ALABAMA: Brutal New Anti-Roy Moore Ad Campaign Asks “What If She Was YOUR Little Girl? [VIDEO]

The Washington Post reports:

Stand Up Republic, a 501(c)4 group co-founded by former independent anti-Trump presidential candidate Evan McMullin, is spending $500,000 on digital and TV ads that ask Alabama conservatives to reject Republican nominee Roy Moore’s Senate bid.

In two 30-second spots, the group presents Moore as an unacceptable choice for conservatives — but does not suggest a particular alternative. In one ad, a Republican voter named Robert du Buys works in his yard, recounts his lifetime of party-line voting, and says Moore “makes Republicans and us Christians look bad.”

In another, which resembles ads that a short-lived anti-Trump group ran during the 2016 primary, a succession of young women flash across the screen as a narrator describes allegations, first reported in The Washington Post, that Roy Moore, then in his early 30s, made unwanted sexual advances on teenage girls.

Nothing is going to stop the deplorables from electing him.

May be more than one. Was looking at art blogger/illustrator who claimed title.

    • Leo

Eh, might as well try. Scorched earth’s all that’s left at this point.

Im officially a McMuffin fanboy, btw

    • Lizard

I still have hope for him.

      • gaycuckhubby

I was hoping he would become senator in Utah

  • Boreal

McMullin is a right wing fuckstick but in this instance his ad is great. I can’t wait to see the infighting.

    • Yalma Cuder-Zicci

      I enjoy him on Twitter.

      • gaycuckhubby

        Im a fan

      • Lizard

He’s with Rick Wilson in the category of “Why the fuck are you still a Republican?” for me.

    • Treant

He’s momentarily amusing, but I’d never vote for or support him in anything.

      • Boreal

He will be attacked as a librul. Infighting is fun.

  • Lazycrockett

Well did he ask her mother’s permission first?

    • Tomcat

He meant to say he asked HIS mother first.

It’s Alabama, the entire family already fucked her.

Ah, Jane Krakowski, awesome at any age. 🙂

    • Gregory Phillips

      That’s rude

      • Boreal

        Rude how?

        • PickyPecker

Some people are rather ‘delicate’ when it comes to intra-family relations. 🙂

          • Boreal

I see, rude because it’s accurate.

          • Lizard

Hey Boreal, do you think I’ve been fucked by my family? I’m a girl from Georgia.

          • Boreal

I can’t answer that. I’ve never been to GA but I have been to Bama.

          • Lizard

No, you can’t answer it because you don’t want to look at a woman from the South that you know and repeat your offensive stereotypes to her face.

I’m disappointed, Boreal. I thought you were better than that. I thought you were a friend, but I guess I’m just another stupid hick, right?

          • Boreal

I guess you are oversensitive and if you don’t know about people making fun of southern stereotypes then you haven’t been paying attention to the many, many memes and jokes posted on this site and others. And I would have no problem joking about this to your face since it is not directed at you personally. If you are that offended then block me.

          • Lizard

No, I just usually keep my mouth shut because I know I’m outnumbered.

Implying that women in the South are repeatedly molested by family members is not a “joke.” It’s a really offensive stereotype that slanders both me and my family.

          • Boreal

I’ve posted many memes about southern stereotypes on this site. If you take them personally that says more about you than it does me. I have never attacked you or implied that you personally have ‘familial’ relations so it would seem you are looking for a fight. If as you say you consider me a friend and ally then perhaps you can point out where in my post it mentions you.

          • Lizard

Do you not realize that those southern stereotypes you speak of so flippantly implicate actual people? You mention me, a Southern woman, when you say someone shouldn’t be sorry for suggesting girls from southern red states are molested and/or raped by family members.

I’m not looking for a fight. Quite the opposite. I kept my mouth shut for a very long time. I’m not offended, not really, because ultimately your opinion impacts me not one bit. I am disappointed because, as I said, I thought you were a friend and ally, and you slander me and my family when you propogate these stereotypes.

