Trump: Mine Is The Best Presidency Ever

The Hill reports:

President Trump on Friday said that “few, if any,” other administration had been as productive in its first seven months as the Trump administration, citing the White House’s progress on job growth and other non-legislative achievements. His tweet came just minutes after he criticized Senate Republicans for not passing more bills, calling on them to get rid of the legislative filibuster. In a second tweet, Trump quoted author Nick Adams’ praise for the Trump administration from his book “Retaking America.”

  • Michael R

I see he got his folder full of good news today ,
even though the guy who was in charge of that quit .

  • Galvestonian

    Sickening … just sickening.

  • Tawreos

Wait until the next WH press briefing and all the reporters asking Sarah to name the bills passed, and what his accomplishments are in in regards to the rest of the list.

    • Joe in PA

Look, the President has been very clear….

Works every time. Or at least she thinks that line works every time. ;( She said it again in response to some question about paying for the wall. She’s doing GREAT!

      • Frostbite

Well compared to her psycho serial animal torturer and killer brother, she’s f’ing amazing!

        • Joe in PA

          So there’s that. πŸ™‚

        • Bob Conti

Not really a high bar, is it?

      • kanehau

Please speak with the State Department about that issue.

      • Gerry Fisher

Ohhhhhh, I hate that introductory phrase.

        • Joe in PA

I know, I tune out when the first word is “Look”. πŸ™

    • FAEN

But she won’t and as usual she’ll spin it into something else.

It’s a pity the press don’t push back when they get an answer to a question they didn’t ask.

  • CB

    Keep telling yourself that, precious.

  • Hanwi

Someone please hit me in the head so fucking hard I don’t wake up for 3 1/2 yrs.

    • Tawreos

How about only a year so you can vote in the midterms and then we’ll put you out until 2020, will that be OK?

      • Hanwi

        I’ll go for that!

    • Guest

      That won’t be necessary

    • Frostbite

And people wonder why the opioid crisis is out of control, right?

  • Kevin Perez

    Giggle. Best dumpster fire ever!!

    • FAEN

All the terrific people are saying so.

  • what a little bitch. one of the hallmarks of a great leader is being able to present your point of view to opposing sides and hash out a compromise. NOT to change the rules so they don’t participate.
you really are a FUCKING IDIOT MORON.
    #PresidentPutz

    • lattebud

A good compromise is when no one leaves the table completely happy

  • Gustav2
    • FAEN

And certainly not for the better.

  • Harveyrabbit

    Delusional fuckwit sez what?

    • Frostbite

Says pretty much everything Trump does!

  • ZRAinSWVA

He’s stroking his ego so hard, I’m surprised white stuff isn’t coming out of his mouth.

    • Frostbite

That’s only in the final stages of rabies I think. Give him time.

  • S1AMER

“Pathetic” is such an inadequate word in 2017.

    • FAEN

YES! Wish I could upvote more than once.

  • Michael R

See – he’s hardly concerned about Russia at all .

  • BearEyes

la la land feeding a narcissistic ego
No, killing consumer protection and environmental regulations will not create jobs

  • IAMBOWLINGGREEN

      Except every other Presidency?

    • crewman

Nobody who’s doing that well has to continuously try to convince people (or himself?) of that.

    • Reality.Bites

Although I’d say it really took till Obama’s second term that people “just knew.”

      • lymis

Some of us knew far earlier than that.

Again on the filibuster. Only this liar can talk about passing so many bills and say bills aren’t passing eleven minutes later. • Bj Lincoln

Yes! Exactly! It doesn’t matter if it’s good for the country or not. Mostly not.

        • Nowhereman

I heard that is the only question he asks before he deletes a regulation or executive order.

    • Nowhereman

And the things he thinks are accomplishments are things that take us backwards. The Supreme Court seat was stolen. Cutting regulations that improve our lives is not an “accomplishment” to be proud of. Bush 43 tried his damnedest to put us into the Second Great Depression, which Obama pulled us back from. Trump may just succeed where Bush 43 failed. He’s sure torn us apart socially.

    • JCF

And Stevie was just talking about Nixon…

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hYPl3f_npw

  • FAEN

What frightens me is how his mind actually believes this! His ‘administration’ hasn’t done bubkis-the number of bills passed tells the story-yet he’s convinced himself otherwise.

This is not normal and this person should not be in charge of anything much less a whole country.

    • Joe in PA

The Up-Vote for the use of the word “bubkis”. Good job.

      • FAEN

        Ha! Thanks matey.

    • Hunter M

He’s trying to convince himself. It’s all about his ego.

      • Bluto

It doesn’t help that he has a lackey administration of nazis that gladly stroke his tiny dick in 1 hand while stroking his ego with the other, all the while saying how bigly great & virile he is.

      • RoFaWh

And in his heart (insert usual caveat) he knows he’s a shitty president who’s done nothing significant in his seven months except wreck existing institutions.

