

This disgusting, unfit for the Bench, rejected by the sane women of Alabama, continues to display all the GOTP standards of Christ-O-Fascist Missionary of Hate and GOTP howling about fraud.
Tell us all about your miss-use of money donated to your 501C3.
Tell us all about your contempt of Constitution.
Better yet, shut your bigoted mouth, concede the election and go crawl back under your Christ-O-Fascist rock.

Its time to lay it out… if you guys are not thinking about the violence that is going to be coming soon you should start thinking about it. These people are not mentally stable. They are armed to the hilt with guns and ammo. They think God or the Lord or whatever they call him is guiding them and they are on a divine mission. Its the same exact mindset that drives suicide bombers etc. These people , and remember, its about 30-40% of the country will not stop until they are dead are we are dead. Its us or them. No more elections, impeachments, investigations. Thats over. Fascist are in control and history shows all of us what has to happen next if we really are serious about taking back our country. Either that or we live with what the religious fascist give us.

  • DesertSun59

Do you all not get what’s going on yet?

Moore made a backroom deal with SOMEONE/SOME GROUP who swore to him that they’d make sure he was elected. So, his ‘voter fraud’ proclamation is pure projection. I suggest the State of AL investigate HIM and his back room deal making.

  • kareemachan

Gee, I remember when stein did this. And what happened to *that* money?

  • red-diaper-baby 1942

What would have happened last November had you-know-who lost: magnify this by a factor of 65 (the approximate multiple of the total US population compared to that of Alabama). Trump probably still wouldn’t have conceded as of now, more than a year later. We’d be having recount after recount and “fraud” investigations one after the other. The Supreme Court would have to decide, as they did disastrously in 2000, but since it would be an eight-person court, they might never reach a solution. How did we ever end up in this mess! (That’s a rhetorical question; I know how, I’m just so mad I could spit.)

  • SilasMarner

This, thing, person, whatever it is has completely gone round the bend. Institutionalize him NOW!

  • Snownova

Poor Roy, black people voting isn’t fraud, it’s just the post-civil war world. I know you’re having troubke keeping up, but try, won’t you?

  • leastyebejudged

The most scathing indictment of the people of Alabama is that Roy Moore is not in prison.

  • EDinMCO

    Immoral grifter says what?

  • Ann Kah

The “vote fraud” is scheduled for the next Alabama election. They’ll accept only the ID you can get at the drivers license bureau – and they have just closed dozens of license bureaus in areas with a high black population.

Just a few years ago they lifted the oversight of election bureaus in some states where abuses were prevalent, saying they weren’t needed any more. Well, THAT didn’t take long to be disproved. We need to have a federal election commission with good intentions and some teeth, in order to make any sort of attempt at fair elections.
