Family Research Council: Pray That God Makes Evil George Soros Kneel In Repentance Before Jesus

Well, this is subtle.

From the Family Research Council’s prayer of the day:

God, intervene! Glorify your name! Protect and preserve your people. Be a shield to them against the schemes of evil men. May your people know your blessing and provision and be fully equipped to counteract the plans of those who scheme for evil. Cause every dollar intended to harm to fail! May God arise and his enemies be scattered! May God’s people be blessed and his kingdom works prosper despite every plot to overthrow them.

May God bring this billionaire to his knees before the Lord Jesus in repentance, forgive him and all those he has used to do evil. Send us revival that will bring sinners and the faithful humbly to bow before you and confess you as Lord! Only you can save us, unite us in righteousness and heal our land. (Ex 15:13-21; Ps 11: all; 85:5-7; 133: all; Mt:13; 22:36-40; Jn 4:34-36; Lk 10:2)

  • MT YVR

They SURE do have a thing about men on their knees.

Do it here. Don’t do it there. I’m so confused…

  • Jonathan Smith
    • EdmondWherever

Ah, Adam Storke. The perfect Larry Underwood, pulled right out of my imagination.

  • Christopher
  • Jonathan Smith

but the koch brothers are just godly fine…..

  • EdmondWherever

And if God doesn’t do it….?

    • Anastasia Beaverhousen

      No one can?

  • JoeMyGod

Tony Perkins is Israel’s best friend, but yeah – they should stop being Jews and get on their knees before “Lord Jesus.”

    • another_steve

Israel-loving fundamentalist Christians are the most anti-semitic people on Planet Earth.

      • Gustav2

They only need The Temple to be rebuilt, after that eternal damnation for the whole tribe, unless you convert.

        • bzrd

lets just skip the temple and other mumbo-jumbo and get on with the rapture
          gif please

        • clay

And when you get actually historical on their ass and mention that the third temple was already built, by Herod, during the Biblical period, and their prophecy still come through . . .

“No, no, see, Solomon’s Temple doesn’t count because David was his father, so it’s still the same as the Temple that David built.”

“Then what about the one rebuilt under Ezra and Nehemiah?”

“No, no, see, that was just restoring the one that Solomon re-decorated after David built it.”

          “And the Maccabees?”

          “That’s just Popery!”

          • Which makes sense because the antichrist being talked about in John’s Revelation is Nero. Everyone seemed to know that until the mid-19th century when some fundamentalist Christians started all this end times bullshit. By the time I was a kid in the 70s it was a whole cottage industry publishing shit guessing what every new thing in culture or world events meant in terms of “Biblical prophecy”. All your predictions could be wrong (see: Pat Robertson) and it didn’t matter. People eat that shit up. And still do.

          • clay

Also, don’t dare bring up the criticism of commercialism in the 8th & 7th century prophets, Acts, Romans, and Revelation, because the invisible hand of the marketplace appears to be their God’s.

          • 2guysnamedjoe

Which one bought 2million shekels worth of office furniture for the temple? Doesn’t that count?

          • Gustav2

Don’t accuse this Lutheran Pastor’s son of Popery. Them’s fighting words!

          • cleos_mom

If they’re fundamentalist Protestants would they even know who the Maccabees were?

      • JCF

…but they hate (many actually-Christian) Palestinians even more.

        • Todd20036

They don’t really love anyone there. They treat Israel like a key that unlocks their magical Armageddon

      • gaycuckhubby

So you’ve met my parents, then?

      • Todd20036

        They don’t love Jews’

They want us to die so their white republican Jesus can come forward.

        • another_steve

If we Jews die, who’ll be left to set a lovely table and design fabulous window treatments?

I mean, the goyim better think twice about a world without Jews.

So uninspired, such a world would be.

          • clay

            Uh, gays . . . I mean girls, I mean girls! No?

          • 2guysnamedjoe

Who will be left that drümpf can trust to count his money?

          • another_steve

Lol. I like to periodically tell this story that surfaced during the campaign last year, as told by an eyewitness to the event:

Trump was walking through one of his business offices and spotted a small man wearing a yarmulke (a Jewish prayer cap) and busy at his desk, and Trump remarked to someone nearby (paraphrasing), “That’s how I like my Jews: busy with the accounting books.”

          • 2guysnamedjoe

That’s exactly the story I was thinking of.

        • kaydenpat

Exactly. In their dogma, nonrepentent Jews will all die.

      • Uncle Mark

Did you ever hear about that dreadful “Left Behind” series. It refers to the Jews as being the “Chosen Ones,” who fight valiantly, but die if they don’t accept Jeebus in the end. Those Evangelicals always seem quite content to use/enslave other people to do their dirty work; they even include it their theology/fiction.. So much for that whole “let me be an instrument of the Lord” crap they spout.

