Shep Smith: Calling This “Fake News” Is A Lie [VIDEO]

Via Mediaite:

Fox News’ Shep Smith today, in reacting to the Michael Flynn plea agreement, said, “The list of people who lied is getting longer and longer.” Smith spoke with Wall Street Journal associate editor John Bussey, who agreed with Smith that there are important lingering questions about Flynn and why he lied and why President Trump gives Russia “a pass.”

Smith brought up the questions about the President’s involvement, and Bussey noted, “The FBI is looking at collusion with Russia… and possible subsequent obstruction of justice. We don’t know yet which way this is headed.” “That this is a ruse,” Smith added, “that this is fake news––is a lie.”

We used to buy one occasionally, for the laughs, when I was in college. If I remember right, columnist Ed Anger (penned by several different writers) was a forerunner to today’s RW radio/TV nutcases.

  • Jean-Marc in Canada

Sadly, the Trumpanzees will not listen, not even to their only source for “news”; thus confirming that it may be time to cut them loose. Democrats, progressives and all those who are sane need to stop trying to reason with the unreasonable. You’re never going to get those votes, so ignore them.

    • Ross

      Agreed.

It’s like arguing with a drunk. A total waste of time.

      • Jean-Marc in Canada

Thing is, if I thought there was a possibility, I’d say go for it; but it’s been years and they’ve just become more intransigent. That’s the thing about paradigm shifts, some people can’t adapt and thus, die (figuratively & literally).

Too bad some on the far left don’t.

    • Chucktech

As far as I’m concerned, as of today, anyone who still supports Donald Trump has been “cut loose” by yours, truly.

      • Jean-Marc in Canada

        As it should be.

      • MikeSEA

Me too; I’m done. There is just no excuse for such stupidity. It’s like talking to cult members, frankly.

    • Snarkaholic

True. The ones to try reasoning with are the college kiddies who voted for ILL Swine. Reminding them of the accelerating destruction of their beloved planet (not to mention their now increasingly-crushing student debt) MIGHT cause them to reconsider voting Third Party next time.

    • ian

Yes, I read an opinion piece a while ago that Dems need to stop trying to appeal to “swing voters”, or moderate republicans. There are no “swing voters” any longer, and few if any moderate republicans would cross the aisle. Those days are long gone. Dems need to motivate their base to vote. They need to get people who haven’t participated to do so. But I fear the Dem party leadership are so out of touch and lacking in ideas and imagination they’ll just continue on as always and keep loosing.

bowl, spoon, pan. its not that time consuming. What do you do microwave them? ewwww.

          • Max_1

In all honesty, I love, Love LOVE pancakes. I’ll make them on my stovetop griddle. One at a time because the griddle is literally, as big as one stovetop heater. I’ll make 6-8 medium sized @5in cir. and enjoy them about once per week. It’s getting close to that day this week…

          • Max_1

            A toaster is easier…

          • Karl Dubhe II

If you want to give yourself a heart attack, take a look at how much salt the pre-mixed/pre-made pancakes come with.

Or you could eat them and wait 30-40 years.

          • Lazycrockett

I just cant imagine that a frozen pancake would taste like anything other than cardboard.

          • Karl Dubhe II

I’ve tried them, and they don’t.

Then again, cardboard’s not that bad. 🙂

          • Max_1

Fresh cardboard… Not the store room stale cardboard box that’s seen everything from the lost and found to little sister’s dead cat taste.

          • vorpal

But that cardboard sometimes comes with those stale purple chewy things that they call blueberries that have probably never seen a plant (other than a chemical factory) in their lives.

          • Grumpy Old Man

I can’t eat those ‘popping-fresh’ pre-made, bake yourself rolls because they are too salty – most of the stuff in the pastry section is too salty.

          • CB

Only way it survives being frozen.

          • vorpal

Trust me… if it was a choice between my mom’s pancakes and a store bought abomination, the choice wouldn’t be difficult.

…which is ultimately why I taught myself how to cook.

(No offense to mom: she’s the first to admit that she despises cooking and is no good at it.)

My nephew was interviewing for a casual dining restaurant job and the company was really touting its free shift meal as one of its best benefits.

        • Max_1

For someone who’s only job is a restaurant job paying min. wage plus tips, that can add up to a large percentage of earnings saved for the year. Close to $3,500+ /yr. In many States restaraunt work pay less than min. wage to allow the tips to bring the crew person to or above min. wage. That’s just shy of $20K/yr. A free meal means saving over 15% of your annual salary.

In my line of werk… I offer free tickets to shows. Valued at @ $50/seat – max 4 seats/show = $200 of your money you didn’t have to spend to see that show. Seeing that there is at least one different show a week available to go see for about 45 weeks… (calculating…) @$9,000 of your salary I can save for you. Of course, I pay min. wage… LOL. Calculate…

          • Lazycrockett

Yeah but having worked in the service industry for years, a free meal was a given, not something that was seen as a benefit.

          • Max_1

When it’s served on clean plates… It sure is. LOL

Exactly what did Russia do? A couple weak sauce ads no Facebook? A couple fake groups? It’s not like they had bus loads of people going from polling station to polling station and voting…or having stacks of absentee ballots going to people’s houses. I’m sure many govts interfere into our elections just like we interfere into others like say Obama’s meddling into Israel’s a couple years ago against Netanyahu’s reelection bid.

All this has shown us is that the establishment and their operating arm that is the deep state FBI CIA are pissed their crony lost. Like when Kennedy beat Nixon. The cheaters got beat at their own game.

Here is some tissue and a tampon. You may go now.
