The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports:
Former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci is coming to Liberty University. Via Twitter, Scaramucci confirmed to The News & Advance that he will be at LU in November. Scaramucci did not confirm an exact date for his appearance or the purpose of his visit. Contacted by phone, Liberty spokesperson Mitzi Bible was unable to provide additional details.
Via text LU President Jerry Falwell Jr. directed a question about Scaramucci’s appearance to David Nasser, LU’s senior vice president for spiritual development, who has announced convocation speakers in recent weeks. A voicemail left with Nasser were not immediately returned.
Though Scaramucci’s appearance has not yet been confirmed as convocation related, political heavyweights have been prominently featured at past convocations, including Trump and other 2016 presidential candidates such as Ted Cruz, Bernie Sanders, and sitting U.S. Congress members.
