Ellen DeGeneres: I Won’t Have Trump On My Show Because He’s Dangerous To Me As A Gay Woman

And Teabistan explodes. From the right wing Free Beacon:

Daytime talk show host Ellen DeGeneres said she would not have President Donald Trump as a guest on her show because she feels he is “dangerous” to the country and the world.

“I would not have him on my show,” she said without hesitation. “You know, he is who he is, and he has enough attention, and he has his Twitter account and he has ways to get his message across… and I don’t want to give him a platform because it just validates him.”

DeGeneres said she only invites people on the show who she feels some sort of admiration for. The talk show host also said she feels he is dangerous for her “personally as a gay woman,” and for the country and world at large. “He is dividing all of us, and I think, I just don’t want him on the show,” she added.

Ellen made similar comments earlier this year during an interview with Matt Lauer.

  • JaniceInToronto

Poor Mr. Trump will have his fee-fees hurt when he see this.

    Fuck him.

    • vorpal 😼

The White House staff should start stocking some of these, but in XXXL.

      • Rick Jackson

Personal Butt Plugs for the tRump?

      • Treant

The photo makes it look like a pull-ring butt plug.

        Good idea, actually.

        • Lizard

That was my first thought. A pacifier wouldn’t work because all he does is talk out his ass.

What they really need is an industrial-strength buttplug, and we might get a decent night’s sleep for a change.

      • Frostbite

        too big for his hands.

      • netxtown

based on his ass – it is way too small – even at XXXL

      • Xiao Ai: The Social Gadfly

I’m mildly jealous but, for the wrong reasons.

      • Cattleya1

Maybe they could hammer a giant, gold buttplug up the orange one’s ass?

        • vorpal 😼

I’m more for sealing both ends with a generous amount of crazy glue and seeing which one erupts first from the buildup of noxious gasses.

          • Cattleya1

I wonder what color he would turn? Get out the crazy glue and lets find out…

          • vorpal 😼

I can’t remember my additive colour theory.
What does orange + green make?

          • Cattleya1

Repulsive, brownish-green glop. Sounds like 45 to me!

  • vorpal 😼

Good. We need to stop paying attention to the screeching shit gibbon and his swamp beast minions.

  • Tawreos

I am not sure that Trump was trying to get on her show, but I am sure she will be part of Tweetstorm in the next few days.

    • Nowhereman

I hope he does go off on her. He has no idea what he’s in for if he does.

  • Yalma Cuder-Zicci

She feels some kind of admiration for Megyn Kelly?

    • Paula

Naw. It’s just that all straight women think all Lesbians want to do them. As if!

      • Ragnar Lothbrok

I already knew this, but sure is nice to hear πŸ™‚

      • Yalma Cuder-Zicci

I couldn’t help but notice how Kelly was dressed. Way more covered up than on Fox News. She’s actually wearing pants.

      • Nowhereman

        I know, right? Weird!

      • Stephen Elliot Phillips

        Same with straight guys…

        • Paula

Actually, most women are good about it. Some women get downright crazy. They are afraid that the Lesbians might get lucky with them. It’s funny to see.

          • BearEyes

secure men are good about it too. It’s too often the ugly one in the corner who is too weirded out that “we” might ravish him. Nope – not interested – get over it

    • Tawreos

Probably in a professional sense and not in content

    • Gustav2

A female survivor of Fox News?

    • Xiao Ai: The Social Gadfly

Ellen did choose that phrase more carefully. She said, “I’d have to have ‘some’ admiration for them.”. Not a lot, but some. My suspicion is that she admires Megan for having climbed the heap in a cesspool of sexual harassment. Certainly, it is no amazing feat. It does show Ms Kelly’s ethical standards, however.

  • netxtown

ALERT: pending tweet storm from the orangeness will declare open season on homos… pardons will be granted for bagging more than 2

    • FAEN

Isn’t it already open season on us?

      • MBear

        It’s always been

      • netxtown

sorta – but the pardon is a new benny since last november. and, unlike donnie’s healthcare bullshit – there are no annual or lifetime limits.

      • GlennF

Yes, as Ninja0980 has already pointed out, the right-wingers dRumpf is putting on the federal courts is proof of that.

Also, don’t think dRumpf and his minions will stop at trying to ban trans Americans from serving in the U.S. armed forces. That is most likely only a dress rehearsal for what they have in store for gay and lesbian Americans.

        • FAEN

As always we’ll fight back. And win.

