Sandy Rios On Roy Moore’s Accusers: Don’t Forget People Were Also Paid To Lie About Jesus [AUDIO]

“His opinions on marriage, the sanctity of marriage, and the rule of law and the Ten Commandments are so unpalatable to the Washington establishment. They’re revulsed by that. This is a larger issue. The focus is on Justice Moore, but really he is a proxy for all of us that are believers in Jesus. Now I’m saying in terms of the hatred and vitriol coming his way and the delight, really, in destroying him if they can.

“It’s what the darkness always does to the light. Remember that Jesus himself was accused, but he was completely innocent. Remember that they paid guards to come and lie about whether the stone was rolled away and the body was not there. This is not new.” – American Family Association radio host Sandy Rios.

    • marshlc

Yeah, that’s my response to all this, too.

I was raised by people of faith. When it became clear that their church hierarchy was corrupt, they found ways to abandon the hierarchy, they didn’t just start accepting corruption.

One of the things I’m finding most shocking about Trump’s presidency is the way professed Christians are just pretending that none of the corruption and moral decay even exists, much less matters to them. I thought more of them were sincere in their faith than appears to be the case.

      • Nowhereman

Worse, they’re conflating him with Jesus and Roy Moore as Joseph. My landlord’s are in their 70s and are very devout, old-style christians. My landlady confessed to me that for the first time in their lives, they couldn’t vote for either candidate Hillary or Trump. (I’m sure they are republicans)

    • Jesus included himself among the minorities who should not marry: religious celibates, homosexuals and eunuchs.

      Matthew 19:10-12
10 The disciples said to him, “If this is the situation between a husband and wife, it is better not to marry.”
11 Jesus replied, “Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given. 12 For there are eunuchs who were born that way, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others—and there are those who choose to live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. “…he is a proxy for all of us that are believers in Jesus.”

No, dear, he is anathema to all who believe in Jesus. And all this stink has nothing to do with whether of not he “claims” to be a Christian. It’s about pedophilia, plain and simple.

  • CB

She “validates” her claim with a story from the Gospel of Matthew, which also suggests that just at the moment Mary arrived at the tomb and earthquake happened that rolled the stone away. There is no validation of Jesus’ crucifixion in any records of the time, though that wouldn’t be likely in any event. The notion of “the stolen body” was that it was done by Jesus’ followers to confirm that he returned in three days. But all of this was written 200 years later to fulfill a political agenda and can be dimissed largely as fiction.

It’s all a bunch of unsubstantiated narrative and like all the stories uncorroborated. We do, however, know that Moore is a perv.

  • juanjo54

Did Jesus try to rape a 14 year old girl?

    • Lizard

Well, technically Jesus is both God and the son of God. Considering Mary was supposedly a young teenager at the time of her rape (because what else to do you call impregnation without permission), then…yes. He did.

I love Jesus. You are telling me I am a kiddyfucker because I love Jesus?

  • LeeCMH

Well, the Gospel of Judas, recently uncovered, tells a different story regarding the “ratting” on Jeeeeeeeeeeeesus.

According to Judas, Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesus implored Judas to contact the Romans so Jeeeeeeeeeeeesus could complete his plan.

Of course, this “book” did not make it through the Council of Nicea as many others — all the Gospels were written thirty to more than fifty years after Jeeeeeeeeeesus supposedly died, Paul, Peter, Matthew, etc, etc.

    • Phillip in L.A.

      • LeeCMH

Perhaps. I find the entire Bible to be apocryphal.

And according to the accepted gospels, Judas was payed to betrayed Jesus by pointing him out (kissing him on the cheek) to the Romans, not lying about him. (edit) And it was Peter who lied about knowing Jesus, but was not payed.

    …his opinions on marriage – don’t matter, especially when based on a cherry-picked reading of a 2,000 year-old book.

…the sanctity of marriage – is a joke. Annulments, divorces, common-law arrangements, all have done more to destroy any sanctity the institution of marriage ever possessed.

and the rule of law…when established by well-reasoned legal opinions based on precedent and the spirit of the Constitution, trump any arbitrary rules set by a mystical sky fairy “just because”.

and the Ten Commandments…are also a joke, given how often repuglicants break them. And they are just one thing our legal system is based on, so there’s nothing sacrosanct there.

And you should be careful, Ms Rios, if Judge Moore “is a proxy for all…that are believers in Jesus”, you just might find that the ugly truth of modern American Christianity is revealed.

