Ted Cruz “Certainly Hopes” Trump Allows Release Of CIA’s JFK Files (That MIGHT Clear His Father) [VIDEO]

This afternoon TMZ briefly collared Ted Cruz outside an airport terminal:

Cruz says he really hopes President Trump releases ALL of the secret JFK assassination files — so everyone can see once and for all if his father was REALLY involved in the plot.

President Trump himself has previously suggested Ted’s dad Rafael had some sort of role in the killing — saying, “His father was with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Oswald being, you know, shot.”

It appeared Trump was referencing a National Enquirer article that featured a photo of Oswald handing out pro-Castro pamphlets with another man it claimed to be Rafael Cruz.

this Turd has such a whiny mouth and eyes

    • Todd20036

Which is great if that turns you on…

      • JWC

that misable turd turns me right off

      • FAEN

Ok ewww! No one is turned on by Ted.

        • Todd20036

I know. Even his own daughter won’t tolerate a hug from him.

          • FAEN

Right? That video simultaneously made me laugh and terrified me.

      • JWC

he always has that expression that he just crapped his pants

  • Lazycrockett

Now Drumpf will stop the info from being released just to spite Cruz.

    • Todd20036

This one time, I’m ok with Trump doing that.

  • Michael R

    Zodiac Killer says what ?

    • FAEN

Ok I can’t top that lol.

      We have a winner 😉

      Very nice…lol

You’re not supposed to lick it

      • pj

        i encourage you.

        • clay

You’re not Ted Cruz (I think).

  • 2patricius2

“so everyone can see once and for all if his father was REALLY involved in the plot”?

Does that mean he is not sure whether his father was involved or not?

    • djcoastermark

Hey, donnie tweeted that elder Cruz was involved, and you know the t rumpers claim he’s never wrong. Might be the only time I am willing to help spread that rumor.

    • lymis

Apparently, we’re left to believe that there’s a possibility that the government investigation turned up co-conspirators, but since the documents were classified, nobody, you know, arrested them.

  • Pollos Hermanos

The JFK files should distract the country for at least a week.

    • Michael R

After that it’s nukes all the way down .

    • Willys41

Why would it distract anybody when virtually no one is going to read anything that gets released?

  • JWC

thank Ceerist ther is Rachel tonight

  • Rocco

    Lol

  • Johnny Wyeknot

How will we know whether the CIA’s JFK files are FAKE?

    • Todd20036

Which is why this won’t assuage the conspiracy theorists.

      • FAEN

Nothing ever does. It’s pointless having a conversation with them.

        • Todd20036

It’s the same as with the trolls who claim Trump is never wrong, that Clinton is thoroughly corrupted even though Trump does the exact things that they merely accuse Hillary of doing.

          I block them.

          • FAEN

I take it you’ve blocked Lawrence.

      • LaChatSayWha

This is the worst possible time for the JFK files to appear. In this climate of unending lies, we’ll have no context for establishing what happened. And it was a very important moment in our history when, whether they actually carried out the crime or not, reactionary forces conspired to remove a President who threatened their hegemony.

So here we are, 60 years later, living in a nation taken over by some of the same forces (John Birchers, white supremacists, etc.), with a loud-mouthed pawn in the White House whose greatest achievement has been his successful attacks on truth and free speech. The right-wing media juggernaut is going to deploy all its forces to support Dump’s attempts to use JFK’s assassination in his war on truth and democracy.

  • Cuberly Deux
  • greenmanTN

Yeah, it’s a distraction, but the CIA doesn’t want it released, which makes me think it really needs to be. Who knows what fuckery they were up to? For god’s sake, get it out there and get it over with!

OT: Why do people travel to Dubai? I’m not saying this man deserved this hell, far from it. I’m just saying why would anyone think of going there to begin with.

“He patted a man’s butt in Dubai and faced months in prison – until a royal pardon freed him”

    • jerry

      Dubai some oil? (ba-dum-dum)

    • Natty Enquirer

He “apologetically” patted a strange man on the butt in a bar? Something about the story doesn’t add up.

      • fuzzybits

Maybe it was the wrong guy.

