One Million Moms Vs ABC’s Roseanne Reboot

Via email from hate group leader Monica Cole:

ABC recently announced a reboot of “Roseanne” that features most of the same characters from the original show and a few new ones – primarily, the young children of on-screen couple Darlene and David (played by Sarah Gilbert and Johnny Galecki).

The new “Roseanne,” airing in 2018, has decided to feature the gender fluidity issue. Reports have said that of Darlene and David’s two children, one will be a 9-year-old son, Mark, who’s “gender creative.”

The casting notice obtained by Fox News describes the character as “sensitive” and “effeminate.” Mark “displays qualities of both male and female young child traits,” according to the casting call.

Unfortunately, the age of Roseanne’s grandchildren may attract young viewers, so the victims of this outrageous program are the young cast members, not to mention any child who views the show. The sexualization and moral corruption of these children is child exploitation at its worst. No child should be introduced to the experience of mental disorders.

Neither “Roseanne” nor ABC are strangers to controversial storylines. The original series aired from 1988-1997. The show first made headlines when it featured a lesbian kissing scene. This new series will inevitably be celebrated by the LGBT community, as the 9-year-old is the first “gender non-binary” character to appear on network TV.

This will only be the beginning unless we speak up. Consider that the original “Roseanne’s” most controversial move was once a kiss between two women – that’s sadly a common scene on network television today.

Placing gender fluid and non-binary characters in mainstream television shows are the next step in normalizing a culture that dissociates a person’s biological gender from their “gender identity.”

DNA proves a female is female and a male is male. There is no gray area here and no such thing as “gender fluid.” Confusing young viewers and child cast members with gender dysphoria is destructive. ABC is glorifying gender dysphoria, also known as gender identity disorder, and using a child to promote this mental disorder.

TAKE ACTION: Sign our petition now stating you will not be watching “Roseanne” since the show is promoting gender dysphoria and purposefully confuses children.

Thanks One Moronic Mom! Now I know what to watch in 2018!!!

  • DisqusD37

    I’ll be viewing.

  • FAEN

    OMM’s-get a fucking life already.

    • Todd20036

that’s the kind of life I have. And believe me, I doubt OMM is even capable of attracting anyone, which would explain their bitterness.

      • FAEN

I’m happy for you Todd. Glad someone is fucking on a regular basis 😊.

OMM’s need some serious therapy and reprogramming.

  • bambinoitaliano

I got my popcorn ready to see how Roseanne Barr response to this OMM.

    • PickyPecker
    • TheManicMechanic

I remember a bit from Roseanne’s stand-up days where she rants on how people complain that she’s not very lady-like (paraphrasing):

“People say that I don’t act very feminine, that I’m not very lady-like. I tell them ‘SUCK MY DICK!'”

      • Phillip in L.A.

Hey, I think Roseanne stole that from Tallulah Bankhead!

“It’s the good girls who keep diaries; the bad girls never have the time.” –T.B.

  • Jonathan Smith

yeah, so i soooooooooo was not going to watch that.
well, lets be serious, i still will not be watching that.
but hey 1 Mom, fuck off.

  • Rex

So, Johnny Galecki is going to be on The Big Bang Theory and the new Rosanne.
How much dough is this man raking in, and more importantly, when does he sleep?
Same with Sarah Gilbert who is on The Talk. Oh, and who cares what OMM think, these are the important questions.

    • Lazycrockett

I don’t see how or why Johnny would over extend himself. He may do a cameo just out of respect for Rosanne, but I don’t see him being a regular. Dude is making serious cash on TBBT and also has a % of the merch. He never needs to work again.

      • Reality.Bites

And to that – if they are able to secure his services for a cameo or two on Roseanne, he’ll be paid scale.

        • Andrew Iverson

Apparently his net worth is like $40 million, so, he’s doing well. 😉

      • Rex

I read that the male leads on TBBT took a pay cut so that the female leads would be paid the same amount. as the male leads. That’s commendable.

        • Lazycrockett

I know that Johnny, Kaley and Jim negotiated a couple years back for really healthy raise and also backdoor deal that includes a % of profits from merch and syndication. The three of them are set for life.

