Jared Kushner Failed To Disclose Role At Foundation Which Funded Illegal Israeli West Bank Settlements

Newsweek reports:

Jared Kushner failed to disclose his role as a co-director of the Charles and Seryl Kushner Foundation from 2006 to 2015, a time when the group funded an Israeli settlement considered to be illegal under international law, on financial records he filed with the Office of Government Ethics earlier this year.

The latest development follows reports on Friday indicating the White House senior adviser attempted to sway a United Nations Security Council vote against an anti-settlement resolution passed just before Donald Trump took office, which condemned the structure of West Bank settlements.

The failure to disclose his role in the foundation—at a time when he was being tasked with serving as the president’s Middle East peace envoy—follows a pattern of egregious omissions that would bar any other official from continuing to serve in the West Wing, experts and officials told Newsweek.

No wonder he treated the security clearance form so flippantly. He has been failing to disclose the truth and getting away with it for a long time, probably most of his adult life.

        • TheManicMechanic

Napalmis easy to make. It’s gasoline and polystyrene. Dissolve packaging foam in gasoline, and bingo. It’s such evil stuff because it’s all the flammability of gasoline spiked with the hot, burning styrene. When the stuff hits its target, the gooey plastic sticks everywhere, and continues burning very hot. As a typical pyromaniacal kid I made a tiny batch of it, about a half pint. I put it in a metal sprayer and stayed it across a lighter and onto trees and on the ground. It was at that point in time where I really saw how horrible it was in various wars where this was used on people. The human race can really be its worst enemy.

“Israeli interviewer shreds Jared Kushner for inept Mideast team: ‘A bunch of orthodox Jews who have no idea'”

    https://www.rawstory.com/2017/12/israeli-interviewer-shreds-jared-kushner-for-inept-mideast-team-a-bunch-of-orthodox-jews-who-have-no-idea/

    • another_steve

Great interview. Thanks for posting the link.

At one point, the interviewer remarks that there’s not one “Middle East macher” in Jared’s team. This brought laughter to me. In Yiddish, a “macher” is a mover and a shaker. Someone who gets things done. Who accomplishes things.

To say that neither Jared nor the other members of his team contain a single macher is a subtle but profound insult – which I’m sure Jared picked up on.

      • Harveyrabbit

I come from a family that often spoke in Yiddish. Two of my fav insults are Gay kaken ofn yahm! (Go shit on the ocean) which besides telling someone to go take a hike is also a more subtle mocking dig at Jesus who xtians claim was able to walk on water and Alte kaker (old shitter) another way of saying old fart or old fucker.

        • another_steve

Yiddish (which linguists note reflects a strong German language influence) contains the very best curses and derogatory descriptors.

To this day, I think in English but curse in Yiddish.

          • Harveyrabbit

Heh. I only curse in Yiddish when I’m talking to my brother but not very often. I don’t speak yiddish otherwise but remember quite a few phrases from my childhood. A bissel hais (a little hot) when my grandmother would feel my forehead and say I might have a fever.. I especially liked that one when I was hoping to stay home from school. And Potch in tuchas (spank your bum) when one of my parents was warning me about something (they never really did it LOL).

          • another_steve

Lol. Yes, I too recall growing up with all those expressions spoken around me. 😉

Because I’m married to a shegetz (a very nice one though), I don’t get to speak Yiddish and am losing any proficiency I had in it.

It’s a lovely language, though. Rich. Expressive. Poetic.

The product of much human joy and much human suffering.

          • Cattleya1

‘He should only fahr geharget and lay in dreard’. My Yiddish spelling is terrible, but my Yiddish temper is quite intact.

          • another_steve

I’ve always understood “fahr geharget and lay in dreard” to mean “suffer and die.”

I defer to more Yiddish-proficient Hebes reading here, for a more accurate translation.

          • Cattleya1

I have always felt it was a more final version of ‘eat shit and die’. A curse to last beyond the grave.

It depends who has the majority of votes in Congress. The Dems get rid of people from their own party who break ethical/legal/moral rules while the GOP doesn’t.

