Roy Moore’s Hate Group Took Donation From Nazis

The Huffington Post reports:

In 2005, the foundation run by Judge Roy Moore, now the Republican nominee for a Senate seat in Alabama, accepted a $1,000 donation from a group founded by Willis Carto, a white supremacist, Nazi supporter and World War II vet who famously said he regretted fighting for the U.S instead of Germany.

The Foundation to Defend the First Amendment is one of several nonprofit groups Carto used to shuffle money around to his anti-Semitic and racist conspiracy publications, to fund Holocaust deniers, and, apparently, to donate to Moore’s nonprofit.

The Carto-founded group touts its support for Moore and his Foundation for Moral Law on its web site. The contribution to Moore’s group stands out as one of just a handful it has made to organizations not explicitly involved in Holocaust denial.

As I’ve reported a number of times, Moore is also closely affiliated with the racist League Of The South.

    You mean, the GOP?

    (rimshot)

I’m here all week, folks. Tip your bartenders and servers.

  • Blake J Butler

Social media is such a bitch, and dumb fucks dumb enough to think that no one wouldn’t find out who they are or where they go to high school at.

And don’t think universities won’t look at this shit. Dumb fucks.

    • HZ81

Wow. You hope the next generation is going to be better than the previous, but…

    • CB

This should be broadcast to everyone.

      • Blake J Butler

They are fucking cowards too, this is in Utah, Weber Highschool, a school district that is 87 percent white.

They wouldn’t try that shit in a school district with a hell of a lot more black students i can guarantee that, especially doing a snapchat video in the comfort of a car spouting a racial epithet to upload to instagram.

        • CB

And I feel physically ill when I see this kind of thing. I don’t know whether to be angry or cry or rage at the monsters who raised these monsters. They are NOT innocent. They are old enough to know what they’re doing.

        • Rambie

The entire state is mostly white

    • Michael R

Apparently this is played backwards , waiting for the excuse
that they were ” tricked ” , or were they thinking this is clever ?

    • Bluto

Expect a tearful reply next week on how they’ve been taken out of context, unfairly portrayed by the fake media & persecuted cuz they ain’t racist.

      • Blake J Butler

I’m not buying white privilege excuses from these dumb bitches.

Actions have consequences, suspension from the cheer squad is a first, possibly removal or suspension from school.

This age of ignorance shit is not working for me, no sympathy, no excuses. They knew what they did, they just didn’t give a fuck.

        • Bluto

Neither am I but we know their defense is coming from people who think this outrage is hilarious.

      • JT

Expect a tearful reply next week on how they’ve been taken out of context

“We’re sorry you saw this. It was only meant for a white audience!”

        • lymis

No doubt, but that also presumes that no white people are offended by crap like this.

          Not true.

  • bkmn

Please keep talking Roy, showing all the voters what an ignorant asshole you are.

  • Neal Broverman

Will Alabama voters bat an eye? We’ll see, I guess.

My husband had a dear cousin who was a Betty Boop fanatic. She collected everything Betty Boop. Her home was a museum to Betty Boop.

        Here’s remembering you, sweet Jeanne.

        • Mike_in_the_Tundra

I actually met Betty Boop. Well, I met the model for the cartoon character. She was definitely a senior citizen by then, but she still looked good.

        • Steverino

One of the previous owners of our cabin in the redwoods was a big Betty Boop fan, and named the cabin the “Boop-A-Doop Inn,” and painted it pink. Long-established residents in the area referred to the cabin as “the Boop.”

After hubby and I bought the place, we retired the “Boop-A-Doop Inn” sign out front and repainted the house in brighter colors. But we still have the sign nailed up in the garage as a memento.
          : )

      • Robincho

Fun Fact: Blondie, before she became Blondie Bumstead, was Blondie Boopadoop…

    • fastlanestranger

I think they’d be more upset if he DIDN’T take their money.

    • FAEN

      HA!

  • William

Roy loves to ‘take it’ from Nazis.

  • another_steve

Oh. And here I thought Moore was a good and righteous man. Who knew.

    /snark

    • Tawreos

I doubt he was ever good, but taking money does go along with the righteous face he tries to put forward.

  • james1200

Dammit! I thought we were going to beat moore in the election but this news will put him right over the top.

guess the GOP found a replacement for jesse helms at last.

  • Ninja0980

This news will help him no doubt.

  • Gigi

The real story here would be if a non-Nazi donated money to Moore’s hate group.

  • The_Wretched

Sure, why not? I mean we’ve already seen him support modern southern succession, want to criminalize not standing for the anthem, line his pockets with charitable donations, and bring peace to the races by having them all subjugate to his christianity. Taking money from Nazi’s is just par for his course.

  • JWC

He is GOP nothing on the crooked cheating side is a surprise

  • Pollos Hermanos

      stealing this….

They are all followers of Pence’s christian god?

      • FAEN

        Well that too.

