Caitlyn Jenner Claims She’s Quietly Working With The Trump Administration On LGBT Issues [VIDEO]

The Washington Post reports:

First, Caitlyn Jenner claimed she wanted to be a “trans ambassador” to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) during his presidential campaign. Then she cast her ballot for President Trump in the November election.

And now, Jenner — the famed transgender icon and one of the few high-profile celebrities to throw staunch support behind the Republican commander in chief — says she has been meeting with members of Trump’s administration to discuss issues of significance to the LGBT community.

During an appearance Thursday on the ABC talk show “The View,” Jenner was asked if she’d had the opportunity to sit down with any members of Trump’s administration to talk to them about the LGBT community. She said yes — but she wouldn’t name names. “I can’t talk about it,” she said. “I try to keep it quiet.”

  • Gustav2

I know some log party republicans. I don’t think that they’re liars, frauds, delusional, or inept. They just have a Sisyphean task. They’re trying to pull the republican party into the 21st century while the evangelicals are trying to pull it back into the 2nd century.

There are actually some LGBT people who believe in fiscal responsibility and small government, and want to change the system from the inside. If it were me, I’d have given up *LONG* ago.

We joke about the LCR and their lack of accomplishment, but I have respect for people who are at least *trying* to change things for the better, even if their strategy is different than mine.

That being said, some of the idiots *running* the LCR just want to suck republican cock and would sell their mothers into slavery for a chance to do the walk of shame with an orange mouth and/or asshole.

      • Reality.Bites

Problem is, the Republicans are the party of fiscal mismanagement on a grand scale and huge government.

If you want fiscal responsibility you vote Democratic Party. If you want a huge tax cut for people whose income level you’ll never attain and an exploding deficit you vote Republican

        • Thank you. So why don’t Democrats talk about that more? If you want to balance budgets, you want a Democrat. It’s Republicans that run up huge deficits. It’s an easy talking point to prove and yet I constantly talk to people who think it’s the opposite.

      • BobSF_94117

The last time a Republican cared about fiscal responsibility and small government was somewhere in the late 70s.

        • Think again. Nixon ran up deficits and so did Ford. Eisenhower reduced deficit spending briefly but only due to the end of the Korean War and then they went right back up again. Maybe someone back in the 19th century? But no Republican since WW2 has left office with the debt lower than when they went in. Only Clinton did that. Obama would have if he hadn’t had two wars and the W tax cut (which accounts for ALL the deficit spending in his 8 years).

      • nacinla

Yep, the myths about the GOP being the guardian of fiscal responsibility and individual freedom are long dead. The party now lurches from one impulse to the next. And one of the next fixations is “religious freedom,” which will allow them to discriminate against anyone they choose, but mainly gay people. LCR are going to be thrilled when 45’s SCOTUS nominees make that the law of the land, I’m sure.

      • Except that I see no evidence of them trying to do anything to move the GOP towards lbgt rights. In fact, most homocons (at least the ones writing blogs and books) are vehemently anti-trans. And most of their talking points are about bashing liberals and even blaming liberals for the fact that the GOP isn’t more pro-gay. See it’s all our fault for not supporting Republicans even though they are anti-gay.

      • TampaZeke

OK, so what does fiscal responsibility (they run up massive deficits and bring our economy to recession, and even the brink of depression, with every Republican administration) and small government (in our bedrooms) have to do with today’s Republican Party? No one can credibly claim to be Republican based on those values anymore. And maybe you could ask your LCR friends what SPECIFICALLY, they have done to “change the Republican Party from the inside.” As far as I can tell, their only purpose is to provide cover for homophobic Republicans and to perpetuate fake news about the Democratic Party on gay issues. They are the “gay friend” that raging homophobic Republican politicians are referring to when they are challenged on the latest homophobic/transphobic statement that they’ve made or the latest homophobic/transphobic policy that they’ve promoted and voted for. THAT isn’t changing the Republican Party on LGBT issues. It is covering for it and thereby perpetuating it. If you can name one year since 1977 that the Republican Party has been less homophobic than the year before, then maybe I’ll accept their claim. I can’t think of one. Maybe you can.

