Anthony Weiner Reports For 21-Month Prison Sentence

ABC News reports:

Former Rep. Anthony Weiner reported to prison Monday to begin a 21-month sentence for sexting with a 15-year-old girl. Weiner is being held at the Federal Medical Center Devens in Massachusetts, a Bureau of Prisons spokesperson said.

The facility in Ayer, about 40 miles (64 kilometers) west of Boston, has over 1,000 inmates at the medical center and over 100 more at an adjacent minimum security satellite camp. It’s the same prison that once housed Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

  • Eric Lewis

Lets hope he gets bedpan duty.

  • Tomcat

I am sure he will get great treatment as a celebrity.

  • Tawreos

Why a federal medical center instead of a prison?

    • Tulle Christensen

      adjacent minimum security satellite camp

place for white collar and prisoners that need protective custody

      • Tawreos

We might have less white collar crime if they had to go to a regular prison.

        • Tulle Christensen

I agree, but as a former Rep he would be put into protective custody anyway

        • BobSF_94117

We’d have a lot less crime if all prisons were more like white-collar prisons. Our prisons produce criminals.

    • Paula
    • Tomcat

BECAUSE he has a SICKNESS. Its called treatment.

      • Robert K Wright

Sorry, he can get his “treatment” on his own dime. This is supposed to be a prison sentence for his crimes. Period. Let him get treatment when he’s out, and when he’s paying the bill. He has enough money to pay the tab himself. “Sex Addiction” is just an excuse he’s using because he has no self control. His sexting also made sure Hillary’s emails were front and center once again right before the election. If he hadn’t done that, no one would have noticed the duplicate emails on Humma’s laptop.

        • BobSF_94117

Yeah, none of that rehabilitation bs. We want them to reoffend as soon as they hit the streets when they’re let out…

          • Robert K Wright

When one can’t afford the treatment on their own, then yes, the state should pay for their therapy. But when one is a millionaire, they can pay for it themselves. Others who do this don’t get such luxurious treatment. Think about that. My opinion is based on the individual, not in regards to treatment itself.

    • The_Wretched

      Class has its privileges.

  • Lazycrockett

When Anthony first arrived on the scene, I thought there is a guy who is running for president someday.

    • MikeBx2

If he was a Republican, he’d still have a chance.

  • Tatonka

Typical. Everyone knows the kind of deviant behavior that straight people indulge in. Prison is where they belong.

    • Bambino

But the pussy grabber in chief is still at large.

      • Mikey

        For now.

  • Tomcat

Federal so he has to do 80% of time.

    • Ninja0980

      • Tomcat

Yeah, so we will see him out in 9 months?????

  • Bambino

Now he gets plenty of opportunity to expose his weiner and perhaps get it out of his system once and for all?

    • Tomcat

No young girls there so I guess NOT.

      • Bambino

I’m sure a few of the inmates who can play into his fantasy.

        • Tomcat

Or make his sickness even worst. And that is more likely.

  • Ben in Oakland

    what a shithead!

  • Ninja0980

    Pity it wasn’t longer.
People like this don’t change at all and IMO, he will get into trouble again.

  • Ross

    I don’t quite get this.

Did Weiner KNOW the girl was 15?

I mean, how can one know the age of somebody texting?

    • Tomcat

      Only hire from reputable pimps.

      • Ross

        Ahhh. Thank you.

    • Lazycrockett

I think what got him into trouble was his child being in the pic sent.

    • Robert K Wright

It doesn’t matter if he knew or not. Statutory covers it. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know their age if they are underage. But yes, he knew, and he groomed her. A true pedarest if ever there was one. She was 15. This wasn’t just an accident, he coaxed her into doing things just as anyone grooming a kid for this shit does. He belongs in prison for a lot longer. He got special treatment for sure.

“Between Feb. 17 and 23, 2016, Weiner and the teen participated in three video chat sessions on Skype, and “it was then that the minor victim made clear that she was not just a minor — she was in fact, only 15 years old,” prosecutors wrote in court papers. “That did not stop Weiner.”
Weiner, the father of a 5-year-old son, also sent an obscene message to the teen on the app Confide, “describing what he would do to her, if she were 18,” prosecutors Amanda Kramer and Stephanie Lake wrote.”

I’m not editing the post itself, but I will clarify that he is an ephebophile, not a pedarest. I’m not usually having any conversation about sex with females, sorry for the wrong word.

      • BobSF_94117

A true pedarest if ever there was one. She was 15.
        You’re contradicting yourself.

        • Robert K Wright

Yes, I used the male on male term by accident, he is a true ephebophile.

    • RoFaWh

A few years ago I responded to a Craigslist ad from a guy who claimed to be 18, and therefore legal. In my reply I stipulated that before anything else, he would have to prove his age to me, lest I fall afoul of the rigid laws about sex with the underaged.

He never got back to me.

I have an uncanny suspicion it was a cop fishing for pedos.

  • Boreal

This dirtbag goes to jail but if he were a republican he would be re-elected or promoted after saying Jeebus forgives him

    • Janice

        • Mikey

          maybe “Carlos Danger Inside”?