        • toutwest

They did it so the actors playing Bernadette and Amy would have salary increases. Kaley Cuoco makes equal money to the male leads.

          • Reality.Bites

Of course Jim Parsons and his husband also have a fat development deal on top of that. They get executive producer credit on Young Sheldon and Jim does the voiceover.

They have another show in development at another network as well.

        • Reality.Bites

It wasn’t a female/male thing. Kaley, Johnny and Jim have always earned the same. The supporting males earned the same as each other since they were there from the beginning. The three leads gave up some money so the female characters who joined later would be bumped up to the same level. But it’s strictly a when they started thing, not a male-female thing.

    • bambinoitaliano

Must be a huge payout for Galecki. He is a top billing actor among the bunch. Not even John Goodman make that kind of money with his numerous movies appearance.

    • fkevin

The cross over allusions could be hilarious.

“What do you think you are now- a rocket scientist?”

      • Lazycrockett

Well Sarah was also on early seasons of TBBT. Sheldon’s mom is played by Jackie.

        • On of the great things about BBT is that they often show people who are usually only the butt of jokes as three dimensional characters. Amy, for example. and Mary (Sheldon’s mom). Yes, she a religious loon, but she’s also a very funny and sympathetic character. (Raising Sheldon alone gives her a free pass.)

    • If the producers want you, they make it work. If the show is run well (as BBT is) he’s probably not working more than 4 hours most days. The shows will record on different days and they’ll make it work. Also, I doubt, given the size of the cast, that Galecki will be that central on the new Roseanne. (Also note, lots of old Roseanne people on BBT including the producer who Roseanne fired, but who he credits for ridding him of the habit of writing trite material.)

  • Lazycrockett

I’m really hoping that David has left Darlene for a guy named Sheldon from California.

    • james1200

Can you imagine being in a gay relationship with Sheldon? I’m pretty sure I’d murder him on day one. Poor Amy!

      • Statistics Palin

Sheldon is the Obsessive Compulsive Personaility Disorder poster child. It’s a wonder that he’s so successful.

        • james1200

I always thought he was supposed to be autistic (though the show won’t admit it.) I believe OCD goes along with autism and the way Sheldon has trouble communicating with human beings and understanding their behavior seems to suggest that he’s on the spectrum.

          • robindaybird

No, he’s just a dick – DO NOT say Sheldon is in any way that represents autism to anyone on the spectrum

          • Lazycrockett

Yeah a couple of episodes has shown how manipulative Sheldon is and hes very aware of what he is doing.

          • Gerry Fisher

A certain husband who shall remain nameless got laughs at a clinic staff meeting by mentioning what he saw as “Assholic Personality Disorder.”

Sheldon having Asperger’s is not the issue, IMO, and I do believe he does. It’s his personality disorder on Axis II that makes him “a dick.” Similar to a certain president who shall remain nameless who also has a significant situation going on in the Personality Disorder realm, Cluster B.

          • Gerry Fisher

OCD (anxiety producing obsessions often involving calming rituals) is not the same as OCPD (a personality organized around perfectionism and detail-oriented control over one’s environment). Yes, Sheldon appears to be on the autism spectrum, what we used to call “Asperger’s Syndrome.” You can be on the autism spectrum and have OCPD or OCD.

I always thought it was very unhelpful to have used the same label for both an anxiety disorder and a personality disorder.

          • james1200

            Thanks for explaining the difference.

          • sasucks

I’m an OCD therapist. OCD and Autism have nothing to do with one another.

          • Parsons has said that he plays Sheldon as having Aspberger’s but the show doesn’t want to be that specific. (There’s a Netflix show called Atypical about a teen on the spectrum that is very good.) Anyway, poor Amy, indeed. What great characters, though.

  • netman extraordinaire

How about you just send a nice Christian note to all the parents and suggest they MONITOR THEIR CHILDREN’S VIEWING rather than busting everyone else’s balls?

    • vorpal 😼

Her belief isn’t in Christianity: it’s in her right to feel morally superior to everyone else.

      • Bad Tom

And in her right to attempt to control what exists on TV for everyone else.

I find that astonishing in it’s hubris.

      • David Walker

And her right to grift money and alleging to “protect the children.” I would like her to get off my porch right now.

    • Harley

Or better yet just get rid of her fucking tv.