    • LaChatSayWha

Dubai is a pretty cosmopolitan capitalist ‘paradise.’ Lots and lots of contractors from all over the world are away from home and looking for distractions from their day jobs piling up that filthy lucre. I can understand how someone might forget that they need to be on guard there. It’s kind of like a businessman’s Vegas.

Some people forget that we are never really safe in many places. Too bad for the guy. Maybe he can play it off as a no-homo jock pat. 🙄

  • SoCalGal20

OT but if anybody saw the harrassment story on another Hollywood douchebag, James Toback, there’s an update. And, no, that’s not a typo.

    • Cuberly Deux

      Yikes!

I looked at his IMDB page & his works. Lots of macho-themed films in his arsenal. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. Compensating?

      Bleh!

    • CottonBlimp

Lord, he looks like the sort of person who stars in anti-feminism youtube videos on the side.

    • LaChatSayWha

There’s a link in the LATimes article to a really repulsive account of Toback’s nasty and extensive harassment history published by SPY in 1989:

      http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/la-et-entertainment-news-updates-james-toback-assault-allegations-go-as-1508709989-htmlstory.html

It’s depressing to read a 30 year old article that could be written today. Just a reminder of how far we haven’t come in many areas.

I also love reading old magazines for the design and for a chance to view in context on an era that I lived through. This issue of SPY is particularly rewarding in both areas. Coincidentally, the short-fingered vulgarian shows up several times in the issue, acting the same old fool he is now.

  • So is this story to be this week’s pointless distraction from the fact the nation’s president is a corrupt, thieving, sexually perverted traitor?

Or the fact that hurricane victims in Texas, Florida, USVI and Puerto Rico are now all saying FEMA has basically bailed on them?

Or the fact that millions of children covered through the CHIP program are going to start losing their health insurance beginning next week?

Or the fact that Trumpers are openly behaving like Nazi brownshirts and nobody’s stopping them?

Or the fact that millions of otherwise decent people are being rounded up by ICE and deported by the truckload, even if they’ve been deemed no threat to anyone, and foreign citizen tourists are being advised by their own governments not to visit America because it’s no longer safe for them to do so?

Or the fact that Trump’s installed monsters in every agency are implementing the most vicious policies possible, like DeVos looking to kick disabled kids out of public school while simultaneously making campus rapes harder to prosecute and slashing the federal education budget?

Or the fact that REPUBLICAN BLOODGOBLINS are trying simultaneously to slash 100s of billions from Medicare, over a trillion from Medicaid, and pass a massive tax cut which only millionaires will benefit from…even as they’re considering another run at repealing ACA?

Or the fact that a malignant narcissistic sociopathic President is clearly itching to start a nuclear war in Asia?

Is this the fucking goddamned distraction story for this week? Really?

Yeah, I’m at the end of my rope.

    • djcoastermark

None of that matters. What matters is that that widow and Florida congressperson dared refute t rump. /s The sad thing is that so many local commenters (trolls) on websites are focusing only on that.

      • Yeah, even more vile is the fact Trump’s monster-goons are now going after Ms. Johnson for failing to “appreciate” Donald’s lame-ass empathy-devoid phone call where he didn’t even remember her or her husband’s names.

        • Ninja0980

Yeah well, Trump didn’t “allow” the FBI files going public and he can’t stop it. They are being released on schedule per a law passed in 1992

    • Jean-Marc in Canada

True, but you can bet the Trump machine will do all they can to turn this into spin with a hefty bait and switch to distract people. It’s what they do.

    • thatotherjean

Actually, he could have stopped it; but since he didn’t, he’s taking credit for it. Of course he is.

“…they might scream banana, banana, banana…” Well, if they would quit having Kellyanne Conway and Jeffrey Lord as guests, there would be less bananas.

      • BJORN RAGNVALDR

I read lesbianannas, I need to go to bed.

    • CNN anchor: “And here to discuss the matter is one person who believes an apple is an apple, one expert who disputes the existence of apples, and a Banana Truther who says they have documented proof the apple really is a banana that was born in Kenya. I’ll set up a question, and then let my guests scream at each other for the next nineteen minutes until it’s time for a commercial break.”

