Hannity Melts Down Over Advertiser Boycott [VIDEO]

Mediaite reports:

Sean Hannity opened his show tonight with a full-scale tear against Media Matters and other liberal media figures putting pressure on his show’s advertisers in response to his coverage of Roy Moore‘s underage sex abuse scandal.

In tonight’s monologue, Hannity slammed into MMfA for being “anti-free speech,” “pro-censorship” and leading a “smear campaign” against him. Hannity connected this to the political press by raving about how anyone who doesn’t follow the line of “left wing, destroy-Trump mainstream media” will be targeted by “liberal fascism.”

  • Bambino

A pedophile enabler crying about lack of sponsorship? Wrecking my brain wondering why that is.

    • Todd20036

I know. The slogans for products jump right off the screen: BUY OUR CANDY! Makes great kid-bait. It’s Pedoriffic!

    • ZRAinSWVA

Please don’t wreck it. If you do, you won’t be able to wrack it. Or rack it. Or something…

    • Blake Jordan

I am surprised a manufacturer of “nondescript white vans” has not offered advertising for Hannity’s show…

    • Strepsi

Fer Chrissakes, I even now still see conservatives on their sites try to tar gay people as NAMBLA, and now they’re lining up to back an actual pedophile? (or ephebophile, but that word and my post is already more nuanced than their mind-bending hypocrisy and grotesquery).

  • /

How do they not get that “liberal fascism” is an oxymoron and makes no sense, like “compassionate conservatism?”

    Oxford Dictionary of English:
fascism: an authoritarian and nationalistic right-wing system of government and social organization.

    • John30013

I’m pretty sure you already know the answer to your question.

It won’t be so amusing if the courts deem that first clause correct.

    • kaydenpat

Hannity has zero problems shutting down freedom of speech for folks he deems unworthy so it’s fun to watch him cry about his free speech rights supposedly coming under fire.

    • Chucktech

It always amuses me how the Nazis don’t have Clue One about what the First Amendment does.

    • AaronD12

At the grocery store, I purchased extra Keurig coffee and hot spiced cider. Screw these guys.

    • Strepsi

Hehe that’s cute — but actually the Keurigs are so wasteful that even the INVENTOR of the K-cup (single serve coffee pod) won’t buy a Keurig because they are a plague on the environment.

” Sylvan doesn’t believe the current product design can meet that pledge.

“You can’t recycle that package, I don’t care what Green Mountain says,” Sylvan insists.

“The issue with coffee is that once it’s exposed to oxygen it starts to go bad, so you need a long shelf life for the coffee. What they typically package coffee in the stores is aluminum which is 100 per cent impervious to oxygen, so you need a plastic that approaches that capability. So [K-Cups] have a plastic packet that’s made from four different layers.”

Those four layers need to be separated in order to be recycled, which is difficult and time-consuming to do. Also, few municipalities recycle #7 plastic, which is used to create the air-tight cups.

“There’s other ways to do it, but they’re not exploring other ways to do it,” Sylvan says. “They’re going to keep making those little plastic cups forever, because they can’t think outside the box.”

“You can stick you’re head in the sand and ignore it… or you can address it from an engineering standpoint.”

  • ceeenbee

What a pathetic, whiny 😫, little puke sean has become.

  • TheGrandWazoo2

The smear campaign I’d like to see against Hannity is similar to a bug’s relationship to a windsheild.

      Nicely played.

Unlike Sean some bugs are beneficial.

  • Mark Née Fuzz

His level of anger re this issue makes me wonder if he has a pedobear costume in his closet.

  • Mr. M

Hannity is like Alex Jones. Spout off hateful rhetoric, conspiracy theories, and fake news, but when the going gets tough, he’s just a performance artist that will quickly apologize.

    • Todd20036

At least Jones was cute when he was younger.

      • Mr. M

    I’m confusicized…

“In tonight’s monologue, Hannity slammed into MMfA for being “anti-free speech,” “pro-censorship”

Do people who are censored and have their free speech taken away get to give monologues on their own shows?

    • Todd20036

He’s just running around trying to shout anything that makes him look good.

      • kareemachan

In other words, he’s a poopy head.

  • clay

How’s it “free speech” when he’s charging advertisers for it?
Let me know when a Volvo runs him over while he’s standing on a soapbox in the park.

  • CB

“Free speech” to this coterie of hacks means speech without consequences and obsequious acceptance of and reverence for anything they say. Otherwise you’re a poopy head.

    • Lars Littlefield

I am proud to be a poopy head.

  • Thorn Spike

We’re still waiting for that waterboarding, Sean.

    • Todd20036

      You have strange sexual tastes.
      No judging here, mind you.

  • Cuberly Deux

How to keep advertisers. Encourage your Nazi audience to destroy said products via posting vids on Twitter.

Reinforce the notion that if you step out of line or express displeasure with Lumpy’s crazy, you will be targeted.

So, how many advertisers are just silently dropping Lumpy. Maybe a few opting to just stay away permanently?

