Trump Family Wedding Planner Formally Appointed To Role Overseeing Multi-Billion Dollar Housing Agency

The New York Daily News reports:

A Trump family wedding planner was officially appointed Monday to her new job overseeing federal housing in New York. Lynne Patton, the regional administrator for Housing and Urban Development, has zero experience in housing. She is responsible for distributing billions of taxpayer dollars to public housing in New York and New Jersey.

“I have no doubt that Ms. Patton’s unique ability to engage and foster viable relationships across bipartisan silos will serve both New York and New Jersey well,” Secretary Ben Carson said in a statement. Carson, a neurosurgeon who sought the Republican nomination for president last year, also had no government experience before President Trump nominated him to run HUD.

Patton claims to have a law degree from Quinnipiac University, but the school says she only attended for two semesters and did not graduate. Patton is now responsible for HUD Region 2, the nation’s largest public housing agency.