          • Boreal

Yeah I have bigger problems than whether someone on a comment thread is upset by my posts made in humor about stereotypes.
I am going to my doctor’s in a few minutes to find out if I am okay which is way more important to me than your butthurt. Block me if you have a problem with my posts.

          • Lizard

A dismissive, defensive flounce. I see.

Your posts were not made “in humor” and you know it. You’re no better than the Republican assholes who shout “It’s just a joke!” when people are justifiably offended at their nasty tweet about so-and-so minority they think they can diss without repercussion.

But I genuinely hope your appointment goes well.

          • Deacon Phreque

Oh dear, bring up the fainting couch and the clutching pearls, somebody is offended!!

          • Lizard

            No. Disappointed. Big difference.

          • Chucktech

I would consider you a friend and an ally and I’ve been as “guilty,” if that’s the right word, as anybody on this forum of casting more than a jaundiced eye at southerners. My family is from Kentucky, I hail from Virginia, so I’m certainly tarred a bit with that brush.

But I’ve always valued your opinion and appreciate your comments, you always have an intelligent contribution to make. I hope you’ll continue to comment here.

And, BTW, in my never-too-humble opinion, while Alabama is next door to Georgia, Georgia is nowhere NEAR Alabama.

          • ChrisInKansas

Offended in a JMG comment section? Someone has super thin skin.

          • Lizard

No. Disappointed in someone I thought was a friend and ally. Big difference.

          • hdtex
          • Lizard

Not really. I’ve put up with a lot of negative comments and stereotypes about southerners. Plenty of them are true (pig-headedness, stubbornness, widespread bigotry, etc.)

So, the Republican doesn’t want to vote for Roy Moore because it will “make him look bad”. Got it.

    • gaycuckhubby

      I’m okay with that

    • kat

Yeah, Roy Moore makes Christianity look bad. And Christianity makes Christianity look bad too.

      • Todd20036

        Christians make Christianity look bad.

Hell, GOD makes Christianity look bad.

        • Really? Can you take a moment and explain what’s so harmful about these?

““You heard that it was said: ‘You must love your neighbor and hate your enemy. However, I say to you: Continue to love your enemies and to pray for those who persecute you, so that you may prove yourselves sons of your Father who is in the heavens, since he makes his sun rise on both the wicked and the good and makes it rain on both the righteous and the unrighteous. For if you love those loving you, what reward do you have?” (Matthew 5:43-46)

“But now you must put them all away from you: wrath, anger, badness, abusive speech, and obscene talk out of your mouth. Do not lie to one another. Accordingly, as God’s chosen ones, holy and loved, clothe yourselves with the tender affections of compassion, kindness, humility, mildness, and patience. Continue putting up with one another and forgiving one another freely even if anyone has a cause for complaint against another. Just as Jehovah freely forgave you, you must also do the same. But besides all these things, clothe yourselves with love, for it is a perfect bond of union.” – Colossians 3:8,9, 12-14.

“For “whoever would love life and see good days must guard his tongue from bad and his lips from speaking deception. Let him turn away from what is bad and do what is good; let him seek peace and pursue it.” -1 Peter 3:11

Wish I met more Christians who followed those verses rather than the ones that bash gay people.

          • With just a rudimentary comprehension of the Koine Greek concept of πορνεία, it’s clear what exactly is and is not normal human sexual conduct in our Creator’s sight.

Does this mean that those with homosexual or bisexual inclinations must forever be a slave to their lust? Not at all! Unlike irrational beasts, human beings are more than capable of adapting their sexual behavior and limiting it to its proper place. (Even those struggling with sexual deviations have benefited greatly from medical advances designed to help them regain their good health.)

