James Woods Predicts Civil War If Trump Is Removed

Raging douchebag and faded Hollywood actor James Woods lit up his 750,000 Twitter followers last night by predicting civil war if Trump is removed from office thanks to those filthy unpatriotic Democrats.

Woods last appeared here on JMG when he launched a homophobic attack on Anderson Cooper over Cooper’s now-legendary eye roll at Kellyanne Conway’s expense.

Some of Woods’ fans responded to last night’s tweet by revealing how many guns they have and how ready they are to murder fellow Americans in the name of Glorious Leader.

  • bkmn

He is such an idiot. Trump will be removed by the GOP since they are in power.

    • Xuuths

And he keeps telling us how smart he is. Huh.

      • TampaZeke

Yeah, so does Trump. Addled minds think alike.

      • Steverino

Just goes to show having a high IQ sometimes doesn’t mean a goddamned thing.

Unless, of course, he cheated when he took the IQ test, as is the Republican way.

    • Do Something Nice

Exactly. It isn’t Democrats leading the charge on this.

    • Palmer

But the non-thinking horde will still blame Democrats. Facts don’t matter in Trumplandia.

      • Bad Tom

But that suggests that their ability to prosecute a civil war is nil.

        • Palmer

          It isn’t?

    • Chris Baker

And who are they going to go to war against? And what would a “win” entail? Trump back in the White House? He would then have to run for election again in 2020. And as we have seen, it’s Congress that actually makes the laws and the changes in the US. The President has very little power to do anything without the support of Congress.

      • RJ Bone

If it gets to war, we’ll have permanent martial law. They won’t go back to the way it is now.

      • Randy503

Right now, they just want to use their precious guns to shoot people they don’t like, thinking somehow that will break the logjam. I can see them targeting journalists, tv news, media outlets, and liberals and democrats of all stripes. Watch out Planned Parenthood, because they will surely bomb and kill anything there, just because. Any LBGT centers too, along with any mosques, and places they think are their enemy, such as colleges and universities.

Remember — they want to “teach us a lesson” and “bring us to heel.” The next civil war will be just random acts of terrorism against the Liberal Elite.

While Woods is a flaming pile of shit, I agree with him. Trump has inflamed his base to a fever pitch (and let’s not just blame Trump, this has been the Republican strategy for over 30 years. Welfare queen anyone?).

We’ve already seen a huge increase in hate crimes targeting minorities. And I just heard Thom Hartmann talking about how gun deaths, shootings, suicides, guns used to ‘defend” all have gone up significantly. He posits that this is due to the massive increase in guns during the Obama presidency when the NRA used the “Muslim dictator Obummer is going to take your gunz!” meme to drive up sales of weapons and ammunition.

As we’ve seen from threats on social media, actual hate crimes and videos from rallies, there our thousands of goobers itching for any excuse.

    • another_steve

Income inequality combined with unresolved southern genetic grief re the Confederate Army’s loss in the American Civil War.

      • Gustav2

If only we in the Underground Railroad/Grant and Sherman state, Ohio, had not let the hordes of white immigrants from Appalachia and the South come and take our factory jobs in the last century!

        • JAM661

Intereting point because as climate change makes the South harder to live in guess where these people will be forced to be moving to. States like MN need to protect themselves from these dumb uneducated, hateful people who will try to make their new home as crappy as their old one. Full of fear and hates for anyone who is not like them. Their ruined their own states and should not be allowed to move to another a mooch of them. Then maybe they would have a very tiny taste of what it is being a unwanted refugee.

    • Treant

True. But on the up side, they’re not very organized and it’s gonna be difficult for them to get organized. There’s no leader of theirs that isn’t more in it for themselves than for The Great Cause.

      • Skokieguy [Larry]

Trump with his ‘rallies’ is prepping them that no matter what the basis for his removal from office, its all fake and a witch hunt. That 1/3rd that still supports him will never accept as legitimate that he has committed crimes.

        • Treant

Yeah, but imagine Trump trying to lead them. 🙂

          • Skokieguy [Larry]

Oathkeepers, militia groups, KKK, Richard Spencer, there are plenty eager to grab power.

          • Treant

            Now imagine the infighting. 🙂

          • Todd20036

            That involves walking. Up stairs!

        • GeneInSJ

I’m as concerned as you are about this. I see the anger all over. If we don’t end up in Ireland, I’ll probably make sure we’re armed.

      • Snarkaholic

And their motor scooters only run for four hours at a time.

    • The reality is that Trump will not be removed from office until those very Teabaggers that are the core of the GOP primary voting base turn on him. Few Republicans are going to take on Trump in public much less vote to remove him as they are far more afraid of a primary challenge from the right than a general election. We just had a town hall here last night and our idiot teabagger Congressman was rude and dismissive of anyone who wasn’t a far right loon. They don’t have to care about the rest of us. They are beholden to the base that keeps them in office.

So if Trump is removed it won’t be the likes of us that makes that happen. It will be his own fans turning against him, and I don’t see that happening.

      • JAM661

I would think it would happen if Trump got his real agenda in place. For example if he was to gut healthcare and SS and other programs these people need they would be pissed. Right now the right have them centered on Democrats taking their guns away as being more important then their healthcare. His numbers are dropping though and I think more Republicans are seeing him as weak because he has done little of what he said what he was going to do. I also think we need laws for the press that if they pass fake stories that they should required to spend as much time on the air recusing their false statements as they did on the original story. For example if they spent 400 hours spreading Obama birther lie they should have spent 400 hours stating their mistake. This crap of reporting false fact or misleading ones hurts us all.

    • Ricardo Cantoral

Correction, fake crime hoaxes. Also, not once did you establish any correlation between those acts of violence and Trump’s Presidency. If I jump out of a window right now, is Trump to blame ?

  • joeyj1220

    what a drama queen

is it just me, or they a bunch fucktards?

  • The_Wretched

Tim McVey thought the same thing. All that got us was the bill for a building and the dead within (including a child care center). RWNJs sure do love mass killings. That’s not, however, enough to kick off a civil war.

    • Oh, Parker

These militia groups also seem to be blissfully unaware that they are being surveilled.

      • The_Wretched

Trump closed the branch that watched Christian militias.

I always think of Plan 9 From Outer Space … yet wasn’t that another decade and another Woods? (Yes, Ed Wood).

—- Hmm, I vaguely only remember him in the Onion Field (ha, film).
Jeepers, he went to M.I.T.? Proving you can be smart and crazy:

James Howard Woods is an American actor and producer. He is often known for villainous roles and appeared in a variety of films, including The Way We Were, The Onion Field, Videodrome, Once Upon a Time in America, Best Seller, Chaplin, Casino, Nixon, Vampires, Straw Dogs and White House Down. On television, he is known for portraying the titular protagonist of Shark, and for playing himself on eight episodes of the animated series Family Guy, as well as on one episode of The Simpsons.

  • Treant

    I’ll just say it.

Ok. Bring it. Just like last time, we have two thirds of the population and almost all of the heavy industry. You will lose. Except this time, I’ll be loudly demanding that you return as client states at best–protectorates at worst–and have neither Congresspeople nor Senators until you learn how to follow the Constitution.

Alternately, we can just let you go. Enjoy your coming Fourth World status and complete lack of infrastructure as we’re the states that have been paying for everything for you takers.

    Bye.

People will need to get to work, raise their children, go shopping and pay their bills, take care of their loved ones…oh the list goes on and on…

Trump is not a big enough issue of which many Americans do not understand to back to justify a “civil war”…

There will be NO civil war unless it takes place on social media…

Those days are OVER…sorry James (Alex Jones, Fox News, Ann Coulter, oh the list goes on and on) you do not get to sit in your ivory tower of wealth and privilege and dictate the terms of engagement while others fight and die in your mythical “civil war” against Trump…

      • Randy503

Oh, I can see groups of people thinking they are the new confederacy. The first thing they do, before any shot is fired, is purge their local community of blacks, gays, muslims and atheists. They will likely shut down any local college or university too. The economic uncertainly will make their local economy crater.

Then they will huddle around their underground bunkers, eating their carefully preserved food while they argue who to shoot first. Should they march on Washington? That’s a long way to go, and they’ll have to pay for motels, food, supplies, etc. March on their state capital? well, they will find many local allies there, so just randomly shooting people won’t get them much sympathy. Plus, the governor will likely call out the National Guard and that will put down any “insurrection.”

So yes, I can see attempts to rise up, but they will be quickly defeated by our far superior armed forces. But not before a lot of damage is done, and many innocents killed.

But then they will go home, and ask for “war reparations” from the federal government.

      • opbook

I hate to disagree, but I think you are all taking this too lightly. I have been predicting a civil war for several years now and it is not about Trump, however I think Trump may be helping to speed it up. It is actually about race. I grew up a “straight” (came out at 25) white man in Indianapolis Indiana ( Indiana is the birth place of the klan).

