Fox News Host Jeanine Pirro: Lock Hillary Up [VIDEO]

The Hill reports:

Fox News host Jeanine Pirro late Saturday said “it’s time” to put former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in jail. “It’s time, folks. It’s time to shut it down, turn the tables, and lock her up. That’s what I said. I actually said it. Lock her up,” Pirro said during her show, “Justice with Jeanine.”

Pirro’s declaration comes after The Washington Post reported last week that the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Clinton’s presidential campaign assisted funding for the research that lead to a dossier including unverified claims about President Trump.

More from ThinkProgress:

Pirro also called for the immediate firing of special counsel Robert Mueller and Rod Rosenstein, the Deputy Attorney General who appointed Mueller. She cited Mueller role as head of the FBI when the sale of Uranium One to the Russians was approved, as well as his friendship with former FBI Director James Comey.

“The special counsel’s office must be shut down,” Pirro said. According to Pirro it is “nothing more than a cabal of individuals relying on false evidence to impeach Donald Trump.” Significantly, Trump has close ties to Pirro and has used her show to deliver political messages in the past.

RELATED: In 2005 Pirro launched a short-lived US Senate challenge to Hillary, but dropped out months later when polls showed she would lose by a massive margin. The following year Pirro was the GOP nominee for New York Attorney General, losing to now-Gov. Andrew Cuomo by 20 points. During that campaign Pirro was investigated for wire-tapping her now ex-husband’s phone in an attempt to catch him committing adultery. Her husband ended up going to prison for conspiracy.

WTF for, b*tch? Funding oppo research? Don’t make me laugh.

    • Gustav2

No Republican campaign has ever paid for oppo research!

      • kaydenpat

Ironically, it was a Republican who initially paid for the dossier at issue.

        • Gustav2

Now Fox newsers are saying the original oppo research did not look at Trump actions overseas and ask Russians what he did.

The moved the goal posts, any questioning of Russians about his collusion is collusion.

Has anyone done a study on the effects botox has on the brain? All these botox barbies are loons!

    • TrueWords

It revealed that when botulinum toxin, type A (the active ingredient in Botox), was injected into one side of adult rats’ brains, minute particles of protein in the toxin were found in the other side of the brain. Tiny particles also traveled to the rats’ brains after the substance was injected into their whiskers.

    • cleos_mom

Not surprising in view of botulinum being one of the most toxic substances on the planet. There’s got to be something hinky going on in the brain of anyone who’d voluntarily have that introduced into their bod to begin with.

So, the special counsel on Republican collusion with Russia starts handing out indictments, and NOW seems like the moment to go after Hillary Clinton for funding what is referred to in the trade as opposition research, and which she doesn’t appear to have used? • Gerry Fisher

This white-hot Hillary hatred and obsessiveness is a symptom of America’s pathology.

(Jeanine, Hon, if you can get it through an investigation and grand jury, then go for it. The reason why Comey didn’t press on is because he knew there wasn’t nearly enough evidence to convince a grand jury to indict.)

    • safari

Anti-Hillary propaganda is literally a business model in the US. It’s how Kellyanne and Laura Ingrham got their start. The conservative talking heads don’t know how to do much else, and now that she won’t be running for President again they have to keep her in the news to justify their existence.

      • Gerry Fisher

I feel the truth in what you said. “Hey! It keeps working and I’m getting rich. Let’s keep going to that well, ‘cuz it ain’t dry yet.” The pathology is in how easily it’s bought and consumed by too many of our fellow citizens.

      • William

Hating Hillary is how Rush Limpdick became a millionaire. It’s a business model nowadays.

        • safari

          How is Rush still alive?

          • William

            Voodoo.

      • cleos_mom

But give the Bernsteins and their contribution some credit. They elevated that particular pathology from business model to full-blown cult.

  • marshlc

And this is the sort of thing that is destroying the US.

She’s on what most of the viewers would consider a major news network, and therefore most of the viewers don’t see any reason to believe that she’s not saying something well established and reasonably mainstream. They think that this is sane and legitimate political commentary.

Years ago, someone like her would be mailing out badly mimeographed “news sheets” and only other nutjobs would be listening to her. Everybody involved, even those who completely agreed with her, would know that this is extreme and controversial.

Now, a sizeable portion of the country is only getting their news from people like her, and not hearing a word about, oh, the kind of piece by piece bricklaying reporting that Rachel Maddow is doing. On the other hand, I listen to Maddow every day, and don’t hear much about whatever this is.

Remember when we used to say “You’re entitled to your own opinion, but not to your own facts”? It appears that what’s happening now is that the country is running on two separate streams of what they believe to be facts. You can’t run a country that way – there’s no possibility of discourse when the narratives don’t mix. When it’s not a question of disagreeing on the issues, but of not even knowing what the other side thinks the issues are.