      • scottrose

The Rethugliturd scream for “small government” is phony.

Case in point — Governor Krispy Creme of New Jersey when Superstorm Sandy caused catastrophes in his state.

He had been saying the most appalling, bigoted, untrue things about President Obama — and screaming for “small government” — but as soon as Superstorm Sandy struck he was all into all the help that the federal government could provide.

Obama was gracious with him, even though he didn’t deserve good treatment on a personal level.

The “small government” loonies are never dealing in reality. Everything that they WANT to see government control, they fight to have government control.

If they’re really so opposed to government they could go live far off the grid undetected in a remote area of Wyoming or Montana — who is stopping them?

What I’m getting at is, I’ve observed the phenomenon enough to know that when Rethugliturds allege they are the party of “small government,” there are being insidious.

      • CottonBlimp

There are actually some LGBT people who believe in fiscal responsibility and small government

Republicans don’t believe in either of those things. Small government is just a euphemism for racism, and fiscal responsibility is just a euphemism for abandoning the poor, which is itself based heavily in racism.

If Republicans gave a single shit about either of those things they would have torn their party apart after the Bush years of intrusive out of control government and massive fiscal incompetence, but instead they voted in 2016 for someone even worse on both those issues.

      • cleos_mom

A few small corrections to the gopspeak; perhaps you’re not familiar with the lingo:

fiscal responsibility: starving each and every safety net program to give huge tax breaks to the mega-rich and a few pennies to small business owners to reinforce their common delusion that the Republican Party has something common with them

small government: a government that looks the other way when a black, LGBT, female, elder or anycombinationthereof employee is fired but wants to dictate who you can marry and how many children you have.

    • Rocco

      Perfectly put.

    • Dave B

And those are the good traits.

    • Well, 40 years ago they had a shot. Reagan actually came out against the Briggs Initiative before Carter did. But that was a long time ago and before Reagan decided to pander to the religious right. It’s been all gay-hate all the time from the GOP ever since.

      • TampaZeke

Please don’t buy into LCR’s selective memory on Reagan and the Briggs Initiative. According to Reagan himself, his opposition to the Briggs Initiative came from his fear that it would be misused as weapon by an “overwrought child with bad grades seeking revenge” in ways that could destroy the careers of “innocent heterosexuals”. As LCR often does, they twisted the facts to make a Republican look like a courageous hero for LGBT people and our rights when LGBT rights never entered into his thinking.

        • All true, but by 1982 Reagan would have been in support of that ballot initiative, not against it. The 1976 GOP platform called for passing the ERA. There was a change, maybe a slight one, that the GOP of today might not have been so full of idiots and bigots but Reagan went for that vote for 1980 and it’s been downhill on the path to where we are now ever since. It was deliberate and now we are all reaping what they sowed back then.

My point was that there was a point in LCR in the late 70s when it was founded. (A family friend was a founding member. He became a Democrat in 2004. Took him too long if you ask me but better late than never.) There is no point in pretending that they can have any influence now. Oh maybe they can get a vote or two for a bill but that’s about it. And since without a Democratic majority we can’t get any pro-lbgt legislation out of committee much less on the floor for a vote, we are rarely going to need those handful of votes anyway.

    • Chris Baker

Let me see… should I vote for the political party that has brought rights for gay people, or that party that is still trying to make being gay illegal? I don’t know. let me think about it…

The Montparnasse derailment occurred at 16:00 on October 22, 1895 when the Granville–Paris Express overran the buffer stop at its Gare Montparnasse terminus. With the train several minutes late and the driver trying to make up for lost time, it entered the station too fast and the train air brake failed. After running through the buffer stop, the train crossed the station concourse and crashed through the station wall; the locomotive fell onto the Place de Rennes below, where it stood on its nose. A woman in the street below was killed by falling masonry. The engineer was fined 50 francs and one of the guards 25 francs.