I know what these right wing races people think. I have been saying, the country is about 73% white now and when it gets to where the white population is at or around 50% these people are going to war!

Think about this. (when I say WHITE MEN, I am referring to Trumps 33 %)
Who are the people that are building bunkers? WHITE MEN
Who are the people that are buying and hording guns? WHITE MEN
Who are the people that control the money? WHITE MEN
Who are the people that control the media spin machine? WHITE MEN – Fox News and the like are already spinning BLM as terrorist.
Who controls the police forces? WHITE MEN
Who controls the military? WHITE MEN

I could go on but I hope you get the picture.

It would not be difficult for some idiot WHITE MAN to start a shoot out with a BLM crowd or a Black Panther group and claim self defence or even that “they” started it and Fox News and the like would spin this into an us against them thingso fast your head will spin and ALL these 33% (which is actually A LOT) will be more than happy to strap on their guns. Just like they have along the border and the Bundy Ranch . . .

Once it starts it will continue to grow. Their will be a lot of white people who otherwise would not “get involved” that will end up in a position of having to take sides. The Hells Angels themselves could do major distruction many of the passive types will run to Canada or try to “hide out” somewhere.

I’m telling you these people are prepared and have been preparing for this for years. The rest of us are not prepared and we will loose unless we also star preparing for this exact scenario.

There are “Militias” forming all across the country. Who do you think the people joining these militias are? WHITE MEN

        • JCF

          See re my comment above:

“If the Constitutional process removes Drumpf, I have ZERO doubt that the police&military will follow LAWFUL orders.” Yes, even WHITE MEN police&military.

          • opbook

I agree. But that really has nothing to do with the uprising from the far left that could follow at some point in the near future after such removal. Hitler didn’t start gassing people over night. It was a process of instigating fear and hatred into those willing to accept his position that they were in danger and needed to act.

Have you ever seen the videos of the police hosing down black people just for congregating in the streets? Did you not see the police gassing the so called 99%ers who were simply sitting in a peaceful protest? Where was the constitution then?

You are under estimating the power of persuasion. . . by WHITE MEN

And ignoring the fact that there are racist on the police force and in the military who could be very persuasive in some circles.

      • jonfromcalifornia

Yup. The rightwing Christians also prophesied/promised a massive “civil war” if same-sex marriage were enacted.

        • TrueWords

          EXACTLY and NOTHING…

    • crewman

They are literally anti-American. They are chomping at the bit to start a war when the legal political direction of this country isn’t to their liking. Impeaching a president is entirely constitutional. In fact, I would suggest it was added for someone exactly like Trump.

But beyond Trump, they want Civil War because they are against what America stands for. The fact that Stephen Miller bristled at what the Statue of Liberty stands for is not just another Trump oddity. They do not want “all men are created equal”. They want, “White Christian wealthy men are superior.” They want the Confederate cultural and economic model. That is un-American. They are traitors to this country.

      • Steven B

Agree 1000%. But the Electoral College was also added to protect us from someone like Trump and you see where that got us.
This is going to end and it’s not going to be pretty

        • Nowhereman

Also, the tradition started by Nixon that a person running for president disclose their tax returns needs to be codified into law. Republicans don’t respect tradition if it is inconvenient for them.

        • Link Drako

Wrong. The EC was instituted to give smaller states a fair vote. The EC is corrupted, but it’s not a bad system. We are bad people for allowing these jackasses to rule anything outside of a fucking toilet seat, and most of these morons can’t even make those work right.

          • Steven B

That’s not what I learned in high school. But I agree with the rest of your comment.

          • JAM661

What Democrats lost the common vote and got in because of the EC?. I cannot think of any either. The other issues is that we have had 2 case in the past 3 presidents which shows the people vote is starting to mean less and less. I dont think just because a state has less people it should take priority over states that have a large population. We balance that off by having the Senate by having 2 Senators no matter how small or large the state is. Also EC decreases democracy because it does not allow minority members vote to have equal power. Many people who live in Red states and are more liberial stay home because they feel their vote means nothing and vice versa. The problem with that thought is that those other local election are just as important as for federal positions. (If you dont believe me just look at how different states are doing so much better serving their residents then others.) For example MN and WI you could say were sister states until Walker became the governor. Now the state is in debt while MN has a surpluse in their budget. While Wis cut funding for education MN just added another 50 millions so all children can go to kindergarten. Wis is also losing business while MN and Minneapolis metro areas is one of the faster growing for new business opportunities. Even service have gone done considerable while MN has one of the best Recreation opportunities in the country. The difference grows each day and the biggest difference is WI now is runned by Republicans and while Republican have a very small majority in the state house the Governor is a Democrat. The EC was was meant to be used as a last resort to protect the country from someone who was totally unfit to be President from gaining office. However some states have changed their laws so that the EC must vote the same as the people did which takes that power away from one of the reason to have the EC and the other is to allow slave states that had lots of people but since slaves could not vote and only counted as 4/5 of a person for census purposes a equal voice. What we can vote for now has expanded greatly. For example about 75 years ago the party made the choice who would be their candidate for president and other positions since their were no primary elections. In fact in 1800 only about 20% of Americans were allowed to even vote since you had to be a white male and a land owner, so if you were a renter or a indentured servant, black, women, or anything else they could think of you did not vote. Today voters suppression is alive and well just like the first day we became a country. Today the only difference is how it is done.

          • Steven B

I hearned that the Senate was instituted to level the playing field for smaller states while the EC was conceived as a failsafe tool to protect against exactly this scenario.
This is, what?, the 3rd or 4th time we have elected by EC and, if I’m not mistaken, each time was for the Republican candidate. Never the other way around.

      • Nowhereman

These guys were gonna rise up to get the half white guy out of office, too. All talk, no action. I wonder how many of them would actually show up to an armed rebelution. I’m guessing 5, maybe 8.

        • Steven B

I disagree. There are plenty of armed militia gooks out there. Don’t forget the 33%. And look at those replies he got from his tweet. “30k rounds of ammunition …59 guns between me and hubby.” There are a lot of people out there. I said above there will not be a civil war but there WILL be armed riots.

          • Oh, Parker

The military would be on our side in any such scenario. One military vehicle packs enough firepower to take out an entire neighborhood. One minigun can spew enough bullets to cut a house in half. Not to mention all of the high tech crowd control equipment that decades of black budget Pentagon money has created. They’re living in a fantasy if they think the power structure is going to fall on its sword and let their assets burn to protect a failed real estate developer who had to secure loans in shady banks overseas to keep himself afloat. The deplorables won’t like war outside of a PlayStation. If they had any brains to begin with they would have found a way out of whatever situation is making them so fearful and angry.

          • Steven B

I never said the rioters and armed militia couldn’t be handled. I merely pointed out that it will be considerably more than “5 maybe 8” as suggested by the post I was replying to.

          • Oh, Parker

Which is a great way for them to actually get their guns confiscated, alive or dead, and for the survivors to lose their right to ever own one again. I’m not worried.

          • cleos_mom

Maybe; but may I suggest you look up what “gook” means.

          • Steven B

Oops. I meant goofs. Typo has been corrected.

          • JAM661

Hopefully then we will get all those private prison filled with real criminals instead of people who have the mental disease of addiction.

          • Nowhereman

They will be put down like the traitors that they are.

      • Jeff Eby

Eloquently stated. They never got over losing the first one. They just spread out over the nation. I wonder where their home base will be. Maybe Mexico?

    • Ricardo Cantoral

Do you honestly think that gun owners are completely localized within the confines of the south ?

      • Treant

No more than you should think that liberals don’t support the Second Amendment and own guns.

Or, I’m known as an ultra-left liberal. Break in here and you’re going to get a 500 meter per second surprise.

        • Ricardo Cantoral

Well, your side has a tendency to put government over individual rights. Hold on to those guns because you’ll need them you finally realize that big brother wasn’t on your side.

          • FAEN

Say what? I don’t remember the republicans on the side of individual rights when it came to my right to marry.

          • Ricardo Cantoral

            Did I say Republicans ?

          • Dean Treadway

Yeah, you love this little technique. Sounding like a Republican, but then, when your opponent calls you a Republican, you say “I never said I was…” So let’s clear it up now: what are you? And, oh, god, please don’t say you’re an independent thinker. Because you obviously are not.

          • Ricardo Cantoral

I take it back. I am a conservative.

          • Dean Treadway

Ahhh, well, at least we got to the bottom of something here. Why do you try and snake around people by making them feel dumb for calling you what you really are? I mean, can’t you get one-up on opponents using the facts you hold up as being truthful? Why do you feel you have to trick them in some way?

          • Ricardo Cantoral

            Hell, I didn’t even say I was a conservative.

    • Thomas Cleaver

We should have ethnically cleansed the South the last time. I look forward to doing it this time.

“30k rounds of ammunition …59 guns between me and hubby”

And assuming you both have 2 hands, you can only use 4 at a time. The other 55 cannot fire themselves. Idiots!!!