I don’t know what the answer is, but this is the part of the current political reality that really worries me.

    • marshlc

I went to visit my old aunt and uncle yesterday. They are good and decent people, conservative minded, but not in a hateful way, just your basic small town conservatives.

They are 80 and 90 years old, don’t get out much anymore. Eyesight going, so they can’t read the paper anymore. They watch Fox News – and, here’s the thing: they’ve been watching the TV news most of their lives, and they assume that what is on the TV news is true. When someone in a nice suit with a nice haircut on their TV tells them something, they believe it, because back when they were working and getting out and about in the world and hearing all kinds of different viewpoints, what was on the TV news WAS true, for the most part, and could be believed, and they don’t understand that it’s changed.

They also don’t really understand the difference between news and commentary on TV – in the paper, back when they read the paper, commentary was on the editorial page, and everything else was news. They think that all of these discussion shows, and viewpoint shows are news. So, when all they are getting from the outside world is what Fox is telling them, it’s no surprise and not unreasonable for them to think that what this woman is saying is real, and sensible.

      • Natty Enquirer

You make a good point, although I doubt your aunt and uncle heard all kinds of different viewpoints back in their day if they were typical middle Americans. But it is true that television media have been absolved of all responsibility with the demolition of the Communications Act and have abandoned journalistic ethics in ruthless pursuit of profit.

        • marshlc

You might be right, they lived in small towns all their lives, mostly just knew other farmers. I guess what I was really trying to say in that bit was “back when they formed their worldview”. And it’s not a terrible worldview, if somewhat simplistic – work hard, pay your debts, pay your taxes, try to have a little fun, don’t be an asshole in your interactions with other people…. I doubt if the idea that following certain aspects of conservatism can lead to their votes being used to be assholes to people they’ve never met would have occurred to them, but they wouldn’t be alone in that.

Shut down the actual prosecutor’s office, and lock up someone who isn’t under investigation, and certainly hasn’t been indicted.

Uh huh. That’s how Turkey runs its courts. Now Egypt.

Back during the Whitewater investigation, Ken Starr impaneled a Grand Jury to indict the Clintons. The Grand Jury refused to return an indictment. This is despite the fact that Grand Juries will indict a ham sandwich, if the prosecutor so desires.

Not quite. A Grand Jury still has to be convinced a crime of some sort was committed. Starr could not do that.

    Mueller apparently HAS.

    • Steverino

Right-wing neofascist Republicans have succeeded in gaming the electoral process in their favor, and they are trying to game the system of justice in their favor through court-packing, but now they are impatient and want to go all the way by establishing a one-party state and abandon the rule of law and due process altogether.

This Whore is setting him up to pull off a Coup, that only a determined line in the sand from the Joint Chiefs of Staff could potentially prevent. They would have to order in Marines, Navy, Army and AirForce to put him under House Arrest, and to order Mueller to continue his investigation.

    • I’m not convinced at all that they are thinking that their heroes are going to jail, and that none of them has committed any sort of crime. To me it seems that they are just outraged that anybody would have the gall to even question anybody on the “right”. They are completely convinced that they are always right and never wrong, that they and only they are “the good guys” everybody else is the “enemy” no room for discussion. In their minds what they do is for the good of the country…even what they may see as bending the rules/laws which any sane person sees as breaking the rules and breaking the law that will benefit only a very small segment of the country.

      • JWC

And sorry that Trump and troupe will also

        • Gretchen

Serious question even if just rhetorical: If Trump or any of his immediate family is ever convicted, how would they handle security? Would they just be placed in some version of solitary confinement within the prison for their own protection?

Any JMG folks happen to have any insight into how the federal correction system works? Better yet maybe they will just all face state charges in New York. I don’t think they offer country club accommodations in state prison there.

          • JWC

when you are convicted of a crime are not most of your civil rights suspended while incarcerated?

          • Gretchen

I really don’t know. From my admittedly limited knowledge, I think that any prisoner whose safety is at elevated risk in the general population because of fame or infamy is put into some sort of administrative segregation. Of course it isn’t like they will be sent to Angola or any other maximum security facility with common murderers and rapists. They will go to some cushy club fed and play tennis in the exercise yard.

          • JWC

I believe that your rights are surrendered and you are placed under the security rules of the prision system You neither pay taxes nor vote Your food shelter and health are managed by the state. In most places you are not allowed yo profit from your ordeal in say books or movies while incarrcerated. You messed up in society so you are removed from society

“Lock her up”? For what? Whatever “investigations” persist, she hasn’t been proven guilty of anything more ominous than Aspiring While Female.

Someone really needs to explain “innocent until proven guilty” to these nutjobs.

    • Tor

      And still, she persisted.

Fox News host Jeanine Pirro late Saturday said “it’s time” to put former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in jail

Another douchebag liar from Fux. What a surprise.

