CNN’s Ana Navarro Goes Off: Trump Is Not Only Unfit To Be President, He Is Unfit To Be Human [VIDEO]

Mediaite reports:

Ana Navarro continued to completely tear into President Donald Trump over his Saturday press conference on Charlottesville. Appearing Monday on CNN, the republican strategist — who has been one of Trump’s most vocal critics on either side of the aisle — railed against Trump for his comments condemning violence “on many sides.”

“He was a coward,” Navarro said. “He didn’t have the spine to behave like the leader of the United States. And I find that to be shameful.”

She added: “I’m glad [Republicans] are finally — finally! — stopping looking the other way and confronting the fact he’s not only unfit to be president. In my book, his lack of empathy, his lack of leadership, his lack of courage, he’s unfit to be human.”

  • Rebecca Gardner

    Awesome!

  • BJORN RAGNVALDR
  • bkmn

Hey MSNBC, if you want to beef up your coverage from the right you might want to go with Navarro instead of more extreme nutjobs.

    • UrsusArctos

I might watch a “Talk” style show with all disgusted GOPer hosts. Navarro – Rick Wilson – Steve Schmidt – Nicolle Wallace have all been on point for a while. I used to think Republicans were all “party before country”, but there are some that seem to have a patriotic core.

      • Lakeview Bob

I’m afraid that the use of “some” is very true. But the “some” is a very small “some” unfortunately. Not all republicans are racist but chance are that if you are a racist then you are a republican.

        • UrsusArctos

I was close to a version of the old southernism “The only good snake GOPer is a dead one”. 45* has brought some decent people who are fighting for the wee bit of that party I agree with, i.e. we should all be patriots. I guess redeeming yourself too late is better than never.

  • FAEN

Your party nominated him Ana. We tried to tell you for years that the GOP was sliding into this swamp of willful ignorance, racism, homophobia, misogyny and xenophobia but you wouldn’t listen.

Now we have Nazi’s in the WH. Think about that.

    Glad you’re finally speaking out.

    • swimboy

I’d give her more credit than that. She’s been an outspoken critic, specifically fighting against xenophobia in the RNC since before the election.

      • FAEN

I will agree that she’s been outspoken since his nomination but for years before that she towed the party line. While I’m glad she speaking out why did it take her so long?

      • She was alive in 1992. What about 2016 came as a surprise? This is what the party has been for decades. Is she that stupid that she didn’t see it before last year?

        • swimboy

Well, she was only 19 years old in 1992, so I think she deserves a pass, there. She was also outspoken before the last election, but didn’t get as much attention.

    • Ninja0980

Not just us but people like my grandparents and uncle who left the party they were life long members of for this very reason.

      • FAEN

I’ve met a few life long Republicans like your uncle and grandparents that are so disgusted they’ve left. It’s quite amazing. I wish more of them would leave.

        • kcken

Same here. A few I know have left, but they still hope for a 3rd party because the “Democrats are Tax and Spend”

They’ve watched so much of the GOP (Fox) hatred that they’ll never trust a democrat.

Not sure where we go from here…

    • In fairness, though, she spoke out against him during the primary and during the general election campaign. While there are a million reasons why I don’t understand why anyone would be a Republican, at least she’s always tried to get Republicans to reject Trump.

      • FAEN

I give her credit for that but where was she when Bush 43 was using our community as red meat to the right wing so he could win an election? Silent.

I’m glad she’s speaking out and has spoken out against Trump but IMHO when this disaster of a POTUS is done she’ll go back to pushing the same BS her party has pushed for decades.

    • kcken

Decades of this racist hateful shit, and now that its embarrassing on the world stage, they squeak out a tiny mea culpa …

It may have been masked racism in the past, but it’s openly on display now, right from the white house on down.

      • FAEN

        Absolutely.

    • UrsusArctos

She’s been one of the voices in the wilderness. Still a GOPer, but has been calling out the folly of selling the party to someone this dangerous.

      • FAEN

And given how loyal she is to the party even if she leaves it she’ll probably push some third party candidate that has no chance of winning but has every chance of being a spoiler. I hope she proves me wrong.

        • UrsusArctos

          Ramen!

    Well, it’s your party, bitch!!!!!

We’re assuming that using a baby as a human shield would still turn his supporters against him. Fox News would have someone on within minutes to argue why the baby had it coming.

        • clay

Lucky for us, there are next to no babies at Trump rallies.

    • Mark McGovern

I dunno Jon. You can’t say you are unbiased and not have the other side represented. CNN takes heat from both sides. That, to me, says they are doing their job. FOX takes heat from the left only. What does that mean? They represent the view of one side only. We don’t need an official “Left” network; we need unbiased news. Recall when Piers Morgan was having the gun debates. Had he presented as an unbiased reporter, he might have made headway. Instead, he came off like a fanatic.

      • The_Wretched

” CNN takes heat from both sides. That, to me, says they are doing their job”

It’s entirely possible to fail to accurately portray something while also simultaneously upsetting everyone. Kodos and kang did it with “abortions for everyone”.

        • Mark McGovern

I concede it is possible. Nonetheless, they try to represent both sides of the news more so than FOX. My main criticism of CNN is that it over-focuses on select issues -they need more world and other news. My main advice to anyone is to get news from a variety of sources.

      • Jean-Marc in Canada

That’s not what asking for. One side is being purposefully dishonest and CNN does not call them on it; and when they do bother to call them out, it’s passive to the point of mewling acquiescence . As such, there’s no real honest debate going on. Have people on who have a degree of integrity from both sides of the debate and have the hosts hold their feet to the fire when need be. then we can see honest discussion. What you have now is nothing more than a joke and a bad one at that. Honestly, in Canada, Britain, Australia and other western nations, the media has both sides on, but it’s not the circus that American media is. There’s no real discussion, just a lot of yelling and screeching like banshees. To be sure, there are moments of real discussion, but those are rare beyond rare. American journalism is not really unbiased so much as entertainment these days. Surely, you can’t deny this.

        • Mark McGovern

Yes I do deny it. Cuomo consistently calls the out the right on the lies and misrepresentations, as does Anderson Cooper. Cillizza calls regularly calls them out in print; and also calls out the left when warranted. I’m not a fanatic consumer of CNN, I get my news from a variety of sources, but I think they must represent the other sides’ view point, or they become FOX.

  • AtticusP

Last week’s Trump is no different from the Trump that descended the escalator to announce his candidacy. He’s the same man we’ve seen all along. He provided plenty of opportunity to see who he was throughout his campaign. Some voters chose to turn a blind eye, others didn’t care. Who couldn’t see how this would turn out. He was unfit to be president then, and he is now.

Trump has no moral compass. As president he can never be expected to take the moral high ground on this issue or any other. As a candidate and now president, Trump ideologically sympathizes with racists, white nationalists and neo-fascists and consequently he will never condemn those ideas nor the individuals who traffic in them. Trump is morally and ethically bankrupt and always has been throughout his entire adult life.

    • UrsusArctos

What’s another bankruptcy to him. *sigh*

  • I’m sick of her. Was she really unaware that this kind of racism is the base of her party? And she’s still a Republican?

Her break should be over now. Yes, she voted for Hilary. She also made it very clear it was done with nose closed and Hilary was the lesser of evils. That did not help persuade others to do the same. She should admit it and change parties.

SHE wasted an opportunity before the election.