Sadly that’s how many of the HS shooting happen. Teens taking guns from family members.

      • Oh’behr in Minnesota

Or the local water park. (oops, no watersports joke in there).

      • sevines

It’s mostly the children of liberal gun owners who shoot up schools, and the overwhelming majority of mass shootings are committed by Democrats.

        • Alex Amerling

Quit fucking lying. Of course, you are a Trump supporter, that’s all you know how to do. Pretty sure Dylan Roof was a right wing extremist but nice try fucker.

        • Thomas Cleaver

Does your spinal cord reach that mass of mush between your ears?

          • Jeff Eby

Nope, Thomas Cleaver, only as far as the brain stem. Reptillian behavior.

        • Bill Paul

Wrong sevines. The majority of mass shootings in the US are by mentally disturbed people. But if you wanna just compare mass shootings between extremist liberals and reactionary right wingers, the reactionary right wingers wins hands down.
But you keep believing what Rush and Alex Jones tells you. Or whatever news bubble you live in.

        • JAM661

Really where is your proof. Basically mass shooting are done by people who have mental issues with guns. Considering many liberals do not what guns around their children you comment is not based on facts. Remember most liberal would only want to see the only weapons being held be people would be shot guns used for hunting game animals.

        • Matthew Thomsson

Reading and beliving all those crackpot theories on Alex Jones again I see.

    • Ninja0980

Consider how low you have to flunk the IQ test to be a Flyover Loser.

      • Link Drako

Really? Because I would think that would be the republicans. Considering how well they spell and read anyways. Have you seen the signs of protest from the Right and Alt-Right? Yeah, we learned that shit in grade school…. How the hell can someone not know how to spell Capitol? Or even their own fucking allegiance. Seriously, how fucked in the head do you need to be to not be able recognize whom actually thinks for themselves solely on the basis that they disagree with something/someone?

I mean, do I agree with everything Liberals say? Nope. But I believe even less from a republican now a days. For damn good reason. Anyone with half a brain, who pays attention can see what the fuck is going on. Its sad that our country has sunk so low.

    • BJORN RAGNVALDR

Yeah, we have guns, too. We just don’t feel the need to constantly brag about them to make ourselves feel better regardless of other short comings we’ve been dealt…..

I don’t know a single gun owner who has ever felt the need to brag about their firearms, left or right. The only time I hear right wing firearms owners getting mad is when the left wants to deprive a person of their Constitutional right to have a gun.

        • FAEN

          LOL-sure Jan.

        • unclemike

Well then your “right wing firearms” must never get mad since nobody wants to deprive a person of their Constitutional right to have a gun.

          Thirty-round clips, however…

          • Ricardo Cantoral

“common sense gun laws” you call them which aren’t common sense.

          • unclemike

They also aren’t second amendment bans. Find another straw man, Dorothy.

          • Ricardo Cantoral

It’s an alternate method to deprive citizens of their rights. This is no different than designating an opinion as “hate speech” in order to undermine the first admendment.

          • unclemike

Even Scalia said that the second amendment is not absolute. Go peddle your papers somewhere else, kid.

          • Ricardo Cantoral

Strawman. I never stated that the second admendment was an absolute. Rep. Trey Gowdy summed up what needs to be done, prosecute those who lie on their gun applications. Secondly, end the disasterious drug war. Most of the gun homicides are committed by drug dealing gangs.

          • Thomas Cleaver

Does your mommy know you’re playing with the computer?

          • Link Drako

Wrong again. Most gun deaths are kids, and cops in America today. There are less an less gang related crimes in America and more an more police related deaths and child deaths due to lax gun safety in the home. And that is from a republican source btw.

          • Ricardo Cantoral

Yes but in the real world, a majority of those gun deaths are gang related according to the CDC.

          • JAM661

You are right however gun death from other reasons are on the rise and gang killing are go down in most cities. The thing to remember is not the numbers but the fact that one death in a home from a angry parent who decides to kill his family or small child who finds a loaded gun and shoot another family member, friend or themselves is a huge tragedy. This is why certain gun laws should be in place. For example I would make it a law if you have a child under 18 that their must be a gun lock on the gun and if used by a child or found without the lock when the child brings it to school or shows up somewhere else with it the parent should be held accountable as if they did it themselves. This is just common sense and while you may teach you child gun safety it does not mean a child visiting knows the rules when they find a loaded gun. I would like to see before a person to be able to buy a gun that they take a short class (could be over the Internet) on state laws and safety aspects and then take a wriiten test at state driver license places. Finally they would need to take a short class on how to load, unload, clean, check the chamber, safe keeping ect and finally spend sometime at a shooting range (or show that they can do this). This could be done in about a hour if the gun store has a indoor pratice range. Someone who is familiar with guns could by- step some of the process (for example Veterans or law enforcement). But to many people buys guns who know nothing about them. We require a lot longer process to be able to get a license to drive then owning a gun. This is not a attack on gun ownership or to even t limit guns but to ensure safety in are home and neighborhoods. PS while I do not own a gun now I have in the past and served 6 years in the active Army and reserves.

          • Ricardo Cantoral

Well, you are going to have to tell me what gun deaths are on the rise. I think it’s suicides and if that’s the case, then it’s a mental health issue. Secondly, there is a reason why the application process for a driver’s license is longer; car accidents kill more people than guns. You have a better chance being killed a car or dying from a hospital infection. I don’t think classes are an unreasonable demand here in New York, that would just be an excuse for the state to take more money away from you. In the state of Arizona, their gun laws are practically non-existent and yet none of their major cities can rival the gun homicide rate of Chicago and Detroit. I think no it’s inevitable that one would visit a gun range to fire a weapon and there are plenty of people willing to teach an amateur about guns. Are people irresponsible with guns ? Of course. Yet, more are killed in this country by cars than guns.

          • Link Drako

That is the most moronic statement. You don’t even know what the fucking constitution is for do you? Do you know what it protects and from whom it protects those from? Seriously, I want to know if you actually understand this….

          • Alex Amerling

Ok go ahead and hand out AR 15s to mentally ill people. What can possibly go wrong? Conservative “logic” ladies and gentlemen.

          • Ricardo Cantoral

            1. AR 15s are often used for hunting. Not one has been used in a mass shooting.

            2. I am not a conservative

            3. There are too many gun laws and more will do nothing. It’s already a felony to lie on a gun application and yet such crimes are rarely prosecuted.

            4. Saying that conservatives or libertarians want the mentally ill to carry guns is a strawman. Stop watching CNN.

          • Thomas Cleaver

Nobody with any brains uses an AR-15 for hunting. You don’t want to use a weapon designed for wounding for a clean kill. Now we know how much you know about guns, little boy.

          • Link Drako

Actually, its a very nice rifle for hunting. As an avid hunter, it falls wonderfully inline with hunting needs. Also, the mini14/15 does extremely well also.

          • Karl Runcik

not enough stopping power for larger deer, unless you get an exact shot.. my friend is a hunting guide he had an ar15 and every time a client used it, they had to track down the animal do finish it. I personally use a bolt action Springfield 1903 30.06 and I prefer it, over the 15, I hit an animal with mine, it isn’t getting back up.

          • Link Drako

I’ve taken down pretty much a full range of game in my life.

And if you can’t shoot straight an take game down properly, you ought not be hunting in the first place. One shot, one kill. Anything less is inhumane and wrong.

          • Ricardo Cantoral

So how are you dealing with those heavy flow days ?

          • Link Drako

Wrong. an AR has been used many times in mass shootings. San Bernardino was one such case.

          • Ricardo Cantoral

Not one AR-15 was used in San Bernardino. An overwhelming majority of mass shootings involved a shooter with a hand gun.

          • Link Drako

That’s is an ignorant statement which you have put no real thought into. Literally a google search of the Mass Shootings would tell you that you are full of shit. Do you really think it’s wise to bullshit on the internet? Any idiot can use google, except you apparently.

          • Ricardo Cantoral

I did a Google search and according to a study conducted by Northeastern University, an overwhelming majority of mass shooting perpetrators utilized handguns. Try again.

          • Karl Runcik
          • Karl Runcik

            *nomenclature

          • Ricardo Cantoral

And they were illegally modified, what a shock ! A criminal broke the law in order to commit a crime !

          • JAM661

They guy who shot 50 people in the nightclub had a AR-15 and multiple hand guns. Most of these mass shooting are done with semiautomatic weapons because you can send out more rounds without reloading. In fact it is only when then person runs out of ammo for their semi weapon and go to a hand gun that is when they are stopped when they need to reload. When you have a hand gun you can fire 9 rounds a semi you can shoot 30 rounds. Also a Ar-15 is a weapon of war and has no purpose for being used in a home for personal protection. Also these semi-weapons makes it harder for the police to deal with and since they have a larger and more powerful then a hand gun they are lot more deadly and are accurate much farther away. Now why would you need to have a weapon that shoot 400 meter away in your home. Rarely do you hear someone being killed by a hand gun that was shot from outside the house and then went though a wall and killed a occupant but you do hear with Semiautomatic weapons. Hand guns do not have that power and will be stopped by walls but of course not windows.