    • bambinoitaliano

Oh for sure. Among the many envies and jealousies he possess is the legitimate Hollywood fame he could never attain. He is going to lose his shit over this.

    • Todd20036

      I’ve bagged a LOT more than 2.
      So what do I get?

      • Tawreos

You are not using bagged in the correct sense here, but I like your use of it better.

  • clay

and Megyn Kelly still didn’t learn as much as she should have.

  • Ninja0980

If nothing else, the judges he is putting on the courts will hurt us for decades to come.

    • SFBruce

There’s nothing I want more than a Democratic Senate in 2018. That would at least make it pretty much impossible for him to nominate more Scalia clones. I know the odds are against us, since many more Democrats are up for re-election in the Senate this time, and the few Republicans who do have to face voters are in pretty safe districts.

      • netxtown

hence the repeal/replace effort to keep the mongrels fed

      • VodkaAndPolitics

We can take back the House, and then impeach Trumpence, and have a Democrat in the White House (Likely Aunt Nancy).

        • DTGstl314

I’d love to see it, but the odds of that happening are slim to none. Even in the highly unlikely event that we took back the Senate next year (the seats in play heavily favor the Republicans), it still takes 67 U.S. Senators to remove a president from office after he’s been impeached by the House. Which means we would need AT LEAST 16 Republicans to get on board to actually remove him from office.

I just don’t see that happening. Best case scenario, an impending impeachment that threatens to reveal a lot about his financial picture that he doesn’t want revealed could push him to resign, but we’re still going to be stuck with President Pence until 2020. There’s even less of a chance of him being removed from office, given he’s a lot more popular among Congressional Republicans than Trump is.

Whatever happens in the next year or two, we’re probably going to have to just bide our time until January 20, 2021 before we can see sanity and compassion restored to 1600 Pennsylvania.

      – A new analysis shared exclusively with the Guardian has found 80% of nominations for top jobs in the Trump administration have gone to men

        And the Whitest.

  • vorpal 😼

They’d never get the orange stains out of Ellen’s white furniture.

  • Gustav2

‘Ellen’ is a SHOW, not the NEWS.

Of course, it is hard to tell the difference when talk shows think they are news and news think they are talk shows, right Megyn Kelly?

    • Nowhereman

There’s actually a lot of overlap.

  • The Sentinel

Yet Ellen has no problem inviting the repulsive race-baiting Megyn Kelly on her show. http://gawker.com/megyn-kelly-is-a-horrible-person-1750968367

  • another_steve

Ooh, this is going to annoy the sexual predator.

    Do it, Trump honey.

    Go for the Full Homophobia.

  • DesertSun59

    Teabagistan can suck it.

  • Macbill

Wait… you know Rosie O’Donald will get a shout out, too.

    • bambinoitaliano

      It’s a package deal.

    • Pip

      All lesbians look alike, right?

      • Macbill

No. Because Trump is a pig.

        • Pip

          Well, duh… πŸ˜‰

      • Daveed_WOW

Don’t bring that up. We’ve been getting along so well lately πŸ™‚

  • Ragnar Lothbrok
    • Daveed_WOW

LOL. Don’t you wish you could charge them for wasting your time? Whenever “they” do fundraisers (for example), I want to do the opposite. How do you take money away from people? Charge them for the pleasure of my company? Oh wait….

Reaching out to racists and fascists is not an option for rational people.

  • Treant

Good for her. I didn’t watch the Emmys. I wouldn’t pay attention to Ellen any longer if she normalized this crap.

  • Smithbc

I wouldn’t have him on because he doesn’t need another platform to spew lies and bullshit.

  • David J

Can’t we get Ellen to run for president somehow? If we’re going to have a TV star as president, let’s at least have a very wonderful, generous, kind, intelligent and sane one who can even give news conferences where she makes good jokes about herself, not the one we have now that makes America look like a joke.

  • bambinoitaliano
  • Rex

Good for Ellen, although I wouldn’t have had Megan Kelly, but that’s Ellen’s call and I won’t judge her for that. Ellen has done a tremendous amount of good for the LGBT community. She doesn’t wear her sexuality on her sleeve, but doesn’t shy away from it when necessary. And, our birthday’s are a day apart.

  • Pip

“I don’t want to give him a platform because it just validates him.”

More of this from every news show, talk show, late night show, etc. Stop giving these people a freaking platform to spew their lies and hate.

  • GayOldLady

He’s dangerous to everyone in the LGBT community. And the Latino community. And the Black community. And the Muslim community. And any woman he fancies. And people on Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security. Basically almost everyone should see him as dangerous.