    • Galvestonian

He has been pulling this crap for so many years ( tell everyone an absolute lie and keep telling it – because you are obviously rich – many people believe the lie ) — many years ago a T.V. show called ‘Candid Camera’ & where they pulled stunts on the public and filmed the stunts sometime with extremely funny results. One of the stunts that I particularly remembered was of a really ragged and obviously poor man asking a pedestrian for a cigarette – he was ignored, cursed at and always – always turned down. Then they had an extremely well dressed gentleman in a chauffeur driven Rolls Royce who asked from the rear seat with the window down the same pedestrians for a cigarette – some of them gave him an entire pack of cigarettes and looked as if they wanted to do even more.

The Donald has been doing this for so many years and it worked so well that he knows that he can get away with any thing and now with the office of the President of the U.S. behind him his bullshit works so much more – Lie, lie and lie some more and the idiots will suck it all up as absolute truth.

      • Jwmvh

I’ve been thinking about you and the hurricane. I hope you’re OK. I’ve been reading JMG since his second year. I feel that I know many of the posters here. Be safe and my thoughts have been with you.

        • Galvestonian

Oh man, bless you … It hasn’t been too bad here in Galveston – just tons of rain – then it slows and stops giving the sewage system time to drain into the bay – My house is less than 150 feet from the water and the street directly in front of the house had been flooded up to and over the curb once or twice but the system ( so far ) works. Houston is getting hammered as they are completely interwoven with bayous and creek/streams – there have been hundreds/thousands of poor souls evacuated in Houston — 50 miles up the road from the island … many of them are fleeing to the island as we are indeed dryer. Thank you, thank you for caring. I really appreciate your concern and love you for it.

  • bambinoitaliano

Apparently the syphilis is devouring what’s left of his brain cells.

    • RoFaWh

Maybe it’s not syphilis. Perhaps it’s that brain-eating amoeba.

  • Butch

OK, so with a category 3 hurricane bearing down on Texas Trump has yet to name a head to FEMA or NOAA. We’ll see how things go in the next few days, me bucko.

    • Joe in PA

Those damn obstructionist Democrats! You know he’ll blame Obama. πŸ™

      • Todd20036

        They blame Obama for Katrina.
        I wish that were sarcasm.

    • Skeptical_Inquirer

The GOP is always whining and bitching about the need for less spending and less government . . . until disaster hits THEIR state then they scream “Money! Need money!”

      • FAEN

        Exactly.

    • Max_1
    • BJORN RAGNVALDR

      Not his concern. Obviously.

    • BobSF_94117

People keep saying there’s no FEMA Director. There is. Has been since June. And, to top it off, he’s eminently qualified.

      It’s very suspicious…

      • Butch

I guess I’m still right about NOAA; strangely, the article about the lack of a FEMA director popped up in a current newsfeed. I read the article this morning, not realizing it was from June. My fault – I should have looked at the date, but figured since it was in a newsfeed today it was current.

        • BobSF_94117

News feeds should include the publication date under every teaser. There ought’a be a law.

          • Bad Tom

Absolutely. This notion that articles can be served from any time with no regard for dates is crazy.

          • RoFaWh

I wish Youtubers would always state where and when the video was recorded.

I don’t think they much cared for him either hence the shipping him off to military school.

      • Tawreos

Or maybe he was so much of an asshole even back then they just had to get away from him.

        • geoffalnutt

Let’s put it this way: when he was born he turned around and slapped his mother.

        • RoFaWh

“Reform school, and be quick about it, Fred.”

      • barrixines

it wasn’t really a serious comment but why indulge the masturbatory gibberings of this arsehole at stool every morning with careful consideration? That said, the twat has spent sixty nine years of his life stuck in the terribles twos – it doesn’t actually speak great things about ol Fred and Mary.

        • FAEN

I bet they wondered how they ended up with the asshole as well.

Honestly a good clip round the ear when he was little would have helped.

      • William

That’s taxidermy Margaret Thatcher on the left.

        • FAEN

LMAO! Dude that really made me horse laugh. Bless you.

      • RoFaWh

Remember, those “military” academies are really private reform schools for fucked up children. And I don’t think they do any good except to keep the kids out of circulation for a few years.

I was very pleased to see that little Barron has escaped his grandmother’s demand that the men in the family always wear formal business clothing (i.e. coat and tie).

I don’t know if she herself used that exact phrase, “formal business clothing”, but the ha ha moment comes with learning that business attire is by definition casual clothing, not formal. Talk about poseurs!

No wonder the Drumpfs have never been allowed to enter the ranks of NYC high society. Their exclusion must really piss President LIar off. Good.

Back in the 1970s, I was standing is a disco eyeing this hot guy across the dance floor. He was eying me back.

    Whoee!

Then…another guy walked up to the hot guy and tried to talk with him. The new guy was, well, not attractive. He was skinny, older, badly dressed, and with (oh, the horror) bad greasy hair.

The hot guy was clearly not interested so I was unconcerned about my chances.

