REPORT: Mueller Poised To Indict Flynn And Flynn Jr.

NBC News reports:

Federal investigators have gathered enough evidence to bring charges in their investigation of President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser and his son as part of the probe into Russia’s intervention in the 2016 election, according to multiple sources familiar with the investigation.

Michael T. Flynn, who was fired after just 24 days on the job, was one of the first Trump associates to come under scrutiny in the federal probe now led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller into possible collusion between Moscow and the Trump campaign.

Mueller is applying renewed pressure on Flynn following his indictment of Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, three sources familiar with the investigation told NBC News.

I can’t wait to see what the charges are, in addition to failure to register as an agent of a foreign nation.

    • Buford

I’m hope-assuming that they are similar to Manafort’s charges… that is, objective, documented evidence of violations of law not open to interpretation or subject to credibility of testimony.

      • John30013

I’m sure Mueller has his evidence sewn up tight.

and with this, we’re likely to nail Pence, so we might not have to worry about a Pence presidency

So who is next in line…Paul Ryan? I don’t think there is a worthwhile individual anywhere in the list and some are as scary as Trump

        • McSwagg

Ryan only gets the job if dRumph and twoPence go down simultaneously. If twoPence goes first, dRumph names a new VP subject to Senate approval.

    • William

I can’t wait until Flynn receives a dishonorable discharge.

      • bkmn

There should be some military charges for him too. Retired Generals are not supposed to be agents of foreign countries without getting clearance from the Pentagon.

        • William

The Pentagon has a magical ability to return any former military person to active duty and bring them to a court martial.

They want to (and are doing so) stack the courts with far right hacks who will ensure all of their right wing legislation is upheld and Democrats are at a disadvantage in elections.

        • Paul

And that even if the Dems take the government back in 2020 or 2024, the courts will just repudiate or water down anything the Dems pass.

          • Ninja0980

Sad to say but the only way to counter that is to expand the courts.
If the judges on there are going to rubberstamp everything Republicans do, then there has to be judges to counter them.

Worth mentioning it ain’t a blowjob and blue dress stain either.

      • Gretchen

At the time it seemed like a crazy overreaction to impeach over a blow job. Now that sounds like a feel good moment in presidential history compared to this.

      • 2guysnamedjoe

Right. It was about lying about a blowjob.

    • Dan M

“Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?”

Yeah no Watergate was pretty serious. It was a larger conspiracy than just petty theft, and it doesn’t reduce the significance of Mueller’s investigation to recognize that.

      • j.martindale

Nixon was caught, though, for the obstruction of justice rather than the original crime, which was charged against subordinates. While serious, to me, it come nowhere close to what happened in this instance.

To add a language (since I’m sensing you’re quite fluent in English and Norwegian…) 🙂 :

Click on the three vertical dots over on the right-hand side just below the X to close the application.

      Click on Settings.

Go all the way to the bottom and click on Advanced.

Under the Languages entry, click on Language.

      Click on Add Language.

Add English (United States) and English. The latter should be British English, but I’m not a hundred percent sure…

      Click on Spell Check.

Click the switch to the right of English (United States) to activate English spelling in addition to Norwegian.

      • Treant

*** You can also add any other languages you speak, of course. Some have spell check dictionaries, some don’t. I randomly selected Basque and noted that you can’t spell-check in Basque, but can in the Danish I chose second.

Love his voice. I never liked that so many of his songs were over-orchestrated to the point of being schmaltzy, but they kept the strings section out of Chain Gang. LIFE DURING WARTIME

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jShMQw2H2cM

Heard of a van that is loaded with weapons
Packed up and ready to go
Heard of some grave sites, out by the highway
    A place where nobody knows
The sound of gunfire, off in the distance
I’m getting used to it now
Lived in a brownstone, lived in the ghetto
I’ve lived all over this town

This ain’t no party, this ain’t no disco
    This ain’t no fooling around
No time for dancing, or lovey dovey
I ain’t got time for that now

Transmit the message, to the receiver
Hope for an answer some day
I got three passports, a couple of visas
You don’t even know my real name
High on a hillside, the trucks are loading
    Everything’s ready to roll
I sleep in the daytime, I work in the nighttime
I might not ever get home