  • Xiao Ai: The Social Gadfly

The thing about FOX is that it’s too much like consumer trail mix that you’d get at Walmart. Once you’ve taken out the small amount of decent pieces, all that you’re left with is a bag of mixed nuts!

Please…declare the Trump White House and Fox News as being agents for a hostile foreign government.

  • bambinoitaliano

By all means. I hope they cuffed her and lead her off to prison. Make her into Aung San Suu Kyi before she was the PM of Myanmar. The US needed a catalyst to spark a revolution that these idiotic alt righters might just help created.

  • Gigi

Lock her up for what? The Republicans have been investigating Hillary for years, at taxpayer expense and yet, they’ve not found anything to charge her with. Certainly not anything to warrant locking her up. This is America, not Russia. We don’t lock people up simply because we don’t like them. If we could there’d be more people in prison than out.

  • Xiao Ai: The Social Gadfly

    From Wikipedia:

Jeanine Ferris married Albert Pirro, a lobbyist, in 1975. The couple had a son and a daughter. In 2000, Albert Pirro was convicted of federal tax evasion and conspiracy of over $1 million,[9] which was seen as possibly hurting his wife’s legal and political career prospects.[10] The conviction was so damaging to her political career that she seriously considered resigning from her position as a state district attorney and taking a more lucrative post in the private sector.[11]

In the midst of her 2006 state attorney general campaign, Pirro revealed she was the subject of a federal investigation into whether she illegally taped her husband’s conversations to catch him committing adultery.[12] The couple announced they were separating in November 2007 and finalized their divorce in 2013.[13][14]
After her husband’s release from prison, Pirro received significant political contributions from his associates, including contractors and realtors who had done business with her husband, for her several unsuccessful attempts to hold higher office.[15]

Judge Jeanine, if Hillary is locked up, then how can you and the Trumpsters persecute her and threaten her?
Sounds like the Judge is trying hard to cover up some Trump shenanigans and divert attention from his Russian dealings. That’s what I’m seeing.

    • Faux Newz has been running arrest HRC pieces nonstop these last few weeks. They are painting Muller as a DNC hitman, who has no proof nor any creditability. Which will cause our country unlimited troubles when Muller delivers the goods on cheetolini, pence, and others in this administration. Hard core cheetolini voters will never, ever believe that cheetoman was guilty.

Send her to jail ? For what ? After over 30 years under the microscope , these people still don’t have enough evidence to justify empaneling A grand jury . I can however say that after the 30 seconds it took to read this article I do have enough evidence to say that Pirro is a dumb fucking whore . I believe I should refer to her as “DFW” in the future .

    • Gianni

DFW” – gotcha! From now on, if I have to mention her it’s DFW. Gladly!

Is she actually a member of the bar? In New York? I had no idea, I thought that was just her media nickname for herself.

  • I love dim sum

I don’t want Hillary in jail, but I do want her and her husband to disappear from public life forever, but they won’t because they are power-mad narcissists.

Even Mitt Romney had the decency to leave the public eye after he lost. Not queen diva Hillary though.

I bet she’s planning to run in 2020, which will be amusing since it will just mean more people will vote 3rd party.

    • Gianni

She’ll be too old in 2020 and she knows that running for President is a done deal for her. But do talk more to us about ‘having decency’ ’cause Donnie, who actually is the President, is so overflowing with it! The perfect example of a leader with way too much decency to hide it.

      • I love dim sum

I agree that she’ll be too old in 2020, she was too old last year too.

That won’t stop Hillary from running, bc she is a delusional narcississt.

        • Gianni

If she was too old last year, what’s your excuse for Donnie? He’s older. And he’s planning to run in 2020. Are you getting the picture here? Delusional narcissism is Donnie’s main problem; don’t waste your energy trying to project that onto Hillary.

    • StudioTodd

I’m so sick of this lie and the liars who are spreading it.

The Clintons have spent their entire lives in service to the public. Bill Clinton, after his term was over, founded an organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of people around the world (as opposed to republican ex-presidents, who leave office and do what, exactly? Make ugly art and play with their pets?).

Hillary, after the election (in which she garnered over 3 million more votes than the declared winner), has been the target of incessant attacks by the incumbent and his minions. They have not stopped using her as their whipping boy and likely never will. Instead of responding in kind, Hillary continues to behave with poise, grace and a professionalism that the current administration is incapable of even recognizing. She stepped back after the election, but continues to be forced back into the spotlight time and time again by the media and the current administration.

The Clintons have been demonized and characterized as comic book villains by conservatives and the press since, I don’t know, forever. But what have they done that is so evil that makes idiots like you demand that they give up their lifelong careers of trying to help people and hide away as if they were a Pol Pot or Stalin?

Damn you and other morons like you who continue to disparage this couple. The world would be infinitely better off is Hillary were our president. But, unfortunately, this country has elected the leader we deserve instead of the one we need.