  • Kevin Andrews

The mental midgets that Murdoch’s professional liar’s club broadcasting system employs defines the seditious intent of the Murdoch organization that St Ronnie created in the destruction of the Fairness Doctrine. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/d3def6521a8917868b200aa95d4f487220e7a0541f862cd35fe4bc77343f1f83.png

    • ZRAinSWVA

And so it began. Throw in the internet where you can find any echo chamber of your choice, and there you go…

      • AaronD12

One of the biggest voices against the Fairness Doctrine was Dr. James Dobson, of “Focus on the Family”. You might ask, why is the leader of a ultra right-wing Christian organization interested in eliminating the need for honest, equitable, and balanced reporting. Or you already know why.

  • Mike

What a cupcake. Hannity had nothing to say about the right wing NFL boycott, I suppose. Or the continual right wing “million moms” boycotts, or Bill Donahue Catholic League boycotts, or any other examples of right wing “fascism,” as Hannity would have it, what the rest of us would call free speech.

    • Kruhn

  • Will Parkinson
    • kareemachan

Too true. I have saved it because of idiots blathering about “free speech”.

In the words from ‘The Princess Bride’, they know not what it means.

  • zhera

Can we get an ad boycott on all of Fox news, please? PLEASE?!?

I think there’s a momentum here now; if you can build on that then maybe maybe maybe Fox can get one on the nose?

    • Lars Littlefield

Many of us are working on it. 🙂

  • Dayglo

Volvo advertised on Fox News? I thought Fox only featured ads for catheters, reverse mortgages and Sock Sliders.

Fox News believes in Free Speech so much…that they will keep broadcasting Hannity even if he has no sponsors!

    • kareemachan

They believe in Free Speech so much that they’ll broadcast lie after lie after lie….

  • kareemachan

Hey, I LIKE Volvos, and the fact that they are making the right decision shows that I caN STILL like them.

  • JackFknTwist

    Hannity volatile ?
Ha ha ha ……he is totally neurotic, hysterical, bigoted and most profoundly stupid.

And he does not even understand the concept of morals.

  • Guess?

So is the NFL boycott also fascist?

  • Ninja0980

I thought Republicans were all about the free market.
Oh wait, that only applies when a minority group is being discriminated against and they tell you to go elsewhere instead of suing them.

    Hannityis an asshole

  • Jean-Marc in Canada
  • Alexander Stallwitz

Hannity is losing his shit becuase he saw what happened to his pals El Rushbo and Bilbo especally Rush. The advertiser boycott hurt Limbaugh badly, it decimated his ad revnue and he had to take ads from Gold sellers, shady PACs and snake oil salesmen to keep afloat. He also lost stations as well. Limbaugh is slowly imploding as we speak

  • fkevin

BTW, Angelo Carson provides and excellent, public Google spreadsheet with advertiser contact information: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1aew0GGo1M3adPajley3Hxy0al-lYEz5gIb42jOlN8hA/edit#gid=1086988979

FOX News’ 20 years of lies and obfuscation are finally catching up to them and hurting them in their wallets. Of course they are going to fight back (with more lies).

  • Author Randy R. Duke

So basically the videos were FUNNY huh? Any normal person wouldn’t find this funny and your advertisers such as Keurig didn’t find it funny I am sure. Your advertisers pulled out because you sided with a PEDAPHILE and shamed the Women. I would implore your other advertisers to do the same. Fox News is a fucking joke.

  • MDixon34

“Anti-free speech?” No we love free speech, it’s what gets you assholes in trouble.

  • Hannity does not understand that *advertisers* also have “freedom of speech” and “freedom of association” and if they choose to not associate themselves with a lying pedophile enabler like Hannity (and I DARE him to sue me for defamation – there is video proof of truth as an absolute defense). that is THEIR RIGHT. HAnnity’s own “freedom of speech” on his won show is limited by its acceptability to his employer – it is the government that can’t muzzle him (unless he crosses the limits on speech line, the one that Pam Geller knows more about than almost anyone).

    • Talisman

It doesn’t work that way in Hannity’s world. Free speech for me; none for thee.

      • It never ceases to amaze me that Hannity has a cushy well-paying soapbox from which to spread his disinformative propaganda.

  • SinfulJosh

Hmmmm…. only three other sites appear to share the same internet address as the angelocarusone.com domain.

This pretty much rules out that is one of those 10$/month shared hosting sites (there would be at least 100 or so, if not more, sharing the same ip under those cheap hosting plans.

One of the sites is for a christian ministry.

One is a mobile accessories company in China??

And the other is a construction company with no apparent political leanings either way.

  • popebuck1

Conservatives think of boycotts the same way they think of Christian morality – it’s a cudgel to be used against our enemies, but HOW DARE YOU apply it to US!

May the advertisers continue to pull their ads from your show, Hannity, you douchebag, and may you continue to melt down until there’s nothing left.

I’m so fucking tired of these assholes.

  • Cuberly Deux

So it seems the total # of advertisers that pulled from Lumpy is, 11. That’s a pretty impressive haul in such a short period of time.

“Sean Hannity Has Lost 11 Sponsors Since Remarks Defending Roy Moore (Update)
Hebrew National, Volvo, Hubble Contacts and Reddi Wip say they are also withdrawing ads from Fox News program”
