REVEALED: During Campaign Trump Signed Letter Of Intent For Licensing Royalties For Trump Tower Moscow

ABC News reports:

Four months into his campaign for president of the United States, Donald Trump signed a “letter of intent” to pursue a Trump Tower-style building development in Moscow, according to a statement from the then-Trump Organization Chief Counsel Michael Cohen.

The involvement of then-candidate Trump in a proposed Russian development deal contradicts repeated statements Trump made during the campaign, including telling ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos in July 2016 that his business had “no relationship to Russia whatsoever.”

The disclosure from Cohen, who has described himself as Trump’s personal lawyer, came as Cohen’s attorney gave congressional investigators scores of documents and emails from the campaign, including several pertaining to the Moscow development idea.

“Certain documents in the production reference a proposal for ‘Trump Tower Moscow,’ which contemplated a private real estate development in Russia,” Cohen’s statement says. “The decision to pursue the proposal initially, and later to abandon it, was unrelated to the Donald J. Trump for President Campaign.”

I’ll be back online later. (Putting off mowing the yard.)

          • JWC

          • TampaDink

For a southern “boy”, I’ve never been a huge fan of iced tea. (I occasionally do enjoy a cup of hot tea but n the south, ice tea is king). Great elder visits…Phyllis will turn 87 next week…11 days before my mom turns 87….and Vivian…at 100, is sharper than I am & probably in better overall physical shape, apart from her failing vision (cataracts & macular degeneration).
I may be hosting Jeff’s 17 yr. old nephew Zac for the holiday weekend…and have invited Jeff’s folks as well as his younger sister & bro-in-law down on Saturday for a visit to Lake Tribe & then cook out/pool party…weather permitting on Saturday. Still trying to lure Jeff (and our boy) up here. I enjoyed Rachel & Lawrence & hope that you will too.

          • JWC

Busy lad sounds you had a great time Rachel in 40

          • TampaDink

Twas indeed a busy day. I probably should have taken care of mowing the lawn before I left….since it began raining while I was gone & apart from tomorrow morning, it looks dodgy about when we won’t have rain in the coming days. I’ve set my alarm for the crack of dawn…o.k., for most people 9 am isn’t that early but for me, it takes effort to rise & shine. Hopefully I can knock out all of the yard before it gets rainy again. In light of what is happening in TX, I shouldn’t gripe about the weather here. Jeff has spent a great deal of time on the cuddle bed in these past few days….due to the terrors of thunder for our boy. Hope that you enjoyed Rachel & Lawrence as much as I did. Sleep well.

          • JWC

did we return to Tampa for Jeff and Sam?

          • TampaDink

Nope. Sorry that I’ve been a shitty correspondent. My nephew dropped of their dog around 8:45 last night….by the time he left, Rachel was over…then we had a minor incident. The pups were wrestling & fighting over who should be in my lap as I settled into Lawrence’s show. The vodka & soda that I’d just refilled got knocked out of my hand….the glass shattered on the tiled floor of the sun room….and then I spent a long time on clean up before pouring myself another. Today was a heavy thunderstorm day here (although Tampa finally had a break) then time sneaked up on me, I dashed off to meet a dinner invite from my sis-in-law’s mom. As I was walking back into the house, the landline was ringing. Jeff’s mom was calling to coordinate connecting tomorrow when she’s bringing his 17 y.o. nephew, Zac down tomorrow to spend the weekend with me. I may continue to be AWOL for the weekend. Hope that all is well with you & yours. The happy campers are now in Utah for a couple of days. Thanks for the head’s up on the David Mixner piece!

          • JWC

          • JWC

Ah nose you are busy just a quick hello

          • TampaDink

I am keeping quite busy with Jeff’s 17 yr. old nephew Zac here. He’s a good kid, very funny, & unlike my 17 yr. old nephew (Tom) there is no way for me to corrupt him…he came pre-corrupted. The extra benefit is having a 2nd human on hand while I have a 2nd (and extra needy pup here). We went to Lake Tribe Brewing last evening & again today. Today was their introduction of another in their Wild Wood series of sour ales….Mosquito is flavored with lemon grass, coriander & juniper berries, aged in oak rum barrels. It is my favorite so far. Zac had left his iphone charger at home, so after our visit to Lake Tribe, where he enjoyed their non alcohol ginger beer & some great bbq as well as the solo jazz vocalist, we drove up to Thomasville (about 40 minutes north of Tally) to his house to pick it up…visit with his parents & then with his grandparents (Jeff’s folks). We didn’t get back here until after 8, so both dogs were starving. Spoke with Jeff tonight, all is well at home. I’ll return Zac to his family on Monday afternoon…for a cookout then back here. My nephew & niece-in-law should be back Monday night to collect their little hellion. As of today, Dan & Lesley are in Colorado. I’ll be more present here in JMG land by Tuesday. Hope that you are having a great weekend!