Commercial break: “The Democrats are LYING to you about apples, trying to pass off bananas as apples. Apples go into apple pie. Have you ever had an all-American apple pie made with bananas? Of course not. And neither has our amazing leader, President Donald J Trump. Who enjoys TWO scoops of all-American ice cream with his apple pie. Why do Democrats hate America? (…this ad paid for by the Boris Badenov GOP Advancement Fund for American Patriots Only…)

CNN anchor: “And we’re back. Added to our panel is Barney Frank, former Representative from Massachusetts, Kellyanne Conway to present the White House position on the apples vs bananas debate, and Phil Robertson from Duck Dynasty who suggests women should be barefoot, pregnant, and in the kitchen making apple pies. The screaming will begin…now.”

    • BobSF_94117

Nice ad. Coming from CNN, it is, of course, meant as irony.

  • Ray Page

Anyone who’s ever read the “Warren Commission” report on the JFK assassination knows that truth was never the objective of the investigation.

Never the less Donny Dollhands is only using this release as a shiny object.

    • jerry

And in the 1970s, the Congressional investigation did label it a conspiracy before the investigation was quickly shut down, on the basis that at least 10 shots were heard in a police recording.

      • stevenj

I think the police recording was eventually discredited by the Academy of Sciences as sounds of copying, scratches (it was on a Dictabelt) but the experts seem to date undecided. It is all the witnesses who have been found since 1963, over 60 of them, who were front and center at the assassination site that provided the best evidence of more than one shooter (and shots fired from the grassy knoll and also bushes next to an overpass – from 2 different directions). Researchers like Kenneth Marrs and Anthony Summers tracked the witnesses down in the 70s and 80’s and interviewed them. Many of them were never questioned by the Dallas police or the FBI, never interviewed by the Warren Commission and if they were, some of their testimony was changed (including the woman whose camera was taken from her and led away instantly (she was on the left hand side of Kennedy’s limo right at the curb). All of their stories are in Marrs book Crossfire and Summers book Conspiracy.

Same issue with college-aged sexual assaults.
The simplest statistical explanation– sexual assault and harassment is a behavior practiced by less than 10% of men, but those are seriously repeat offenders.

      • JWC

I still maitain that sexual harassment or just harassment usually refers to females but its not an excliusive domain nor ever has been

    • Gianni

Or the guys support them. Look at the mutual admiration between Trump and O’Reilly. Donnie actually said he didn’t see how Bill O. did anything wrong.

    • Willys41

      Strange? I wouldn’t say that.

      1) A lot of men are probably blind to some of what women consider to be harassment.
      2) A lot of harassers are probably smart enough to perpetrate their worst offenses when there are no other witnesses around.

TRUMP HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE RELEASE, FOOL!
The 1992 law said they were to be released now. The only thing Trump can do is BLOCK the release, but instead he takes the credit for it! sheeesshhh….

  • Willys41

BTW, the decision to release stuff? See the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act of 1992:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/President_John_F._Kennedy_Assassination_Records_Collection_Act_of_1992

  • David Walker

The fucking moron (45, lest there be any confusion in this story) has nothing to do with the release of the documents. They were sealed until the upcoming date. Although everything needs to be about it, 45 doesn’t have shit to do with it.

  • DrRobY

You know Trump has this annoying habit of making disgusting people sympathetic. What Trump did to Heidi Cruz and to Ted Cruz’s father made me feel bad for Ted Cruz, and I hate Ted Cruz. (Trump also made me feel this way towards Jeff Sessions, Mitch McConnell, hell even Iran.) Trump is just disgusting and evil and all things rotten.

    • Reality.Bites

All sympathy vanished with the endorsement.

From a certain vantage point, Trump didn’t do enough to Cruz. Some people still think he has a spine.

To mix campaign memes, Trump could have shot Cruz’s father and wive on Fifth Avenue and Cruz still would have endorsed him.

      • DrRobY

I agree with everything you said. I really hate myself about having a microscopic speck of sympathy for these horrible people (Cruz, Sessions, etc.). I will attribute that sympathy to being human and recognizing that what Trump is doing is simply non-human.

  • ted-

I’d rather he release his taxes for the past 8 years