This ain’t no party, this ain’t no disco
    This ain’t no fooling around
This ain’t no Mudd Club, or C.B.G.B
I ain’t got time for that now

Heard about Houston? Heard about Detroit?
    Heard about Pittsburgh, P. A.?
You oughta know not to stand by the window
Somebody might see you up there
I got some groceries, some peanut butter
To last a couple of days
But I ain’t got no speakers, ain’t got no
Headphones, ain’t got no records to play

Why stay in college? Why go to night school?
    Gonna be different this time
    Can’t write a letter, can’t send a postcard
I can’t write nothing at all
This ain’t no party, this ain’t no disco
    This ain’t no fooling around
I’d like to kiss you, I’d love you hold you
I ain’t got no time for that now

Trouble in transit, got through the roadblock
    We blended with the crowd
We got computer, we’re tapping phone lines
I know that that ain’t allowed
We dress like students, we dress like housewives
Or in a suit and a tie
I changed my hairstyle, so many times now
    I don’t know what I look like!
You make me shiver, I feel so tender
We make a pretty good team
Don’t get exhausted, I’ll do some driving
You ought to get you some sleep
    Get you instructions, follow directions
Then you should change your address
Maybe tomorrow, maybe the next day
    Whatever you think is best
Burned all my notebooks, what good are
Notebooks? They won’t help me survive
My chest is aching, burns like a furnace
    The burning keeps me alive
Try to stay healthy, physical fitness
Don’t want to catch no disease
Try to be careful, don’t take no chances
You better watch what you say

I was thinking once every week kind of like a reality series. Maybe Mueller could have some sort of catchphrase. I don’t know…let me think…what could it be? You’ve been voted out of society? You’re fried? You’ve been indicted? The next contestant to sit before the jury?

Help me out folks; I don’t watch much reality television unless you count the news or Food Network.

      • Tulle Christensen

The show could be called Mueller Time and when it is time for the vote Mueller could say, “And now it is Mueller Time”

Interesting article. For anyone who didn’t follow the link this may not be too noticeable but that badge is not a badge–it’s printed on the shirt.

I noticed yesterday a few kooks posting on Twitter about how Antifa chickened out. The up side is that maybe this sort of thing will eventually lead to frustration for right wing weirdos who actually want some sort of civil war from constant teases that go nowhere.

The downside is we can’t even joke about something anymore. They just run with it and when it is proven nonsense they say something else. You can’t even make a joke because they’ll make it serious and, to revisit Donna Brazile, you can’t give them “aha!” moments because that just fuels them.

  • JohnJay

What I really hope is that the whole charade of Flynn supposedly lying to Pence that he never spoke to Russia about sanctions is exposed as a full blown lie. Since Pence had said to the country that Flynn assured him he didn’t speak with Russians… and when it was discovered that he did… Pence was all “oh my… he lied to me… we have to fire this guy”. I hope we learn that Pence knew all along (like everyone else in the administration) and that he just out and out lied to the US people. Pence needs to be knocked down a few pegs, too, since he may become the president soon.

    • Hopefully pence-a-dribble will be taking a perp walk, instead of a trip into the Oval Office. I’ll be happy when every single powerful GOP is routed by Muellers investigation.

    • -M-

      So very this.

It pisses me off every time the news repeats the ‘Flynn lied to Pence’ excuse without even an allegedly. It is not an established fact that Flynn lied to Pence about this, it is an established fact that Pence, who was in charge of vetting White House staffers, must have been either complicit or criminally negligent.

While I know killing an American in America soil by foreign assassins is a big deal. I can’t help but think it’s not beyond Putin’s scheme to take out one of these indicted individuals to scare off any potential flippers to stop the exposé.

Putin took out Litvinenko on British soil and thus far has faced no public retribution.

And he did it using a nuclear weapon.

If only all Democrats were like this, we’d be in better shape.
Perriello accepted he lost the primary vote and has been fighting for Northam and other VA Democrats since then.
No purity tests or whining about this or that.
His most important goal is to ensure Republicans don’t make VA a right wing hellhole.