    • Lawerence Collins
  • bkmn

So is kneeling good or bad this week?

  • katkelly57

Says the evil Family Research Council man.

  • Sashineb
    • Judas Peckerwood

What a way to come out!

      • BJORN RAGNVALDR

Figures, always trying to get men on their knees. I just unzip.

    • kaydenpat

To the best of my knowledge, there’s never been a flood in San Francisco or Hollywood. Interesting.

    • Uncle Mark

DAMN…I’m all confused now. Are we supposed to stand for Jesus & kneel for the flag, or the other way around?

      • Only kneel for jesus if he’s hard.

    • edrex

      drama queen.

    • Dan Patterson

I never tire of John Shore’s diatribe about Miss Tonette. Shore is a REAL Christian, by the way. Here it is:

As in all things ‘right wing projection’….hopefully, the Family Research Council will:

May God bring ‘the Family Research Council’ to its knees before the Lord Jesus in
repentance, forgive them and all those they have used to do evil. Send us
revival that will bring sinners and the faithful humbly to bow before
you and confess you as Lord! Only you can save us, unite us in
    righteousness and heal our land.

There…back at you Family Research Council who supports the self-proclaimed sexual predator.

  • Chucktech

Toni, there’s no such thing as god up in heaven, so jesus is nothing more than a dead, colossal hoax.

  • Gretchen

You would think from all the wailing and gnashing of teeth they do about Soros that he lived in Mount Doom and had a really shiny gold ring.

    • Jonathan Smith

well, i am sure he has the ring……..

      • Gretchen

But does he have THE ring?

    • boatboy_srq

Not to mention nine Nazgul and an endless supply of orcs.

Are we sure he’s not talking about Trump, by mistake (of course)?

I think Trumpy needs Gawd’s forgiveness far more than any other billionaire that comes to mind.

    Perkins can kneel before Zod.

  • Disqusdmnj

I love how they have to remind their invisible sky daddy of all the regulations, like they’re municipality policies.

  • boatboy_srq

That Soros must have ten Brazilian dollars: he finds every Dem campaign, right down to school boards and county commissioners; he buys all the voting machines and hites all the programmers to fix the votes; he publishes tens of thousands of hours of liebrul programming every year; he hires all the actors for all the false flag shootings/bombings and then pays the journalists to blame the events on the fascists; and he pays all the godless scientists to write and puvlish all the heliocentric, climate change, evolution and ethnic studies.

    /s

Do these people hear themselves? To achieve all the things they blame Soros for he would have to have wealth greater than the GDP of Germany, France and Japan combined.

    • Jonathan Smith

      or the koch brothers

      • boatboy_srq

One of the reasons they don’t have a problem with the Kochs is they think Soros has 50x the wealth of those two.

No, they AREN’T very good at math. They can’t even count loaves and fishes.

Just think what’s coming as the entire federal judiciary is being packed with Tony-friendly, anti-gay religious nut case judges who will serve for 30 to 40 years.

The unemployment rate nationally is as low as it is going to low, and it is 3.7 percent in Virginia, thanks to the democratic leadership and the Obama legacy.

Rural areas will never see jobs from 50 years ago come back, newer, cleaner, and competitive industries will have to come back into those areas, for there to be any chance in those areas.

And also the fact that urban areas will see more growth and development compared to rural areas because more people are moving towards the urban centers for jobs, and people are leaving the rural areas for the city.

    • Yeah, my state is really a shit-hole in terms of economic growth and employment these days.

All the big tech companies we once attracted to Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Rio Rancho are laying off employees and shutting down. HP, Intel, you name it.

Plus the federally-run Sandia National Labs is only a hollow shell of the technology research powerhouse it once was. Due entirely to Republican budget cuts.

I’m reminded of abortion clinic workers who talk about how even some of those protestors who scream at them secretly sneak in to use their services.

        • Lazycrockett

Totally agree. When it comes down to it, almost every woman knows that its not bout the fetus its bout having the right to control your own body.

Even some of the women publicly flapping their gums in favor of the Republic of Gilead usually have four or less and that’s NOT going to happen w/o birth control or the sperm going in some other orifice. I wonder if it’s going to take being told to pump out a dozen kids willy nilly to make them give a damn.

Part of me hopes that the little bubblehead who, during the 2008 election, announced that feminism was a dinosaur, because “all the battles have been won.” How’s that workin’ for ya, honey?

OS: women of childbearing age need to learn how to cultivate tansy and pennyroyal; herbal abortions typically work only in the very early stages.