    • I think it’s funny that people think they are keeping their children from playing video games, watching shows or seeing things they don’t want them too. If they want to, they will find a way. Kids are way ahead of adults when it comes to technology and they (or one of their friends) will find a way. Also, prohibiting something just makes it more appealing. That is Psych 101 stuff.

      • netman extraordinaire

Some of the wildest kids I knew in high school were from over the top religous families.

  • Tawreos

How is saying the child is gender creative sexualizing the child in any way? What the hell is going through these people minds. Oh and if the character is poorly acted and written for, no one will be praising the inclusion of the character.

  • Mike

All the right wig anti-free speech cupcakes are out today. This time they’re helping to advertise Roseanne.

  • Judas Peckerwood

Damn, with all the hours that these swivel-eyed loons must spend watching teevee it’s a wonder that they have any time left over for god-bothering.

  • VodkaAndPolitics

They can’t even disguise the fact that their only guiding principal is hatred of gay people anymore.

    • Todd20036

Not just gays, but LBGTs and anyone who isn’t a RWNJ Christian.

    • Reality.Bites

Not true. Just a couple of weeks ago they attacked Preacher for reasons that had nothing to do with us.

      • clay

Well, they did complain that the inbred (male, ‘cuz, of course!) descendant of Jesus flashed Preacher Jesse.

    • Bad Tom

They don’t care for sex at all, and they are uneasy with blacks.

      • clay

Considering how American racism has sexualized and hyper-masculinized Blacks, their not caring for sex and unease with Blacks aren’t entirely separate.

“DNA proves a female is female and a male is male.” Someone apparently has never read a damn biology textbook. What gender, pray tell, is a person with Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome, who has XY chromosomes but a female exterior? How about someone with XXY chromosomes and organs of both genders?

The really sick part about this insistence on binary gender is that it denies the complexity in life that their alleged god “created.” Isn’t relying on the claims of a 2,000 or 3,000 nomadic tribal story instead of the reality around you a slap in the face of the very god you worship?

    • Treant

Or XYY. XYYY (no, seriously, that’s a thing).

Gender biology is hella complicated. Let’s not even discuss where I’m more knowledgeable–the plant world.

Those delightful marigolds are male flowers around the outer ring, both male and female everywhere else. Usually. Most of the time. OK, it varies.

      • clay

speaking of the plant world and sex and gender . . .

Some women’s retinas appear to respond to four bands of visible light, rather than just three, giving them excellent night vision and the ability to see a wider variety of colors in things like flowers.

        • Treant

Tetrachromats. Joan Slonczewski wrote a fantastic novel (Brain Plague) in which Chrys, our heroine, saw blue, green, red, and infrared. As she was an artist, that was critically important. As a host of the brain plague, it was even more critically important…and I won’t say anything more.

But in most cases, the bands of red seem to be pretty close to each other and not a huge difference, even though they’re absolutely tetrachromatic.

For really good color vision, get born as a mantis shrimp.

  • M Jackson

    Both Beckys!!!

    • Lazycrockett

One of my favorite moments of that show was when the original Becky came back and the first thing Rosanne says is “Where the hell have you been?”

      • M Jackson

The tag where they were watching “Bewitched” and wondering how the show could think they didn’t realize they had changed Darrens.

  • Steven B

I hope Laurie Medcalf is in the reboot too.
Also is there a petition I can sign to say that I will be watching it SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE there’s a gender fluid character?

    • Christopher

Laurie Metcalf’s real life daughter Zoe Perry is playing Sheldon’s mom on the new series “Young Sheldon”.

Fitting as Metcalf herself plays his mom on TBBT.

    • Todd Allis

‘…the 9-year-old is the first “gender non-binary” character to appear on network TV.’
Wow, it’s about time! Thanks, OMM. I was curious about the reboot before. Now I will definitely be watching it!

    • CanuckDon

It’s actually quite interesting that OMM has never had a shit-fit over Sheldon’s mother’s lines on one of the most watched shows ever.

      • I’m a fan of the multi-camera sitcom. I know millenials hate them but I like them because they demand a kind of theatrical performance. You can usually tell who did a lot of theater. Baranski and Metcalf are two great examples. They have great timing and know how to play to an audience for maximum laughs. Most of these single camera shows are just not that funny.