          • Ricardo Cantoral

That night club shooter did not use an AR-15. That was the initial report that was later proven false. The ‎shooter used a SIG Sauer MCX semi-automatic rifle and a 9mm Glock 17 semi-automatic pistol‎. Regarding the AR-15, I won’t pretend I am an expert in fire arms expert but I heard such rifles are ideal for hunting small prey and deer. I don’t think the police would have an issue with such rifles given the fact that they are armed to the teeth, no ? As for the amount of accidental deaths by semiautomatic weapons, what are the stats ? That’s very important to know. The media tends to play up every accidental gun death like it’s an epidemic.

          • Ricardo Cantoral

I also should have written “Know” which I added. I am a better Grammar Nazi than you.

        • Gregory Phillips

oh wake up – republicans are the only ones who have have put on any restrictions on guns – Obama opened up National Parks to guns. the enemy isn’t liberal dems – it’s the corporations that own the government.

          • Ricardo Cantoral

I never said I was a Republican, dummy. Ronald Reagan started the gun control movement in the first place when he was Governor of California; he enacted the Mulford Act which banned citizens from carrying guns in public. However, that doesn’t mean the democrats are innocent in this matter. Just look at the gun laws in New York. Good luck trying to get approval for carrying a squirt gun in that city.

          • Randy503

Actually, squirt guns are more highly regulated than real guns.

          • Ricardo Cantoral

I can’t tell if you are serious or not.

          • Randy503

It’s true. High powered squirt guns are illegal to sell in Massachusetts because if used, they might cause harm to others.

          • Ricardo Cantoral

And try to buy any gun in NYC if you aren’t a cop, former military, or a jewelry store owner.

          • Thomas Cleaver

No, you just demonstrate that you are a Persistent Moron. And a bore.

          • Ricardo Cantoral

What is with the left and ad hominem attacks ? You get emotional on every topic like a thin skinned woman.

        • ChrisInKansas

          Fuck off.

          • cleos_mom

He wants you to ‘deal with it.’ Don’t bruise the delicate blossom.

        • Billy Navidson

FFS DID YOU READ THIS POST? Nobody, absolutely NOBODY’s second amendment rights are being threatened rn, and they’re talking about shooting up the fucking capital. You’re willfully blind, Ricardo.

          • Ricardo Cantoral

Do you see the post I was replying to, stupid ?

        • Link Drako

I have only known that to be true. Pretty much every redneck with a gun waves it around for the public to see. They would do the same with their dicks too if god didn’t screw them in that respect.

          • Ricardo Cantoral

Right, so what about the women who own guns ?

          • Link Drako

What? Are you even serious? Since when can women not be redneck trash? Lmao damn dude. You just constantly open your mouth an eat shoe lmao

          • Ricardo Cantoral

Please. You only targeted white males and you pulled the old dime store psychology bit about the over compensation for certain short comings. You are a cookie cutter liberal who hasn’t set foot outside of white suburbia.

          • Dean Treadway

So let me get this straight…you’re NOT a conservative?

          • Ricardo Cantoral

I am whatever you want me to be.

          • Dean Treadway

Hmm. I don’t have any definite desires on any front. Lemme ask you this…are you a real person? I mean. are you really a person named Ricardo Cantoral? Because I strongly suspect you are not named that, and that your intentions aren’t absolutely clear.

      • wmforr

That’s because we also have penises and don’t confuse the two.

        • JAM661

Some of use dont need penises either and can shoot just fine. My thought is that those who are always talking about their guns need to make up for their tiny penises to make them seem more manly since they cant satisfy a lady due to size.

    • Phaius

Well, when she’s occupied, the looters can go in and take the other 55 from her and her “hubby”.

    • 19Lyds

59 guns purchased at the local gun shop are simply no match for a mortar round or perhaps a howitzer.

30,000 rounds? I doubt that they’d even make it through 200 rounds before their little armament went up in smoke.

      • Karl Runcik

        or an M1 Abrams.

      • JAM661

Can you see what would happen if they had a fire in their place. To have that much ammo not in a fire proof safe is a accident waiting to happen and coukd also effect their neighbors if they had a major fire. I doubt the fire dept would even go into the place.

    • Orly

Seriously! And if you know what you are actually doing, you only need 1.

      • Link Drako

Sometimes not even a single gun needed. You would be surprised how easy it is to make nades or a Mcocktail. Believe me, you would rather get shot lol

    • wmforr

Wait a minute! They have guns? But… but… I thought Obama was going to take all their guns away. Where’s did they hide them when Barrack’s storm troopers bashed in the door?

    • JAM661

I hope you never have a fire in your home. Meanwhile maybe you should be reported to the FBI also since that is much more then is needed to protect anyone.

  • j.martindale

Democratic “dirty tricks”? You mean like stealing e-mails and colluding with Russians to spread disinformation about the other candidate? Those kind of dirty tricks?

    • FAEN

Gore and Hillary both won the popular vote, and we’re cheated out of the EC and WERE the ones with ‘dirty tricks’?

    • Tatonka

Don’t forget concocting a made up voter-fraud scandal designed to disenfranchise millions of Democratic voters.

      • j.martindale

Or fabricating lies about a murdered Democratic National Committee worker in order to distract people from the Russian investigation? Yes, those dirty tricks, lies, frauds and other misdeeds.

    • Ricardo Cantoral

E-mails which got down to the not gritty of her corruption. As for disinformation, what do you mean ?

  • Duh-David

Raging SEDITIONIST James Woods Projects Civil War If Trump Is Removed.

    • Dave F.

I think you mean raging asshole.

  • Tiger Quinn

They’re slowing dawning to the realization that even their dumb asses can’t ignore – that Trump is a Russian stooge. But there’s no way in hell they’d ever admit to being wrong, or let an evil librul win, so yeah – I do believe they’d burn this country to the ground, believing it’s the last gasp for them and theirs. And it’s time to let it happen, because if we really DO want to be rid of their shit once and for all, it’s not going to be through elections or educating them. They know what they are doing, and they get their way through fear and violence. We’re going to have to remove that cancer in the only terms it understands.

    • CPT_Doom

It’s entirely possible this scandal is as big and bad as we suspect (I mean money laundering, illegal campaign donations, coordinated propaganda between Russians and RNC). If it is and it blows up anywhere near as loudly and “bigly” as those revelations would normally cause, there is going to be a nasty backlash among a hard core group of Donnie’s supporters, but I don’t believe they’re anywhere near as numerous – in terms of those willing to commit violence for him – as he might think. For one thing, there would have to be clear and convincing evidence of crimes for the scandal to blow up, and that will eat away at Donnie’s support. Then you come to the fact that many of those armed MAGA fools won’t have the guts when push comes to shove. We likely will see some violence and potentially death, but it’s not going to change any outcomes.

      • Kissmagrits

It’s only August and already there’s an under reported incidence of
“buyer’s remorse” among Trump voters. By the end of September, we’ll be facing an even bigger problem…Trump’s single minded replacement, Christianist dominionist Mike Pence.

        • Oh, Parker

Mike Pence was as intellectually bankrupt in Indiana as he has been in Washington, but he will have the focus to do business and sign whatever horrible legislation his corporate masters want. That is, of course, if he isn’t caught up in Twitler’s scandals and removed as well.

          • JAM661

Pence is also under investigation for multiple reasons and I am sure he will go down where he will not run in 2020, or resign. But for right now us Democrates need to being talking to our neighbors and friends and deal with 2018. We need to take over Congress or the Senate if we have any chance to save this country. Everyone needs to get involved and vote. Next year I am hoping every Democrat will volunteer to help who ever is running for the Senate and Congress in their area. Go to the local meetings and learn what the real agenda is (not what the Republicans want you to think what it is) and inform those around you. Do not take your vote as being unimportant and dont let anyone tell dont bother because that person will never win. Probably one of the most moving I saw was in Iraq and the first time they had free fair elections in over 50 years. Because of security, people walked miles in over 100* weather to get to there voting place. Even though many were threaten with death if they voted they proudly displayed their purple thumb showing that they voted. Meanwhile in the US half of American cannot even bother to fill out a simple paperwork that takes 2 minutes so they can vote from home. (Most states now allowed vote by mail even if you are not disable or is a resident but lives in another area. In fact the only limitations is asking for the ballot within the time frame).

    • Librarykid

And if they attack the Government of the United States of America, which will be the institution removing 45, they can brag about all of the weapons and ammo they have, but they will be fighting the military forces of the United States, not their liberal neighbors. This coming civil war shows as much prior planning as the last one. Oops. Let’s hope there is a more definitive end this time. Stupid crackers.