    • B R A V O ! ! ! !

That was the very first thought that galloped thru my head reading Joe’s headline.

  • Gregory B

Boy, I’d keep it quiet too if I were in her platform shoes.

  • dcurlee

Please. Stfu you only think of you …. period

  • Mark

    Delusional.

    • TuuxKabin

Beat me to it by an hour. So delusional.

  • TexasBoy

I’m sure there were some Jewish folks quietly working with Hitler’s administration for Jewish rights, too.

  • Ninja0980

And all you have to show for it is more anti-LGBT judges on the courts.
Thanks but no thanks for your help.

  • Jason

Must be really quiet because they’re not listening. Or maybe they find her as irrelevant as the rest of us do.

  • Robincho

Quiet? I’ve got something that’ll keep Cuntlyn quiet…

  • Guest

    Oh Caitlin, FUCK OFF.

  • Miss Quisling is working hard to help decide where to put the camps, and if we will be starved and worked to death, or just allowed to starve….

  • Acronym Jim

It looks like WaPo misspelled “infamous transgender transcon.”

  • Tallulah

That trout-mouthed has been does not represent me and never will! Someone slap her…hard!

  • BobSF_94117

    Then please stop.

  • SockMikey

    Caitlyn,

    Jeff Sessions wasn’t available?

  • bobbyjoe

Anybody currently watching the Twin Peaks revival can now join me in daydreaming about Laura Dern’s Diane character responding to Caitlyn Jenner:

Diane: What did you say your name was?
    Caitlyn: Caitlyn.
    Diane: Fuck you, Caitlyn.

  • Rocco

    Stupid skank.

  • glass
    • trouble94114

Ok, so with the amount of money she spent on plastic surgery you would have thought she’d have coughed up and extra $5 or $10 to make sure that she wouldn’t be able to make THAT face.

  • geoffalnutt

    Putiny?

  • Gerry Fisher

How strange! The poor door thinks that she’s important and influential. Honey, you step-parented some reality TV stars, is all.

  • BearEyes

quiet – like it never happened?

  • rextrek1

its become too sad – she doesn’t realize the GOP is LAUGHING at her……and well as the SANE LGBTQ people……..

  • Kevin Perez

Does “quietly” mean telling to The View?
    She’s not helping!

  • leastyebejudged

The media makes people like this whore famous.

  • Stubenville

Knitting. You should take up knitting, dear. It’s a respectable hobby, offends no one, and you have concrete proof that you did something.

  • Barry William Teske

Because unity is up to just one actor speaking for all others.
You know what we need honey?

  • The_Wretched

    Anyone other than her please.

  • TuuxKabin

    Delusional.

  • Travis Morrow

Go away you horrible fame whore. No one has ever liked you.

  • nacinla

The problem is that some in the community rushed to elevate Jenner to some kind of role model status when (s)he hadn’t done anything to merit it. Now, she has to periodically resurface to remind us of her celebrity status because, really, none of us care about her or anything she has to say and she’s long fallen off the radar of any sensible human being. And has been pointed out elsewhere here, these Log Cabin types have been working “secretly”/”behind the scenes” FOR DECADES and the official policy of their party has only gotten worse. They may have managed to snag a booth in some far corner of a reich-wing convention, but when it comes to law and policy, they have nothing to show from their party. But when 45 gets to appoint another Neanderthal to the Supreme Court, the charade will be over.

  • kareemachan

I’m just guessing here, but not knowing her at all before, was she always like this or are the various prescriptions I’m assuming she’s on having an effect?

And I’m not being snarky. My kid is on prednisone and admits to mood changes and hoping to wean off of it sometime soon.

  • TuuxKabin

five vapid people four of them enabling.

  • Hank
  • Mike

Is it transphobic to tell Caitlin to go fuck herself? Gee I hope not. Go fuck yourself, Caitlin.