        • CanuckDon

I’ve never been able to put my finger on just what it is that I dislike about current television but this makes sense. Thanks.

  • Rebecca Gardner

They really need to get laid.

  • Bad Tom

I think these loons have a TV situation room, with a bank of monitors, each tuned to a filthy channel, with rows of chairs manned by matronly madams armed with clipboards and staring with a steely intensity usually reserved to adolescent boys who’ve just discovered dad’s private collection.

When a filthy bit comes on, a matron will bark an order, rip a sheet from her clipboard, and a runner will take the dirt to head matron Monica Cole, feverish as she works on her next newsletter.
The reality probably isn’t as glamorous as that.

“Purposefully confusing children”? Wow, if anybody’s doing that it’s you guys. Children are quite able to see a variety of realities in their world, sexual or otherwise, it’s your lot that keeps wanting to force them into black and white thinking.

As someone who teaches late adolescents and young adults, one of my chief goals is to restore the curiosity (necessary for the sciences) that people like Monica have snuffed out in previously healthy children.

    • Longpole

I hope there is a scene of 2 guys kissing and crabbing crotch and ass at the same time on the new Roseanne show.

      • Dagoril

I hope there’s a scene of 2 guys making out, while some bitchy old harpy of a neighbor peeks through the window disapprovingly. Just to rub it in OMM’s face hehe.

  • safari

I don’t think any of us are sexualizing a child, OMM. That seems to be in your head.

  • clay

Y’all got the bases pretty much covered, so I’ll just highlight this stupidity:

“the age of Roseanne’s grandchildren may attract young viewers”

Since if there’s no child in Doctor Who or a super-hero movie, children never watch those? Since if there’s any child in an adult crime show aired late at night or rated R, it’s flooded with an young audience?

But Camille Paglia has been going on a tear about the exact same thing this last month. And the rightwing media has been lapping it up, calling Paglia an “extreme liberal” who admits that “transgender doesn’t exist.” And Camille of course gets to extend her lapsed 15 minutes of fame for a few more seconds.

      • edrex

i assert that camille paglia does not exist. or at least not since the mid nineties.

      • Paglia is just Ann Coulter with a better vocabulary.

    • marshlc

And so much of that is cultural anyway. The way a little girl dressed and was expected to act back in 1960 when I was a little girl is not at all the way a little girl is expected to dress and act now, and wasn’t the way a little girl in, oh, sub Saharan Africa dressed or acted, then or now.

Anyone who says that the rules on gender are written in stone, and that they know what those rules are and want to enforce them, has automatically lost the argument, IMO. They’ve demonstrated that they don’t know enough to even be part of the conversation.

      • cleos_mom

I can confirm that. When I was a kid (1950s/early 1960s), the expectations for little girls weren’t much different from those in the Victorian era.

Including disapproval of girl children being physically active much beyond kindergarten; I hate to even contemplate what women athletes went through in that era. I’ve long credited my being a “tomboy” as the reason I’ve always been more healthy than my siblings — even considering a diet that would give a health fanatic night terrors.

  • TheManicMechanic

I wonder if the new show will retcon the last episode, or simply ignore it and carry on 20 years later with a rich Roseanne and living Dan?

I’ll have to watch and see. 🙂

    • Reality.Bites

It’ll probably be a dream. Dan is there and David and Darlene were together as were Becky and Mark (who of course is dead now)

I wonder if the experience of Will and Grace and Roseanne will lead shows to have less final finales going forward.

I’ve also been wondering if sitcoms are the new soaps. So many of them are just friends and/or family leading pretty ordinary lives. Why not dip back into their lives again?

      • Treant

I do hope they go that route. Roseanne isn’t Roseanne without Dan. 🙂

Maybe they could do an episode of Roseanne buying a farm just to poke fun at that.

      • Lazycrockett

I think fans who would have issues with the finale and the reboot are probably more happy to have the show back than where it fits in the timeline.

The series finale confirmed that the entire lottery-winning sequence was a wish-fulfillment fantasy on Roseanne’s part; in real (TV) life Dan died of the heart attack he suffered at Darlene’s wedding.