  • The_Wretched

As a side note, keep in mind your phones are not secure folks. That’s true even using an encryption ap. Iphones try but they are constantly fighting with the feds over it and even then, iphones can be cracked too.

  • justme

and if he’d been a republican..He could have followed other “famous” speakers into hiding their offenses..

    • William

Oscar was way better looking. I had a thing for him back in the 70’s.

  • canoebum

This is really a tragedy because Anthony Weiner was just the kind of in-your-face scrappy Democrat we needed to help keep the GOP in line. When he fucked up, he didn’t just shoot himself in the foot and humiliate his wife, the rest of us lost out too. If he had been able to keep his demons in check The Orange Menace would probably not be in the White House.

  • Jean-Marc in Canada

All you had to do was literally keep it in your pants…what a fucking waste.

  • Tiger Quinn

    He’ll be out in February.

  • Texndoc

One day the story of Anthony-Huma-Hillary will come out. The real one. And yes the stories of HIM having access to THEIR computers towards the end of the election did cost her votes. Hmmmm…..wonder if it’s in Donna’s book.

  • anne marie in philly

is he gonna show off his weiner to the inmates too?

  • I love dim sum

It’s incredibly hard to believe Hillary is pro-women’s rights when she pals around with Weiner, Weinstein, her own husband, the Saudi govt, etc……

    • Gianni

You forget, Donnie has readily associated with most of these named persons, tooooooo.

      • Cipher

Then there’s the whole matter of his pussy-grabbing, but hey, let’s blame the female candidate for having a philandering husband (her fault!), an aide with a creep for a husband (blame the wife!) and a single creepy Hollywood donor (as a democrat, no less!)… Because that’s a valid basis to judge her, as opposed to her record of accomplishments (e.g., the Children’s Health Insurance Program, a pro-life voting record, being one of the first professional women to keep her own name)?

I agree the Saudi government is horrible to women, but being a female Secretary of State and dealing with that government *as a female* is actually pretty assertive of a feminist agenda. I doubt Rex will be asked to cover his face, have to refuse and then show up to assert himself in their presence as a woman.

Her emails…. She eats children… Blah, blah, yadda, yadda.

        • Gianni

The ‘guilt by association’ judgement applies to everyone else except Donnie and whichever of his buddies is still in his favor. Donnie’s adoring supporters absolutely refuse to see beyond their gullibility and will never apply the same reasoning for judgement to him as they do to Hillary (which I cannot figure because the election is over and she’s now a private citizen). I voted for Hillary, but if she, as President, acted like Donnie is, I’d dump support for her in a New York minute.

  • narutomania

Thanks for the post, Joe. I have been waiting for this news.

Tony: get yer shit together while you’re in there.

  • HandsomeMrToad

I know someone who did some time at Ft. Devens; he got out about three years ago. Here’s what he told me:

Ft. Devens is one of the least unpleasant Federal prisons in USA, although there is no privacy there–no cells, just open cubicles with bunks in them, no doors, and walls which only go up to shoulder-height. Not good if someone in a neighboring cubicle snores at night! Also, doing laundry is a problem–the official laundry office only receives clothes during very limited times, and there are washing machines in the dorm-units but very limited, often broken, long lines. Weiner will meet many different kinds of criminals, ranging from life-termers who are getting medical treatment there to very minor offenders, and intermediate-level offenders like drug-dealers and fraudsters and money-launderers. Very few of the people in the general population there are dangerous or violent. The guards/COs are mostly pretty polite as long as you don’t cross them. If you are an incorrigible rule-breaker, they don’t send you to solitary or anything like that; they’ll do things like give you an unpleasant job like kitchen work, or, in the worst cases, transfer you to a more unpleasant prison. The library is pretty good, although a bit heavy on thrillers and mysteries, not all that strong on classics and real literature.

There are many sxx-offenders there, but mostly for having illegal images of children doing un-child-like things, not so many for actually molesting children (although the person I knew did meet one prisoner who was serving a thirty-year sentence for repeatedly raping his own five-year-old daughter. The person I knew did not try to be friends with that guy!) Sxx-offenders tend to be exclusive and stand-offish, do not readily interact much with non-sxx-offenders. The person I knew was not himself a sxx-offender–his crime had nothing to do with illegal sxx–but he was very likeable and easy to talk to, so some of the sxx-offenders opened up to him, and he did learn some things: the sxx-offenders are required to participate in something called “the program”, which includes lots of group-therapy, and also requires using the “peter-meter”, a sensor device they strap onto the inmate’s junk, which measures blood-flow and arousal. They then show the inmate pictures of children, and the inmate is supposed to train himself to resist arousal, by an act of will. I don’t know how well this works.

I had imagined that the sxx-offenders would resent having to take “the program”, but the person I knew said that they were all very grateful for it. They hoped it would enable them to live normal lives–or, less-abnormal lives–when they got out.

  • leastyebejudged

Special prisons with extra good medical care, but just for the elites.