  • Typical homocon (transcon?). So impressed that they were allowed into a meeting (in the basement in the middle of the night when no one would see) which might be impressive it this were 1977 and not 2017. The right is doubling down on the anti-lbgt bigotry and they just can’t admit it. The only silver lining: Trump got a smaller percentage of the gay vote than any Republican presidential candidate has since there was a polling question to track that.

  • GanymedeRenard

She doesn’t represent anyone but her selfish self.

  • Why are Republicans, no matter their gender, always the sexppigs in any room. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/0f9c02784c52ef17d6f104400b10812ac2882f0a19b1638c3ad99efb5c57bca5.jpg

  • Raising_Rlyeh

Oh, I’m so sure she is. That’s why sessions is not about to issue “guidelines” which will give the rwnjs carte blanche to discriminate. Fuck her.

  • margaretpoa

Fuck you, you bitch! Go back to your fucking sideshow. You have no right to speak for my community, nor are you qualified to.

  • Friday

Trying to sell out very hard, but no one’s buying.

  • Michael Hampton

She is NOT a “trans icon.” She is a desperate attention whore who will say anything for press. Please stop giving her the attention she so desperately craves.

  • ChiTownGuy

“Trans icon”? No more than my my gay ass is a lesbians playground. Seriously, she is not even an ally of any our alphabet soup of communities.

  • netxtown

Nope. Ain’t gonna watch. She irritates the living shit right out of me with her GOP suckup and ‘look at me’ arrogance.

  • Nowhereman

Go sit on it and spin, Caitlyn. We will be much better off if you would be so quiet that we never hear of you or from you ever again. What you know and understand about LGBT issues could be written on the head of a pin and still leave room for your dissertation on how the hardest thing about being a woman is deciding what clothes to wear. Oh, and GFY.

  • Pip
  • JCF
  • The Milkman

Great. I’m not sure which secret meeting revolts me more, Natasha making big trouble for moose and squirrel, or this Kardashian wannabe.

  • RJ Bone

    Dear Caitlyn,

Go. Away. Like, forever. And take your friends with you.

    Signed,

    The good people of Earth.

  • pdquick

I’m betting the people she talked to were the same ones Trump had scouring Hawai’i for evidence of the forgery of Trump’s birth certificate.

That is to say, imaginary friends.

  • And accomplishing nothing of note. Congrats.

  • BartmanLA

All I can say to her claim is Bullshit! I don’t believe for a minute she’s having any actual impact on LGBTQIA issues in any way shape or form, she’s just trying to stay in the public eye to either hawk a book, tv show or something just to make her some money. It’s all fluff and no substance. Sorry Cati I don’t buy it at all.

  • normadesmond

Might someone stuff her cock down her mouth?
    Thank you.

  • Mickey Bitsko

Hey, somebody has to sharpen the pencils during the hate group meetings, right?

    • Paula

      Coffee doesn’t pour itself!

  • gothambear

shut up shut up shut up – no one wants to hear from you, you worthless piece of rancid excrement…oh yes, and murderess…

  • Skeptical_Inquirer

2nd worst Kardashian (She’d be number one except Rob posting private pics is both low and probably illegal)

  • Bettyrcole

  • SDG

Oh bull shit! That bitch will do ANYTHING to get on the news!

  • TheManicMechanic

Shut up, Caitlin, the adults would like to speak now.

  • Paula

She may be a famed Transgender, she is certainly no icon. Unless its an icon for greed, stupidity, and arrogance.
Caitlyn, go fuck yourself with a jackhammer.

  • Lindoro Almaviva

Can not wait for this bitch to go

  • Lindoro Almaviva
  • Matt

    We don’t need your “help.”

Whispering to a picture of Trump on your nightstand isn’t working quietly with the administration. This is one of those situations where we’d like you to stop helping.

  • John from The Couch

Bruce Jenner knows shit about LGBT issues. Shehe knows more about makeup and wigs and plastic surgery than being lesbian, gay or bisexual…maybe trans but I honestly doubt he is helping anyone other than shimself get publicity.