The series was supposed to end the year before, but the network came up with a large financial offer. John Goodman had already committed to a movie and wasn’t going to be available, so he got written out instead.

So if Dan (who’s supposed to be dead) comes back, I don’t think they’re all that worried about continuity.

      • Treant

But it has to be explained! I’m used to shows like Futurama and Rick and Morty, where continuity is king. 🙂

        • Elsewhere1010

What about those crazy Ricardos, who moved from one apartment to another after Little Ricky was born, but their first apartment suddenly acquired a window on the back wall before his birth?

The article has more, than just about Michelle Jones. What about stealing a car at the age of 16, then being denied access to the Bar in states after obtaining a Law Degree? One DOES have to live with the errors we make in life, however, should we be punished after serving ones time and being rehabbed???

I find it amusing that a 9 year old who is “gender creative” has A Few Dozen Shrieking Harpies all up in arms, yet over on the SYFY network, Melanie Scrofano can say “Fuck” on Wynonna Earp and there’s nary a ripple of interest. Go figure.

  • lymis

    This is clearly a fraud.

All the words appear to be fully spelled out. A real press release from OMM would be full of hyphens, such as “g-nder cr–tive.”

    Who hacked their account?

  • Tiger Quinn

Is it really that hard to understand that gender and sex are not the same thing?

    • Duh-David

Sex is who you go to bed with; gender is who you go to bed as.

    • The_Wretched

For the dogmatic righties / religionists? yes. they are taught and then reinforced to think in black and white reductionists terms. Male / penis / manly / attracted to women. Period. (as sean might say). it’s a thought crime (sin) to consider any deviations from that ‘norm’.

After a while, their brains literally cannot process the idea of diversity or decoupling physical structures from who you are from who you like.

    • wmforr

Never really watched it, but my sister-in-law loved it because (1) it was closer to her own life, and (2) all the problems were not neatly solved by the end of the episode.

    • Awww I loved Roseanne when I was growing up! Cheap laughs from time to time and it went off the rails towards the end, but it tackled life (especially economics and family dynamics) in a more realistic way than a lot of other shows, even now.

      • thatotherjean

I did enjoy the first couple of seasons, then the laughs got cheaper and the dynamics less realistic. After a while stupid had replaced funny, and I quit watching.

  • Lance Thrustwell

Does anyone else think that One Million Moms is actually about 4,000 moms sprinkled across various trailer parks and tedious little ranch houses?

    • wmforr

4,000 is a high estimate. I think it’s one Mom (whose kids never, never call, because she’s a cranky old bore) with a huge e-mail list of people who immediately hit the delete button.

  • TexasBoy

Dear Monica, if you actually read the owners manual that came with your TV, you may find it came pre-equipped for just such an emergency. It can be handled in two different ways. Using the channel selector or using the power button. I realize these are new concepts to you.

DNA doesn’t prove that. What about XX and other variations of the XY chromosomes? Other than that, the article tells the truth, namely THE WORLD IS BECOMING A MORE ACCEPTING PLACE AND THERE’S NOTHING YOU ASSHOLES CAN DO ABOUT IT! [You’re not even as cute as the dinosaurs, while you stumble your way toward extinction.]

  • Jack anderson

Y’all r really taking this way to far! Gender creative is something all young healthy kids are at least a few times growing up. The key is to embrace their positive quality no matter what gender “America” says that trait belongs to. If done right and with some common sense and understanding that child will grow into an adult who accepts and connects with their genitalia because they weren’t told “u cant do that because ur a boy/girl.”That’s what causes the misogyny and dysphoria people. Parents needs to wake up! Attempting so called transition is another story. That will introduce the child to life long invasive medication and unneeded medical procedures and possible regret. This is abuse of the worst kind, followed closely by oppressing the child’s wants and needs to a point that damages the child’s ability to accept their “true self”. Accept ur children for who they are and they will come to love their self and not feel the need for a new “identity”

    • Girlgoon

Thanks, this information could have saved me 25 years of costly psychotherapy

      • Jack anderson

I’m assuming u are being sarcastic but I am being serious wen I say I am sorry that has been ur experience in life. But plz don’t think for one minute the doctors and insurance and medical manufacturers aren’t in on all of this. They LOVE trans folk=life long patients. The “information” should really b common sense, but this world has lost its mind, and it’s sad to watch it happen.