      • I love dim sum

The world would not be better off with Hillary as President, she would have already started WW3 with Russia in her 1st month.

She has no “poise, grace or professionalism”, since she published that whiny book “What Happened” and continues to blame the entire world for her own incompetence. And that’s what she is, completely incompetent, and unpresidential acting.

“Bill Clinton, after his term was over, founded an organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of people around the world”

Yeah, ask Haiti and Guatemala how great the Clinton Foundation has been to their countries. Obviously they didn’t bribe them with millions in pay to play money, like Russia did with them.

They turned the DNC into a 2nd Republican Party, so I decided to take my vote to a 3rd party instead, and I’ll continue to do so.

        • StudioTodd

You are either a liar who is trying to deflect attention away from his poor choice during the last election or you are a complete idiot. Or, I suppose, you could be both.

Hillary Clinton would have started WW3 with Russia. You actually said that. You’re not Nostradamus, so I can only surmise that you must have heard that crap on some conservative talk radio program or Fox news and were not intelligent enough to write it off as part of the ongoing smear campaign that the right has waged against the Clintons since the 90s.

You have obviously never read Hillary Clinton’s book, because you are repeating the lie that in it she blames “the entire world” for her election loss. That is simply not true. I’ll chalk that one up to laziness on your part and more evidence of your willingness to believe what right-wing liars tell you about the Clintons.

The current occupant at the white house has done more to destroy the reputation of this country and obliterate any good will that might have remained for the U.S. than any person in the history of the United States. Even Richard Nixon did less damage to our nation’s global reputation. Trump has jeopardized our country’s relationship with longtime allies and put every citizen at risk–and he doesn’t give a single fuck. At the very least, Hillary Clinton understands diplomacy and the importance of keeping allies around the world. She knows how to behave in public and speak without insulting or alienating half the world every time she opens her mouth.

As I said, this country ended up with the leader it deserves. It took a sharp turn down a dark road and will suffer the consequences. You continue throwing away your vote on whatever 3rd. 4th or 5th rate party you care to. It will make absolutely no difference, other than putting a spotlight on your stupidity and gullibility. From reading your regurgitation of right-wing smears here, I’m pretty certain that the people around you already know this about you.

          • Maybe five or six years ago I was attempting to have an online conversation with someone similar in a way to “dim” only it was about religion not politics. I was using logic, reason and facts. He wasn’t. I decided then that it was fruitless to engage such people in dialog, so I don’t.

          • I love dim sum

The only people who made a poor choice are Hillary supporters like you, and tried to guilt people into voting for her. Well, that blew up in your face didn’t it. Serves you right really.

“She knows how to behave in public and speak without insulting or alienating half the world every time she opens her mouth.”

Wow, you come off as really brainwashed, or just a simpleton. Hillary alienated half the Democratic base last summer, when she rigged the primaries. She alienated the entire Middle East with drone strikes on Yemen, and boasting that she killed Gaddafi on TV. She alienated Russia and Eastern Europe by threatening to declare a no-fly zone around Syria, which would have escalated into war with Russia very quickly. She is an utterly incompetent buffoon when it comes to diplomacy.

You are the one who threw away your vote, since Hillary lost, not me. I’ll keep voting 3rd party since the DNC is now a 2nd branch of the Republican party, and I’ll be happy to see the DNC go the way of the Whigs over the next couple of years. You keep accusing me of being right wing, but sorry to tell you, I’m left wing and progressive.

          • StudioTodd

“[S]orry to tell you, I’m left wing and progressive.”

No, you’re willfully ignorant and and irrelevant.

  • Gianni

Oh! “LOCK HER UP” is back. Another idiot FUX News talking head. …..“The special counsel’s office must be shut down,” Pirro said….. Yeah, go ahead ‘Judge Jeanine’ and encourage Donnie to do that. He’ll really prove his innocence that way. Not to mention the national and Congressional uproar that would follow. The Federal Court system would have more lawsuits than they’d know how to handle. Trump and his asinine loyalists are SO VERY AFRAID that the complete truth is about to start being revealed.

  • Jeanine Pirro lives in a glass house. Before their 2013 divorce, she was married to Al Pirro, who himself was always shady but until he was convicted, whas thought of as having a “teflon” reputation (nothing stuck). It strains credulity to think that she did not profit from Al’s connections over the years, even though, once he was convicted, he was a liability to her political aspirations. Still, after he was released from prison, many of his “associates” gave a lot of money to her political campaigns.

Jeanine wanting to see Hillary locked up? It’s just a projection of her own shady past – if anyone should be locked up, it’s Jeanine. And she knows it. Maybe we should be calling her “Crooked Jeanine?”

Does this fool even believe her own ridiculous narrative? I can’t believe she actually graduated from law school.