      • Palmer

They believe that the military, from the brass on down, are on their side and will rally around their Fuhrer.

        • Derrick Johns

Well, I dunno’, Palmer. Some soldiers would say that their first duty is to defend the United States–even against traitors.
Oh, it doesn’t matter. We Liberals will all move to Canada…if they’ll have us up there.

          • Palmer

I said “thinks.” The way Hair Furor has treated the brass makes me hopeful that the military would stay loyal.

          • JAM661

To bad it is not very easy to move to Canada permanently.

        • Oh, Parker

          A fatal mistake.

      • Derrick Johns

Yeah, I thought about that too, Librarykid. They wouldn’t just be fighting New York and Massachusetts–they’d be fighting the US Military. The “basket of deplorables” have spoken again.

  • Pluto Animus

Why is it whenever the right wing are unhappy they immediately go to ‘civil war’? Are there no other gears but your way or civil war? Really?

Speaking of civil war-you should realize it’s still going. It never ended because a part of the population have never let it fucking go! At some point you’ll have to-the country and the world are changing.

Not even civilian firearms would do much against the armed forces. All these morons stocking rifles and ammo would be dead in minutes if they actually tried to rise up. Drones, tanks, airstrikes…what the fuck are a bunch of hillbillies with AR-15’s going to do to stop all that?

Remember all those times the feds didn’t shoot the Bundy militia idiots? It wasn’t because the authorities were outgunned…it was because they didn’t want another Waco.

      • JAM661

I think that is a big problem and adds to people fears. They hear a few cases of something about a certain group of people and then everyone in that groups is a threat. All Mexicans are rapist and criminals, all Muslims are terrorist, all Democrats want to take everyones guns away. Grouping people together like this is dangerous and is how Hitler got a whole country to think it was justified to send those against Hitler or where seen as burden or even evil buy using these types of tatics. The people effected where not just Jews but liberial and other so called political enemies, gypsies, Catholics, the disabled and elderly. When people see their lives get better and support the person that is leading that advance over time they forget to see how it effects others and finally they just dont care. One of the best thinks that Patton did when the American came across one of Hitlers concentration camps was to have the local town folks (who spent years just going on with life as the smell from the burning bodies was seen as just as a unpleasant inconvenience) go and see the damage that was done. Having to be required to bury 1000’s of Jews who were staved or gassed to death it would be something they could not ignore their part in it nor forget what they had llowed to happened. One German lady about 15 years ago talked about the day the American came and made them go to bury bodies. She talked about the smell and the mass of dead and starving people. Finally after doing this for half a day sort of trying to pretend it was not really happening she came across a neighbor and close friend from 10 years ago. Needless to say she though her purpose in life ever since that moment is to tell others about her experiences and how it can never ever be allowed to happen again. She also said no excuses could ever justify what happened and what horrible things the German people just turned a blind eye. It is stories like this women who have the courage to speak about what happened and how she allowed herself to make excuses in her own mine to say or do nothing. Germans did not just pretend the Holocaust was small part of their country but is something that is talked about and teached to school children so they learn how horrible this happened and how and why it happened. Here in the US slavery is disgust as being of another time without the discussion of how it was allowed to happened and why it was continued to happen (greed). Because our lack of not making slavery a major part of American history for most American is nothing but a after thought. I’m Americans are very good at just going on with their lives with not caring what happens in Washington DC unless it directly effects them. If their is one thing that I think many have learned (unfortunately not enough of has and is if Germany could go down that route what is to stop us from doing the same) that we cannot take our country nor the protections and rights that have in this country for granted. When you have threats too journalists for writing the news then you know it’s time to start to worry. We are at that point. We must stay alerts and get our friends and neighbors and talk about how these action by Trump is taking those right away piece by piece before are very eyes. We need compassionate elected officials who really care for use all, no matter if we live in a small town or large city, is black or white or in between, rich or poor, male or female, Christian, Jews and Muslims and get this country to support each other then attacking each other.

Oh really ? Outside of Ted Nugent, there were celebrities calling for Obama’s death ? There were riots and protests when he was elected, twice ? Even before Obama was elected, he was already being compared to MLK and he won a Nobel Prize for Peace even though he was at war longer than any President in US History. Don’t give me this false equivalence bull shit.

      • righteous mob

You’re spreading the false equivalency bullshit.

        • Ricardo Cantoral

Wow. You thought of that all by yourself ?

          • righteous mob

Jesus Christ, man, it’s much more original than your stunning riposte.

      • Randy503

Plenty of people were calling for Obama’s death. Many were Republican operatives who circulated jokes, cartoons, and photos of him being lynched, set on fire, etc.

        • Ricardo Cantoral

Again, not even close. There were no massive public demonstrations and calls to undermine our election process from celebrities. Even if a ton of Republicans hated Obama, you still can’t say riots and protests occurred in major cities when he was elected.

          • Dean Treadway

There were plenty of Tea Party protests. They were pretty massive. Job Voight and James Woods were very outspoken against Obama. Many still call for Obama’s death today…online. That’s where the riots from the con side are ocurring–on Breitbart and the like.

          • Ricardo Cantoral

Do you think the Tea Party only protested Obama ? You don’t even know what they stand for. Jon Voight and James Woods squawked ? They make up the tiny minority of conservatives in the entertainment industry. As for riots, where ? What possibly came close to the looting and destruction on inauguration day ? I personally witnessed a massive group marching up Fifth Ave in NYC the day after Trump won the election. A guy was recently slashed in the face for wearing a MAGA hat near Times Square. Online threats ? Who hasn’t received one ? Obama’s warmongering and unabashed racism us being swept under the rug by corporate media.

          • Dean Treadway

This idea that there was wholesale looting and destruction on Inauguration Day is a complete fantasy. Just because people were marching in protest doesn’t mean there was a long line of burning cars in their wake. For a bunch of reportedly tough people (you guys like to brag about that “toughness”), you sure are soft. Mostly in the head…

          • Ricardo Cantoral

Did you see the news, you idiot ? Even Salon and CNN called what happened in DC that day a riot. Freaken Portland Oregon had riots days after Trump was sworn into office. All this for what ? A man who was elected legally ? Softness is fear and that’s what the left has instead of logic. Only cowards burn a car because they don’t understand how the world works.

          • Dean Treadway

Well, it’s in protest of a massively inefficient man winning possibly legally, and now we understand possibly illegally. Yes, I saw the news. A burning limo. Some smashed windows. Big deal. If that strikes fear in you, fine…own it. But all that stuff didn’t end the world. The world went on, you know.

          • Ricardo Cantoral

I am sorry, I am wasting my time. You side with the hysterics.

          • Dean Treadway

Yes, I’m hysterical over the fact that our country is going to shit. I’ll keep on fighting it, though. He’s not my goddamn president, you can bet your ass on that.

          • Jeff Eby

JesUSSSS! I’ve been reading through these comments and even made a couple myself, but this has quickly devolved into knee jerk responses or blind rants. I’m done.

  • GayOldLady

James Woods: “If the #Democrats manage to reverse this election with their usual dirty tricks, there will be #CivilWar. This is not going to end well.”

I fear you like I fear the flower arrangement in my Living room. Idiots!!!

  • Rex

Certainly sheds some light (like we needed it) on the mentality of the Trump base. The funny thing to me is, Trump doesn’t give a fuck about any of them.

  • Twitter needs to die already.

  • Christopher

Washed up, irrelevant actor says what?

Dude, you’re a nobody! If you hadn’t opened your yap and proved to the world that you’re a colossal douchecanoe, your career might not be where it is today.

I cannot believe this guy still gets work.

  • DisqusD37

Trump seems the perfect catalyst for civil war given the collective low IQ of his base. Of course it would only last about two hours, the time it takes for their leader to have a bowel movement.

  • Thorn Spike

    Z-list actor wannabe sez whut?

  • Ken M

Whatever happens, you can safely bet that all he be doing is tweeting about it.

  • joe ho

Might be a good thing. Then we can fill the prison system with whites instead of POC and purge the voting rolls of the Trumpanzees.

  • Gustav2

The obstruction laws are a dirty trick! The money laundering laws are a dirty trick! Election laws are a dirty trick!

  • Boy Elvis

Yeah, and if there is a war I’m sure Woods’ soft little Hollywood ass will be right there in the front lines, right?

    • 2guysnamedjoe

Well, if that’s where the photo ops are . . .

  • Tawreos

With his reverse the election remark I am guessing he thinks that if Trump is impeached and kicked out of office Hillary will be the new president? Maybe he should learn how things work before he shoots his mouth off and tries to incite a civil war.

  • Mikey

over the hill washed out used to be celebritard says what?

  • Chicago joe

I got tripped up on the term ‘James Woods fans’ I’ll just mentally replace that with ‘whack jobs’. Now the story makes better sense. Also, I thought that Woods died ages ago.

    • ETownCanuck

      No, just his career.