Withal, there are many loyal to God who refuse to engage in any kind of πορνεία as can be seen here: and here: They happily prefer to remain celibate until such time as they find a fitting heterosexual partner to marry and build a natural family with, as our loving Creator originally purposed. Such ones not only enjoy the benefits of having a clean conscience but the wonderful blessings reserved for those who persist in maintaining a close, personal relationship with the Sovereign of the Universe, Jehovah God. (Psalms 83:18; Psalm 97:10; Psalm 145:20; 2 Samuel 22:26; 1 Samuel 2:9)

“Now these are the rules that you shall set before them. 2 When you buy a Hebrew slave,[a] he shall serve six years, and in the seventh he shall go out free, for nothing. 3 If he comes in single, he shall go out single; if he comes in married, then his wife shall go out with him. 4 If his master gives him a wife and she bears him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall be her master’s, and he shall go out alone. 5 But if the slave plainly says, ‘I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free,’ 6 then his master shall bring him to God, and he shall bring him to the door or the doorpost. And his master shall bore his ear through with an awl, and he shall be his slave forever.

7 “When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she shall not go out as the male slaves do. 8 If she does not please her master, who has designated her[b] for himself, then he shall let her be redeemed. He shall have no right to sell her to a foreign people, since he has broken faith with her. 9 If he designates her for his son, he shall deal with her as with a daughter. 10 If he takes another wife to himself, he shall not diminish her food, her clothing, or her marital rights. 11 And if he does not do these three things for her, she shall go out for nothing, without payment of money.

12 “Whoever strikes a man so that he dies shall be put to death. 13 But if he did not lie in wait for him, but God let him fall into his hand, then I will appoint for you a place to which he may flee. 14 But if a man willfully attacks another to kill him by cunning, you shall take him from my altar, that he may die.

15 “Whoever strikes his father or his mother shall be put to death.

16 “Whoever steals a man and sells him, and anyone found in possession of him, shall be put to death.

17 “Whoever curses[c] his father or his mother shall be put to death.

18 “When men quarrel and one strikes the other with a stone or with his fist and the man does not die but takes to his bed, 19 then if the man rises again and walks outdoors with his staff, he who struck him shall be clear; only he shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall have him thoroughly healed.

20 “When a man strikes his slave, male or female, with a rod and the slave dies under his hand, he shall be avenged. 21 But if the slave survives a day or two, he is not to be avenged, for the slave is his money.

22 “When men strive together and hit a pregnant woman, so that her children come out, but there is no harm, the one who hit her shall surely be fined, as the woman’s husband shall impose on him, and he shall pay as the judges determine. 23 But if there is harm,[d] then you shall pay life for life, 24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25 burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.

26 “When a man strikes the eye of his slave, male or female, and destroys it, he shall let the slave go free because of his eye. 27 If he knocks out the tooth of his slave, male or female, he shall let the slave go free because of his tooth.

Since you were unable to glean it on your own let me expound.

You chose random passages that make the bible look good, I chose random passages that make the bible look evil.

The bottom line is that those of us who possess empathy have no need for crusty old scripts that condone slavery and relegate women as possessions. Thru empathy we are able to know what is right and wrong by putting ourselves in the shoes of others.

            Conservatives lack empathy:

Religious people have trouble distinguishing fact from fiction:

Religion is a net negative, empathy is a much better guide. But if you’re a sociopath (conservative) then I guess it’s better than nothing, at least it’s about 45% correct, not that any conservatives actually follow the tenets of the bilebull.

          • Correct me if I’m wrong but weren’t Danton, Lenin, Sanger, Than Shwe, Stalin, Mengele, Mao, Kim Il Sung, Ceausescu, Honecker, Castro, Pol Pot, Broz Tito, Milosevic, Bonaparte and Mussolini oppressive, sadistic, democidal atheists who, collectively, murdered hundreds of millions of helpless men, women and little children?

          • Nowhereman

No–atheists do not believe in the supernatural or paranormal or fantasy to explain the real world. It’s actually a lack of belief in fairy tales. We’re not missing out on a damn thing. All humans are born atheists. You have to be carefully taught to believe in the unbelievable.

          • You’re engaging in equivocation, a dishonest rhetorical tactic. The term “Atheist” conveys much more than that. After all, what do you call someone who believes God does not nor cannot exist?