    • shivadog

It is quite a stretch to say that our legal system is based on the Ten Commandments. Only three commandments are similar to our laws, (stealing, killing and bearing false witness) and these are illegal in every society regardless of religion. Several of the Commandments are unconstitutional, and most of them have no bearing on our legal system.

      • -M-

Funny how the ones we have laws against are ones anyone can figure out from logic that a society needs, and the rest are either irrelevant or counterproductive to achieving a just and peaceful society.

  • Kelly Lape

Comparing a child molester to Jesus. How Christian.

  • Jennifer Litton Tidd

Gosh, as a Sunday school teacher, I’m going to hit two points here. 1. Jesus was an anarchist/agitator type. The charge under Roman law was treason, and under Herodian law blasphemy against the Temple. In that time, the Romans executed any subject of the Roman Empire for treason by crucifixion. Pilate tried to help him and he refused to submit to Caesar and thus left him no choice. Jesus was not “innocent” of his crimes. This was the Roman Empire. One in modern times can certainly debate the oppressive nature of the Roman Empire, nonetheless, he was a subject of the empire who’d committed treason. 2. Jesus wasn’t down with raping children. He never mentioned it, but given his sermon telling his followers be like children, he was speaking of the innocence of children. It’s breathtaking to me how all these same people see same sexism marriage as perversion, but pedophilia? They’re all in. Weren’t these the same folks who were wildly writing segregated bathroom bills in states to protect women from other trans women from possible sexual assault? How about sexual assault by perverse doughy white GOP males? I’m a practicing weekly church attending Episcopalian and I do not approve of any form of sexual assault of anyone and anyone who does is isn’t a true follower of the same God I worship.

  • andrew

LOL. Sandy Rios obviously doesn’t believe in Jesus. She supports the divorced and remarried Trump, whom Jesus labeled an adulterer. A good thing that has come about as a result of the Trump presidency is that the right wing fundamentalists Christians have been shown to be total religious frauds. They’re clearly not interested in Jesus Christ. Their only interest is political power and money.

    • A good thing that has come about as a result of the Trump presidency is that the right wing fundamentalists Christians have been shown to be total religious frauds.

” … they paid guards to come and lie about whether the stone was rolled away and the body was not there …”

She’s making up bible verses. I do remember the accounts about the stone (passive voice) being rolled back, but I don’t remember anything in the four gospels about guards, just two men in white who were quite plain about the occupant of the tomb having walked off. Or the disciples were the ones who doubted.

You don’t have to believe the bible, but you do have to believe she’s making up stuff out of her own head.

9 When they came back from the tomb, they told all these things to the Eleven and to all the others. 10 It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the others with them who told this to the apostles. 11 But they did not believe the women, because their words seemed to them like nonsense.

And people are still lying about Jesus. They are called “preachers”

Clearly all of the botox and hair dye has crossed the blood-brain barrier (instead of just most of it).

    WDJM? Who did Jesus molest?

Now she’s comparing Jesus to Moore????? WTH … She must be getting her info from the bible (LC deliberate) that she got from another Talibangelist… you know, only $99.99 plus shipping and white jesus (LC deliberate) at no extra charge.

You would think people who demand that everyone else respect their religion wouldn’t screw it up so badly all the time. But here we are.

  • Blobby

well honey, let’s nail Roy Moore to a few 2x4s and let’s see how he does.

  • Gianni

Religiously sickened minds all think alike. More comparisons to Jesus, that should do the trick for his twisted supporters. Sandy Rios is just one more hocker of snot on that already scummy pile.

  • Nowhereman

OH stop with the buybull babble. This is 2017. The US is a secular nation. And Roy Moore is no messiah. He’s just a dirty, lying republican hypocrite. But I repeat myself.

  • Chris Bartlett

as an atheist I know the bible better than most Christian preachers (I’ve actually read it)
No, there is no place where someone bribed anyone to deny the mythical being called Jesus.

  • MoonDragon

If I remember my early upbringing in the faith, one aspired to live one’s life as Jesus would have lived it, not use Jesus to justify one’s choice of decisions. It’s not appropriate for someone to make such comparisons on behalf of another, either.

People are paid to lie about Jesus, we call them priests and shamans supported by congregations.

“It’s what the darkness always does to the light. ”
That looks to me like a Freudian slip!
Usually one thinks about light that dispells darkness.
Roy Moore is nothing but a dirty old man. And that folks, is about the size of it. Let’s see if he can win some more religious folk to save him. Or he can call out to Jesus. I’d become a believer if Jesus saved his asp.
“It’s what darkness does to the light.”
    Think about it.