Then the new guy whispered something in the hot guy’s ear, who looked startled. He then look down to the new guy’s crotch. In a flash, the new guy unzipped his pants, and pulled out…a whopper. Geez. It was huge. My eyes bugged out.

And at that moment I knew I had lost.

The next moment Hot and New left.

    The moral of the story?

SHOW us Donnie what you’ve done. We ain’t impressed by your TELLING us.

“As much of our food is pre-prepared, it is impossible for us to entertain requests that the recipe be varied.” Even for a peanut butter sandwich and a glass of whole milk.

Take that, vile gluten-free people, nasty vegans, insecure look-at-me types. Eat what’s on offer or don’t eat at all.

        • ColdCountry

Absolutely! People with food allergies should not be allowed to eat in restaurants. They’re defective! They should stay home, away from the “perfect” people. Better yet, deport them all!

Dude, you need to pop that zit.

  • Bluto

“PC” is about being respectful of our fellow brothers & sisters, ensuring that all are treated equally & with dignity. Crushing this isn’t making us great, it’s making us into inhuman barbaric assholes.

    • Ross

      Amen.

People who rail against being PC?

What they are really saying is:
      1) I wanna be a total ass.
      2) And I don’t want to be slammed for it.

      • Bluto

PC gets out of hand or abused at times. It’s a work in progress that constantly requires redefinition & boundary expansion. The zero sum blame game is bullshit though, there are no limits to civility & freedoms. Any human elevation is progress for us all while denigration sets all of humanity back. I don’t understand how conservatives cannot see what to me is so obvious.

        • Ross

          Conservatives are oblivious to obvious.

          I suspect it’s genetic.

      • Ann Kah

They don’t admit that what they say is just their own version of PC. What’s acceptable in one society is scorned in another. He isn’t talking to people who would admit they liked any policy of Pres. 44. They’re expected to be against anything and everything that Obama did, and would be booted out of the club if they actually decided to think about an issue. Knee jerk is the “PC” position in the GOP.

    • Just keep in mind that when a right-winger gets snide about political correctness, what they’re really talking about is social acceptability.

    • RoFaWh

It’s even simpler than that: good manners (e.g. Emily Post, Miss Manners, et al) says to refer to people by the term they prefer.

“Gay”, not “homosexual”, “queer”, or “fag”.

“Black”, not “n-gg-r”. [Is “black” the currently preferred term?]

It’s not difficult and it’s polite.

Supreme Court, really? He is milking that for all its worth. Just wait until he rules against something Trump’s in favor of. “He wasn’t my first pick! I had to choose from a list! He wasn’t at the top!”

Anyway…I get more upset every day that SO many idiots fall for this shit, day in and day out.

  • stevenj

Well he did bankrupt the Secret Service budget in a record 7 months.

  • boobert

    Who’s he trying to convince?

    • Everyone, including himself.

    • RoFaWh

Himself. We had the briefest of discussions of this yesterday or the day before, revealing that those with malignant narcissism are fundamentally ashamed of themselves.

I just wish President Liar would demonstrate some of that shame openly.

      • William

Is that what the pissing Russian hookers are all about?

  • RoFaWh

    He’s pathetic.

  • juanjo54

Empty cans make the most noise.

  • Stop taking credit for the fucking Supreme Court, asshole. McConnell outrageously kept a seat vacant for a year so you could inherit a vacancy. You signed your name to a document with a name provided by the Federalist Society. McConnell rammed the nomination through. Donald Trump did jack fucking shit about it.

    • infmom

And now he’s screaming and cussing at McConnell for “not supporting him.” You know that worm is gonna turn real soon now.

  • Nowhereman

I would laugh, but it’s just not funny.

  • Jim Maloney

He counts signing executive orders, etc. to turn back things as ‘accomplishments’. Allowing plastic bottles in National Parks: accomplishment. Removing the bike rack at the White House: accomplishment. Etc. Most normal people wouldn’t.

    • Halou

He probably counts his Muslim ban twice because he signed two executive orders, both of which failed but don’t tell Donald that.

    I just figured out what tRump main problem is . . . . . . .
    hold for drum roll . . . . . . . .

7 months in The Office of the President of the United States of America,
    and not one bowel movement.

  • Halou

I would really like to see the Republicans scrap the 60 vote majority rule in the Senate, so if, or indeed when, the Democrats regain the majority they will spend the remaining two years of Trump’s presidency meticulously picking apart every single one of his “achievements”. Not all at once though, better to do it one issue at a time to prolong the humiliation and embarrassment of not just Trump but the entire Republican party, if they are stupid enough to do as they are told they should suffer for it.

  • infmom

You know when he calls someone the best ever on a Friday morning, that person will be cleaning out their office by Friday night.

  • david fairfield

From an entertainment standard, this WILL be the best presidency ever!

  • JCF

If there was EVER an argument for the 25th amendment!

    #2545!

  • Barry Childs

Had to step away for a bit to throw up. All this moron has done is hand gifts to corporations and shit all over the rest of us.