    • Bj Lincoln

If their true self means they need to have life long needed medication and needed medical procedures so the outside matches the inside then so be it. Being trans is a very real thing that can show itself in very young children. Accepting a child’s true self or loving them enough does NOT stop them from being trans. People from all kinds of situations are trans. Just like nothing stops people from being gay. The issue is not being accepted as trans.

      • Jack anderson

Sexual preference has nothing to do with gender identity. I believe someones sexuality is instilled from birth. We will love who our heart is drawn to. “Gender” on the other hand is easily manipulated from outside forces. We learn from society what it means to be and what is expected from males/females. And wen those roles, toys, clothing etc don’t align with our ❤️ we start questioning our true self, and yes this happens at a very young age. Parents should love their kids enough to reassure them that they are capable of anything they desire, regardless of their given sex. Ain’t that what gender equality is all about. This is a sickness of the mind caused by the society we have created. Little sensitive soft boys who feel they will never live up to being a man and lil girls who realize early on that their body’s will b what matters instead of what they can offer the world (for example). Those who are encouring these negative thoughts and self doubts are leading kids down long roads on a path to something unattainable. Studies have proven that big majority of gender non conforming kids will grow up to b normal healthy GAY adults, IF left alone to grow and experience life as one should. Parents: accept that ur child might not b a stereotypical boy/girl and non conforming kids: embrace that uniqueness and accept ur true self, body mind and soul. How can society truly accept someone who refused to accept their true self!!! That’s what I will never understand. I choose to live in reality and I hope like hell this world wakes up soon

If DNA proves a boy is a boy and a girl is a girl, then boys and girls will not be affected, and you don’t have to watch the show if you cannot handle the fact that there are indeed feminine boys and masculine girls that make up all societies.

They can say whatever they want to about the show. Since Roseanne turned out to be a Trump-ster, I decided not to watch it at all. Of course it’s easier that I didn’t like the last several seasons of the original show and the very last season wasn’t worth any of my time, in my opinion.

  • fuzzybits
  • Before Ellen and Will and Grace shows were only moderately and occasionally gay friendly. Roseanne was pretty good with regular gay characters. More than treat them well, she treated them like she did with sarcasm and mockery like she did everyone else. That’s inclusion. I don’t know how this reboot will fare. The track record on shows cropping up again decades later has not been good. (Anyone remember “Still the Beaver”?)

  • Heather Brooks

Ok I’m a mom of a transgender teen and I fully support this. It’s time America gets a grip on what’s going on. I also have a lesbian daughter and I’m a straight woman. Get over it. It’s life and your either go with the flow it get out.

    • Girlgoon

Kudos to you mom, im transgender and very nearly killed myself before finding acceptance

    • Bj Lincoln

My wife and I draw young people to our lives and over the years we have “adopted” a few. 2 of our adopted children came out as trans. We didn’t have a clue when the first one transitioned so we all learned together. We have been part of his support through hormones, I gave him his shots in the beginning, to surgeries. The second one was a kid we “adopted” 15 years ago in Ohio as a young girl in high school who my wife tutored Math. When she came out as gay, we helped her and her family. Years later and 400 miles away our grown child came out as trans to us during a Skype conversation. He was lost as to how to start so we filled him in and kept in closer touch. After a year of therapy he was ready to come out to his parents and start hormone treatments. It did not go well at all so he drove to our house and stayed to start the hormones. We are his support now that he gained confidence and was ready to move back home. Both young men have blossomed since transitioning. We have happier, healthier kids because their outsides match the insides now. You can’t turn your back on your kids when they need your help. Helping them be the best they can be means helping them no matter what that may be. All people have issues to deal with and being gay or trans are just more issues. They are NOT reasons to shun your kids.

  • cleos_mom

How are they going to square that with the original show’s last episode? Supposedly Darlene actually married Mark and Becky (2nd incarnation) married David.

Their kids would be double first cousins, either way.

    • tasteless chap

I guess we’ll have to watch and find out. ☺

      • cleos_mom

        • tasteless chap

          Whatever. Then never know.