  • Harveyrabbit
    • grada3784

But that’s how he picks those he nominates to positions in his administration.

    • Daveed_WOW

I know some babies who do that. Oh wait…

  • Jean-Marc in Canada

“I don’t want to give him a platform because it just validates him.”

This is arguably the single most salient and prescient point.

  • David L. Caster

Good for her. More talk show hosts need to do this very thing.

  • 2guysnamedjoe

    Once again, Ellen gets it.
When the media treat drumpf and his cadre as normal guests or interviewees, they’re normalizing fascism. It’s not normal, and the media should point that out every chance they get.

  • BeaverTales

The Trump electorate only listens to fake news anyway…he’s happy to avoid media that holds him to verifiable facts. The rest of us don’t believe anything he says regardless.

  • ColdCountry

For how many days will we hear about “failing Ellen DeGeneres”, and how her ratings are so low? And how sad it is.

    • Lizard

Until Tweetolini gets distracted, so around two minutes.

      • rickhfx

        There something shiny, look.

  • Lizard

I don’t get it. Teabagistan wanted Trump precisely because he threatened LGBTQ people (also immigrants, people of color, and women). Now they’re upset because the resulting unrepentant homophobe they got elected isn’t being invited on a show run by an openly gay woman?

Do they actually expect LGBTQ people to kiss their feet while they shit all over them?

    • Annerdr

      Yes. Yes, they do.

  • Xiao Ai: The Social Gadfly

If a talk show, and a news show, had a baby, you have FAUXNews. You’re welcome to return for the sexual harassment again, Megan.

  • Bob Conti

I love Ellen but disagree with her on this. I think she could challenge him because nobody in his roving band of sycophants does. Ask direct questions of LGBT rights, appointment of rabid judicial nominees and the realities of healthcare. Show the man for the fraud that he is.

    • 2guysnamedjoe

I agree in principle, but it doesn’t seem to work on the shitgibbon. Hillary kicked his orange ass in the debates and showed him up for what he is, but his orange ass now occupies the oval office. The people who (rightfully) hate him will watch, and those who still think he’s god, won’t.

      • Bob Conti

I know. Maybe I’m just in denial thinking that “sunshine is the best antiseptic” and the like.

        • kareemachan

Just let the sunbeams be MSM…

Asking anything of him along these lines would be like hanging Jell-o on a fish hook. No interview he’s ever given has revealed any facts nor was able to elicit sound, well thought out policies and their justification. His only aim is to dismantle that uppity foreign born muslim nigra’s legacy. I believe Ellen would see having him on her show would impugn her integrity and offend her audience, many of whom tune in to escape the all feigning Lord Dampnut media circus.
Just my thoughts but I understand you perspective and I wish “journalists” would start doing their job and actually speak truth to power and call lies and corruption exactly what they are, all day everyday.

      • Bob Conti

“all feigning Lord Dampnut media circus…” If I weren’t feeling so crappy from my cold I’d think I’d be laughing hysterically. I was an assignment editor for a LA t.v. station, it just killed me that I’d look at some reporters who’d just ask a question, get a bullshit response, and not go after the interviewee like a rabid badger. I was taught by an old-school CBS documentary producer that if you don’t get the answer to your question, you keep asking the question until you do. There are still some bright lights, but honestly, the Sunday talking head shows just frustrate me with the lack of follow-up or preparedness.

Yes, I’m afraid that now, journalists are fiddling while Nero burns Rome.

  • FelineMama

Good on you, Ellen!! Besides, it would leave such a vomitus stench in your studio, you’d NEVER get rid of it. You’d have to rebuild!!

  • Gerry Fisher

  • “ellen – not popular, worst show host in history. sad.” snark.

    • ByronK

“Rating plummeting, and folks, it’s nothing but fake talk. Fake talk.”

  • kareemachan

And when do the idiots bring up the 1st Amendment?…

  • Dot Beech

If it would increase her ratings, Kelly would suck off Trump in front of her own husband.

    • William

      Nobody wants to see that.

  • BearEyes

if Ellen needs to have some sort of admiration for her guests, what the hell is that kelly woman doing on? She’s definitely not a journalist – that fluff crappola piece of the kar-trash-ians proved that (as if we needed it after her shilling for faux all those years)

  • infmom

Besides, she’d have to sit next to half a can of Axe for 10 minutes.

  • kaydenpat

Good for her. Why would she want someone so noxious on her show anyways? He’d only talk about his election win, his businesses, his this, his that. Let him stick to Fox News.