  • Todd20036

Trump already disrespected the military. And they won’t do squat assuming trump is removed by legal means

Trumps base is a bunch of neoNazis who will gain no sympathy from anyone else

They’re also too old and sick to attack

When has this asshole been right sbout anything?

  • Rick Jackson

Southern born and bred, liberal, redneck here. Bring it on James. If you think you own all the guns, you are oh so sadly mistaken. I will fight to the death your right to be an ignorant asshole, but when you start threatening my friends and family be prepared for an old fashioned ass whoopin.

  • TampaZeke

What’s he gonna do when the GOP removes him for fear that he is going to destroy any chance that they ever have of winning another election?

And why should we be surprised that uneducated, well armed bigots and rednecks will start the next American civil war? They started the last one!

  • Gayer Than Thou

Really? Trump is the guy you want to have a revolution over? Trump?

    • Treant

They don’t care about Trump, not really. He’s just a symbol of the mindless resistance the far right has for any idea that benefits anybody but them.

They’re itching to “resist” against something and they’ll simply pick an opportune moment to do so. This time, I doubt they take Virginia with them, and they’ll be fighting a multiple-front war, so it won’t last long and it’ll give them something to whine about for the next hundred fifty years like the bitches they are.

      • Gayer Than Thou

Good point – maybe they should all just get together for revolution cosplay weekends and save the rest of us a lot of trouble.

      • UrsusArctos

Even in the lead up to the Civil War in the DEEP South, things weren’t cut and dried. There were counties in AL(Winston)/MS(Jones)/TN that “seceded” from their states because by and large they were poor and didn’t have a dog in the land/slave owners attempts to keep slaves and poor people poor.
There would be FAR more than state level front lines. If culture wars can divide families think what real action started by Trumpistas would do. THEY think they’re a majority only because shutting them up isn’t a priority for most people. That’ll change the second they act on threats. “Hold my beer” doesn’t usually end well for this type.

    • Tiger Quinn

No. The Russians. Keep up, please.

      • Bad Tom

        Even more amazing.

      • Tomcat

Yeah have a revolution to divide the country so Russia can take it over easier, makes No sense to me.

  • PickyPecker
    • Derrick Johns

Oh, my. What an evil looking chick. I’d be scared of that little chicky.

  • Halou

If Bin Laden carried a bible and waved the US flag the GOP would call him a hero.

  • Tatonka

“I’ve never witnessed such hatred for a man who is willing to work for free to make his beloved country a better place” I guess the past eight years were just a blur to him.

  • Ken M

So looking at this from a different angle, that would East and West vs Central, right?, The south east doesn’t have the balls, they will pray. They can’t fight a war and pay to be saved at the same time. How much property does their beloved POTUS, have in their necks of the woods?

    • canoebum

Please, when “war” breaks out, someone will key Wood’s car, and he’ll throw an epic hissy fit and drop dead on the spot.

  • kanehau

How hard could it be to beat a bunch of morons in motorized scooters?

  • PickyPecker

Oh, and they are SO sure they are ‘the ones with all the guns.’ >:)

    • Tatonka

I’m a bit left of center, but I also live in Texas. *cough*

  • Rex

Hatred for a man willing to work for free.
Yup, and we’re getting what we’re paying for – nuttin’.

  • Hanwi

That’s ok, if anyone kicks down my door they will be in for a surprise, a lot of Dems have guns as well.

  • paganguy

I can’t get past the “works for free” part. Great Googly Moogly. The Family Trump is using his administration to practically mint money.

  • Tiger Quinn

Yeah, Jenny and I had a nice little talk on Twitter – she was shocked, just SHOCKED I tells ya, to hear that there were libruls who owned guns, and surely they don’t know how to use ’em, they just bought ’em for “fun,” wait, WUT, you was in the Army, no way then how can you support gettin rid of Trump?! Ugh.

  • Woods blames his conservative politics for his lack of work in Hollywood but the reality is that he’s an asshole. He was even mean to Dolly Parton! Who is mean to Dolly! Clint Eastwood is also conservative and has no problem getting big name Hollywood liberals to work with him (because he treats actors well, and his movies come in under budget and make money). Woods is mean which is why he’s a conservative. He’s a jerk that’s just not worth the trouble.

    • Tomcat

Sounds like you are for trump remaining president.

      • Where the fuck did you get that idea?

      • Oh’behr in Minnesota

        Woods is humping for trump.

    • Dom Saunders

Is it bad that I’ve only heard of James Woods in the first place because of Family Guy?

      • No. He had a decent career at one point because he was do good at playing assholes. Come to find out he wasn’t acting.

        • Oh’behr in Minnesota

That is his claim to fame. Playing bad guys. Or as you put it. Playing assholes.

    • Reality.Bites

Kelsey Grammar manages to work not only in TV but in theatre.

But for the ones who claim being conservative costs them work, the claims invariably come from those who, prior to you finding out they’re conservative, you still had no trouble explaining why they’re not working. When an actor was working in good projects and isn’t any longer, it usually comes down to one of these:

      1. Their talent/looks/charisma isn’t enough to overcome the typecasting or the fact they were cast as a child, a novelty (like an athlete or singer) or for looks they no longer possess.

      2. Their personality or work habits are off-putting and they’re not a big enough name or talent to put up with it.

      • But Grammar also makes the same complaint on occasion. So does Patricia Heating. That in spite of them working all the time. I’m sure they’ve gotten disapproving comments every now and again. We hear on and on about how hard it is for conservatives in Hollywood but it’s just as hard for liberals in more conservative fields. I endured no end of “Hillary Clinton is so ugly/fat” jokes on Wall Street. But somehow it only matters when a conservative has to listen to a liberal prattle on. Academia is another one. I never knew the politics of most of my professors (why would I even ask as it wasn’t relevant to the subject) but the right wing ones make damn sure that you know what they think about things not related to the course. For all the talk about overbearing leftist tenured professors (and I know they exist) there are plenty of right wing ones, especially in the schools outside the northeast and west coast. I learned early on to keep my mouth shut about current events in the break room unless I knew who I was talking to.

  • GeneInSJ

Isn’t inciting violence and making terroristic threats against the law?

    • Treant

      Only against conservatives. Duh.

  • dcurlee

    He’s as mental as 45

    • FAEN

It fascinates me how and why people think the way Woods et al do. It looks exhausting-to always believe someone(a minority)is out to get you.

      • Ninja0980

But it’s how so many people live their lives.

        • FAEN

I know. Not to sound superior because trust me I’m a fuck in quite a few areas but I really pity them.

      • Oh’behr in Minnesota

A Black teen said to me the yesterday (while I was on Minneapolis light rail) something about how all white people have all the power and something else (I forget now, it wasn’t positive). I said to him that I don’t have the power and I wanted to say I could understand what he was saying, yet he said it in such anger, I knew we weren’t going to have a conversation. Before I could say much, he called me a bitch and walked away.

Yet, I don’t think minorities are out to get me.

Clearly this one young man has issues and anger.

Yet he isn’t all Black teens or men. Nor all Black people.

Yet I could see how someone conservative would say, See, they’re out to get me. If this had happened to them, based on this one incident.

I’ll go back to riding light rail again. I feel safe doing so in most instances (though this time riding in the first car didn’t work). As I come across my share of white people with issues and anger on mass transit too. However, while I don’t make it a hard rule, I’ve learned to not trust some teenagers or younger men. Nor people of some social classes. Nor if people are intoxicated or speaking really loud or crazy, regardless of their race.

I am white living in the city, yet on disability. I’m not rich, I am not the enemy.

        • Oh’behr in Minnesota

I’ve also learned to be leery of the suburbs. I hate the superior judgments I get there from people who are ‘riche’.

  • Ninja0980

Bring it on you worthless POS.
Btw, my family and friends have guns too and they’ll gladly use them if you come after me or others.
And if push comes to shove, I know how to fire a handgun.

  • disqus_D9pH1OIG67

The American people listened to an old, faded actor in 1980 and what a disaster that proved to be. Why would anyone listen to an old has-been, like James Woods?
He ought to fade away, like MacArthur.

    • Oh’behr in Minnesota

I agree with the first part. I forgot who MacArthur is other than a General.

  • GayOldLady

Go ahead, start a Civil War for a man who was terrified by one protester who got nowhere near him.

See! I told you so! This is exactly why you shouldn’t wear a speedo to the beach. One little grain of sand up in your butt-cheeks…and it makes ya crabby and bitchy.

  • canoebum

Woods is such an ass. I’m pretty sure Robert Mueller is a REPUBLICAN.

  • Tomcat

This guy has the nerve to speak of patriotism when he is helping a person that colluded with Russia to control our elections.

    That is precious.

  • jimbo65

It’s amazing how his tweets are a stream of projections. “I’ve never witnessed such hatred for a man who is willing to work for free to make his beloved country a better place. It is pathological.” “Dirty tricks” Apparently he wasn’t paying attention how the Repubs treated Obama.

