Homeland Security To Release Mar-A-Lago Visitor Logs

The Palm Beach Post reports:

Democratic senators have demanded them. Lawsuits have been filed. Now visitor logs for President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach will be released. Nonprofit government watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, or CREW, announced Monday morning that as part of an ongoing lawsuit, the Department of Homeland Security will release the logs to the organization by Sept. 8. CREW said it then plans to make public the lists of who has visited Trump’s exclusive social club.

“The public deserves to know who is coming to meet with the president and his staff,” CREW Executive Director Noah Bookbinder said in a news release. “We are glad that as a result of this case, this information will become public for meetings at his his personal residences—but it needs to be public for meetings at the White House as well.” Since taking office in January, Trump has visited Mar-a-Lago seven times.

So what will be released? Will it be the real visitor logs or doctored ones? Why do we have to wait until up to Sept 8, do they need time to rewrite the logs so no one knows Russian government officials met with Cheetohead at each of his visits. Release them immediately, there is no reason to wait.

I believe the Secret Service now provides protection when Trump is at Mar-a-Lago, so could they get away with faking the logs during the periods when he was there?

      • thatotherjean

There have been rumors that started when he was in office that the Secret Service escorted various ladies into the White House in ways that didn’t make the visitors’ log to “visit” JFK. Faking the logs–at least by omission–was possible then. Perhaps the Secret Service have become less accommodating over the years?

        • Skokieguy [Larry]

Considering the high esteem Trump has shown for US intelligence agencies, I’m sure they would totally help him hide visits. /s

    Lots of Russian mobsters.

If those logs show nothing, they’ve been doctored.
Innocent visitor logs would have been released immediately.

“By September 8”? Why the long delay? This sounds like a one-day task, not a 2-month task.

I hope drümpf will be out of office by 9/8, rendering the Margo-Largo visitor logs moot. Either that, or they’re taken into evidence at his criminal trial.

Criminals do not volunteer information. The list is probably doctored by the time its released. Their supporters are idiots who can’t see which cup the ball is hidden under. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/af38b2dbd3a60b0eb71ba56afe194378c2843d99da52c642d97a4d9682cf782b.gif is hidden under.

I think, for the president’s safety, Mar-A-Lago should be closed to the public, including paying members – no outsiders who do not have the highest government clearances.
