For Third Time, Trump Forgets To Sign Order, Starts To Leave Room Before Pence Calls Him Back [VIDEO]

I wasn’t watching the screen so I missed this.

The New York Daily News reports:

President Trump had to be ushered back to sign his executive order peeling back parts of Obamacare, which he’s spent years bashing. The commander-in-chief began strolling out of the White House’s Roosevelt Room after delivering a full-throated rebuke of the Affordable Care Act.

“Thank you everybody,” the President said to applause as he bee-lined for the door. Meanwhile, the executive order sat across the room — without Trump’s signature. That’s when Vice President Pence is heard telling his boss, “Mr. President, you need to sign it.”

A White House reported for France 24 tweeted this was the third time the President has left without signing an executive order. The President was then seen catching himself, turning around and headed toward the desk.

She has her claws out in that stretch. You better be careful.

      • another_steve

Lol. They’re not claws, though they look like claws in this photo.

        They’re tufts of fur.

        • GayOldLady

She’s a beauty. I have one with claws and one declawed. The one with claws is an old girl and she doesn’t use them anymore, but when she was young she was quite the bird chaser.

          • clay

Maybe she still is a bird chaser, just that she’s given up on you ever learning what to do with them?

          • another_steve

The bird tracking/chasing instinct among domesticated cats is amazing. I’ve been caregiver for many cats and I’ve never lived with one that didn’t go berserk when a bird landed nearby.

It obviously serves some species survival purpose. They all possess the instinct.

          • GayOldLady

When my girl goes out, which is rare nowadays, every bird within 50 yards sounds a distress signal. And the male birds swoop her in the Spring when there are eggs in the nests, even the hummingbirds swoop her. She was a prolific bird hunter in her day. She also would catch voles and drop them at my feet while I was sunbathing on the deck. She liked to show off!

          • another_steve

            I can relate, GOL.

Cats are instinctual hunters. With some domesticated cats, if you deny them an actual prey they’ll imagine one and chase it as if it were real. I call it the “Imaginary Rodent Phenomenon.”

On the rare occasion when I get truly annoyed with my girl, I’ll shout at her, “Get lost! Go chase an imaginary mouse!”

          • GayOldLady

She’s 13 and has really chubbed out. She’s still beautiful, but she’s no longer in bird catching condition. In fact she rarely asks to go out anymore. The last bird she caught I had to rescue, a beautiful bright red male Cardinal. I chased her screaming and yelling until she finally relented and dropped him. He wasn’t hurt thank goodness.

          • another_steve

            Post pictures of them here.

Lots of cat lovers on JMG.

Thanks. She’s the gentlest and quietest cat I’ve ever known. Although once or twice a year, in the middle of the night she’ll walk into the bedroom and let out the loudest MEOWWW you could imagine and then after I’m clinging to the ceiling she’ll shrug her kitty shoulders and leave.

The eyes are saying, “I like this arrangement. I have him under my spell.”

          • Lizard

Ahhhh. Right. What was I thinking about again?

            Lol. Perfect.

You obviously know your cats, Lizard.

          • Lizard

Not as well as I’d like. I’ve always loved them, but my dad is allergic. I’ve made a pact with myself that I’m adopting a kitten as soon as I’m sure I can afford one. (What can I say? I’m an unemployed, fresh-from-college whippersnapper.) For now, I’m contenting myself with pictures of other people’s kitties.

        The power of positive thinking.

        • GayOldLady

I’m convinced and have been saying since he was elected that he wouldn’t make it to mid-terms. It’s not as much positive thinking as it is belief that our system of governance can only bend so much before something or someone will rescue it. I do think, however, that people are going to have to show up in large numbers in DC to protest in order to move the Congress and the Cabinet to take him down. Nothing scares our Congress into action faster than a strong showing of public opinion and outrage. That post election march scared the shit out of the GOP. We can duplicate that if the right people call for it.

          • charemor

And write or call all of these people in Congress.

How long before Donnie forgets how to sign his own name and just writes King Donald I?

    • Tomcat

      King poopee pants.

    • Lazycrockett

Pence is more of a cheerleader than a VP.

    • lattebud

He will make Jared in charge of signing thing so

  • David

    Dotard wears a bell now.
It allows the secret service to find him everytime he shuffles off somewhere and gets lost.

    • JAKvirginia

      Nope. Microchip tracking device.

      (Shhh. It’s in the tie.)

  • Princess Lardass

In his defense, it’s an executive order not a cellphone with Twitter.

  • Shakesbear

Wow. It really is an “Adult Day Care Center”!

The man has dementia, maybe Alzheimer’s. He repeats certain phrases over and over within one conversation, goes on unfocused off-topic rants, and forgets very obvious tasks.

I know, I know, Goldwater Rule, and I’m not a trained specialist anyway. I learned these symptoms in college intro to psych. It’s literally textbook.