          • Amanda B. Rekendwith

…oppressive, sadistic, democidal atheists who, collectively, murdered hundreds of millions of helpless men, women and little children?
Kind of like gawd himself. So what’s your point?

          • Who has Jehovah God ever murdered?

          • TCinBerkeley

Mussolini and Bonaparte were not atheists, much as Christianists might wish it so.

As to your Dahmer quote, some of us don’t need Big Papa SkyFaerie and his hippy son and pet ghost to lead us around by the nose and threaten us in an afterlife. I like and live by “Treat others as you would be treated.” A wise fictional character (who was a hippy) said that.

          • To what fictional character are you referring to?

          • TCinBerkeley

Bless. You do obtuse really well.

          • ???

          • HaHaHa

I personally don’t believe The Big Bang Theory, it’s nonsensical. Science allows me to weigh the evidence and come to my own conclusions, religion does not give you the same ability to reason for yourself.

          • Except that our universe exists contingently otherwise it would not be 13.70 billion years old. This fact means, perforce, that the efficient cause for its existence must be a transcendent, beginningless, spaceless, immaterial, timeless, unchanging, omnipotent good personal being and this is why. <== this is a hyperlink.

          • HaHaHa

I believe the origin and age of our universe is outside the realm of our current understanding.

          • What evidence lead you to this belief?

          • HaHaHa

The historical understanding of scientific progression. I think we have a pretty firm grasp on the macroscopic world, biology and even the atomic world but we are lacking in understanding in the subatomic world. I think a lot of the current theories regarding the subatomic world will take decades if not millennia to unravel. As we delve deeper physical laws become more elusive. The human mind cannot fathom the size of our solar system or an atom let alone the universe or the subatomic world. It’s going to take a long time to bring all of the theories together in the Grand Unified Theory and that in itself may only be a stepping stone. We have a long way to go toward understanding our place in the cosmos. I applaud the theorists for our current theories but most of them will be rewritten with time, that is progress.

          • Chris

I see you’ve been using that Danton etc. quote since at least 2013. Put a new record on. As for your definition of Atheism: nope, wrong on the first line. You probably even think Genesis 1 is about creation ex nihilio. Nope.

You believe in a cosmic jewish zombie who was his own father and who sacrificed himself to himself so that if you symbolically eat his flesh and drink his blood and telepathically tell him that you want him to be your lord and master he will grant you eternal life and remove a stain on your soul that he himself put there because a rib woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magic tree.

Perhaps a little humility might be in order for someone with such batsh#t insane beliefs?

          • You have been engaging in equivocation, a dishonest rhetorical tactic. The term “Atheist” conveys much more than that. After all, what do you call someone who believes God does not nor cannot exist?

A man or a woman who acts as a medium or fortuneteller shall be put to death by stoning; they have no one but themselves to blame for their death. (Leviticus 20:27 NAB)

Whoever strikes his father or mother shall be put to death. (Exodus 21:15 NAB)

If one curses his father or mother, his lamp will go out at the coming of darkness. (Proverbs 20:20 NAB)

All who curse their father or mother must be put to death. They are guilty of a capital offense. (Leviticus 20:9 NLT)

If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife, both the man and the woman must be put to death. (Leviticus 20:10 NLT)

A priest’s daughter who loses her honor by committing fornication and thereby dishonors her father also, shall be burned to death. (Leviticus 21:9 NAB)

Whoever sacrifices to any god, except the Lord alone, shall be doomed. (Exodus 22:19 NAB)

They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. (2 Chronicles 15:12-13 NAB)

If a man still prophesies, his parents, father and mother, shall say to him, “You shall not live, because you have spoken a lie in the name of the Lord.” When he prophesies, his parents, father and mother, shall thrust him through. (Zechariah 13:3 NAB)

