The Washington Examiner reports:
President Trump criticized former Attorney General Loretta Lynch on Tuesday morning, saying Lynch’s actions during her time leading the Justice Department were “totally illegal.” Trump appeared to be referencing a revelation from former FBI Director James Comey’s testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee last week.
During the hearing, Comey said Lynch asked him to refer to the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email use as a “matter” rather than an “investigation.” Clinton’s campaign had also been calling the probe a “matter.” Comey said Thursday that Lynch’s request left him feeling “queasy.” Trump also criticized the media in a subsequent tweet.
A.G. Lynch made law enforcement decisions for political purposes…gave Hillary Clinton a free pass and protection. Totally illegal!