          • JWC

Busy busy ya quiet here as JMG was all Trump I shut it down at about 1030 my time and haven’t been on since. Into Covert Affairs and bed soon

          • JWC

It is my Most Profound wish that “IRMA” doesnot like you and will head in a different direction than Tampa or Tallahassee

          • TampaDink

Thanks, John. Due to all of the weekend activities with having a spare dog & Jeff’s nephew, Zac, I’d not been following the weather. At this point, unless Irma takes a turn north & away from her projected path, I’ll be driving down later in the week to collect Jeff & Sammy. Jeff remains convinced that his car cannot make the journey. Mine is 6 yrs. older than his & has 3 times as many miles on it. “But the battery light keeps coming on”…..never mind that the check engine light in my car has remained on since before I inherited it a year ago. I’ve got some errands to run today but will check in on JMG more now that I’m flying solo again.

          • JWC

With Irmas Path Ia m deeply concerned for you guys all the best We are back to orange smoky skies Hang in there my friend

          • TampaDink

We’re keeping our eye on the NOAA website. When I went to Costco for vodka, I though I might as well go ahead & fill up the car with gas. The line looked like it would be at least an hour wait. Opted to skip that. Went to the local grocery for a few items, good thing I wasn’t looking to buy bottled water or bread. People are freaking out. Having lived in FL almost all of my life since age 11, I’ve been through so many false alarms…..but since Irma seems to be a really strong storm, we won’t ignore her threat.

When Dan & Lesley were camping near Cascade Locks, Oregon they took a river boat cruise. Said that the smoke from wildfires made it feel as if they were in the Smoky Mountains.

          • JWC

          • TampaDink

Thanks for the tip. I suspect that would be most important for the occasion of driving through deep-ish waters. Since it looks like I’ll be doing a round trip tomorrow, I doubt that there will be any of that sort of troubles…unless I take a wrong turn & drive into a canal. (not gonna happen!) My native Floridian, almost 87 yr. old mom thinks I should take a gas can…in case I run out. Keep in mind, I am now in possession of what was her car….a ’98 Honda Accord. Even at slightly above posted interstate highway speeds, I made it here from Tampa on less than half a tank. I don’t think that I’ll run into gas shortages tomorrow….but if I were to wait until Friday, that might be another story. I enjoyed my secret lesbian girlfriend’s show tonight….missed most of Lawrence due to phone calls. Since I’m doing laundry…I may catch his encore performance at 1 AM.

          • JWC

Extra gas and a bottle to pee in should you be in standstill traffic

          • TampaDink

Due to my I.B.S. & unreliable bladder, I have kept an empty bottle as well as what I call my “shit kit” in every car I’ve had for nearly 20 yrs.. The shit kit includes a roll of paper towels, a package of wet wipes, a change of clothes & a couple of bags to collect roadside trash (shitty paper towels, wet wipes, etc) as well as a bag for any salvagable but soiled clothing.

          • JWC

Oh Denis you are way way ahead of me I assume you will be off most of tomorrow but do drop a “Hi there” when you get back to Tallahassee. You will be in my thoughts all day tomorrow

          • TampaDink

Belated thank you for your well wishes. My round trip on Wednesday went as well as it could. By interstate highways, the trek is about 260 miles, a 4 hour drive. I didn’t get as early of a start as I’d hoped….and ran into torrential rains as I headed east on I-10, fortunately the weather (completely unrelated to Irma) cleared as I headed south on I-75. I made note of the northbound side of the highway being, for the most part, a 3 lane parking lot for the last 100+ miles of the trip. I spent less than an hour at our house, gathering important documents & as much of the contents of our freezer as we could get into our cooler. We failed to get Dramamine for Sammy. We left home shortly after 5 yesterday evening, faced typical rush hours traffic but I opted for the “back roads route”. Aside from Sam barfing all over the backseat of my car…which we’d covered completely with an old sheet…and him taking a dump on his bed when I stopped for a bite to eat, our return…my choice of alternate route resulted in only about a 5 hour return trip. Spoke with my sister who lives about 90 miles north of Tampa this afternoon, she reported that even the “back roads” were all completely clogged. We are grateful to have my brother’s home as our evacuation shelter…and Sammy & Pebbles are enjoying exhausting each other. I’ll try to keep you posted on what’s going on with us….we don’t expect to see any effects of the storm until late Sunday night at the soonest. Meanwhile, my bro & sis-in-law have decided to come home ahead of schedule in advance of Irma. Hope that all is well with you out there on your island.

Meanwhile near the Iranian powderkeg, this is happening:

White House ‘pressuring’ intelligence officials to find Iran in violation of nuclear deal
Intelligence analysts, chastened by the experience of the 2003 Iraq war, are said to be resisting the pressure to come up with evidence of Iranian violations

‘Donald Trump has said he expects to declare Iran non-compliant by mid-October, the next time he is required by Congress to sign a three-monthly certification of the nuclear deal (known as the Joint Comprehensive Programme of Action, or JCPOA). And the administration is pursuing another avenue that could trigger the collapse of the deal.
David Cohen, a former deputy director of the CIA, said it was “disconcerting” that Trump appeared to have come to a conclusion about Iran before finding the intelligence to back it up.

In another move reminiscent of the Iraq debacle, the US administration is putting pressure on the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to be more aggressive in its demands to investigate military sites in Iran, just as George W Bush’s team pushed for ever more intrusive inspections of Saddam Hussein’s military bases and palaces. The US ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, visited IAEA
headquarters in Vienna to press the agency to demand visits to Iran’s military sites.’