    • Ninja0980

Or Bill Clinton or any other Democrat in this country.

      • Oh’behr in Minnesota

Plus they’ll go after even Jimmy Carter. He’s worth about 10,000 Trumps as he’s 90 (or over?) and still building housing for the poor with his own hands. And his wife does it too !

        • JAM661

Jimmy Carter ended up having to deal with alot of tough issues (oil embargo, high inflation, Soviet Union ect) but their is no doubt in most American minds that his decision were based on what he though were the best position at that time (I was really angry when he pulled us out of the Olympics) for the country and were not based on what would make him more popular or give him financial gains. If you want a example of a real Christian who care about the American people and this country then you need to look no farther then Carter. He is and has been a great role model who has helped so many in his quite humble way.

    • FAEN

      IOKIYAR.

    • BobSF_94117

Of course he could work for free (not that he is) because he’s triple over-charging the govt on rent…

    • JAM661

Trump save about 100 times more from his freebies then what his salary. Free air travel, security, free food, healthcare ect. Just he does not get a paycheck does not mean he works for free. Their is a lot of ways of paying people and Trumps is getting millions from the Russians in place of policy direction and favors by using real estate as their main money laundering scam.

  • Ken M

A civil war started by the poorer class to save a rich leader who doesn’t care if they drop dad tomorrow, that’s new. I pity them more than anything else. Guns or not, money wins wars, and they don’t have the money. Who is gonna buy their next rounds of ammo?

  • jerry

“…a man who is willing to work for free…” Even if he donates his entire salary, he is hardly working for free. He makes way more off the government in rents at his properties than what his salary would be.

    • FAEN

      Cheeto is hardly working.

      • jerry

Yeah, the “working” needed quotation marks.

        • Oh’behr in Minnesota

          and six point font.

        • FAEN

True! My apologies, not enough coffee.

    • Stubenville

I understand that despite his campaign promises not to, Cheetolini takes the salary offered.

      • jerry

Like what happened with veterans groups, he was called on it and had to donate. This last paycheck of around $100K was donated to Dept of Education…which was funny, because he was simultaneously trying to cut their budget by around $10B.

  • CJAS

Well, then I predict another loss.

  • Ross

    James Woods speaks!

    Does anybody listen?

    • Ken M

Not when we’re all waiting for Trump’s tweets of wisdom. 🙂 If they did an article w/o his pic, people would be saying…who?

    • James WHO?

  • TheManicMechanic

They’ll all be drink and shooting at each other anyway.

    • Oh’behr in Minnesota

Yes, everyone else stay at home and in safe places and let them shoot at each other.

  • Ken M

Line up the Senate side by side. The gun wielders wouldn’t know who to shoot. I sense a “kill em all” psychology kicking in.

  • Sam_Handwich
  • Oh’behr in Minnesota

Gosh, at one time colluding with the USSR (meant you were a traitor). Now with Trump and Russia for Republicans it’s hero worship. I’m aghast at when Republicans became so befuddled. Must have been when commies became totalitarian capitalists (with one dictator, Putin for life).

  • That_Looks_Delicious

I don’t see any physical combat record in his bio, but he sure has sued an awful lot of people. He wields a mean lawyer.

Brghahahaha!!! You think he’s lounging around in the “Dump” better known as the White House “for free”. Idiot!!!!!

  • Yalma Cuder-Zicci

Who are you going to shoot first, James Woods? I know you have someone in mind.

  • Stubenville

I hope the Secret Service details for the Obamas and Clintons are very, very well armed; I am truly concerned for their safety.

  • exGander

Don’t you have washed up actor things to do, James? Leave this to the adults.

  • greenmanTN

Yeah? Well I predict that all of James Woods best roles were in the 1980s and now he’s just another hateful old coot who needs to have his diaper changed.

    • jimbo65

My enjoyment of Videodrome has been sullied because of this asshat.

Leave it to Cronenberg to invent the “bioport” then sexualize it.

        • jimbo65

Of course I’ve seen Existenz, love Cronenburg! That movie predates Inception. And for my money did the whole “are they still in the simulation?” ending masterfully. I wish he would get back to doing more body horror movies.

          • greenmanTN

Even when he’s making a movie written by someone else his style shines through. The are several places in A History Of Violence there t “Yep, that’s David Cronenberg alright!”

            https://youtu.be/sNi80K5sTco

Is it just me or do all his films in someway involve how science alters the body?

Now I am not one to indulge in salacious gossip, but I’ve heard tell that Cronenberg and Viggo Mortenson were more than just friends, if you know what I mean.

            https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/69/3c/dd/693cdd92f8f0eaf617d9c300d9eb6807.jpg

Of course I don’t believe it because I haven’t seen it on the cover of the National Equirer when I was in line at the Piggly Wiggly.

Odd side note, but Viggo Mortenson was married to Exene from the band X, one of my faves back in the old days.

Stop me before I nerd again!!!

          • jimbo65

Lol First I’ve heard of that luv connection rumor. I’ve always seen his movies as having themes of the “new aesthetic” He always shined making the body horror movies. It’s funny, friend and I were talking about Elias Koteas and how much we love him especially in Crash. Ah well. That’s enough geeking out for me for today. 🙂

          • greenmanTN

Get your ass back in here! 😉

I’m totally playing. Have a good time.

I just hate Elias Koteas! (Liar liar pants on fire!)

Thanks. Yeah I’ve been aware of this one. Will have to add it to my vast queue of future viewings.

          • greenmanTN

It might resonate with me more than others because I was born and raised in the South. I don’t know how much of a Southern accent I have because things like that are best left to 3rd parties because we are not always the best judges of ourselves.

I think I’m “cis-gendered” but how many times have you met someone who prides themselves on their masculinity, “no femmes” but sounds a lot like Liberace huffing helium? I mean, I’m an unmarried artist in Tennessee who likes books, so I might as well be wearing a fucking dirndl! Who cares? After that you just shrug it off and just live your life. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/641e73c757dd8f68ae2819dd93c5b005fc9d575eaacd147c5a42dd557875335b.jpg

            Very nice work!

          • greenmanTN

Thank you for saying so. Really.

Honestly, very few people have seen my work so I truly appreciate that.

Just an aside, but I always seem to get a better response for work I do very fast, as opposed to sweating the details, trying for realism. It’s almost insulting in a way (I’m kidding mostly) because “It took me hours to get that detail right” and people are like, “Yeah, I can see the attention to detail there, but the other piece where you slapped paint around like you went after that canvas like you were using a fucking mop? I really like that one!” 😉 https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/2b3051f9e7f5ae3fadced8bce703d97ba712d96e8836d1bc6bee5910f64deff0.jpg

James Woods follower comments are an intense kind of MAGA crazy, much like Mr Woods himself. These are the big talking, flag waving christian patriots who love God and guns and the cult of Trump but claim victim-hood every day because life isn’t easy enough for them.

Was a pleasant 5 minutes of blocking these maga-tards from my twitter feed.

  • romanhans

Actually, if we shut down the escalators at 2,000 American malls most of Trump’s followers will be incapacitated.

    • BobSF_94117

We can accomplish the same thing by just shutting off the Down Escalators, and we won’t inconvenience everyone else.

      • OdieDenCO

“..and we won’t inconvenience everyone else.” until the upper floors collapse from exceeding load limits.

  • jimbo65

Anybody remember Sean Young? She was an actress that was involved with him in the 80s. She was painted out to be Fatal Attraction crazy after they broke up. Now, I’m thinking she was the sane one the whole time.

Hillary won the popular vote by nearly 3,000,000. Hillary won only 487 counties (or equivalents), but those included nearly all of the 146 counties (or equivalents) that are home to over half the US population and the 23 Standard Metropolitan Areas that account for over half of the US GDP. She did represent America.

    • Ricardo Cantoral

Nearly three million in terms of the popular vote. Only two percent more. We would still be divided if Clinton won. You also seem to forget that she insulted half the electorate when she dubbed called them “deplorables”. She was bought by corporations and she has sold out the common man anytime she smelled money. She could have killed that XL Pipeline but she and her husband were bought off by TD Banknorth who invested a fortune in that Pipeline. She doesn’t represent anybody but Wall Street.

A few months I mentioned that Woods was a very actor playing villains on screen. Well, he’s a nut case being a villain in real life also. Nut…nut.

Pathetic has been loser says what?
His acting career is in the toilet, he’s got to do something to stay in the limelight.

  • RJ Bone

Sooo, inciting violence, especially on a grand scale like civil war?

There should be visits from the alphabet in James’s (and the rest of these ammosexuals’) future. There won’t be, but there should be.

    • canoebum

Woods is no ammosexual. He’s a spoiled brat who needs to be bitch slapped told to sit the fuck down.

      • RJ Bone

        They all are.