Suppose you hear in one of the towns the LORD your God is giving you that some worthless rabble among you have led their fellow citizens astray by encouraging them to worship foreign gods. In such cases, you must examine the facts carefully. If you find it is true and can prove that such a detestable act has occurred among you, you must attack that town and completely destroy all its inhabitants, as well as all the livestock. Then you must pile all the plunder in the middle of the street and burn it. Put the entire town to the torch as a burnt offering to the LORD your God. That town must remain a ruin forever; it may never be rebuilt. Keep none of the plunder that has been set apart for destruction. Then the LORD will turn from his fierce anger and be merciful to you. He will have compassion on you and make you a great nation, just as he solemnly promised your ancestors. “The LORD your God will be merciful only if you obey him and keep all the commands I am giving you today, doing what is pleasing to him.” (Deuteronomy 13:13-19 NLT)

But if this charge is true (that she wasn’t a virgin on her wedding night), and evidence of the girls virginity is not found, they shall bring the girl to the entrance of her fathers house and there her townsman shall stone her to death, because she committed a crime against Israel by her unchasteness in her father’s house. Thus shall you purge the evil from your midst. (Deuteronomy 22:20-21 NAB)

If your own full brother, or your son or daughter, or your beloved wife, or you intimate friend, entices you secretly to serve other gods, whom you and your fathers have not known, gods of any other nations, near at hand or far away, from one end of the earth to the other: do not yield to him or listen to him, nor look with pity upon him, to spare or shield him, but kill him. Your hand shall be the first raised to slay him; the rest of the people shall join in with you. You shall stone him to death, because he sought to lead you astray from the Lord, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that place of slavery. And all Israel, hearing of this, shall fear and never do such evil as this in your midst. (Deuteronomy 13:7-12 NAB)

Suppose a man or woman among you, in one of your towns that the LORD your God is giving you, has done evil in the sight of the LORD your God and has violated the covenant by serving other gods or by worshiping the sun, the moon, or any of the forces of heaven, which I have strictly forbidden. When you hear about it, investigate the matter thoroughly. If it is true that this detestable thing has been done in Israel, then that man or woman must be taken to the gates of the town and stoned to death. (Deuteronomy 17:2-5 NLT)

One day a man who had an Israelite mother and an Egyptian father got into a fight with one of the Israelite men. During the fight, this son of an Israelite woman blasphemed the LORD’s name. So the man was brought to Moses for judgment. His mother’s name was Shelomith. She was the daughter of Dibri of the tribe of Dan. They put the man in custody until the LORD’s will in the matter should become clear. Then the LORD said to Moses, “Take the blasphemer outside the camp, and tell all those who heard him to lay their hands on his head. Then let the entire community stone him to death. Say to the people of Israel: Those who blaspheme God will suffer the consequences of their guilt and be punished. Anyone who blasphemes the LORD’s name must be stoned to death by the whole community of Israel. Any Israelite or foreigner among you who blasphemes the LORD’s name will surely die. (Leviticus 24:10-16 NLT)

For the LORD had said to Moses, ‘Exempt the tribe of Levi from the census; do not include them when you count the rest of the Israelites. You must put the Levites in charge of the Tabernacle of the Covenant, along with its furnishings and equipment. They must carry the Tabernacle and its equipment as you travel, and they must care for it and camp around it. Whenever the Tabernacle is moved, the Levites will take it down and set it up again. Anyone else who goes too near the Tabernacle will be executed.’ (Numbers 1:48-51 NLT)

The LORD then gave these further instructions to Moses: ‘Tell the people of Israel to keep my Sabbath day, for the Sabbath is a sign of the covenant between me and you forever. It helps you to remember that I am the LORD, who makes you holy. Yes, keep the Sabbath day, for it is holy. Anyone who desecrates it must die; anyone who works on that day will be cut off from the community. Work six days only, but the seventh day must be a day of total rest. I repeat: Because the LORD considers it a holy day, anyone who works on the Sabbath must be put to death.’ (Exodus 31:12-15 NLT)

And he smote of the men of Beth-shemesh, because they had looked into the ark of Jehovah, he smote of the people seventy men, `and’ fifty thousand men; and the people mourned, because Jehovah had smitten the people with a great slaughter. And the men of Beth-shemesh said, Who is able to stand before Jehovah, this holy God? and to whom shall he go up from us? (1Samuel 6:19-20 ASV)

            Yay, scary Hebrew Bible passages!

