GOP Rep. Peter King: Bannon Looks Like A “Disheveled Drunk” Who Wandered Onto The Stage [VIDEO]

The Daily Beast reports:

Rep. Peter King made the cable news rounds Wednesday morning, dropping into CNN’s New Day to jab at former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon in the wake of a stunning Republican loss in Alabama by U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore. “When you lose, you blame. And Republicans are blaming former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon,” said co-host Chris Cuomo. King said of Bannon: “It’s not a political issue but a moral issue… this guy does not belong on the national stage. He looks like a drunk that wandered on to the national stage.”

Peter King doesn’t have any problem with Roy Moore and Donald Trump. If Bannon had still been in the administration, King would’ve never blamed him.

It’s simply a matter of finding a scapegoat, and Bannon sticks out like the eyesore he is.

  • Slippy_World
    • Treant

Wow, his seat is terrible. And I know nothing about horses.

Also, that horse is pissed off.

      • PickyPecker

The horse almost threw him yesterday. I got the distinct impression that either a) it was not his and he couldn’t control it OR b) he has mistreated the animal.

        • Tawreos

I have seen many people saying he wasn’t riding it properly.

          • Oscarlating Wildely

Or using the reigns or even his body position properly. Granted, I know English more than Western by far but his body position and even use of the stirrups is just not right.

          • MT YVR

Western, as I was taught it, was toes down more than English. Reigns tend to be one handed by some but it takes more skill than he’s showing. That head posture is pure “wtf are you YANKING for” with a smidge of “ok, noise. noise! NOISE!” discomfort.

Back legs are absolutely “I’m either going to bolt or kick your ass off mine, not sure which and maybe both”.

He’s a bit far back in the saddle, he’d be gone in a second. Bet you money that he tried to turn the horse and this is just as it spins on a dime to wheel rather than turn. He is either an idiot who doesn’t know how to signal or he’s incredibly heavy on them.

          • bcarter3

I think you and Oscarlating Wildely mean “reins”, not “reigns”.

“Reigns’ is something the Queen does.

          • MT YVR

Yep. One of the words I consistently fuck up.

          • Oscarlating Wildely

Yes, quite correct. Queens on my mind.

I saw that too. I am no equestrian. I have been on several cattle drives at my stepdad’s family ranch in NM. It looked like he couldn’t handle that horse at all. It was leading him, not the other way around.

          • boatboy_srq

Why are we not surprised at that?

        • Butch

The horse is near to panicking. He has no idea how to handle it.

        • JackFknTwist

I thought the wife’s horse’s knees were buckling.

        • Gregory B

How I wish the horse would have thrown him – oh well, can’t have your cake and I eat it, I’m much, much happier with the election outcome!

        • Jefe5084

I watched a video of him riding to the voting poles on that horse. My impression was–WTF? he looked out of control, like it was his first time. A cowboy-wannabe.

        • Mark

I’d say mistreated. Particularly the way his pulling on the bit. Wish the horse HAD thrown him.

        • doninkansas

          Probably both

      • Joe in PA

no shit…I got two words for you Moore: neck, reign.

            Strangely? :-p

          • Joe in PA

So it’s bannon’s fault for being a racist asshole, trump’s fault for dragging down the party, moore’s fault for molesting teens and the senate’s fault for pretty much saying they would throw him out. Oh yes, Alabama still has plenty of idiots that voted for him.

    • Lumpy Gaga

      • Jmdintpa

I heard that testimony. It’s cast iron. Mueller will not be fired by him. Trump/turd can rant and rave. He’s screwed.

Funny comment – however, soon-to-be-deckhand_srq had that exact problem with a pooch that consumed more blanket than was good for him. Pup is recovering, but with about a foot less intestine. Ouch.

          • Treant

Ow. My best to the dog!

Jasper ate everything. Small rocks. Sand. Pants you threw out. And he never had a single digestive issue in fourteen years.

          • boatboy_srq

Pup’s recovering nicely, although we now have to keep the throw rugs out of reach (along with remotes, screwdrivers and other “chewables”).

Deckhand_srq seems to be another matter: broken arm and apparently flu, and those are just the latest calamities. My Christmas may well get spent tying him to the bed – for his own good, of course…

          • Treant

Oh, naturally. My husband came down with a minor upper respiratory infection (I got sniffles and a sore throat). The things I had to do to keep him in bed…the awful, awful things. The degrading, terrible things…

“Looks like”??? He IS exactly as described – and worse. Bannon and Trump didn’t “lose” Moore’s race for him. Smart voters in Alabama, esp. women voters, WON the seat for Doug Jones by rejecting an ignorant, insane sexual predator. I think the sexual assault issue is building into a national and political juggernaut that spells real trouble for the future of the GOP and our sleazy, idiot POTUS. Women are becoming an ever-more powerful voting bloc and I think the tidal wave is rising! Bring back the Pussy Hats!!

  • joe ho

Is this the Peter King who was outraged by Obama wearing a beige suit but gives endless excuses for Trump’s barbarity?

Why does New York still have this monster in the Senate?

  • Nice to hear a Republican talking like this, albeit a change from his earlier rhetoric. Until now, I’d believed Republicans were 100% behind the bizarre monstrosity of an administration currently staining every chamber of the White House. I don’t recall having less respect for the Republican Party in over 40 years. While I mightn’t have agreed with everything John McCain stood for, I still thought he was a worthy presidential candidate, same goes for Reagan, even Mitt Romney was presidential in character. But Trump, Pence, Bannon et al? Hell No! The whole current front bench of malicious crazies? Why hasn’t the entire USA revolted against them?

    • The_Wretched

Alt-right counter reality bubble. Faux News is only part of it. ~40% of the country is living in a media scape that’s fictional. Obama even said it as “if I watched Fox News, I’d hate that Obama-guy too.”.

We used to have the ‘Fairness Doctrine’ and similar standards across the poltical aisle. Other factors included less capture of the media and politicians by the oligarchs. That allowed for accountability. We have none now for the very top or right wing bad actors ( oil pipe line protesters (no guns) vs the yall-kaida taking over the bird refuge (pointed guns at law enforcement)).