  • Charlie

I love their threats of civil war…are they really so stupid that they don’t realize we have the same access to guns and ammo that they do?

    • Hank

    • Johnny Wyeknot

They might. Plus, most likely, some terminally pissed-off civilians who have been just waiting for some inbred white trash to give them a reason.

You don’t have all the guns. We can buy guns at WalMart and gun shows too. We have more money than you so we can buy better guns and more ammo and we can go to the shooting range more often. We are just waiting for your side to fire the first shots so we can claim self defense. Also, we won’t be so drunk we can barely stand up, let alone aim. Good luck with your self deluded threats.

  • 19Lyds

What a jackass thing to say. And the responders bragging about their weaponry (and their boobs)?

Less they forget, the National Guard would be who they would fight and that Military Unit swore oaths to defend the US Constitution. Not a commander in chief.

If Donald Trump is deposed, then that’s how this country and our constitution is designed to work.

If they decide to go on a shooting spree, there are plenty of National Guard and possibly US Marines that would be more than willing to step up to the challenge. Those Marines and the US Mititary also have a lot more that AR-15’s and 45s available to them. Helicopters, F-16’s, F-22’s, drones Tanks, Missiles and a whole lot more that simply isn’t available at your local gun store.

Sure, lot’s of innocent civilians would be hurt and maybe even lose their lives but “Duty to Country” is the basis of the US Military and civil disobedience is ALWAYS met with overwhelming response.

  • Niblet58

Might be awfully hard to form a militia with all those wheelchairs and hoverounds. Besides they will all just head over to Waffle House once they get hungry (about an hour after they “muster”).

  • Orly

If the #Democrats manage to reverse this election with their usual dirty tricks, there will be #CivilWar.

No there won’t. Oh sure, you’ll try to rile up your nut-job contingent to do the damage you are too much of a coward to do yourself, but since you aren’t actually operating on facts, you will fail.

  • Orly

30k rounds of ammunition …59 guns between me and hubby

Oh yeah?!?!! Well, I’ve got 130 billion rounds of ammunition and 40 ka-jillion guns just for myself! You losE!!1!11!

    /s

    • Bryan

Good to know they’re actually stupid enough to fall for playing Highest Number. Do you think they’ve survival buckets too? Which means they probably signed up for the Stormtrooper Marksmanship course. Givin’ em a gun to round it to 60…roughly 500 rounds a gun? Add the fact that they’re drunk, probably on meth and unlikely physically fit you can assume 498 of those bullets are gonna miss. So it’s less like they have 30k rounds of ammo and more like they have about 120. They can extend that to 240 if they follow up by chucking the magazine and then the weapon like a projectile.

  • kareemachan

Uh, does that one tweeter know how ineffectual a musket is? I’m a librul and I’ve shot them before, along with shotguns, rifles, and pistols.

Yeah, I’m not gun hating. I’m just not illogically stupid about them.

Also, 59 gunz and 30k rounds of ammo? 10 to 1 they’re on some form of gummint assistance, too, also.

  • Pat

You have to be really, really stupid to want to lay down your life for a family who not only wouldn’t give you the time of day outside a rally, but who wouldn’t rent you an apartment, allow you on their golf course or shitty restaurant, or have anything whatsoever to do with you aside from using you for votes and your tax money for vacations. When is the last time one of these militia imbeciles took a vacation?

Really, really, really stupid reason to die, but whatever. Be sure to clean your muskets with the safety latch off.

  • wmforr

Now I realize that when Woods is caste as a violent, fascist asshole, he isn’t acting. When he played Roy Cohn, he thought he was playing the hero.

    • Pat

I’m thinking back to Contact and his role as a douchebag. Must’ve been a no brainer for him.

  • Dan Houser

“I GOT A MILLION GUNS!” You can reload one with two hands. You’ve got A gun, and 999,999 staplers waiting to be picked up. For the record, you also posted an incitement to sedition in public.

I’ve just been alerting the ATF and FBI to the thread. Figured they’d know a violation of Chapter 115 when they saw one.

  • Dan Houser

James Woods is breaking the law. Shouting into what is ostensibly a microphone to a million people that Civil War is an inevitability. Yeah….that’s incitement. Just because you’re washed up and no one gives a shit – doesn’t mean that you’ve abdicated your responsibility as a citizen.

    https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/part-I/chapter-115

  • Oh, Parker

I forget, what is the average range in a hoveround?

  • Larry in Oklahoma

Let me address Woods and his fellow ones who threaten.
The only thing that we have to fear is fear itself.
They’re not going to organize a cavalry, not with his low approval ratings. There’s not THAT big of a following. How many of them are willing and ready to die for trump? How many of them are willing and ready to go to prison? Very few. Not enough to be scared of. Knowing we are also ready has to scare the crappy pants off them. Knowing we are not afraid really frightens them.

  • JohnInCA

Before 2019, Trump can only be impeached one way.

With Republican help and approval. Republican leadership is in charge of both the House and the Senate. Even if Democrats had enough Republican defectors to impeach Trump, that means nothing without Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnel.

Or to put it simply: prior to 2019, Trump can only be impeached if the Republican leaders want him to be. Democrats are unable to force the issue.

In 2019, the game might change, if Democrats take the House and the Senate. But if they don’t manage to take both, then it’s the same story: Trump can only be impeached with the permission of the Republican leadership.

And even then, if Republicans decided to impeach Trump, it wouldn’t “reverse” the election. You would get President Pence. Or if they decide to impeach him along with Trump (possible) it goes to Speaker of the House (currently Paul Ryan), then President Pro Tempore of the Senate (Orrin Hatch) and so-on.

Conclusion? These folks need to some basic American Civics 101. They’re threatening the wrong people for something that can’t happen.

  • Travis Morrow

Usual dirty tricks? Usual? What “usual” tricks are there? The fucking GOP intentionally took the vote away from Black voters in North Carolina, and specifically targeted black voters – but the Democrats want to get rid of a whiny incompetent ineffective failed Casino owner and Woods can spot lots of usual tricks.

I knew he was a smart guy but I didn’t know smarts lets you see into the Astral Plane.

    • Ricardo Cantoral

A DNC official admitted that his party was busing people to polling stations and other Democratic elites hired protestors. As for North Carolina, are you kidding ? All you have to do is walk down to your local DMV to get an ID. Don’t have a license and you can’t drive to the DMV ? Hitch a ride. I don’t want to hear this “black vote suppression” crap.

  • jonfromcalifornia

James Woods (like his twitter followers) has the brain of a potato (no offense to potatoes) because Robert Mueller is a REPUBLICAN and he should blame the investigation on the REPUBLICANS who empowered Mueller.

    • Ricardo Cantoral

Google James Woods’ IQ sometime and tell me again how dumb he is. Yes, IQ isn’t a perfect metric for intelligence but Woods is a lot sharper than the limousine liberals who are motivated by guilt and whatever they read in The Atlantic.

  • motorfingaz

    James Woods is a hemorrhoid

  • Thomas Cleaver

Wasn’t he dead? I remember when he was merely a talentless fuckup who no one wanted to hire because he was crazy. Some. Things. Never. Change.

  • Link Drako

These people are fucking morons… And whats worse, they consider themselves “patriotic”, but only give two shits about the 2nd Amendment, WHICH, they know literally nothing about. In fact, most people I have spoken to and viewed during interviews or at Republican Rallies whom align with Trump cannot do the following things:
    1. They have trouble spelling and reading (the signs they hold tell a rough story)
    2. They know little about our lands laws and constitution, yet swear they are patriots
    3. They are quick to judge, and quicker to get volatile when being judged
    4. Mostly a group of leeches whom are takers of welfare, yet complain that its ruining our country if ANYONE else uses welfare besides them (Republican held states reap the highest monetary value from government programs)

Personally, I wonder how these people even get out of bed. They care only about three things:
    1. Guns and Ammo
    2. Having a national enemy to fight
    3. Being right whether they are or not

  • Ryan Finn

I knew this thread would be stupid. Great work gang!

Those of us who support gun regulation also have guns. We have to have them because of all the damn guns everywhere and in the hands of nut jobs due to the lax gun laws.
And if there was a civil war, the young punks that want to join in the fun will easily know which houses to find guns in, since right wingers love to make it known how heavily they are armed.

James Woods, you must not be reading everything you can in the news. Otherwise, you’d know that Resident Rump has committed treason in World Cyber War I. This is punishable by hanging. Not only that, 150 + people joined him in secret to collude with the Russians to throw the election. This is punishable by hanging. You are much like Rump in that you are content to stay uninformed, but you lash out at the informed. Get schooled!

  • Carol Green

James Woods, you are a fool. You are inciting a riot. That offense is punishable by prison time. You’ll look great in a prison haircut.

  • Julian Edward Frost

Does he have any idea how daft he sounds? If Trump is impeached (something that will only happen if Republicans also vote for it – they dominate both Houses), then Mike Pence (VP – Republican) will take over.