  • Beckie McConnell

I was raised hearing the mantra , “God created Adam and Eve, man and woman” so when “Roseanne” came out, I noticed that a lot of the issues not normally viewed on TV were actually on this show. Needless to say 714 Delaware Street was the place to visit to see a various display of different views and outlooks on life. Nothing shown on that show was seen anywhere else on prime time TV. I choose NOT to sign this petition based on the fact that its views are culturally biased and non-negotiable. You are not allowing a “gray area” to exercise freedom of speech and freedom of belief. It’s called the sign of the times and I’m proud of Roseanne Barr Pentland Arnold Thomas for creating a free world for us fellow blue collar folks to get lost in every so often. So have a Coke and a smile and while you’re at it, kick back, relax, fudgin’ chill and crack open an MGD and read some of these following comments!! God Bless America!!

I WILL be watching the Rosanne reboot! Your dumb petition won’t keep the reboot from airing. The video introducing the reboot has over 4 million views. So, fail for you. ROSEANNE RULES!

  • canoebum

Don’t most children display gender characteristics which are both masculine and feminine? I don’t spend much time around kids, but from what I see, gender is appears rather malleable in young children. What’s the problem here?

  • tasteless chap

Whenever these musty prolapsed vaginas are against something, that’s all the endorsement I need to watch it!

You wear a trucker hat because you want to dude it up. You have a penis because of chromosonal instructions to your tissue cells. Neither of these stamps “MALE” on you.

  • Sharon Hensley

I like the show and I’m glad it’s coming back like it or not this issue is real trying to boycott the show isn’t going to make it go away I don’t think they’re trying to confuse children I think they’re trying to educate them you don’t get to decide for me if I want to watch the show which is what you would be doing trying to keep it from being aired if you don’t like it don’t watch it

  • blankman

Hate to disappoint the author of this but genetics is a lot more complicated than the stuff we were all taught in grade school (much of which was wrong in any case). There are XX men and XY women – fact is, a disproportionate percentage of female models are actually XY. And an XY woman can mature normally, experience menses, become pregnant and give birth to healthy children.

BTW – gender dysphoria is not the same thing as gender identity disorder.

  • Cee cee

This is not the first gender based character on TV. Bold and the beautiful has a now female character who was (only for tv) whos character was born male and now female who couldn’t have babies so her sister is the biological mother of the child. But the character is actually female no surgeries she was born female but her character at one time was male. Who cares anyways it’s tv and real life. Noone is hurting anyone. It’s up to the parents to make the choice if their child plays that role or not. The child probably is really trans anyways. Who cares.

  • Snarky

“Sexualization” is not what the Roseanne reboot producers are doing. It’s what One Dozen Moms are doing. They’re thinking about a child sexually. The TV show’s producers and writers are thinking about that child’s gender identity and expression.

    Two different things.

  • Fred L Anthony

the 9-year-old is the first “gender non-binary” character to appear on network TV.??? I guess the never watched SNL with Pat the androgynous character that was either or Thes Moms need to stop policing things and worry about their own family issues especially since they even lie about their name 1 million mos indeed more like 100 moms at best

  • Emma Duncan

Im always impressed that the 1 million mom’s are so sure that all children are as dull and thick as theirs, and therefore can’t tell the difference between television and real life.

  • kirstin trans-girl mtf transge

first off i can tell you right now most of thios post is fake not denying the roseanne part but im not going to get into that
the charecter mark as said as gender fluid if done correctly can teach kids something very importaint a lesson that you can do anything in life reguardless of your physical aspects a lesson kids need to learn young so they dont grow up feeling trapped or confined driven away from what they love solely because of a simply physical element

now i dont follow roseanne i never liked it cause it brought back a memory id rather forget
but if what your saying is true they are adding a gender fluid charecter then that is good those things are needed in our media so ppl can see the truth about trans and lgbt ppl instead of all the media crap and biases ppl have towards us
were just happy friendly lovable humans like everyone else living our life living as who we are and how were comfortable

reason i knew it was fake is cause theres no sources or other posts saying this the op of this post is most likly 1 of those fake news created used to attk trans rights and dehumanize transgender ppl

  • rationalicthus

Seems like the right thing to do is to boycott the show altogether.