    • safari

The Goldwater Rule, like Godwin’s Law, no longer apply.

    • Tomcat

Anyone is allowed under the first amendment to offer a unofficial opinion of his mental health. Fact:

    • It is textbook, you’re right. And the psychiatric and psychological associations have weighed in deciding the safety of the country and the world merited an exception in this case.

Donald’s brain is probably turning into mush at this point. Add to this his existing sociopathy and extreme narcissistic personality disorder and we have a recipe for global disaster.

I keep harping on this, but interviews as recently as 1999 show a man with roughly the same attitudes, but he’s capable of speaking in complete paragraphs, with complex dependent clauses and very little repetition. He can’t do that anymore.

      • bambinoitaliano

If he was in a normal family and being ignore. Would the wife or the immediate family be charged with abuse?

        • Doubtful unless the neglect was intentional and malign. Difficult to prove.

      • Tawreos

They may have told him to dumb it down to appeal to his base.

        • I do not believe this is true nor that Donald could be persuaded to behave like a brain-damaged idiot just to appeal to 25-30% of Americans.

          • Tawreos

It is the least frightening of the options.

        • canoebum

It’s not an act. He really is that stupid.

      • Zeldacat

He’s always been an asshole, but at least he could put together coherent sentences.

    • Jay Mills

It may be “unethical”, but in times like these, such niceties must be overlooked, especially when right wing “experts” or paid shills are being used to prop up this atrocity daily.

    • bambinoitaliano

Still better diagnosed than that quack that gave the fucking moron a clean bill of health to ran for presidency last year.

Every tweet aimed at this administration needs to include the #DementiaDonald hashtag. Although I do prefer #KingCheetoMcMoron

    • Uncle Mark

I just refer to him as #FuckingMoron. He has always loathed being calling an idiot, because he knows he is. It clearly gets under his skin, especially from one of his right hand men.

I just like to remind him. (I’m helpful that way)

      #FuckfaceVonClownstick

      • Lizard

I thought that was Don Jr.’s handle.

        • No, it’s Donald’s. Jon Stewart came up with it.

Oh, okay. Bill Maher calls the sons “Fuckface and Douchebag,” which I think is an insult to douchebags everywhere.

    • ooooh! I love #DementiaDonald! Perfect!

I’ve walked into a room many times and forgotten what I came there for…… but I wasn’t sabotaging America’s healthcare!!

    • Lizard

You probably hadn’t just given a several-minute haranguing speech about what you’d gone into the room to get, either.

    • 2guysnamedjoe

You’ve experienced The Hereafter. That’s when you walk into a room and ask yourself, “Now what did I come in here after?”

    • Yeah, but did you give a speech about it when you got there?

  • anne marie in philly

    what a fucking moron!

  • Halou

Can he get coverage for his senility?

    • greenmanTN

It makes you wonder if that story from yesterday about the Washington D.C. Pharmacist talking about filling prescriptions for Alzheimer’s medication for elected officials wasn’t a very broad hint…

    • JAKvirginia

Oops. Just signed that EO gutting the ACA. Guess not.

So Europe is getting hit by a hurricane?!

    https://twitter.com/WXRISKCOM/status/918186592568823809

    • zhera

We do get hurricanes every now and then. Not often. Usually mid-winter. The strongest hurricane ever in Norway was in 1992, and equaled a Cat 3.

I remember it well. Almost blew me out on the sea.

    • ChrisMorley

It’s not so unusual. Hurricane Debbie smashed into Ireland in 1961, killing 18. There have been others.

It’s not just Turmp. His staff have figured out how to fence him in with people, but the people they have to work are too stupid and fearful to turn him back.

  • charemor

I wonder if someone has to remind him to wipe his ass after he poops? Or does he have someone to do that for him?

    • FelineMama

No but, some poor soul has to change his depends frequently, tho.

  • 2guysnamedjoe

The Roosevelt Room was named in honor of both Presidents Roosevelt. May their spirits strike down this order, as well as the nazi who signed It.

    What a doddering dotard.

Too bad Pence had to go and remind him about signing. If he’d just wave the thing around and then split, maybe we wouldn’t have to worry so much about what he’s trying to do to the country. An unsigned order has no effect, after all.

    • andrew

Pence may be one of the authors of many of these conservative Executive Orders.

  • grada3784

Does he even know what he’s signing?

  • andrew

I wonder who the forces of reaction and extremism are in the Trump Administration who are researching all the issues involved with these Executive Orders? Clearly Trump doesn’t know much about any of this stuff and doesn’t have the time to learn, because he’s involved in his little twitter wars,

  • Laurie Clarkston

I am surprised he hasn’t had a stamp made.

    • FelineMama

I read not long ago he LOVES signing his name. Part of his narcissism complex.

  • Guido Miller

Did he read it before he signing it?? I doubt it.
