Joe Arpaio Vows To Go Public With “Abuse” He Suffered At The Hands Of The Obama Administration [VIDEO]

LOLOLOL. The Washington Examiner reports:

Former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio vowed Wednesday to go public about the “abuse” he endured as a result of the Obama administration’s investigation into his law enforcement operation in southern Arizona.

“This goes back to the former president — [former Attorney General] Eric Holder. Sixty days after they took office, they launched this investigation and here it is. When I was running for office, contempt of court, misdemeanor. They did it politically,” Arpaio told Fox News host Sean Hannity.

“After this is over, Sean, at the appropriate time, I am going to go public and talk about the abuse of the political and justice system. People have to know the true story. If they can go after me, they can go after anyone in this country.”

      trump

    • Todd20036

I’d agree with you, but I still have less respect for the GOP and for Trump.
Arpaio could only damage one location in Arizona and affect only a few 100 people.
Trump and the GOP can affect the entire country, so they deserve more contempt.

      • boatboy_srq

The GOP isn’t Dr. Evil or Let Luther. It’s not a single monolith with a grand scheme for world domination/destruction. It’s 27% (+/-) of the US Electorate, each with the power to affect a few hundred. Arpaio is a single instance of the whole – no better not worse than the others, and only more visible thanks to his position.

    • Galvestonian

      He’s a Republican – what do you expect ?

I am going to go public and talk about the abuse of the political and justice system.

Absolutely. If he experienced injustice, air the grievances. Maybe he has some points.

On the other hand, it might backfire on him and reveal that he is thin-skinned and distorting the law to meet his person agenda, with no regard to the damage he does to other people.

It’s pretty amazing how the people that so happily do damage to others based on race often seem to be insanely sensitive to being criticized themselves.

  • VodkaAndPolitics

This might be a good time to remind the audience at home that Joe Arpaio RAN A FUCKING CONCENTRATION CAMP FOR LATINOS…. http://14544-presscdn-0-64.pagely.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tentcitycover.jpg

At this point I think we need to seriously consider if a secret Nazi/KKK infiltration has been occurring in this country all along, and if the President is part of them. It seems oddly suspicious the people who have flocked to Trumps side…. Joe Arpaio, Jeff Sessions, Roy Moore….

There’s no secret infiltration. Anyone who was paying attention before last year’s election saw the affinity between neo-confederates, neo-Nazis, and the current Republican Party. Yet astoundingly, millions of Democrats decided to sit out that election.

WAAAAAHHH !!!!! Poor baby. Did they imprison you in the desert, exposed to relentless heat? Did they attempt to emasculate you by making you wear pink underwear? Or were your meals not to your liking; were they a tad under-cooked?

How much has this toxic racist pig cost the taxpayers of Maricopa County after all the lawsuits due to his abuses?

    • Todd20036

They elected him. They deserve their poverty

    • jmax

      From AZCentral:

Former Sheriff Joe Arpaio may soon be pardoned for a criminal-contempt conviction stemming from a long-running racial-profiling case, but county taxpayers are still on the hook, now to the tune of nearly $70 million.

About $24 million has been funneled to case-related expenses this year alone, adding to the $46 million incurred since 2008. Costs will continue to mount for the foreseeable future.

That is just the taxpayer’s portion. The county’s insurance policy also has paid out undisclosed millions of dollars.

      • Dreaming Vertebrate

He should be required to pay that all back, through hard labor.
That’s gonna be a lot of license plates, just to break even.

      • RoFaWh

Never forget that it’s fundamental in Anglo-saxon jurisprudence that no one is above the law. The Brits chopped the head off Charles I to prove that point, and chased his son James II off the throne to reinforce the lesson.

Arpaio and Trump are two peas in a pod. be relentless bullies and skirt and circumvent the law. when the shit hits the fan, tell us all about your victimhood.

you can’t imagine some of the shit Arpaio was complicit in. when I lived within the city of Phoenix boundaries in 1998, a judge lived around the corner. Arpaio didn’t like her decisions, so there were two unmarked sheriff”s cars parked in front of her house, 24/7. they followed her husband to work each day, and sat outside. they followed the kid’s bus to school, and sat outside day.

he had another judge arrested, Gary Donahoe, right on the bench, while court was in session. he had two members of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors arrested in the middle of the night, at their homes.

he gave his deputies carte blanche to do whatever they wanted. they beat a quadrapalegic to death in his wheelchair (all on video), because ‘they didn’t like his attitude’. they hauled a hispanic woman from a porch for no reason, saying she was ‘illegal’, even when she showed them her California driver’s license. they threw her in a cell, and wanted her to sign a declaration that she was in the country illegally. when she refused, they broke her wrists. when she still refused, they broke four of her fingers. everything was on video.

another incarcerated Hispanic woman was forced to give birth chained to an iron bed, with no doctor or nurse present. another Hispanic woman was thrown in jail, never charged, and left there for four days. her family told the sheriff’s office she was diabetic, and needed her insulin. they refused to give it to her, and she died the next day.

Arpaio was famous for his “raids” of businesses, but he would never begin until all the TV cameras were present, and rolling. he would haul in anyone who looked Hispanic; many times over 400 people, and one person would be found to be undocumented out of the 400. the other 399 (all US citizens) would be held in jail, uncharged, for 3-7 days.

Arpaio would do raids in Hispanic neighborhoods, where there were no issues. during one open mic moment, Arpaio was heard to tell deputies to stop cars without probable cause, saying, “tell them they have a broken tail light, and walk back and break the motherfucker, then rip the car apart”.

these are only a few examples. there are thousands more. during the Arapio years, Maricopa County paid out more wrongful death and incarceration claims than all five boroughs New York City did.

    • Dear god…

    • David Milley

These are the horrific details that get swept aside in coverage of Trump’s frog-march to pardon Arpaio.