They’re lots of fun (black comedy). But for Mainline Christians (among others—including most American Jews), they only show the starting point from where we have evolved. Conceded: you’ve evolved beyond theism, some of us still see its value (believing that the Universe is On My Side gets me through many sleepless nights). But the evolution of belief, theistic or non-theistic, is part of the COMMON story of humanity. Having those passages “in my Book” doesn’t threaten my faith in the slightest—it strengthens it.

Gotta run: Celtic Christmas Concert in just a bit. A blessed Advent and Christmas!

          • Sporkfighter

“…they only show the starting point from where we have evolved.”

How many Christians used Leviticus to argue against civil rights for gay citizens? Apparently, some people haven’t evolved from there, they’ve evolved to there, and they’ve stopped.

          • JCF

Which is why I stipulated Mainline Christians. I exclude Christianists (I thought that was understood).

          • You skipped a step. You first need to prove what actions are evil. Can you?

For the proud “Ain’t NO ONE gonna tell me HOW to live! Alabama dares defend our rights!” type making them think they’ll look bad to OTHER bible toters is a good move. They’d crawl on glass to piss of a liberal, but would rather die than be seen:

      c. Being a “bad” Xian by those other judgmental bastards.

I live in a geographically small but densely populated city that contains dozens of cultures, ethnicities, religions. It’s a far from perfect place but many came here for a better quality of life. I hear foreign languages in every neighborhood I go to. Diversity is our strength. That said, Republicans do not like our “values” and regularly and negatively attach the city’s name to “values” as though it’s a bad thing. If ever there was a diversity test tube in America it is right here.

  • I love dim sum

Moore is going to win simply because his Democratic opponent is just another Republican masquerading as a Democrat.

This has happened time and time again, when a Democrat runs on towards the right, the Republican always wins. If he were Progressive then he would actually win.

    • Lizard

I honestly don’t see how Jones is a “Republican masquerading as a Democrat.” I’ve read his issues page and he seems like a fairly mainstream Democrat.

      • billbear1961

From all I’ve heard about him, he is.

        • Lizard

I recommend his “Issues” page. He hits a couple of Republican talking points when he pontificates about how important small businesses are to the economy, but even then his solutions are progressive.

          • Lizard

-Is against Medicare for All but pro Obamacare (originally a Republican plan)

-Says he’s for a living wage but doesn’t say what rate that is, just some vague, mealy mouthed overtures that he could easily backpedal on

He’s just running on maintaining the status quo…..Well we saw how successful that was for the DNC last year.

          • Lizard

Most Democrats are pro-Obamacare. That makes him mainstream Democrat.

The ideal minimum wage is still contested. Most states say $15 is ideal, but it varies between states, so that isn’t surprising.

  • 1980Gardener

Powerful, but I doubt it will be effective.

Based upon what I’ve read, GOP voters aren’t voting for Moore because they approve of his behavior. Rather, they simply want someone who will vote their interests.

  • Unfortunately, these campaign ads won’t prompt Roy Moore’s supporters to think. If they’re going to vote for someone like him in the first place, they’re in denial. They’re behaving like cult followers, and some cult followers actually allow pedophile leaders access to their own children. It happens.

Now we’ll just have to wait and see if enough clear thinking people cast votes in Alabama on Tuesday. Outrageously bad candidates win when the more reasonable people skip the polling place.

  • fuow

The solutions is obvious – if all Democrats were to turn out, we’d prevent this child molester’s election.
But, no – it’s simply asking too much of the liberals, the leftists, the blacks and the oh-so-jaded gay and lesbian community. Why, voting for Doug Jones would be the same thing, pert’ near, as voting for Hillary.
