Lewandowski: If Manafort or Roger Stone Colluded With Russia, I Hope They’re Jailed For The Rest Of Their Lives

The Washington Examiner reports:

Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski said Tuesday that if Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, or anyone else within the campaign colluded to influence the 2016 election, he hopes they “go to jail for the rest of their lives.”

Lewandowski was responding to reports that Manafort, who became campaign manager after Lewandowski was fired, was wiretapped as part of a federal investigation into Manafort’s dealing with Ukraine. Reports say the surveillance, obtained through a secret Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant, was in effect at a time when Manafort was in communication with President Trump.

“I think if anybody, and I’ve said this, if Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, or Rick Gates or Carter Page, or anybody else attempted to influence the outcome of the U.S. election through any means that’s inappropriate β€” through collusion, coordination, or cooperation β€” I hope they go to jail for the rest of their lives. It’s very simple. Our election process is too serious, our democracy is too important to allow people to try and try and have influence from the outside for their own gain,” Lewandowski said during an event at George Washington University.

  • Halou

The only problem is that at the speed things are going Trump will have died of age by the time the case even hits a courtroom, much less have a ruling made for or against him. He is 71 years old now and already deteriorating due to the job.

I think any conviction of Donald Trump will merely be a posthumous note declaring his actions were criminal and that’ll be that, all his ill-gotten gains will have passed on as inheritance and thus be unrecoverable. The damage he has caused, and will cause in the future, to the nation’s reputation both internally and around the world is beyond repair.

    • RoverSerton

With a bit of luck, (not wishing him ill), posthumus will be within a 6 months. My dream, Pence becomes president but senate won’t allow vp pick. 2018 elections… House goes to Dems, Impeaches pence and selects speaker of the house Hillary as president. Karma baby!

      • Chucktech

Impeachment is only half the game. Clinton was impeached. The Senate has to convict.

        • RoverSerton

Oh, they will impeach and convict, but the tea party wont’ allow a vp to be selected till they lose the house…. then, president Hillary.

I would ask what is taking so long with this investigation, but the Scott Lively case took more than five years before a judge dismissed it on a technicality. If it was so clear why did it take so long to decide?
And the Yugoslav war crimes tribunal. A whole seventeen people died of natural causes before their cases went to trial, the most high profile of which was Slobodan Miloőević himself. And even more than 20 years later some of those who were indicted are still yet to be convicted.

The effect of trump and ICE in Calif…..our painting contractor has been delayed 3 times (over 2 weeks) now by the scaffold company. The scaffold company lost several of it’s employees to either ICE or fear. The painting contractor tells me he had 2 crews working at once, now he only has one crew. Bill I want to try something that you may be of help with. I notice several times you put individual musical selections on here I assume they are from an album Do you get them from You tube and is it hard to do

      • billbear1961

I look for pieces on YouTube, pieces that I know and like, and am able to find many of them. Sometimes I find something new that I think is really great. It was actually our Max, here on JMG, who introduced me to the CPE Bach flute concerto!

No, they’re not part of any album, JWC.

        • JWC

The one is on on You tube by Waldo de los Rios but ther are 12 tunes on the album So can 1 be separated and how do I add it to JMG

          • billbear1961

You have to be find what you want in a video on its own, OR you can do a “start-at” post.

Let the video play till it reaches the place you want. Pause it. Click on “SHARE.” Place a check in the “start-at” box. Then copy and paste the link, that will appear in blue above the checked box, onto JMG!

          • Reality.Bites

Slick the share box and check before you start playing. The number in the link will change, so you can go back and forth in the video if necessary to find the right spot.

          • billbear1961

They changed it recently–it’s actually more complicated than it used to be.

Until recently, you could, yourself, just change the time to what you wanted (type it in yourself), then copy and paste the link. You didn’t have to fiddle with the video.

          • JWC