    • zhera

But Donnie didn’t want Moore to win the primary. Why? He’s in with the racists, the nazis, the Russians. What’s missing here?

      • FAEN

Moore is even more 🦇 shit than Cheeto and won’t do what’s he’s told? Or did you mean something else?

        • zhera

No, just genuinely wondering why Donnie isn’t backing Moore. I guess the other candidate in the primary was more willing to suck ass…

          • yiddishbear

I think this is why Bannon is no longer in the White House. Bannon and his goons can gather their forces to back every right wing, bat shit crazy, asshole like Moore in elections all across this country and leave the Nazi in the White House to back the “reasonable” candidate so he can distance himself from the very people he needs to be elected.

Sometimes I wonder if this shit show we’ve been witnessing is an act designed to bring about this very result: Play stupid and inept (BTW, an Oscar worthy performance, if true), make an endorsement a negative, let the Bannon candidate win in comfortably secure and safe red states and districts, and voila! A legislature full of Moorelike legislators. Then the fun can begin.

I still have enough hope, though barely a glimmer, that this latest iteration of Republicanism and of this latest move to the right, has finally moved far enough right to energize the left and, more importantly, alienate the middle, small it may be, and we can begin to move forward again.

            Maybe it’s finally bad enough.

          • -M-

Strange will vote the party line while Moore is a loose cannon, so McConnell convinced Donnie to support Strange. Now Donnie’s angry about being talked into backing a loser (even though Strange really would be better for getting something passed for Donnie to take credit for) and Bannon’s taking credit for something he has no control over.

  • bambinoitaliano

You guys better slow down. Poor Caleb Moore will be getting his 10th arrest soon. Give the man child a break will ya? Sheesh!

*wailing pukes* OH THE HUMANITY .. we NEED that SACRED BABBY to be BORN so we have more suffering babies to not give a fuck about!! .. UNFAIR!! ….. WAAAAAAAHHHH

      • boatboy_srq

So, they’ll make the poor girl have the child, just so they can deport it afterward?

        • They’ll deport her immediately before delivery to make sure the baby is not born on American soil.

    • MikeBx2

As long as he’s anti-abortion, Evangelicals pretty much don’t care what else he is.

  • worstcultever

Speaking of nazis, I just saw a clip of Franken pantsing Keebler today – and I think we need to draft Franken for prez. I know it’s probably the last thing he wants – but the country needs him.

    • ByronK

My brain has an intellectual hard on for that man.

    • whollyfool

      I’ve been thinking this too.

    • Tawreos

I loved his book about running for president.

    • Steverino

That would be great if he would run. But you know the peanut-brain gallery of rogues would be saying: “Al Franken, *globalist * (hint-hint-wink-wink-nudge-nudge).”

      • olandp

They will say that about any Democrat that runs, that and __________ is the most liberal member of the ___________.

    • Clive Johnson

There’s a lot to recommend him for sure.

    • JCF

      The debates would be EPIC!

  • boatboy_srq

Moore’s tax-evading thinly-disguised fascist organisation took money from actual overt fascists in order to spread fascism.

    How unsurprising.

  • Ken M

To reach, and effect, the remaining voters who will decide this election, info more current will be needed. Those who know how they will vote won’t care about this. Why was he ousted twice as a Judge? What is his position on X Y and Z, and make them issues for the country and not just AL If he makes it to DC his vote could decide issues for the nation. The remaining voters need to see that if nothing else, he’s dangerous having that much power.

  • VodkaAndPolitics

So, this guy is a Nazi, who wishes he took part in the Holocaust, but also denies the Holocaust.

  • Adam King

I’m seeing an ad for an ugly baseball cap. It’s grey with greenish grey “camo” in front and a messed-up looking grey-on-grey American flag, with a backwards grey-on-grey American flag on the side. Did I mention it was ugly? It’s designed to look old and miserable and kinda-sorta military. What’s it supposed to signify? Hating America?

    • another_steve

You’ve got to be careful what you type on the web.

I once referenced my hemorrhoids – here on JMG or elsewhere, I can’t remember – and have been bombarded with Google Ads for hemorrhoid ointments ever since.

      • Adam King

I don’t recall having ever searched on line for ugly hats. I don’t even wear hats. I think their algorithm is just tossing shit at the wall to see what sticks. 😐

      • TheManicMechanic

Which is one of many reasons I block all ads. Not relevant to me in any way, some are downright insulting or against my beliefs, etc. I don’t give a shit if I am somehow cutting into someone’s profits, I won’t let anyone market to me is some dumbshit manner. I’m sure those who poo-poo my actions make sure they stay in front of the television while the ads play and only go to the bathroom when the actual program is on.

  • Karl Dubhe

That’ll get him more votes in Al Abama won’t it? 🙁

  • teedofftaxpayer

    Surprise, surprise, surprise.

  • teedofftaxpayer

I’ve often wondered just how many people who appeared in his court donated to his “cause” before, during or after trial.

    She looks kind of whiplashed.