      • Skeptical_Inquirer

I heard there was herbal abortifacients but never heard of the exact recipe.

        • cleos_mom

There are several, but tansy, pennyroyal and blue cohosh are the most well-known. You basically make a strong tea and drink it several times a day. There are a number of websites where you can look up doses and safety instructions (e.g., don’t take vitamin C the same day as tansy). They’re effective only very early in the pregnancy; 7 weeks is probably the upper limit. Midwives used to have these herbs as a standard part of the kit to induce labor but I don’t know exactly how they were used.

It’s vitally important to use only the leaf form of the herb. Both tansy and pennyroyal have a secondary use — they’re very effective insect repellants. Flies appear to dislike tansy in particular; once on a vacation in northern Minnesota I noticed that it was often planted around fish cleaning shacks. Herbal stores have essential tansy and pennyroyal oils to use in making these preparations and you should see signs posted warning not to use the oils internally; they’re much too concentrated.

          • Skeptical_Inquirer

It may be that those 3 plants will be in heavy demand for gardens in the future. 7 weeks is pretty short notice, I think most women would have to think, “It’s been late a week, I better brew just in case.”

OT: And the bedroom closet storage bins. I’ve piled up the old stuff (anything without a label is designed for our consumption), which I’m not really supposed to do, but it’s really fine if the soap is older than one year.

Runs from this year are laid out “Stonehenge Style,” atop each other to allow air to penetrate but also conserve some space. There’s a fourth tray up on the closet shelf, about half full, to accept the ones still coming. I’m going to have overflow from that one that remains on the drying racks, which is fine.

Is there any way you could come to beautiful Albuquerque where I can wine and dine you and take you to soak in beautiful hot springs in the mountains and you could perhaps organize the four cardboard boxes of memorabilia that are still standing around in my front room after eight months?

      • Treant

Ha! I said I was busy, not that I was particularly organized. 🙂 I have a bag full of random electronics bits that “might be useful someday.”

        • MaryJOGrady

My offer stands. Judging by the photos you definitely put me in deep shade when it comes to organization.

Maybe it’s his second thoughts about Trump.

    • Trump’s giving him everything he wants — except repeal of the Establishment Clause.

  • Cuberly Deux

Sorry but, The Orville Ep. 7 is freakin genius.

    • Lazycrockett

K I am only 5 minutes in and the concept seems very topical. Im curious if they have the balls to pull it off or not.

      • Cuberly Deux

        Ha!

        I’m about 15min in…lol…

        • Lazycrockett

NEVER dry hump a statue on an alien planet.

          • Lazycrockett

TNG would have done more research about the culture before putting these people on the ground, just saying.

          • Lazycrockett

Oh and so much for “not leaving a man behind” go Orville.

          • Cuberly Deux

Your geek cred is more than affirmed with that statement..lol…

“Louis isn’t exactly the type to hump a statue.”

            NOT Brannon Braga.

This show is really like trash dumpster star trek.

          • Cuberly Deux

            lol…I think that’s the idea.

            Well they fucked that up.

But God bless the Libertarian (I-am-not-my-brother’s-keeper) Koch Brothers who want to take away healthcare from the poor, destroy the environment, curtail voting rights and give themselves huge tax cuts. Evangelicals are so dumb.

OT but maybe not: A lot of women got scammed by a MLM scheme by Lularoe. I honestly think there needs to be way more of a crackdown on multi-level marketing. Though I do think to myself, “Those clothes in the pictures look terrible. How are you going to sell thousand of dollars of that?”

    https://www.buzzfeed.com/stephaniemcneal/lularoe-class-actions?utm_term=.atM3X36nq#.ljGeAex8Z

I think this religion thing is a lot like MLM. You see someone like Tony doing great and think if I bought into this, I too could be on TV and reap lots of money but the worshipper is more like the broke person left in debt.

    • JCF

Lularoe? O_o Ah, the things I miss by being butch….

      • greenmanTN

You missed, I say escaped. That exaggerated girly girl shit drives me nuts.

    • Treant

Oh, lordy. Miss Frizzle from The Magic Schoolbus wore better patterns.

The silliness is overwhelming. Tony, get a fucking life, will ya? Try a REAL job for once.

sounds like Tony has some anger issues. I would like to remind him of verse Romans 12:19
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath; for it is written: “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.”

Or something else that doesn’t fit Perkins’ idea of “Christianity”?

I would pray that ‘god’ calls you home soon, Tony PerKKKins. But I don’t pray and know it’s literally the same as doing absolutely nothing, unlike you, who believes you have some magical ability to make things happen by talking to your sky fairy. Go away, you fraud.