      • David Walker

…because the GOP does not know what ethics, legalities, and morality are.

        • Oh, they do. It’s just that those traits stand directly in their way on their way to mass riches. Those traits only apply to the caring and meager whom the GOP deem as drags on elite society. When in reality, GOP elites are drags on humanity.

When I visit Jared in prison, I’ll be slipping him condoms through the Visitor Room glass.

        • Karl Dubhe II

You’ll want to contact the warden about the various possibilities involved in getting a condom to Jared while he’s in prison.

          • another_steve

Yes, well… I could present it to the warden as an “act of mercy” which I must personally execute.

            In person. In his cell.

            With no one looking.

          • FancyThat

I would imagine that once he’s incarcerated (hopefully for many years!) that there will be allot of persons trying to slip things into Jared. There’ll probably be quite a bit of trauma on his end.

          • another_steve

            Lol.

You know, FancyThat, the last time I lightly and comically alluded to prison rape, I was inundated with indignant replies accusing me of being a right-wing fascist molester of political correctness.

          • Karl Dubhe II

I wasn’t contemplating an audience, but now that you bring up the possibility…

Republicans have voted to steal from the poor and give to the rich. Trump’s lack of leadership is taking us to the brink of nuclear war. A child molester is about to be elected to the U.S. Senate. But twitter is in a football mood today. Sundays…ugh!

  • Mrs. Councillor Nugent

JMG, haven’t your subject headings: “Trump Corruption” and “Trump Lies” become oxymorons?

    • David Gervais

Not oxymoron, I would call them redundancies but think there is a more accurate term.

Can someone suggest a more suitable word?

Oxymoron: a figure of speech by which a locution produces an incongruous, seemingly self-contradictory effect, as in “cruel kindness” or “to make haste slowly.” Rhetorical oxymora (e.g., “bipartisan cooperation” or “business ethics“), on the other hand, are expressions composed of words that are not inherently mutually exclusive but express an opinion that the two cannot occur together, usually for satirical intent.

      • Gianni

        yes -Synonymous

        • David Gervais

          Thank you

    • Halou

The word you’re looking for is redundancies. Trump and corruption/lies are not contradictory, rather they are so similar that you don’t need to use both in the same phrase.

      • Mrs. Councillor Nugent

        T’anks, I needed some afternoon coffee 🙂

        • another_steve

Coffee? – or one part gin, two parts dry vermouth, three olives on a stick, stirred not shaken?

Are you confusing me with Anastasia Beaverhousen? 🙂

          • another_steve

I sense latent slut in you.

      • Gianni

They are also synonymous. Trump = corruption/Trump = lies; Corruption =Trump/Lies = Trump. Completely interchangeable words.

      • Mrs. Councillor Nugent

Wishful thinking (or delusions), would it be that Trump and Lies, Trump and Corruption, were oxymorons!

Jared is such a perfect embodiment of Trumpism, especially in relation to his “role” in the Middle East. He’s in a job that he is completely unqualified for and for which he lacks the experience or depth of knowledge to perform up to even an adequate level. His incompetence could not only spell failure in the immediate short-term but it could also mean long-term lasting damage and possibly disastrous outcomes. Information is continually coming to the surface about backroom deals, hidden agendas, possible corruption, lies, a lack of transparency, and financial corruption that indicates possible treason and an undermining of the stated objectives. And they both need to be stripped of any responsibility as soon as possible to prevent even more damage. Two peas in a pod.

  • Mike

Eventually the newsclowns and cowardly politicians will have to face the fact that Israel is at the intersection of all the circles in the Trump/Russia treason alliance and scheme to raise money to save li’l Jared’s ass. No wonder Dershowitz has been all over the media saying outlandish things defending Trump. (The more outlandish Dershowitz is, the deeper the trouble is for Israel, every time.)

How will they reconcile the mandate to never even suggest something negative about Israel, while reacting to Israel’s role in this vast international criminal enterprise? It will be fun watching them slip gears and blow gaskets trying. In the end, they’ll all blame Hillary and Obama, and the slugs will believe them, and the country will slide further down the drain.

  • JCF
